I was really curious because I've had plenty of matches where getting even one generator to 50% seems impossible (a lot of my random matches). If I'm ever in that situation now, I just wait for the hatch. Nobody seems to be helping anyone else and it gets old when I'm single-handedly trying to cover the other 3 survivors with no reciprocation. I shouldn't have to worry about dying for trying to be a good teammate (and this is how Basement Bubba's are born).

I was fi ally unfortunately body blocked while running away from the killer. A Meg (of course) seen me coming and instead of crouching away she stood there and watched the killer turn the corner and now I'm stuck between the two. I'm not sure if the killer noticed because she wasn't tunneled or even hooked, in fact she got hatch. She didn't even pick me up when I was slugged but unhooked me unsafely and watched me get downed again.
I've never been so shocked at this game. Like I've only come in contact with decent people who help there team. Like it was incredibly toxic and for what? A few blood points ? I don't understand the why? I'm not gonna lie I was salty about it when it happened but now I'm like.. why tho? Like Megs are yall good? Who hurt you?
Yep, body blockers are some of the "gems" in the DBD community (toxic). You won't find them often but when you least expect it... I had an Ace stand in front of a 3-light gate switch with the killer right behind me. He just stood there shaking his head. I think that I ended up escaping because I dodged the 2nd hit and it landed on the Ace.

Yeah I didn't see any toolboxes. The speed continued until I found the last two. If anything, I think that one of them was being subtle.

Gens take 80 seconds with 1 Survivor.
47 Seconds with 2 Survivors.
39 seconds with 3 Survivors
36 seconds with 4 Survivors.
So under 30 seconds is probably not possible, but around that, is indeed possible if they all spawn there. Which is not a bad situation for the Killer tbh, 4 Survivors on one Gen means that it is done very fast, but also not efficient on the Survivor Side.
Thank you. I figured that one of the two Meg's that I found last was up to something.

It's ok I guess although smart people will figure it out that you have lightborn the first blind attempt then it's just a wasted perk slot
Sometimes. I noticed that people just start to hide and hope the Killer DC's after the blinding doesn't work. Of course this is after one teammate has died.
-
Also I highly suggest bringing Lightborn even if you don't see flashlights. I had survivors running a scavenger build (appraisal, plunderers, ace) and they brought coins into the match. All of them managed to find flashlights so yeah... not that it made a difference.

I also dont find pressing m1 to repair all gens asap and doing nothing else whatsoever.
I understand that. I do the same most of the time. The only time I'll camp is if it's an SWF or if it's someone thats clearly trying to be annoying (taunting).

That is such a good video. Just watching the DHs followed by the teabags at the beginning makes one cheer for Basement Bubba.
Agreed. And the good thing is that you don't need to run NOED because the chainsaw is an insta-down. I only camp if I see that gens are popping and I suspect someone of shady behavior.

Lol i remember a while ago a swf of three had flashlights and i was the 4th survivor and i put in pre-game chat "i don't think this is a good idea the killer could have lightborn"
The killer did have lightborn and we all died at 4 gens
one of them just said "disgusting" in endgame chat
Exactly! I almost always run Lightborn because it's gotten out of control with the abuse and "clicky-clicky." As a Survivor, I prefer to sab hooks and try to cover my teammates. Personally, I think that shows real skill and I always enjoy meeting randoms with the same mindset. Don't get me wrong, flashlights aren't the issue, it's entitled Survivors that can't go into a match without clicking, taunting, and group blinding. Then when they see it doesn't work, you are automatically a, "Sh** Killer" according to the endgame chat.

It doesn't matter that you don't like tunneling, slugging, facecamping, proxycamping or bodyblocking. None of these valid strategies used by the killer gives you the right to wish cancer, send death threats, harass, or try to diminish someone self esteem.
These past days, I have been enjoying the following build with my nurse : BBQ, Pain resonance, No way Out, Noed. I have been playing so much Agitation / Starstruck in my nurse career I thought it was time to change my build. The strategy is simple : tunnel someone out and get no way out token to finish off the team in endgame if they are not dead before.
It is actually a good build and less stressful than Agitation / Starstruck because you don't need to keep track of as many variables but the amount of hate I received is unbearable to the point of affecting my mental health, for real. For example, yesterday the survivor team was so mad they insulted my mother (I suppose you can guess what they said about her), wished death to my grandmother (she is actually very sick, even if they have no idea you can imagine how it makes you feel), told me I was the garbage of society then they flood my steam profil with insults and tried to add me friend to send me disgusting pornographic images of male genitals. Yes, all of this because they felt rightful to do so.
When I point this hate to survivors, politely, they always find excuses :
- The game is -18 therefore it's OK to insult someone you are an adult and you can take it
- You were toxic first : I stoped counting how many times someone told me "gg wp" is toxic (it's the only thing I say in end chat)
- You deserve it because you used X or Y strategy
NOBODY DESERVES TO BE TREATED LIKE THAT. THEY ARE NO EXCUSES.
My suggestion to end this hatred is to educate survivors, please create commands in the end game chat such as !tunnel !slug !camp with an automatic message reminding these are valid strategies, and that hate speech / harassment is NOT allowed. I am seriously considering stoping playing DBD for good, I used to have so much fun playing after work and chill. Now I launch the game, stare at the main menu and quit immediately to avoid the odds of getting matched against this kind of survivors.

PS : Sorry for my bad english but I really hope BHVR will read this and address it.
As a newborn Basement Bubba, I beg to differ. I absolutely love when a team makes me sweat and then ends up piling into a basement to save one survivor. The messages have been quite graphic and yet hilarious all afternoon.

SWF’s usually just bring the meta dominance crutch perks & pick each other up, so not seeing much usage there.
I main Solo Q whenever I play survivor, and when I run Expo, killers usually pick up immediately anyway; but it does slightly help ppl who bring flip flop to be able to wiggle free easier... also, flip flop’s a rarity, so there’s that.
Regardless, Exponential has saved many games for me & solo q teammates. I have been using it with CoH, since most SQ players are hoping for a heal; then, when they find out it’s also Expo, they at least know there’s potential for distraction, long enough for a survivor to pick themselves up.
Free unbreakable for everyone can’t be that unappealing, still don’t see it used in solo as much as it could be.
I always make sure to run Flip-Flop. My main survivor build is Flip-Flop, Tenacity, Boil Over, and Power Struggle. Sometimes I'll sub. PS for CoH of Exponential. And FYI, there's a certain place on Ormond where you can really utilize No Mither but you need to bring Soul Guard (every killer I've done this to just stands over my body on that map). Flip-Flop = 50% max wiggle progression. BO = 33% of your current wiggle for each drop-down. Tenacity = Crawl quickly while recovering and building your wiggle simultaneously. No Mither = Auto Recovery. Soul Guard = same effect as BT but for you.

Run Corrupt... For early game (If you are worried about it)
SH:PR and DMS seems to be the thing to go to
Cheats are a thing to be Sus of... but it's more like those two gens were started at the same time with either one or two Survivors on them
Huntress Lullaby is not that good right now... What you need to instant pressure and not built up pressure... Also Huntress Lullaby doesn't effect those Survivors with nothing else to focus on
I Run Ruin, Surveillance, Discordance, Whispers sometimes as Doctor
Interesting build. I've heard about Surveillance so maybe I'll try it again. And it's funny that you mentioned Corrupt because I never tried to run that. As a survivor it definitely annoys me since I'll need to look around but you're right, it's a great way to get a head start as a killer.

The perk that many people say is useless and super bad, I feel like people don't understand just how powerful this niche perk is. Sure it may not be as strong as circle of healing or other meta perks, but in my opinion, this perk is definitely A tier worthy because it only gets better if circle of healing is also in play. The problem most people run into while using this perk is that you really need a good totem spawn and understand where this perk will get the most use.
Think of it as unbreakable, when it works it works wonders, but boon: exponential's difference is that it doesn't work once it can work multiple times throughout the game all it takes is some work on the survivor's part. The perk itself has a harder time in solo, but it really shines in swf and can win games if everything aligns, I have no idea why people say it's a bad perk perhaps it gets overshadowed by circle of healing?
It's a hit-or-miss for me. My usual build entails Flip-Flop, Boil Over, Tenacity, and Power Struggle. Sometimes I'll sub PS with Circle of Healing or Exponential (I look at my lobby first and gauge my teammates before deciding). Once in awhile, I'll sub Tenacity with one of the two boons mentioned above but I prefer having Tenacity for emergency situations (e.g., getting slugged and trying to find the Hatch or pallet assuming that I'm running PS).

My advice to you would be, if you see multiple survivors in the lobby with flashlights, and especially if you suspect they're in a SWF, when you down a survivor, just take a few seconds to look around and do a quick patrol of the area to see if any survivors are getting in position for a save, and then bait the first pick up so that they come out of hiding and send them away with a good smack. Do this multiple times if you know for a fact that there are survivors around trying to get the save. Other than that, just do your best to always be looking at a wall when you pick up if possible, and if not, then make sure you turn away from any survivors relatively nearby before you pick up so that they can't get the save in time.
Personally, I don't find flashlights OP at all, but I sympathize with your frustration. Good luck.
I like that you mentioned this. If I suspect an SWF then I'll run Lightborn, Franklins Demise, NOED, and Starstruck. Depending on my Killer and mood, I might sub Franklins for Tinkerer. I'm finding Starstruck to be somewhat useful lately since these specific teams always manage to find the NOED totem seconds after it activates (yeah not SUS at all right, lol). Franklins is just for the added effect of making them lose their precious flashlights and then yelling at me in the after-game (assuming they have PSN).

Like seriously, the angles are ridiculous, im staring dead center at a wall and a survivor flashes on the side of my face and it counts!? Then you can double stun maybe even triple stun so fast with the add ons!
If any of you survivor mains are gonna tell me "Just run lightborn" or "Learn how to evade them" I swear you dont know how it feels to get robbed of a nice chase.
My advice to you is to run Lightborn. It will save you a lot of headaches. Some survivors are way too comfortable clicking and flashing but then panic when they realize, "Lightborn? Chuckles I'm in danger!" It's one less issue that you'll need to worry about. If you really want an added effect, run Lightborn and Franklin's Demise. I get a ton of nasty messages about making someone lose their precious Purple Flashlight. At this point, I have more respect for survivors that know how to cover each other by sabbing hooks. Don't get me wrong, nothing wrong with flashlights but some people can't cope without being able to use one.

We seriously need better report system and reporting in game should be enough. It should not be hard, when someone has so much reports. Just add them list and follow their moves for a while.
Agree 100%!!! I confronted a full-blown cheater on PSN (teleporting, insta-down, etc.) I knew the in-game would do nothing so I messaged him after the game. Apparently, PSN takes reporting very seriously, and even though he was nasty in chat, I just happened to call him a "Loser" which PSN flagged and sent me a warning about. Imagine that... for one word. At least it wasn't a ban I guess.

Hello class, welcome to Bad Perk University! I'll be your professor for today, and we'll be going over the worst perks The Entity has to offer and see how to make the most out of them. Welcome to another double lesson! This time it’s Flip Flop and Power Struggle. I’ve been wanting to cover these two perks for a long time now, but school work took priority, and even then, out of a refusal to buy Ash just to unlock his character model and perks, it took me a long time to even acquire Flip Flop. Remember, if I don’t own a perk, I can’t test it in the field. Spoilers though, my findings basically resulted in the conclusion that while you CAN run either perk without the other, it’s probably in your best interest to run them together anyway.
Let’s talk about the perk that’s technically more useful. Flip Flop is an interesting idea for a perk. What it does is that as you recover after being downed by the killer, 50% of your recovery progress is converted to wiggle progress when you get picked up. This means that if you recover 99% percent, you’ll gain about 50% wiggle progress when the killer picks you up. Wiggling out takes about 16 seconds, meaning you can potentially reduce the time needed to about 8 seconds. Which is good and all, but...
So why is this perk bad? Being able to wiggle out faster is certainly powerful, but the problem with this is that if it becomes too easy to do, the game completely breaks down. Much like Breakout, Breakdown, and Boil Over, Flip Flop has to be kept weak in order to be remotely balanced, because if it’s too difficult to hook anyone, killers are forced to slug, and last time I checked, nobody liked that. The obvious problem with Flip Flop is that it basically does nothing if the killer picks you up right away, which they often will if they have no reason to slug. And in the best case scenario where you’re slugged long enough to recover all the way, if a hook happens to be nearby, you’re still getting hooked. The ideal situation to be in when you’re slugged is to crawl to a corner of the map, far from any hooks, and also hope that the killer isn’t using Agitation or Iron Grasp. Oh yeah, that’s right, those perks can make Flip Flop much harder to get use out of, and they’re not super uncommon perks either. Granted, Iron Grasp is just a slower version of Agitation for the most part, but they’re the bread and butter of any camping Bubba. Don’t get me wrong though, I have absolutely clutched my way to escaping because the killer wasn’t expecting me to wiggle out that fast, but it was mostly incidental due to my teammates distracting the killer, and not out of any real coordination (Make a note of that for later, students). There are certainly ways to make Flip Flop happen more regularly though, and I’ll talk about them in a little bit.
Now let’s talk about Power Struggle. This is another interesting perk. When you get picked up by the killer, reaching 15% wiggle progress will activate Power Struggle, allowing you to drop a pallet if the killer walks through it, stunning them and freeing yourself. It also highlights nearby pallets in yellow auras when you’re downed, similar to Windows of Opportunity, letting you see potential pallets you can use. Sounds pretty powerful right? And yet...
So why is this perk bad? With the recent buff to Power Struggle, it’s certainly a bit easier to get use out of Power Struggle, but only if the killer isn’t expecting it. See, the thing about Power Struggle is that on its own, it relies on the killer walking through a pallet in order to make it work. Even if you didn’t have Power Struggle, killers who have more than a few hours in the game know better than to even approach a pallet while carrying a survivor, for risk of another survivor dropping it on their head. Worse yet, if you’re unlucky or if the killer see it coming, they can just barely avoid the pallet as you drop it, completely foiling your Power Struggle attempt. This doesn’t happen that often if you’re careful though, but the point is, getting Power Struggle plays is difficult, and for the same reason mentioned before. If Power Struggle were too easy to do consistently, it would break the game. I’ve heard that this perk is actually banned in some DBD tournaments, since it can cause the killer to be unable to hook survivors properly. So spoilers, me making a Bad Perk University post isn’t me advocating for a buff to Power Struggle. At this point in the lesson, you already know what comes next.
So how do we make the most out of these perks? Flip Flop and Power Struggle have a strong synergy when paired together. Since Flip Flop converts your recovery progress to wiggle progress, once you get picked up by the killer, you can potentially start with some wiggle progress already, enough to surpass the 15% needed to use Power Struggle. This means that if you position yourself under a pallet and the killer delays picking you up for just a little bit, you can immediately drop the pallet on their head without giving them any way to avoid it. Remember how I mentioned coordination before? This is where playing in a SWF with comms is extremely helpful to the strategy. Your friends can act as a distraction to the killer, preferably with flashlights, making it so the killer can’t possibly pick you up right away. In the best case scenario, they can lead the killer away and allow someone else to pick you up. In the worst case scenario, they might go down as well. The important part here is that they bought you enough time to recover. Now it’s entirely possible that you might not get to use Power Struggle if the killer decides to leave you slugged, and that’s OK. It’s boring, but it’s preferable to getting a hook state. But what if you’re solo? There are still things you can do to improve your chances. These next perks also apply if you’re coordinating with a friend, but I’ve found mild success even on my own.
Since Flip Flop converts recovery progress to wiggle progress, you’ll want perks that increase your recovery speed so you can reach that 15% threshold as fast as possible. Oh yeah, you know what that means. Unbreakable, on top of being a strong perk on its own, allows you to recover a whopping 35% faster, giving the killer even less time to think about picking you up. Windows of Opportunity might seem redundant since Power Struggle already shows you pallet auras when you’re downed, but the trick with the build is to go down at a pallet, so having a perk that shows you pallets at a distance can be useful. Tenacity is technically not necessary for this build, but it’s extremely helpful in making sure you make it to a pallet, or failing that, crawling as far away from a hook as possible. Keep in mind, if Power Struggle as a last resort isn’t an option, Flip Flop serves as a last last resort. For that reason, Boil Over may also help. The increased struggle can be rather annoying for the killer, to the point where they might have to walk through a pallet to get to the closest hook. This doesn’t help much, but the hiding of hook auras might be more helpful. Whatever gives you the best chances, right? And if you really want to go crazy with recovery speeds, you can throw Exponential into the mix. Light a totem in a convenient spot with pallets, run the killer to that area, go down under a pallet, and your Power Struggle play is all but guaranteed.
With all this talk of making Power Struggle unavoidable, there is one killer in particular where a build like this makes their life miserable. Let’s talk about how this build interacts with The Twins. *sigh* You want to make the Twins even more unplayable in the current meta than they already were? Do you take sick pleasure in kicking Victor after Dead Hard validation? Do you wish nothing but ire for anyone who even remotely likes playing Twins? Well, this build is for you. Sorry, let me run it back a little…
OK look, it’s no real surprise that anti-slugging builds like this hurt the Twins hard. The most effective method of playing the Twins, which is downing survivors with Victor, becomes all but useless if you play your cards right and make sure to put the Twins in situations where it is physically impossible to hook you. This isn’t really a problem with anti-slugging builds though, as with any other killer, it’s more of a meme than anything, it’s a problem with how the Twins are designed. The only reason Twins rely on slugging so much is because their clunkiness and the current meta almost demand it. That 5 second cooldown after Victor downs a survivor is the absolute worst thing to happen to the Twins, and all it does is encourage slugging even more, because the Twins don’t have time to go and hook survivors in some situations. But I’m getting off topic, the point to be made here is that the Flip Flop/Power Struggle build counters Twins hard, so if you wanted a reason to run these perks, you have one.
Closing thoughts, how do we make these perks better? Both Flip Flop and Power Struggle are in an interesting position, because even though in most situations, they’re not particularly useful, in the situation they’re meant for, they’re extremely strong. So as weak as these perks can be, once again, they have to be for the sake of balance. So what, does that mean they don’t need changes? Well, for the most part, no, but there is one change I’d like to make for the future. Boil Over notifies the killer when it’s in play, warning them to be careful when falling from a high place, since that gives the survivor wiggle progress. However, Flip Flop doesn’t do this, which I personally think is strange. I believe the only reason Flip Flop doesn’t notify the killer is because the perk on its own is already pretty weak, and if the perk were consistently good, it would need to warn the killer (I say that, yet Boil Over isn’t even good and it gives a notification). I’m of the opinion that Flip Flop should warn the killer when it’s in play, allowing the killer to make an informed decision on whether to go for the hook anyway, or drop the survivor because they don’t have time to get to a hook. Yeah...I’m asking for a nerf to Flip Flop, that’s probably not going to sit well with a lot of people. If it makes you feel better, if the issues with Twins were addressed and they were changed to make them less clunky and more fun to go against, I think Flip Flop giving a notification would be fine. Power Struggle is fine as it is now. Short of a complete rework, there isn’t any way to make these perks any stronger without making hooking survivors impossible. I get it, it’s fun to escape the killer’s grasp, just look how long Decisive Strike was broken and overpowered. But please keep in mind that the killer is a player too, and their fun is important as well. Until then, go meme to your heart’s content. Thank you for coming to my lesson, see you next class!
TL;DR: Flip Flop and Power Struggle suck for balance reasons. To make the most out of them, run perks like Unbreakable and Exponential to increase recovery speed, Tenacity and Windows of Opportunity to make sure you’re under a pallet when you go down, and Boil Over to make hooking you more difficult if Power Struggle isn’t an option. If you go up against Twins, make them cry with this build.
I run Flip-Flop, Boil Over, Tenacity, and Power Struggle. Sometimes I'll sub. PS for Exponential and there is ONE map specifically that you can really utilize No Mither & Soul Guard (no it's not the RPD or Crow Tower). All in all, it depends on where you fall and whether or not the killer decides to pick you up right away (this is where Flip-Flop comes into play).

Escaping the killer’s grasp almost always requires at least one other survivor to help, if not more. That’s how it’s supposed to be. Even running an entire anti-carry build will not guarantee the survivor wiggles off.
True. Flip-Flop definitely helps but only if the killer doesn't pick you up right away. Maybe I should have focused this topic on uncooperative survivor teams. That's more what I was aiming at.
-
@GoshJosh said:
Had to look it up on the wiki to realize it’s already been nerfed before. The perk is perfectly fine. It adds less than two seconds to the wiggle timer. If a killer wants to dedicate perks that only affect the carrying function, then they better be worthwhile.
Not to mention killers are given Rift challenges associated with basement hooks, and might need the extra support from perks from time to time.
I would rather face Agitation, Iron Grasp - and yes, even both - before NOED. You’re crazy!
Ahh I didn't know that. I mean I'm not a fan of NOED even though I run it but the thing is that NOED can be countered by finding the totem. Iron Grasp on the other hand is more of a permanent nuisance unless you have atleast one survivor backing up their teammates.
-

You aren't supposed to wiggle out.
The wiggle mechanic is designed to prevent Killers from basement hooking on every down. Iron Grasp + Agitation just extends that range.
Okay one sec, so survivors aren't supposed to wiggle out? Wouldn't that make the game pointless? I don't think that a hook or wiggling out should be guaranteed, but are you suggesting that survivors shouldn't have a chance? I never walk into a match expecting a 4k.

no tbagging or any bm was done i guess i was too good and he got mad? i decided to try to get off the hook since 2 tm were on the other side of the map and 1 tried to get me off but got grabbed and put down.
i NEVER camp on first hook and avoid using camping perks unless they have a reason but they are mostly useless aka like monstress shrime which idk why it is a thing but in gen camping on first hook is SO OUT THERE.
next time i will just wait for my tm to get me but i was thinking whats the point since hes just gonna face camp everyone and decided to try to unhook myself.
like this is just so so weird man he was so weird for doing this on first hook it just makes no sense why people do this but idc since he gets no bp and no pips so hes just wasting his time unless he is trolling and doing this on purpose but i think you depip so idk why this is a thing tbh.
i just could not believe this just camped me on first hook when i am so bad on surv and just got lucky to loop for so long.
Yeah as a 50/50 I agree that face-camping is dirty but that doesn't mean that I don't do it when the situation calls for it. I had a 4-man SWF that were clearly cheating last night so I face-camped all of them. It didn't do anything because they somehow auto-unhooked themselves and would close-in on me (the three that weren't hooked). It was ridiculous but again, they were clearly cheating and blocking each other.

Same. it stopped for awhile but recently started up again for me. I'm on the east coast of the US and I noticed a pattern which is why I stop playing killer after 8 pm. I noticed that the later it gets, the more likely it is that you'll get cheaters match after match (on both sides of the aisle). Not going to lie, but I did hang around once as a survivor when another survivor was openly cheating. I didn't notice it at first until I kept getting insta-healed and all of the other survivors DC'ed along with the killer.

Okay so I think there should be a perk that blocks access to all totems for a specific amount of time or something that renders hex totems invisible for a specific amount of time. Whenever I play killer, the 4-man SWF's always seem to locate every single totem as if they've memorized the locations (that needs to be fixed as well). I've memorized the vicinities but not the actual locations.

The sublte cheaters that just deny when caught are the lowest of the low, imagine denying and acting like you played fair like you actually had the skill to play that good, just sad.
Whenever a player messages me "EZ" after a match, it's usually one that was obnoxious throughout the match. And it's true, some players are skilled but theres no denying SUS behavior when it's recorded.

Usually these unskilled survivors that need cheats to be able to loop a killer they're the most toxic clicky clicky and tbaging ones and killers are forced to tunnel and camp because of survivors toxicity.
Exactly. That's why I run Lightborn as a safety precaution. I don't mind getting blinded but some teams teleport the second you pick up a downed survivor. I tend to ignore the clicky clicky because I know they're doing it on purpose (originally I ran Franklins but with the recent increase in cheating, Lightborn seems to help me out more). Don't get me wrong, I've met terrible killers too but when you consider 4 Survivors and 1 Killer then it's understandable as to why some killers camp. I'm guilty of it myself.

If they dont do something about cheating, players will just leave to games with better anticheats.
Agreed. This game brings out the worst in me in cases like this but only because the cheaters (when confronted) try to act like you are crazy and talk to you as if you were a child.

Could be a teleport hack:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4yEOBWdqyw
Run around a corner, teleport a short distance, done. This ties back to the already mentioned subtle hacking, if it's not super obvious that you're doing this then it's not really possible to get video evidence, which is required for them to get banned through a report. The other way for them to get banned is for EAC to detect that they are running whatever tool it is that they are using to do this.
🦆🦂
This looks exactly like what I have been going through. The survivor was even further away after turning a corner so that just confirmed my original thoughts.

I've been saying the same exact thing, it just happened to me as I was playing. The whole match will be over in like 3 minutes and the gates will open up quickly after. The whole match being that short is sus especially when one survivor always pops out for me to chase them.
The movement speed is rediculous on them, they just started chases with me and stand there if I don't chase them
I've never been anywhere near as fast with those same survivors
100% agree! You just described a number of my matches lately. And of course, if you have proof and try to accuse someone they just say, "You just need to get good." I'm also noticing a few survivors that are most definitely getting hit and should fall to the floor (2nd hit scream) and somehow they just keep going like nothing happened. I was told that it could be a glitch but it seems to be happening more frequently when I go against shady teams.

Yeah I had tons of those they basically run at a slightly higher speed and can be adjusted I think so you can never reach them but it doesn't look obvious so you'd think you're playing badly but it's not , had one recently ######### up a key and he ran way too fast.
Exactly! Two matches in a row like that last night. I just replaced my controller so it definitely isn't on my end. I'm starting to understand why some killers are just plain angry and face-camp. I try not to do that but last night... my mood was out the window. I don't care how skilled someone says they are, teams that do nothing but taunt the killer are really something else.

Smash Hit, but that only triggers on stunning the Killer with a pallet
🦆🦂
Thank you, I couldn't think of the name. Yeah the survivors in this case didn't have it. Dead Hard was the only semi-speed perk two of them had but they never used it since I couldn't hit them. I'm pretty sure they were cheating because I don't know many survivors brazen enough to surround a killer just to push them into walls, etc.

Absolutely (called subtle cheating).
Basically cheats that give you a SLIGHT edge but not enough to be blatantly noticable. Things like your run speed is 105% instead of 100% or you get boosts to repair or gate opening or healing or any number of things.
I do not believe this is possible on console but I have also been told that people cheating on PC can change their icon to whatever system they want so who knows how reliable that even is anymore.
They're a lot less likely to be reported (since you as the opponent might not even realize they're cheating, hence the name subtle cheating).
Even if you do report it, can you at a glance tell for certain that the survivor is running faster than they should or that gen that got done on the other side of the map wasn't just being worked on this entire time? BHVR seems to barely care about banning blatant in your face cheaters, yet alone someone who may or may not be cheating...
I'm noticing the speed thing more and more. They'll low-key keep distance between the two of you and after turning a corner, they'll just take off without leaving any scratch marks.

What I'm noticing is that survivors seem to speed-up when looping with a pallet (like I just can't get near some of them) and once they drop it, they take off. I know there is a perk which allows you to do something like that (I can't remember the name right now) but none of my recent encounters had it equipped. And I'll admit, I'm not the best killer but I know when something seems off during a match. Last month I caught two Meg's using Boil Over during the match but then on the end-game screen, they didn't have any perks equipped. I just don't understand the point.

Love this game but as I've been playing it getting better I noticed that survivors (and killers) have been doing some things that I KNOW is not allowing in the game
I played as Clown and... As soon as the last gen popped exit gates started going 3 seconds later
After that last gen popped it was like It INSTANTLY
I've noticed the same thing too. In addition to the exit opening extremely quickly, I'm noticing that gens are also popping far too quickly which is SUS because of my build. I run Doctor with The King/ Queen add-ons, Ruin, NOED, Lullaby, and Tinkerer. The Doc's special attack by itself should be causing delays but I'm finding gens popping all moments apart from each other lately. Yet whenever I play survivor, exits and gens seem to take forever unless I am the obsession.

Sorry, I'm new to this. I just thought it was interesting that players can now mess with the mechanics to use perks that aren't equipped at the time and then make it appear as though they don't have anything. That's pretty brazen.

Quick question did 3 of them use calm spirit because that can prevent you from screaming
Edit disregard this my brain skimmed over the answer and i had to read the post twice
No problem. The whole situation was very odd compared to my past experiences with cheaters. Usually, they'll do whatever they can to survive while annoying the Killer. In this case, it might be safe to say that they were new-ish in terms of their exploits. I've had that multiple-hit thing happen to me in the past and I just thought it might be a connection error on my end. I did have a similar experience two weeks ago where a survivor had Soul Guard and managed to escape during end game collapse. That situation was SUS because there weren't any active Hex Totems so I'm not sure how Soul Guard activated. Something was up because my hit connected and it was as if endurance was active (which shouldn't have been possible since his team was long gone.)

You also needed to record it, I know PlayStation and Xbox both have built in game recording, but if you're playing switch you may be out of luck.
Thankfully it was on PS4 so it might be possible. I even messaged one of the players because I wanted to see what was going on and they won't respond. Things like this just make me question how many times this has happened in the past.

The wiggle build came clutch haha
LOL it's become my favorite build. Most killers don't expect someone to run PS. Sometimes it's a toss between PS or an auto-revive perk because some killers will just leave you after you've wiggled out so many times.
-
I filed an in-game report but I was told that it likely won't result in anything on console. I'm more concerned that they were able to "mask" their perks from view and I'm wondering how common that is.
-
Didn't record it (and I totally wish that I did!) I was the sole survivor against an Oni yesterday. My build: Tenacity, Boil Over, Power Struggle, and Flip-Flop. Everyone was slugged and then hooked one by one. Killer had Iron Grasp so I knew that I needed to get to a pallet ASAP! After everyone else was dead, it was my turn. Killer picked me up and because of Flip-Flop, PS activated immediately. I jumped the pallet and to my surprise, hatch spawned right in front of me. Poor Oni stood there shaking his head... and I was shocked beyond belief.
