Iron Will does counter Cherry Blossom. You can't get close to a survivor if you can't hear them.

You can still get close to them phasing since you move much faster especially with Mother Daughter Ring which Dried Cherry Blossom is almost always paired with.

You still need to have some semblance of tracking and prediction skills but DCB negates a lot of the possible mind gaming you can pull against a Spirit. For example trying to move towards her while she's phasing will trigger killer instinct and they'll just come right out of it and hit you.

  • If you want easy mode on Spirit just use Dried Cherry Blossom. It's arguably even better than old Stridor on her and Iron Will doesn't counter it.

Old Stridor did not need to exist and honestly its current form is pointless. It needs a rework of some kind but certainly not a revert.

  • Can we kill switch her again please bhvr ๐Ÿ˜ญ

  • The only change I'd make to Alert is make it reveal the killers aura when they close the Hatch and or snuff out Boon totems because both of those look like/basically are break actions.

Tinkerer and Blight, name a more iconic duo! Why not shift the meta bit and allow technician to nullify such an annoying combination. We already have perks like Spine Chill that completely counter a killer's power so I don't see how one perk nullifying an annoying play-style can be much worse.

Personally I think the only change Technician needs is to lose that extra chunk of regression penalty for missing a skill check with it.

Bite The Bullet which is LITERALLY the same thing but for healing skill checks doesn't slap you with a bonus chunk of regression, in fact it reduces the penalty from missing said skill checks. Please BHVR update Technician to this standard ๐Ÿ˜ญ

What should be a nice perk for helping beginner survivors causes so much regression if they miss skill checks with it that they will lose more progress than they can make. Also I cannot stand people who grief with Technician by purposely missing skill checks with it (Yes these kinds of people exist).

  • I'd use Balanced Landing SO much more if it always made you silent when falling from a high place. I'm sorry but there's no reason it shouldn't silence you every time you drop down. I think this is the best way to buff it without making it over tuned.

I understand it can't have the stagger reduction on every drop down since that enables infinites (I think?) but I think this small change would be OK.

  • Using CoH and Shadow Step together will be the way to go. I think a lot of killers will be using Sloppy + Nurses Calling now and trying to interrupt heals due to the new haemorrhage.

For those who want to try playing against these new changes you will pretty much have to use CoH + SS otherwise you'll probably just highlight where you are to the killer but yeah, SS is underrated. Me and my friend love running it together and creating areas where you can connect shadow steps. It makes looping the killer so much easier and lets you get away more easily from powerful ones like Nurse or Blight etc.

Otherwise I still think insta heals or playing injured will be new meta. Might not be worth it to try and force heal against this tide.

  • Can't wait for killers to get all boons nerfed into the dirt.

Life has taught you the importance of friendship which has given you strength.

While you are on the Hook in the Struggle Phase, Camaraderie activates:

    • If the Killer is within 16 metres of your Hook for at least 10 seconds while Camaraderie is active, the Struggle Phase timer is paused for 26/30/34 seconds.

Basically, make it so it doesn't require a survivor to come in range to activate it. If the killer chooses to stay close to the hook for more than 10 seconds when the survivor is on the second hook stage - The killer has to wait longer, which gives more time for your Solo queue teammates to rush gens or to organise a save.

While I love this it would be easy for the killer to just go outside the range around 7-8 seconds and proxy camp.

I had an idea for Kinship, basically make it so that if you have Kinship you can apply it to someone else who is hooked and being camped but it also works for you when you get hooked. This way a player using Kinship could get value from it on their teammates even if they aren't the one who gets caught and face camped bcuz idk about u but literally any time I bring Kinship I'm not the one who gets face camped and therefore I've brought it for nothing. This way, Kinship could actually be a team perk similar to how Kindred works amongst the team.

  • Ngl when she was disabled from the game it was so nice. Playing solo queue vs an all out meta nurse is so unfun. Matches that end in like 1-2 minutes are a waste of time but idk maybe MMR is more to blame for that scenario.

I just really don't like them though they tend to be really rude in end game chat from my experiences.

  • @Kurri said:

How long till players learn that you can just remember where the dull totems are, and then check them if NOED appears

This is great until the lit totem ends up being right next to where the killer hooks someone so then they just camp the survivor + their NOED.

  • Nurse has been receiving almost nothing but buffs lately despite completely breaking the game.

To hell with nerfing her, she straight-up shouldn't be allowed in the game with how she functions.

  • @toxik_survivor said:

It would look weird, but what if dead hard just didn't launch you forward and just gave off the effect of not being able to be downed for like 1 second.

Stop trying to reason with the people who want DH gutted. They just want the perk removed or rendered useless.

I recently picked up Sadako (by recently I mean like yesterday LOL) despite the nightmares that girl gave me as a kid. And as survivor I don't like going against her at all, but I found out playing her is actually really fun to me ... go figure.

Any killers you guys love playing but hate going against as survivor?

Hiii, Plague main here but GOD do I despise playing against her.

More of making it less frustrating, for people that are trying to play the damn game and don't have friends, or just wanna climb in peace but LO AND BEHOLD a 3 stack SWF that don't want to help your soloQ ass because they are too busy bullying the killer

I legit can't imagine playing this game without friends.

Limiting it to solo or duo queue would absolutely kill this game.

  • Okay but for real killers will not be happy to see four Sprint Bursts or Overcome + Lucky Break possibly becoming more common.

I feel like there will just be a war on exhaustion perks in general when/if DH gets nerfed because there's a lot of killers who think exhaustion perks shouldn't be in the game ๐Ÿ™„

No matter how survivors adapt, killers will not be happy this is the cycle.

  • @Triforcer said:

In all the DH threads, survivors have most graciously pointed out that SB is so much better for them than DH.

I never realized how 70% or 80% of survivors are deliberately using an inferior perk, to give us killers a chance! From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Or...wait. How many of you own monocles and Victorian fainting couches? Hold them tight and pull them near, respectively, because I've heard another theory:

    ...

    ...

DH is actually much, much better than SB for many reasons explained at length, and survivors' dire warnings about using SB are a bad faith deflection to avoid a DH nerf!

    Which is more likely, friends?

It's more like, they're pointing out what killers will complain about next after they get DH nerfed (Sprint Burst).

Seriously, if and when DH gets nerfed or gutted survivors will move to SB or Overcome and then there will be complaint threads about those.

I like to think Balanced Landing, Lithe and Smash Hit are fine but there's definitely a group of killers out there who just hate exhaustion perks period.

  • I'm one of the rare non- toxic Feng min mains

  • Honestly I'd be happy if they buffed Technician just so that you don't lose an additional amount of progress on top of a missed skill check.

Bite the Bullet is basically the same thing except for healing skill checks and it doesn't have an additional regression penalty for missed skill checks. For being a beginner friendly perk Technician is very punishing.

In its current state you can grief your fellow survivor teammates by purposely missing skill checks and reducing the progress of the gen more than they can repair it, that's how much it chunks off. It's ridiculous.

  • I just don't get what "Dark Theory" has to do with going faster lol

  • Killer perks

    Discordance

Honestly the most underrated gen info/detection perk. I use this on Plague mostly but yeah. This is basically a counter to Prove Thyself and a good way to punish survivors for grouping up on gens / finding multiple survivors.

    Fearmonger

Seriously if you're sick of exhaustion perks and your playstyle primarily involves gen defense this is an amazing perk.

    Survivor perks

    Any Means Necessary

The range on this is practically map-wide. With a little attention you can use this knowledge of dropped pallets to your advantage and know where to avoid if said pallets get broken. It's like it has certain elements of Windows of Opportunity and Alert but combined and with the ability to RESET a pallet if the killer decides to not break one. Seriously this is such an underrated perk it's one of my favorites.

    Situational Awareness

If you like sticking to gens and crave info this perk is just amazing. I love to combo it with Prove Thyself so that my gen becomes a beacon for other players to come to and work on it with me for Prove Thyself value. Beware however as it is completely countered by Fearmonger LOL

  • @FlameGNG said:

ok so i get hook camped 7 out of 10 matches nothing i can do about it so how do i get MMR?? if i die 7 out of 10 matches there IS NOTHING i can do about it... i sit 2 min on a hook just to get 5k bp and having to fu**ing try hard skillchecks since the devs thought it was a good idea to remove the old stuggles so you actually have to focus on the game why isnt there a BP bonus for sitting on a hook for 2 minutes???

i mean if im being hookcamped for 120 sec thats 3 gens and idgf what anyone says im still distracting the killer and theoretically giving my teammates time to do gens so WHY isnt that rewarded?

So basically i have no idea on how to play this game i do a 80 90 second loop i get hookcamped i sit on a hook for 120 sec having to do skillchecks for half of that time while i get 8k bp or even less...

im tired of this ######### i swear to god im like being cursed or something... its a joke it started like 3 weeks ago and now its constant literally went from being hook camped once every 30th game to like 70% of my games....

There is no answer to being face camped. If it's happening frequently and it's upsetting you then play something else or play killer. That's what I do. I only have so much patience for extreme camping. The people who face camp know what they're doing. They will throw a match just to ensure one person has a bad experience and that's sadly just how they are.

Make sure you aren't partaking in any toxic behaviors such as tea bagging or clicky clickying etc. sometimes this helps reduce a killers want to camp you to death but it's really just all up to the killer. I never play "toxic" and yet, some people are just going to camp hardcore so again, there's really nothing you can do.

You can try to run Kinship to reduce their value from camping if it happens to you often enough but I personally think Kinship is garbage in solo queue. We really need more options to help combat extreme cases of face camping, it's really the only thing i have a problem with in the game right now on survivor side.

  • I love We'll Make It but if the killer camps, proxy camps or returns to the hook it's useless. Especially once the new Haemorrhage effect goes into effect.

Is it fast and efficient? Yes but only under ideal circumstances. Like someone else mentioned above it's best to have two people run it or have the other person run CoH in case the WMI user gets hooked. Kinda like BT, you'll always want a contingency plan in the event that killers camp which they will inevitably do.

I think healing in general is about to be really shaken up with new haemorrhage though. It's going to be all about playing injured again and utilizing instant heals or endurance most likely. Survivors will adapt and Killers will complain once (When/if) people move away from hyper healing.

  • I've been playing her lately and I absolutely love her. She just shuts down every loop once you understand her power and get good at predicting survivor movements. Save the best for last helps me catch up to survivors who hold W.

She's easily A tier. I think the only thing keeping her from being S tier is her lack of mobility.

  • @toxik_survivor said:

I've played this game since 2017 and sure at times I got pissed when I was camped or tunneled, but it gets to a certain point where it's understandable. Tunneling is simply a good strategy to essentially end the game early and release tension through the game. camping is great to secure a kill, or even secure multiple kills depending on your teammates playstyle.

There is a fine line between toxic camping and tunneling and strategic camping and tunneling. Toxic c and t is also imo fine. It gives me a sense of accomplishment and usually at the end all your other teammates escaped because you ran the killer for 8 hours.

Overall killers have camping and tunneling as a strat and us survivors have tbagging, flashlight clicking, dead hard, and pointing as a strat. That can be a whole new topic, but for now camping and tunneling is a strat in the game that will never be changed.

I had no idea tbagging and clicky clicky made survivors escape better.

Hilarious comparison, you got a laugh out of me.

As a biased survivor main I don't have a problem with tunneling (Unless it's a Nurse, but screw Nurse in general). With tunneling you have many chances to at least still loop what with BT, DS and exhaustion being reset off the hook. What I do have a problem with however is certain killers face camping at five gens, namely Bubba. The face camp playstyle with a build to optimize it is really bs and I won't stop complaining about that because it is unfair. It's difficult though because camping in general I can't really completely condemn either since it's an understandable strat but when it's taken to an extreme I have a problem with it since you can guarantee the death of someone so easily.

  • She synergizes really well with stealth and exposed perks I've noticed.

  • Aside from CoH, I don't really think boons are that oppressive to warrant this kind of change. Most of the boons other than CoH are really not all that bad and I think they function exactly how boons should.

  • This will strengthen the return-to-hook playstyle a lot for sure.

  • Killer = corrupt intervention, I genuinely feel naked without it

Survivor = borrowed time, again I feel naked without it even though it's for my teammates, if I get unhooked without BT I sigh bcuz it's like damn ok

  • @indieeden7 said:

Ahh yes, and keep the vicious circle of boring and uninteractive meta perks going, so much fun!

Yep. I mean realistically what is the point in using Resurgence now? If a killer returns to the hook or has inflicted haemorrhage on the survivor then Resurgence will be useless.

Second Wind will be OK to use but even then, BT and DS will be safer options overall.

  • Use better perks then.

  • @MonsterInMyMind said:

How many times do the dev's gotta say on stream "IT'S GOING TO TAKE TIME THIS IS A PERK THAT INVOLVES PING AND SERVER CONNECTION" before it gets across that it's going to take a hot minute to change because of all the sensitive things tied around it.

Because some people just echo the same thing over and over again on here until they get what they want.

  • @tippy2k2 said:

I like the idea of boons but i feel coh is too strong. The rest are okay or niche.

This is pretty much my thought on the matter as well.

  • @danielmaster87 said:

Why Pentimento + NOED specifically? Doesn't seem that strong to me.

If survivors cleanse totems to try and prevent NOED the killer can light Pentimento totems. So you're screwed either way was the idea I was thinking of.

  • @MonsterInMyMind said:

I mean I have actually taken a liking to playing Plague because of Boons games just feel balanced.

Also it's not Boons it's just healing in general Medkits, Perks and Boon are all a problem its just now people are noticing because of COH.

This is why I love playing her / am happy she's the character that got me into the game lol

Being able to invalidate CoH is so good but it's only her that can do that sadly.

  • Survival is a pain to get points in tbh

  • Because people don't like dying without being hooked at all.

  • You can do literally everything to give the killer incentive to leave a hooked survivor but as long as someone wants to camp they will.

  • Y'all sounding very Fengphobic today

  • Hide and wait for bleed out I guess. Move enough to avoid afk crows though but yeah sadly not much you can do.

If you try to save the other person you'll likely just be trading positions as the killer will slug you and go after them so.. Yeah

  • It would have to be the acrylic toenails on the new Spirit skin for me (Jk they make it 100 times funnier)

    20220321_224252.jpg

  • I like using Corrupt and Deadlock when I want easy, guaranteed stall.

Ruin + Undying on certain killers and when I'm feeling lucky.

And then traditional slowdown like Pop / Jolt / Pain Resonance when I wanna work for my slowdown.

Gen freeze is great though and corrupt is a godsend. If you're tired of survivors all spawning in right next to gens and working on them immediately, RUN CORRUPT

  • I'd say Clown. He's actually really fun despite being clown tier but also his perks are cool. I use Pop to this day.

Now that being said, Deathslingers perks are great too! Hex: Retribution is amazing and underrated and DMS was recently buffed to be a lot better.

I'd honestly say go with whichever one looks more fun to play as

Boons are really fair and totally not make killer experience 10x worse than it was before.

Its definetly the fun role in this game and BHVR really cares about killers fun.

Its so fun to play killer againts boons,I love snuffing boons every 30 seconds and lose chases because of that.

What a fun concept, playing survivor with your friends on comp just wasn't easy enough, killer needed another objective and m1 killer we're just too op,BHVR needed to do something about that.

Boons are totally what a new survivor objective should look like because they can infinitely use them, its not fair for survivors to have another objective without gaining an advantage out of it.

Pls add more objectives for killers to deal with while making survivors stronger, there are just not enough.
