Your honestly come off as a person blaming the game, because you yourself made a mistake.
yes I made a mistake by not vaulting, but doesn't change the fact I was totally in cover and still got hit when I really shouldn't have

I genuinely do not believe the whole "devs hate killers" but if anything would tip me over it would be cool downs on scourge hooks.
they wouldn't dare

Absolutely agree on Pain: Resonance. Even with the 4-hook limit and possibly having shaky RNG for the location of the hooks, it's become a staple of every killer I play I've unlocked it on. It's superior to PGTW, even with slightly less initial regression -- it's instantaneous (no running across the map to kick a gen that might get finished before you get there), it's tracking info when someone's working on the gen, it targets the gen that needs to be regressed the most, and it regresses it when no one is actually working on it. And if you still want to take the risk and run Ruin, the perk still will hit a gen for the 15% anyway,
Deadlock and No Way Out I've seen in a lot of builds as well now, and both are powerful in their own right.
I think Hex: Plaything is underrated as well, even in the current Boon meta. It can't be broken or cleansed until it's active, and then only by the person it affects initially. I've been running it on my Pig build, and the number of times I've run into survivors who were crossing the map to search a Jigsaw box or who were headed to a gen and who had no idea they were running into me has been amazing. Even on a killer you expect to be stealthy, it's gotten me a ridiculous number of downs on Oblivious survivors.
Pain resonance stacks well with pop because that 15% can save you the gen getting done and if you arrive before they recover the 15% you can then pop it and remove a total 40% very quickly wasting lots of their time, and if you manage to get another one you can do this process again, since there's no cooldown (thank the entity) you can constantly if you are in a good situation always remove 40% very quickly.
deadlock is great too not gonna lie, personally I have no interest in plaything, doing totems build aren't my thing but I can assume doing a totem build with it can be decent.
-
pain resonance is simply the best perk since a very long time, it's way too good to ignore

I mean, I'm not condoning this guy's behavior at all and I hope you reported them, but it seems pretty clear they were pissed that you stopped them from killing themselves and chose to grief for the rest of the match to express that.
Again: that's supremely douchey and I despise players like that. But, just saying... if they happened to be on the forums, which they most likely are not, and saw you were this angry about how the match ended... they'd be pleased, because that was what they were trying to do.
Don't feed the trolls.

Grades mean nothing.
An ash 4 can be a better player than an iri 1. Grades just shows how much they may of played that month and still doesnt do a great job of that.
Please remember grades and MMR are separate.
please remember that If I am iri adn they are ash 4 and only have 2 perks they are most likely pretty new to the game, just common sense

@StarLost said:
The issue isn't the MMR system.
As things stand, at certain points in the day survivor queues can be so long that it results in bonkers matchups for both sides. Hell, 4 minutes is nothing - I've finished an entire episode of Bob's Burgers while waiting one morning.
The problem is that there aren't enough killer players to fill the role.
whenever I play killer I wait less than 10 seconds, every killer quits.

First of all, use some periods or some indentations literally anywhere, my eyes glaze over trying to read that wall of text with zero punctuation.
Secondly, long range shots are still very much possible. In maps with lots of trees, you can use those to your advantage, walk up to a tree, aim AdS and then emerge from the side. If you have a decent idea of where the survivor is running to, chances are you can land that hit. And if you don't think you'll be able to reel in a survivor in time before they break free, then just don't fire. Sometimes threatening to shoot is a better move than actually shooting because survivors start running side to side like headless chickens and it inevitable slows their progress. This kinda thing reinforces that his playstyle has just become a bit more strategic.
As for the ability to get damage states, it makes sense that he wouldn't be able to do the quite as reliably as huntress, or even trickster. What sets Deathslinger apart from them is that he doesn't have to reload at a locker. He can reload anytime, keep moving and not break the flow of the chase.
And if he isn't as good with M&A anymore, then just use different perks. I have found a great deal of success using Hex: Plaything on him, since survivor's wont be able to hear your terror radius AT all, as opposed to M&A where they hear it a few seconds later. Alternatively you could run Trail of Torment or Dark Devotion, both of which can remove your TR entirely for a decent period of time. And since he has no lullaby, he benefits from these perks better than huntress does.
He still has plenty good going for him, you just need to learn a new playstyle.
fixed, and glad for you if you think so and you enjoy deathslinger, but for the big majority, we all hate him now and we'd love to have him back, like I said, I kindly disagree with you.

Lets say your team gets stomped on, youre the last survivor and you dont find the hatch. if that happens you can just sit at an exit gate and get out before the killer can even guess which gate youre at. i dont like perks that can single-handedly win you the game, thats just wrong
not like it doesn't happen already, if the hatch is on the other side of the doors and the survivor waits there, they can get out, yes it sucks but it still happens.
then DH and unbreakable should be changed then, since you hate perks that can make you win the game just for having it.
-
The fact insta scope is gone means doing long range shots is way harder than it should be because it gives way more time for survivors to react to the shot and makes it way easier to avoid, not because it was insta it means a clean hit, deathslinger still has to bring the survivor to him to be able to land a hit and if there's some walls or else in the way either stopping the survivor from getting closer or breaking the chain too soon it means the survivor cannot go into the dying state.
he was strong at windows loops and still can be but he requires more planning than he should since his strength was to quickly aim and shot at the survivor without giving them much time to reach, huntress gives a sound/animation warning that she's gonna throw a hatchet and if it hits it's a health state 100%, deathslinger it isn't a 100%, he cannot shot 3 times in 6 seconds and do 3 health state like huntress can in 6 seconds, he needs the speed to end chase fast enough since his range is limited compared to huntress which can apply pressure from across the map, her windup is more forgiving than slinger is because if even if he lands the shot it doesn't mean a clean hit everytime while for huntress if it land it does.
giving him 32 meter terror radius is way more harmful to him because he is still a 110 killer, when he was with 24 with M&A he could get close enough to get a quick first hit and be able to shot and then down the survivor, it was part of his strength which was making him more decent, now this part is removed unless you use M&A with aim add-ons, all his base kit have been totally nerfed when all his base kit was his best strength, all his strength has been removed, he can still shot at close/short loops so it's no big deal, but doing a quick shot when you have just a few frames to be able to land a shot is gone, all his speed his gone and semi stealth is gone, he is in a very terrible shape now because he has nothing good about him anymore.
110 32 meters radius, can't make quick shots, long range can be harder since there's more reaction time for survivors, he is simply way weaker, this is all they did to him, a decent killer which was great in good hands is now a real pathetic mess of a killer, a very weak one for no real reason, was aiming and canceling endlessly stupid? yes of course, but it was still something that was into his favor and only on his, all he had in his favor is gone.

If you want to play a killer who has to charge up before they fire their range weapon, you can play huntress.
There was no reason to remove an unique aspect of his power.

@Chordyceps said:
I'm a killer main here, and I think that the ADS speed nerf was really needed in terms of game balance. People are really just upset they can't instascope anymore. He's still a powerful killer though, you just need to play differently than you did before, more strategically. There's actual strategy to be had now in pre-aiming around corners and using LoS blockers to your advantage, and in that regard I think Slinger actually became more satisfying to get good with. He's also very fun to use stealth builds with. Since he doesn't have a super noticable lullabys like huntress, a slinger that is undetectable can actually be pretty terrifying.
I kindly 100% absolutely disagree

Keep in mind it is stackable with Spine Chill, Resilience, and Leader. So you could have a gate open in like, what, five seconds? Doesn't need to be above 33%, that would still allow it to be opened even solo in most circumstances.
no one will use it if it's 33%, it will stay forgotten
-
@Mazoobi said:
And give it more effects too!
Not too sure since I forgot this was a perk, but how about your aura being hidden while opening a gate and/or the gate noises being muffled only to the killer?
Anything to make it more viable would be good. I love seeing underwhelming perks get more power.
could be reworked, the more gens are done the more you are waking up and so the better you perform? like the survivor version of fire up? the more gens are done the faster your actions are? like 2/2.5/3% faster actions speed for each tokens, and that includes every single survivor actions but running/walking of course, cleansing, opening gates, healing, vaulting etc etc.
-
@GoshJosh said:
33% would be ideal. 100% is ridiculous.
how so? survivor is 3 perk the whole match and still need to be able to open the exit themselve, and that's if a teammate isn't already opening it, extremely situational,
-
@Mooks said:
Maybe not 100% but definitely more than what it currently does. Also giving it to a nearby mate or at least give that mate the info that you have the perk would be great.
while at it, also bring Pharmacy to a usable level. It’s completely outshined by CoH, inner strength, even self care or just equipping any medkit…
so many perks need big buffs, like they aren't totally useless but they give not enough to be worth a perk slot

@Aven_Fallen said:
Yep, Solo Queue is the most frustrating experience. It is also harder for Survivors to increase their SBMM, so you will be stuck with the people you play with. If I need to escape but am not able to because I play with 3 Bots, I will not get better players as my teammates. And escaping is the team effort, pipping is the Solo effort.
A few weeks ago I had a game where I did 3,5 Gens on my own. First a Gen with another Survivor and then 3 Gens while the others did not do much except for that one Gen which was left. So while I did 3 Gens on my own, the other 3 managed to get one Gen done. And guess who was the idiot who died to NOED?
It was me. Obviously. And I could have done nothing to prevent it, because if I would not have done those Gens, nobody would have done them. Yay.
(I dont mind dying or not escaping, but I mind dying due to a cheap Perk without any chance for me to prevent it, mostly due to incompetent teammates)
feels bad for you :( your team's fault that you got noeded
-
@tennmio said:
I play solo mostly if I play survivor. I know how it feels. From talking to these people I believe they're just in the wrong game. They seem to think that stealthing around and getting the hatch is a good way to play. Some even believe they're good at the game.
All we can do is hope for killer players to punish that playstyle and hope they don't get the hatch as a reward for their antimate behaviour.
I cannot understand how they think, she obviously could see I was getting chased since I was the obssession, so why would she walk around doing nothing? staying hidden while the killer is on someone else doing all the looping sounds boring AF, I don't understand

Yep, this is why I have never understood the whole "SoloQ sucks because they dont have comms like SWF"
It's more like "SoloQ sucks because they aren't reliable players like SWF".
fact, she never went for Leon, why? she didn't do a single gen during the 3-5 minutes I looped wraith, why? she hides in the locker the whole time I am on the hook why? that's why it sucks.
-
@Johnny_XMan said:
Do you think they would have done better if they had had comms for you to remind them that in order to be efficient you have to do gens? :( (( 😂

Thanks for confirming. It's literally every match. Played around 20 today and I feel bad hooking everyone after a DC but it's the survivors fault for leaving their team.
I understand how you feel, but you are better finishing the match fast if you can, if they resist you still have something of a real match, if they truly didn't gave up, avoid tunneling as muhc as you can so you keep a "real match" experience
