Not a straight buff. Probably another trade-off that they consider a buff that actually weakens him.

Doing the objective isn't toxic. If survivors do gens fast it's either on you or game design. For instance on redforest with no mobility it's not uncommon that 3 gens pop after your first chase. It's a big map. However if you commit to a chase for 2-3 gens worth and finally down someone don't get mad when they did gens. They did the ONLY thing they can do in that situation.

For survivors, I don't think a lot of you realize the difference between tunneling just to tunnel and tunneling when it makes sense. If I get dsd by you (sometimes even when I made an effort not to tunnel) I'll leave. But if I find you again your getting chased and killed. You were tunneled because I found you again. If I found another survivor I would have chased them. If I slug you and give you time for someone to pick you up and no one does that's not tunneling especially if I hook an entire other person. As for camping sometimes that is on you. Ive seen it so many times where there's 2 people near hook and the killer keeps looking for them then finds one gets a down and then hits the person off hook. He didn't camp the person intentionally you have him no reason to leave. You played badly he capitalized. Watch your games more closely and you'll realize just how outlandish some of your guy's expectations are.

Overall I find this well thought out and I agree. Balance is more the issue than people being toxic on purpose. Granted there are swfs that run ds,dh,ub, etc as a group just to grief and there are killer players that camp and tunnel (real tunnel) just to be toxic but that's the freedom the game affords. Most issues considered toxic are a matter of map bias and swf not being considered in balancing.

One issue I see is that killers get grilled way more often and ruthlessly for perceived toxicity any time they 3 or 4k. It seems they always find a way to call killer trash for winning.

Playing a few games at red ranks has reminded me how overpowered killers can be. Doctor and overpowered Bubba with his 1-shot that lasts forever. Before I reached the third game, it was a slugging overpowered Huntress of course. You can’t play long without seeing Huntress because she is so overpowered with an unfair advantage. At one point, one was on the hook, another was slugged, I tried to make a save before they reached death stage and she played proxy camp and got me before I could make the save. 4 gens was still up and survivors are helpless.

Killers moan about that one loss, but there is no question 4K happens too much. A coordinated SWF is the only possible way to somewhat slowdown killrushers. But most SWF don’t win either. Killers have been buffed too much and survivors nerfed too much. Way too many tracking and gen perks making it too easy for killers.

A mid-chapter buffing survivors and survivor perks like they gave tinkerer would be a refreshing change. Where is the survivor’s NOED? It doesn’t exist. Constantly nerfing survivors and buffing killers is making the game unfun.

It needs to be looked into how much killers win.

It's getting bad when I can tell this is a sluzzy bait by just the title.

Jason is nothing but a buff man with a mask and workerman's clothing, which is what Trapper already has. And you already have Trapper cosmetics that look similar to Jason's, such as H20's mask. Will they look exactly the same? No, and I never said that either. But not distinct enough for me to think Jason is worth adding. I think it's really dubious to say they look nothing alike.

I also have no idea why you lot keep bringing up powers. I never said anything about powers. Why are you guys being heavily dishonest when responding to me and bringing up points I never mentioned? I never commented about what Jason's powers would be. I don't care

You lot are either trolling or being dense on purpose

H20 was a Halloween sequel. No Jason involved.

And? My initial point was that I don't see the point in having two killers who look similar. I never commented about powers, and even the comparison between Billy and Leatherface's powers is moot; their powers work entirely differently and they only have a chainsaw in common. What's next, Legion and Myers are similar because they use knives?

Leatherface and Billy do not look similar. I never commented on Billy's inspiration.

Why are people trying to respond with irrelevant information?

I will reiterate my point: I think it will be redundant to add Jason considering Trapper already looks like him.

Killer is played in 1st person... Why are looking similar even brought up? All killers look similar from killer perspective.

  • I love those karmic moments! Bravo!

While I completely understand your reasoning and I commend your ability to put your thoughts into words very well, I have to say I am not thrilled at the concept of having to mess with things like DPI/Macros and so on just so unlock a higher skill ceiling on a particular killer. I think of this as the same thing some people do with Spirit where they use really stupid things like Spacial sound (Which makes the game sound horrible) or presumably other ways of manipulating their sound for an advantage. (And this isn't explicity killers who do this, survivors have had a laundry list of similiar things like stretched res and so on)

I think it's unfair and quite an unhealthy thing to have.

It's not the same as say - rebinding the move left/move right command to Q/E for certain killers like Billy, Oni and even Blight because that's really simple and isn't intrusive.

    ^^^^^ this EXACTLY!

If having an advanced mouse with more range settings gives you the ability to do things someone using a joystick can't accomplish eventually with just talent, it's an exploit.

Well, I had more than a situation where this happened and the survivor was running around me with a key and didn't escape, and I don't think they died on purpose

I've had this situation in a kyf just to see if I could block a key the same as blocking the hatch... It didn't work. If I stood center they could use it from any side, if I stood closer to any side that was a the only side they couldn't use.

  • No, they can. They can't jump in it if it's open but they can use a key to open it no matter where you stand.

  • If they're healthy you can't do anything.

If they have a key during an open hatch stand off, you can only win if they're injured and even then it's hard. Shut the hatch and spam m1, hope you hit them before you give space for them to use their key.

But honestly if 3 are dead 1 is healthy, finds the hatch AND has a key just let em go knowing there wasn't anything you could do.

Edit: But CLOSE THE HATCH regardless, that way they don't keep the key for free.

For the past few days, i keep getting put with try-hard survivors who sometimes aren't even SWF. They are getting things done so fast and it feels like my Thandataphobia isn't cutting it as much as it used to.

I was thinking of changing it back to Ruin, but after two matches with it, it kept getting broke within two minutes. I think it would massively help in Thandats place, but its just an empty perk slot once its gone. I know most of you would say use Undying, but my other slots have been taken with perks i need

Any advice? Should i use Ruin or stick with Thandat?

If it's all been early game gen rush use corrupt intervention. It only works for 2 mins but actually slows things a lot because they have to search for unblocked gens.

    NOED I can understand, but...

Who dafuq complains about DRAGON'S GRIP of all perks ??

I personally just stopped reading as soon as I saw who posted it.

Every thread started by this OP is a "Killer needs nerfed" topic. I think they think this is a single player game and they want "beginner difficulty" mode.

  • @Sluzzy said:

It is much more common for killers to put everyone on their bellies before even the 1st gen is done. Killers already have a lot of advantage with perks like Corrupted Intervention, Whispers for finding the first gen being worked on, and discordance. Then BBQ finds the next one instantly. Killers have it in their advantage too much already.

    Hah! As always you're silly.

Either you are a hell of a troll, or have never played killer. All your comments are from some some distant reverse reality.

What happened was three survivors were working on a gen across the map, where there were gen after gen close together. One popped before I got over there. Saw one person run away. Starts stalking. Another gen popped then another. The 3 of them just went from gen to gen and got it done super quick. I know that’s not technically a gen rush but with how quick it happened it sure felt like it.

Are you sure that's what was happening? Maybe 2 on a gen (one with prove thyself) and 2 on 2 gens and you started chasing one of the 2 on the first gen.

A second survivor on a gen doesn't double the speed (nearly with prove thyself), and a third person barely speeds it up at all. When gens pop early and rapidly it's usually people spread out to solo gens.

People right now are receiving a error message that says "Connection with host could not be established." It's in relation to that. This is being looked into right now.

    Awesome. Thank you.

Hey, there are issues with the MM, it's being looked at right now! I'm sorry for the inconvience.

Is this related to match error preventing matches?

  • Same issue. Ps4.

Just started today for me. As soon as I hit the ready button it says "Error could not connect to host. Try again". I can't even start a match.

That’s what I have been trying to say this entire post but people don’t care cause I still listen to it.

They refuse to acknowledge the delay logic because it's one more thing they can call you trash for doing instead of admitting or even realizing they made bad plays... That's why it's an ever-changing list if killer rules. Survivors just change acceptable win conditions instead of getting better.

  • @kyogul said:

No what you did wasn't fair since you intentionally left it up and could hear everything they were saying. Doesn't matter if you couldn't see, you still had access to information you otherwise wouldn't have had because you sniped their stream.

It doesn't even matter if you won either

It sounds like he was listening for entertainment value. On that note... If they're such a sweaty swf that their commentary is more coordinated than entertaining, then they shouldn't add .ttv to their name. Stream sniping isn't really lucrative due to delay unless you're against a super sweaty call-out every move team. If you are, then THEY made a mistake by announcing that they're live streaming via their name to the killer.

I am of two minds on this.

One one hand, folks are kinda taking it off topic with memes and it borders the line of bullying the person....

.......on the other hand OP is straight up insulting and passively aggressively attacking people just for playing a killer and with a nonsense reason behind it at that. (And no intention of actually discussing or hearing anyone's opinion but their own making the thread pointless anyways)

Moderation can be tough, that's all I am saying about that lol.

Lots of people don't understand that a forum Is a conversation, not an echo chamber.

  • That's how I remember it... Idk where we started trailing off on huntress. So... Ribeye is good.

  • I regularly get beat as huntress. I play her because she's fun sometimes. I've never felt like I was winging refrigerators at people! It's a latency thing. Sometimes misses hit by a margin but sometimes sure hits miss too.

  • @Sluzzy said:

Playing 3 games already this morning and it was Huntress every game, I'm already done. I'm going to eat my cereal and leave the rest to endure that. It's pretty clear Huntress is a crutch killer as much as it is spammed constantly. When something is used that much, it means there is a problem. Hatchets that are unavoidable and uncounterable, killers crutch on things that have no counterplay to gain a massive unfair advantage. But lets make it a huge priority to nerf a fair survivor perk again and leave Huntress in her busted state. Too many hatchets to make up for mistakes with almost no cooldown, mammoth hitboxes that are too forgiving and gigantic, a lullaby that is non-directional. Broken.

Yup... Unbeatable. Almost as op as Trapper, Myers and Plague. All OP crutch killers!!!! 😉😂

  • Aye, I agree. My salt mine feels pretty insufficient on ps4 as well.

That's so unbelievably mean to the first one through the gate

I do it for shock value. See if I can down 2 or even 3 depending on how they react. But I usually just let them crawl out. Or I'll pick 1 up and head for a hook... Then back to the gate to let them wiggle off.

  • @aTerribleSurvivor said:

So I've been messing around as nurse just having fun. Any perk suggestions that are fun to mess with people with? Not looking to win, just mess with people.

What killers do you play right now?

  • Killer: Pig. The extra slowdown from RBT is super valuable.

    Killer perk: Dragons Grip

    Survivor Perk: aftercare

  • Adrenaline sucks too. Chase somebody, nearly down them to suddenly have them heal and get an extended speed burst.

My posts tend to be short so don't expect many details. Just be good at chases and play smart, if you do that survivors won't be able to finish 5 gens in 3 minutes.

They are short but the real trick is how manage cram such little thought into them. It's as if you say the first inflammatory thing to reach you.

    Brilliant. A wordsmith.

  • @Anathema said:

If you're playing Spirit against me then congratulations - you can have the game.

I actually can't fathom what they were thinking with this killer. Can phase so regularly, pop out of thin air, has no hard counter and to top it all off - the skill threshold is incredibly low.

I'm not entertaining Spirit games any more. Any time I see a Spirit I'm refusing to play.

You should address this to all of your survivor team mates... I think they'll be more effected by your hissy fit than the person playing spirit 3v1.

As I stated in the post, his addons were crutches. They are now fixed. Granted, I agree some of them are near useless but that doesnt change the fact that at base, hes still A tier easily. And again, in the post i stated that the heat is a laughable mechanic for anyone with competence. No one whos any good at all will ever overheat.

"His add-ons are fixed now, granted some are near useless" 🤨

Most of his add-ons are actually so situational that they are funny or even detrimental to his gameplay.

Chainsaw cools faster when hit with a flashlight, chainsaw charges slightly faster after being stunned with a pallet, gain undetectable after landing a chainsaw down, and my favorite, a very rare that slightly increases charge speed but nerfs chase speed🤪.

I've stopped using him because I can go through a full million bp on him and end up with maybe 10 to 15 usable add-ons.

  • 110 is to compensate for distance of ranged attacks.

  • @TAG said:

The difference is that Huntress/DS only need one shot to injure someone. Trickster needs EIGHT. Also, Pyramid Head.

PH is not long range and you can dodge plague vomit if you're farther than 10 meters bc it's SO SLOW.

  • I see it as well. That's why I never let go in solo unless it's an instadown killer and people are going to get downed to try and save me.

If we spread this message to as many solo survivors as possible, more campers get punished and either sink or swim...

  • The killer is punished in situation 2.

If the camped survivor recognizes it's camping and they prolong the sacrifice as long as possible. The other 3 can do 4 gens in that time. Eventually that killer learns or you outrank that killer. Rinse and repeat.

  • It kinda is... If I have 200 hrs with Oni I think I'd have a higher "win ratio" than my wraith with less than 8 hrs.

Also I wasn't emplying that they ANNOUNCED mmr was on. It DOES absolutely feel like mmr. If you didn't notice you're definitely in the minority of seasoned players.

    Maybe mmr is active

  • Tldr for title.

    ...yes. for survey.

  • Do you struggle vs doctor regularly?

Are you fairly new to dbd?

He does feel very OP and oppressive when you're new. But there are lots of little counters to doctor.

Coal Tower should at least be B. Some totems spawn in corners there.

    Pretty solid list though.

My issues with the coal tower is that several spawn locations are shared with survivor spawn locations. I always lose a totem before I can cross the map.

  • @[Deleted User] said:
