If they zeroed in on you, you're doing something wrong. Try it next time. Don't do gens with other survivors when you're against a legion. When you see the mend status pop up, go somewhere else. Frenzy lasts ten seconds. Each time you see mend pop up count down from ten. If the legion comes to you with say- five seconds in their power then you can pallet stun them cuz they don't have time to respect. You supposedly play killer, yes? So you know how to count down BT and DS. Same thing. Legion is the same as always in this respect. Nothing about avoiding their power has changed.
I mean I'll give it a try. Maybe my MMR is just really high and that's why my matches are like this tonight. He was definitely buffed because I've never seen a Legion successfully hit all of the survivors in a match.

Legion is far from OP. Spread out and split up, don’t stay in groups against them and in most cases don’t bother healing. Unless you have to in order to go for a save, it’s usually not worth it.
If you get hit by frenzy, don’t finish mending until his frenzy is over. If you do they will be able to get killer instinct on you again and that will make it easier for them to get the 5 hits to down someone.
Usually, I can get away after the first hit. They seem to be obsessed with hitting all of the survivors before powering down. Right now I'm just taking keys into each match because people aren't even doing gens.

Out of curiosity, how many of those matches were on Haddonfield?
When something is new or gets reworked, then of course people will want to try it. I guarantee you that by tomorrow you'll see the normal rotation/variety.
Pretty much every match was on Haddonfield. One was in Badham.

...... Leave. Just leave. If you see someone get hit with mend, just leave. If you split up legion doesn't have a power. The counterplay is just. So. Simple. Do that.
Well I'd like to except that somehow pretty much every Legion tonight managed to keep finding me, even after running. The heartbeat radius just keeps going. I'd rather go against my camping Bubba. Whats the point if you can't even hide from a Killer?
-
And this is why I'm a Basement Bubba. Why would anyone even want to stay in a game with Legion at this point? You're visible in lockers and under Shadow Step. That is the definition of OP.

You basically have to literally hold W...While pointing your camera as close to the wall you're hugging as you can so it keeps moving you forward...You'll sort of see your character lean, but still continue to move forward. Hugging it and traveling the shortest distance possible.
Haha I'm a PSN user. I have the analog sticks and R1. I know things can be more difficult on console (like not healing too close to a pallet) but looping shouldn't be as much of a problem.
-
@Purgatorian said:
I'm like this as well. People can loop me around the same loop about 4 times, more if there are windows. I try it and only can manage 1 loop, without windows, before the killer gets a hit.
If I try to hug the loops tightly, I always seem to get stuck on the corners. I know myself most are playing efficiently and not cheating but their 4 loops to my 1, and having no idea how they do it, makes me feel as though I will never get better.
Exactly the same with me. I've been playing for over two years and I just can't loop effectively like I have seen others do.
-
@BrokenSouI said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/320731/looping-question
Hacking aside. No. There is no perk like that. Short of them 99ing their sprint burst, dead harding for distance, etc etc.
It's probably more of a perception thing. When playing killer. It can seem like it takes forever to catch up to them. While playing survivor. It feels like the killer catches up so much faster.
There are little differences. Like survivor hit boxes are different then killers. So they can hug corners tighter
I'll try experimenting with hugging walls a bit more.

MMR is busted. I get muppet teammates, paired with muppet killers.
You just described my last week of random matches. Nobody is touching gens, nobody is healing/unhooking, nobody is touching totems... it's mind-boggling. I've been taking keys into each match because I refuse to keep dying on the first hook when I'm trying to be a good teammate. It doesn't help that one person always decides to DC after being downed once.
-
@sizzlingmario4 said:
It’s hard to say whether someone is cheating or not without a video.
If we ignore that possibility, then there’s no perk that specifically affects corner-turning, but maybe you aren’t hugging walls as tightly as possible or something. If you could post a video example that might be helpful.
Yeah I'll do that and try to make another post at some point. I'm not the best player on either side but the only advantage I'm aware of is with PC players and being able to swiftly do a 360 maneuver. Still, that shouldn't have anything to do with looping obstacles.
-
So far I have only found two totems on this map. I'd like to explore but most Killers are just business as usual. "Let's get down to business!"
-
7 out of my 10 matches today were Legions. As much as I enjoy the new music... the same Killer over and over is just annoying.
-
Trickster definitely has some gay vibes. Ace Visconti has gaydar going off in my head.

Watch the original Texas chainsaw massacre.
Spoilers... he gets three kills in the shack that he never leaves then one more from a chase and the last gets away.
Leatherface is on exactly on theme, the original TCM is basically a template for a game of DBD.
I appreciate him for that and I hope they never change him.
I'm laughing because it sounds like Survivor-Mains are complaining simply because Bubba isn't as easy to bully especially with the right build. I only became a Bubba Main a few weeks ago because I got so tired of the group body-blocking and outright harassment. They're upset because it's harder for all of the Survivors to converge and block Bubba from securing even one kill. I've gotten so many nasty messages from so-called "skilled" survivors about downing 2-3 at once just for trying to unhook. To prove it's just about entitlement and having something to complain about, these same survivors also complain about my using Lightborn. Why? Because they can't abuse me with constant blinding.

LOL I love it when I get an, "EZ" or "Get Good" message after a game. In some cases, it was a bully squad that clearly had speed cheats going for them. Sometimes the cheating is blatantly obvious and at other times it isn't. I was camping yesterday in Ormond and had a Survivor hooked on a hill. Now it's possible that the other three Survivors snuck by me but very unlikely. I turned around and all three healthy Survivors were blocking the hook and they all managed to escape. I turned for maybe two seconds but there weren't any scratch marks indicating that anyone passed by me... very SUS.

I have 800 GB free space. Should I just uninstall and reinstall the game?
Personally, I wouldn't uninstall anything unless it's something that I don't use. That would just waste additional time as it would take even longer to download again. Try shutting down, wait a few minutes, and then turn it on again.

Absolutely nothing, unless your intent behind the tunneling was homophobia, and they can prove your intent was homophobia, across multiple games. The exact same as the pride charm. Stop making this argument because it does not work.
Again, bi dude here (I'm tired of starting my quotes like this because it's irrelevant). It's very difficult to prove homophobia unless you have voice audio or actual messages.
For example, I was accused of harassing and bullying two people last week on PSN when I shut off cross-play. I was playing Insidious Bubba and I camped both of them. Now, when you turn off cross-play, you are more likely to get matched with the same players over and over... I don't pay any mind to user names so I failed to notice that I went against the same two people for 2-3 matches in a row. Their claim was that I was purposely trying to bully and ruin their experience. I even inboxed them saying that I didn't notice their names and even apologized. Both of them went on a tirade and tried to get me banned. At the end of the day, they couldn't prove anything because I was camping everyone and once again, bullying was not my intent. You can't just accuse someone of being homophobic without actual proof because it downplays the seriousness of real homophobia. Maybe you just got tunneled. I mean really... do you think a Killer chasing you in real life is going to care about chasing after you and giving you a break? The Killer has no obligation to stop chasing you in-game just because you don't want to be chased.

As explained this update is big purely due to an engine update, there is no way around engine updates being smaller I'm afraid.
however, it is taking a lot less room on disk now than previously.
Yeah I read something about that last night. I guess it's expected.

This is not how it works and it is a really stupid take.
This is the same stuff that game up when the Pride-Charm was introduced. "Now Survivors will get Killers banned because they claim they were tunneled for being LGBTQ+!!!"...
And this did not happen. If a David claims that you tunneled them because he is a Gay-Character, you will be fine. If you say you tunneled them because they are a F-Word, you are not fine.
Some survivors will complain no matter what. Again, I'm a bi dude. Some people just don't like getting outplayed and get snippy the second you down them even once. Some even DC from the match because *Rage Quit*

Mine updated on steam but will not update on my series x. It keeps force closing the game and saying the update can't be reached. I've never seen that message before.
Interesting. I'm not too familiar with other platforms. I know some updates on PSN won't occur if you don't have enough space free.

Yeah the restart wouldn't trigger the update. Only after I did a full shut down. Thank you for letting me know.

Yeah, me too. Although ... I'm actually conflicted
I heard some killers (especially nurses) are unstoppable on the new haddonfield map.
And I really don't feel like playing only Haddonfield against nurses in the next few weeks. xD
The fact that I don't have friends for swf makes the whole thing even worse, because in solo queue you lose 99% of all matches anyway.
Maybe the killer gameplay will be a little more fun with the new hemorrhage buffs, then I'll probably only play killer.
Although... the cheaters.... .... and again ... sigh :D
My PSN is xRaverLord89x. I'm always looking for reliable teams.

Hey feel free to add me! I'm a 50/50 Survivor/Killer and I'm done with random matches for awhile. It's true, most of those matches are a lost cause. I made a topic about this a few days ago. I'm the only one doing, gens, totems, unhooking, healing and nobody else does anything. I died on first hook multiple times while watching the auras of randoms just standing or walking around.

Something needs to be done about survivors ability to dead hard.
I don't have an issue with Dead Hard as much as I do with Survivors that have this SUS ability to very quickly loop around corners repeatedly. Some of them seemingly "disappear" after doing so or they continue to loop at insane speeds. The reason I say SUS is because I've tried the same exact play numerous times and it doesn't seem possible to me.

As a bi dude I feel the same way. I get super gay vibes from Ace but really... if it comes naturally then that's fine. Adding that to the lore this late is just sloppy.
-
I'm a Basement Bubba (Insidious). He doesn't need a rework. It's 4 Survivors against 1 Killer and Survivors have the use of headsets to communicate. Killers are on their own. I don't like getting face-camped but it's still a strategy and I do it as a Killer. I became a Bubba Main because of the insane amount of body blocking and bullying that I was encountering. Teams have a harder time doing that with Bubba and it's a nice change of pace. Here's some advice, don't taunt the Killer (teabagging, body-blocking, getting in their face and motioning for them to chase you, repeatedly clicking your flashlight at them). That's how you get camped.
-
I'm getting a lot of people from China and South America. Sometimes I'll need to use Google Translate to figure out if they were being cordial or rude in the endgame.

And so it shall be. Michael's gon give it to ya!
-
Nice! I can't wait to just have Michael stand at the window just for laughs.
-
Two words: Insidious Bubba.
-
I mean I never thought that I would like playing as Bubba... but I absolutely love it! Insidious Bubba = Pissed off SWF's and toxic survivors. Insidious Basement Bubba is extremely satisfying! Watching everyone swarm the basement.... never to leave again. Cue the nasty aftergame messages!
-
So the reworked Haddonfield is being released tomorrow?
-
As an Insidious Bubba, I say leave him alone. It's still 4 Survivors against 1 Killer. I'd be for changes but only if the following conditions are met: 2 Killers, 6 Survivors, 8-10 Generators, and Map expansions. Again, it's 4 against 1 and the chainsaw evens the odds against toxic SWF's.
-
It happens to me too. But when I play Killer, sometimes all you can find are one or two survivors. Sometimes I'll tunnel for the entire match just for the 1k simply because that one Survivor keeps shadowing me and then later, egging me to chase them. I mean... Bubba can take care of groups really well.
-
I'd be cool with 2 Killers, 6 Survivors, and 10 Generators. Maps would need to be expanded though.

I´m not sure how the devs would fix bad teammates.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2921088#Comment_2921088
Because bad teammates seem to be the main issue here.
Yeah. My main question was regarding how matches are set up. Why would I keep getting matched with players like this repeatedly?
-
Bubba needs to be left alone. I'm not a fan of being camped but guess what, it happens. I have an all new respect for Bubba because a lot of cheeky survivors (mostly SWF's) enjoy the art of "Team Body Blocking." This is essentially when they surround a Killer and prevent them from moving or they can physically force you into a wall. Leave Bubba alone and stop annoying Killers. Do your gens. Antagonize the Killer with your "Click Click Click" and teabagging and guess what, you'll get face-camped just on principle. I'll take the 1k.
-
The most annoying thing that I've encountered lately is going to cover my teammates and then after taking the hook, I see their auras scattered and I end up dying on 1st hook because nobody bothers to come near me. When it's back-to-back matches with the same issues, that's enough to make you quit playing. Yet I find it hilarious that when I play Killer, almost all of the teams find a way to cooperate (not always the case).
