I actually like sprint burst and lithe better tbh.
-
I don't know for sure but it honestly kind of feels too negligible and niche. In certain situations I'm sure it would be amazing. I can imagine that it along with shadow step on certain maps would be really nasty for losing the killer more easily and being a pain to find. Think like Midwich / The game etc.
But in open maps / dead zones it literally will do nothing most likely so idk. Really dependent. I think the most awkward thing is having to loop around the totem to get that bonus speed so that's what really makes it niche in my opinion but I get it lol
-
You know what really pisses me off about Technician is they released Bite the Bullet which minimizes the loss in progress from a failed skill check whilst healing in addition to silencing the miss.
And yet Technician still penalizes you fully + more for missed skill checks on generators. It really is godawful for newer players.

Once DH finally gets nerfed what are we going to complain about to get nerfed next?

Killers are petty more often than not.

Oh no, survivor players are leaving??? Thats so sad 😨😨😨, anyways.... Maybe itll improve the survivor queue times lmao.
It's actually really sad that you're okay with people not wanting to play the game and leave / quit but hey go off.
@Brimp said:
So from what I'm reading... It's unfair for survivors to get cucked by RNG reverse bear traps. But is it fair to spawn in as killer and have each survivor spawn by a separate gen? Thats basically a lose for the killer because no matter who they pressure 3 gens are always gonna be worked on. And for semi smart survivors thats basically a free 3 out against 85% of the killer roster.
Just use Corrupt Intervention. I won't deny however that survivor spawns / gen placement on maps needs to be looked at but it really has nothing to do with the topic at hand.

a lot of people are complaining about nurse, and it’s just confusing to me. Can someone clarify what’s the problem with her? And if you do have a problem, let’s hear rework ideas then
When played perfectly you can't do anything against Nurse. To make matters worse, many perks that aren't great on a lot of killers are insanely good on her eg. Starstruck.
She's a problematic killer since she basically breaks the entire game over her knee. Compare her to Blight who is also in S tier and he doesn't even come close to the power level Nurse is at.
-
I love him and his chase music. Looping against him can be fun but my main concern with him is always: he's probably going to tunnel relentlessly 😣
Pyramid head is to tunneling as Bubba is to face camping, it's just how his torment lends well to it tbh
-
@Voodoo_Thirsty said:
Agreed, even as a survivor main and maybe it's because I never use it, it's still a stupid perk, not to mention a selfish perk that does nothing but extend chases for a tedious amount.
If Dead Hard was not meta there'd be less camping and tunneling. But then again, there's NOED so DH users can make excuses over that.
Wish both perks were nerfed so that we can play DBD normally again.
As long as face camping is viable killers will always do it. No amount of changes to discourage it will ever change that.
As for DH I really don't have much sympathy here. If it gets nerfed, killers will move on to the next thing they want nerfed. That's just how this goes.

I don't get it, are some people expecting to get condemned mori(s) every single match or something?

I play both sides. Bait it out or play around it.

This is kind of a silly comment. OP was talking about players being toxic with the new killer and was asking why that might be. He wasn't asking which side does it more... 🤦♂️
Don't forget the forums are an echo chamber for perpetually upset, mostly killer mains.
-
Maybe as a survivor skin considering he almost outlived everyone in Saw. It would also be satisfying to see the Pig chasing him in the Entity's realm. I can honestly see it happening.
I wanted an Amanda survivor skin for the longest time but that's extremely unlikely and I'm just an Amanda fan. Bottom line though I'm surprised we don't have even a single legendary survivor skin for the Saw chapter. I think there's plenty of good candidates to choose from tbh
-
It's not an add-on by chance is it?
-
You're welcome.
-
You can't make Condemned easy to accumulate without being incredibly careful since it's a straight mori regardless of hook states. It's a balancing nightmare tbh due to how it works.
The problem is how do you rework condemned in such a way that it forces survivors to do the side objective but does not make for such a potentially premature mori? It's difficult, the only idea I have is usually not very well received by most so I won't share here unless you'd like to hear it.
Aside from just Condemned though I think she could benefit from some improvements in other categories. Bloody fingernails really needs to be base kit and the cooldown on TVs could be lowered a bit if you ask me.
-
It sounds to me like you're going through the struggles of an M1 killer. Welcome to the club. Now that being said she's brand new and you're brand new to playing her. You can't expect to dominate with her straight away. Sadako seems like she has a pretty high learning curve too despite being an M1 killer. Give it some time and practice before announcing her as unfit for the game. I can guarantee, if CoH didn't exist people would have a much different opinion on her and killer in general lately.

@Lucent said:
so you think survivors should get free unhooks? Which means they will just wait for someone to get hooked then immediately unhook them in the killers face since there is no consequence.
Killers can still hit survivors unhooking another survivor.. Then hit them again forcing a trade. I don't see why a trade should be more normalized than a face camping killer to be allowed to guarantee a kill on the hooked survivor and then grab anyone healthy who tries to unhook the person on the hook.
I just don't get it. A lot of the people in this thread really just think you should do gens and leave/the killer should get that 1 guaranteed kill if they face camp like that's the way this game is intended to be played. How is that fun on either side? I could never face camp as a killer that just isn't fun to me. This game is best enjoyed when chasing/being chased, hiding/looking for the survivors and interacting with other players in general rather than sitting in one spot for the majority of the match.
And I understand killers who face camp mid match / end game but I still think giving the person on the hook a chance to escape that situation if someone else is willing to sacrifice themselves is fair. I start to have a problem with face camping when killers just do it on their first hook and force the other survivors to rush gens / secure their first kill then segue into their late game builds which usually involve no way out, noed etc where they try to get additional kills for minimal effort.
Face camping makes people quit playing the game and as long as it exists and is popularized/meta (thanks sbmmr) it just makes it less appealing to play this game tbh. And that's OK, there are plenty of other great games out rn for people to play
-
I'm seeing this trend of "She isn't strong enough" like do some of you only play killers who are solid A tier+?
Is there something wrong with having killers who aren't immediately incredibly powerful/broken and people being excited for a character just because they like them and want to play as them regardless of their power level
-
I mean for a yellow add-on it alleviated his biggest weakness which is getting out of tier 1 asap.
He really does have a slew of other decent add-ons that nobody ever talks about or uses and I don't think people give enough credit to a good Nemmy who is tier 2-3. There isn't much you can do vs him when you're infected, he just eats up pallets and eventually snowballs if the survivors don't manage the trial appropriately. Maybe if it was a higher rarity add-on I'd understand but a yellow being a must run for optimal play is weird.

I think it only activating once per generator is fine, perks like Tinkerer are as obnoxious as they are because they don't have that limiting factor.
I would say that I think the 20 seconds might be too short, though. That might need buffing in the future.
This. I think the duration should be increased. 30 seconds would be good to start with and see how it goes from there

"insane map mobility" with 100 seconds cooldown and condemned mechanic still can be easily removed since it's still 3 less condemned progress.
Yes, being able to teleport across the entire map is pretty crazy mobility even if it is tied to a long cooldown.

Kinship might be better if it worked on others instead of yourself, I would probably run it a lot more since I often see campers and it would be cool to be in the area and halt progress.
Same, this was an idea I had for a Kinship rework. Currently Kinship is way too niche in solo queue sadly.

So what I'm taking away from this thread is that she's been buffed because everyone cried loud enough but it's not enough and she should be buffed even more so we're all here to cry more 😐

I do think a "you can kind of see and hear everything I do" stealth killer does have an expiration date, but eventually they're gonna have to give her a little something extra I feel. In the meantime, she'll be fun when people don't know how to play against her, but I hope BHVR realize it's a honeymoon phase and don't use it to justify not touched ng her for a year
???
Are we all just ignoring the Condemned mechanic as well as her insane map mobility via TV teleporting?
As much as I love stealth as killer I'm not expecting her to just be completely silent and invisible that's unrealistic. There has to be audio cues of some kind, especially when she has other elements present in her kit. The lullaby may be counterintuitive to a stealth oriented playstyle but she seems like a Jack of all trades similar to Pig (Except with amazing map pressure and mobility).
-
This thread is basically: people with common sense who see how big of an actual issue face camping Bubba + a dedicated end game/deadlock build is vs. the people who face camp with Bubba and just want you to take the L and are openly bragging about how they get guaranteed kills from their method.
In other words this is an echo chamber for both sides and I don't think we're ever going to get anywhere.
-
I'd rework it to be like Grim Embrace where if you manage to get 4 different people hooked on the basement hooks you gain some super powerful effect.
Of course, considering how hooking survivors in the basement can be somewhat RNG it would need to be a very good effect to warrant such a difficult activation requirement. Maybe instead of one effect you gain after 4 unique basement hooks it could be a growing threat for each token similar to Devour Hope.
No matter what, I'd get rid of its current effects since they promote basement camping. Giving it a better effect that incentivizes going out and bringing more people down into the basement/playing around the basement area would be more fun and healthier for the game.

This is basically how I feel in regards to face camping bubbas

@GannTM said:
I consider Spirit to be a super fun killer at this current state and I wanna explain why I think so. First off, I know this is opinion based as everyone is entitled to their preference on who they find fun but I wanted to have this discussion.
I want to address the fact that she is a uniquely designed killer. I see a lot of arguments against that as people claim that the past nerf took away her uniqueness. It’s simply not true. What other killer in the game promotes using ears to counterplay the killer? I mean you can make a case for Demo as he’s loud but that is not how Demo’s counterplay is intended to work. It’s an audio back-and-forth interaction with Spirit which is unique to the whole roster.
Next I’d like to talk about viability. Spirit is most definitely a viable killer at high levels whether you want to think that or not. She’s a killer that doesn’t rely on perks and add ons to do well if you know how to play her at her well. Now I’m no means the best player in the world. I’m decent with Spirit because I play her a lot but calling me a god with her is a false statement. I can still perform well because she’s simply a strong killer and I have experience with her. A stronger killer can be more fun because you feel like an actual powerhouse being the 1 against the 4, but obviously I can’t speak for everyone as others like weaker killers better which is understandable.
Her add on variety has improved drastically since her nerf in 5.3.0. You got add ons like Uchiwa and Kintsugi Teacup that let you boulder through pallets. You got Senko Hanabi which is a decent counter to windows. Furin can make for fun perk combos and can maybe help bamboozle survivors on gens. Wakizashi Saya has its own skill cap to it and is actually pretty decent if you know how to use it. You get the picture? All these add ons do completely different things that isn’t just a boost in numbers which is what BHVR should really focus on when designing killer add ons (obviously while still making them worth using).
I want to talk about her speed. I think most can agree speedy killers that can jet across the map are more fun than slower ones because they can close distance faster and can start new chases quicker. This is also fun for the survivors as it’s less M1 sim with a speedy killer that has map pressure. This obviously applies to the game as a whole. Spirit being 176% can take advantage of the speed and apply it to a realistic setting in DBD, making bigger maps not as big of a problem for her, which brings me to my last point.
So many killers are map dependent but I would consider Spirit to be one of the more map independent killers in the game. Are indoor maps a problem for her like Blight and Billy? It’s not. A killer being map dependent is less fun because they rely on RNG to have a fun game.
So those are a few of my points on why I think Spirit is an amazing and fun killer. Again, if you don’t like playing as or against her, your opinion is 100% valid. I just wanted to have a discussion on what makes her fun for me and see if others agree.
Honestly, mostly biased survivor main here but I have to agree with all of these points.
I absolutely adore Spirit. She's one of my favorite killers to play as and against (Well, except when the Spirit is using cherry blossom + mother daughter ring and there's 0 chance of hiding from them but that's beside the point).

There are perks that help, borrowed being the biggest one. Nothing is inherently wrong with face camping but sometimes you need the team to help out more in those situations vs just 1 other person.
Kinship is usable without comms since it only requires another survivor to get close to the hook and nothing else. Does being in comms make it more useful, sure, but its still usable.
BT does nothing in regards to face camping unless you can actually unhook the person. If a killer face camps to the point that you can't even get the unhook then BT effectively does nothing vs face camping. I know it's effective against tunneling immediately off the hook though but that's different.

There's that thinking again of "omg most punish !!!" Instead of of "devs should fix the real issues of the game. That drive people to play in certain ways"
The devs could fix things like map size issues and problematic things like DH and CoH and killers would still face camp because it's easy and guarantees kills.

@EvilJoshy said:
I think the other 3 survivors should do gens and leave.
There isn't enough time for three other survivors to do all gens and escape especially if the killer brought Deadlock + No Way Out to use with NOED (Also not enough time to cleanse all 5 totems to prevent NOED).
Face camping with Bubba is the easiest way to guarantee zero effort kills that's why so many killers are doing it lately and it's why cannibal has such high kill rates but nobody wants to talk about all of that.
Just do gens and leave 4head
I honestly just play something else bcuz it seems like killers don't want you to even play the game anymore.
-
Sadly there are no perks that help with face camping which is why killers are doing that much more lately. They know it guarantees them a kill, then they just go and do it to the next person and pair this with NOED, No Way Out, Deadlock etc.
And before anyone says Kinship (Camaraderie) please, that's only usable on comms in a coordinated team. Honestly wish they'd buff Kinship so that it punishes dedicated face campers more and incentivizes them to leave the hook because this current meta of face camping has made me quit the game.
-
I wish it had an effect similar to Mettle of Man where you could tank a hit for a brief window of time instead of dashing forward, giving you deep wounds + the typical speed boost upon hit if you predict correctly and bait the killer into hitting you during the proposed super small window of activation.
-
She shuts down virtually all loops if you know what you're doing with her and forces survivors to hold W or give her free hits.
Verticality is one of her few weaknesses / counterplay that survivors can utilize against her.
I think it would be neat but she really doesn't need it. Some killers are just going to have maps they don't do so well on. Take Billy and Huntress for example on Lery's. Or Plague also on Swamp I dread it but I play it out anyways and do my best to play through the disadvantages.
-
No.
-
they're probably scared to be face camped on first hook to death
-
BHVR needs to address face camping. Imagine if survivors could guarantee 1-2 escapes no matter what, killers would be upset. With face camping + a build centered around it/the end game a killer can get an easy kill and likely more very easily. 4ks using this method against solo queue survivors are not uncommon as survivors don't have enough time to complete all gens and then also cleanse all bones to not be killed by NOED before the first person dies on hook.
But it's whatever, camping is the best way for killers to play right now since they can't get kills otherwise if we are to go by the things they say (I really don't believe this).
I've honestly quit playing the game for the most part because of 9/10 survivor matches involving face campers like this. The rare times I do play I play killer and have fun playing the game normally but that doesn't last long since I get bored playing alone and just move on to a different game where i can play with friends.
-
It really isn't fair. BBQ is amazing on certain killers eg. Huntress, Artist, Nurse, even some others (basically ranged or high mobility) and then not so great on other killers like Hag, Trapper etc. who are territorial and can't get around the map as well.
Aside from being a flat buff to all killers, it would make good killers even better and not do much for lower power killers really. The BP would be nice though but BHVR will never just give a strong bp effect like that inherent on either side. I pretty much go in knowing i have to sacrifice a slot on either side if I want to farm as much BP as possible in a match through BBQ or wglf.

It would make it usable in my opinion. It's incredibly risky to heal someone else while you yourself are injured which already makes running Solidarity risky as it promotes questionable gameplay.
I think the only problem with buffing any healing perks right now is the existence of CoH in its current state.
-
Can't wait for killers to still complain about it after it gets nerfed like they still do with DS on a daily basis.

@Sluzzy said:
Out of the matches played this morning, a whopping 80% of those the killer tunneled people out of the match. This is a very serious problem and has put the game's health in serious jeopardy. My last match was against a bad Huntress abusing broken hitboxes for an unfair advantage so as soon as I was unhooked, here comes an undodgeable hatchet and I'm back on the floor again.
I used DS but it didn't matter. She continued to chase me and because I got locked in an animation I had to suffer an uncounterable hatchet again. Why is this a thing?
For a game that is about 6 years old, this is a shame. Survivor is seriously lacking in ways to deal with tunneling. In every single patch ever released, killer gets a very powerful slowdown perk to deal with things they do not like. (Scourge Pain, Deadlock to name a couple of recent ones).
All of these perks that have given killers power creep but survivor can still be tunneled out of the match instantly. This makes playing killer a lack of any challenge because you can pick all of these extremely powerful perks for an advantage but still do things that was still possible all the way back in 2016.
Survivors need better perks for survival. The game shouldn't be so disadvantageous for one side. The player counts are dropping fast due to very unfair matches.
I wish you'd make a post instead about how face camping should be addressed since that is actually a completely hopeless situation.

Just face camp as Bubba with NOED. Free kills and mmr if you are not a great killer, everyone's doing it.

@SilentShepherd said:
You have seen me around, rightfully pointing out how Bubba needs nerfs.
Yes I am a Survivor main, but that does not mean I am biased.
So today, I decided to try Bubba, to prove how easy and ridiculous his kit is. And as expected, the results were exactly what I guessed they would be.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/BNI8Y940TVQV/bubba1.jpg
This is someone who is completely new to Bubba. I have played about 4 matches with Bubba today, and only -1- person escaped. That's 15 kills, 1 escape across 4 matches. For a COMPLETELY NEW BUBBA player.
- I have never played Bubba before
- I AM A Survivor Main!!!
- I DONT PLAY KILLER AT ALL. Look at my ranking, Ash 3. I ranked up in 4 easy matches.
- LOOK AT MY PERKS. I only have 3. All level 1 yellow perks! I'm up against full purple, 4 perks. AND I STILL WRECKED THEM.
And the only person who escaped, was entirely my fault. I have no idea how long Decisive Strike lasts for, as I don't play Killer, this is not something I have memorized. So I waited a long time, and picked up a Survivor, but DS was still active and they got away from me. That's it. It would have been 16 kills otherwise.
During my playthrough with Bubba, I found myself talking out loud saying "what is this, this is bs" as I easily downed two FULL HEALTH survivors in the killer shack with a couple swings of my chainsaw. If there was too many windows nearby for a chainsaw, I just turned into an M1 killer and hit them twice and downed them anyway. But ooh boy, if I caught them ANYWHERE else, I didn't even bother with M1. Full health --> insta down with chainsaw. I caught myself being in complete disgust at how easy this was.
If you look at my post history, I bought DBD +Halloween DLC on the same day, to main Michael Myers, last year. I got so annoyed at how weak Myers was (new players dont have great addons for every game), plus the SWF nonsense, that I stopped playing Killer altogether. But now having played Bubba, this is hilarious. He is the easiest killer i ever tried. Getting 4k is a breeze. And should you ever want to camp, it's easy money. Nobody, and I mean, NOBODY is getting away from an unhook if you camp. Even if they have BT, then it becomes a trade, but someone is going up on that hook again. And slugging became VERY easy. Because of instadown chainsaw. And turning didn't help them. I am a completely new Bubba and even I could make him turn corners and knock them down.
In conclusion. Bubba needs a revamp. His kit is ridiculous. Nerf would not even be enough. Bubba needs wholesale changes because he is far and away too easy to use and oppress survivors for 4k. I WANT TO REPEAT - LOOK AT MY PERKS. I don't even have 4 perk slots. All my perks are level one. Survivors are full purple perks. And they never stood a chance. Against a SURVIVOR MAIN who -never- plays Killer. Not even for daily rituals.
Face camp with this build and I'm sure you'll do even better:
NOED / No Way Out / Corrupt Intervention / Deadlock
You can switch things around to include Bloodwarden too if you want.
There's a reason he has one of the very highest kill rates and it's because he can guarantee kills as well as force people to gen rush into an unavoidable NOED end game build situation. This can be effective even at higher ranks he really does need a rework of some kind. The sole reason I don't want to play the game anymore is the fact that if you want to guarantee kills easily you just play as him and make it miserable for everyone.
I don't usually complain about killers but he's a bad offender. Oh and Nurse but it's not really fair to talk about her. She's allowed to be broken since she actually has to work for her results.
-
If you want to counter Dead Hard use Exposed or killers who can down survivors in one hit. Use add-ons or perks that inflict exhausted. It's run so much that it should be expected on every single survivor. If you haven't adapted to it by now in some capacity then you need to start now.
Both sides are allowed to have powerful perks. Idk I just really see nothing wrong with it. Yeah it sucks when they use it to get to a pallet and extend a chase but that's what it's for.
-
I mean technically every killer is capable of face camping and that can be seen at every level of play.
-
The only problem I have is face camping first hook into an end game NOED situation as it almost always guarantees a 2k, usually more especially against poor solo queue. It also just encourages killers to sit there and camp first hook/not play until they need to catch someone else which is hilariously boring. Seriously the amount of killers who do this these days is sad. If I want to have fun anymore i have to play Killer myself which gets old after a few matches since I don't really like the solo playstyle but I have the most fun playing killer with meme builds and not sweating like a tryhard I really wish more people would just try and have fun instead of doing everything in their power to make the other sides experience as awful as possible.
