Why are you playing with bad teammates?
The killer successfully found, chase, downed, carried you to hook. Even tho survivors have 70+ perks for second chances.
Why would you choose to play with bad teammates?
It's called solo que.

The hatch shouldn't be available tbh.
If you fail you fail. Take ur death, letting ur entire team die means you did nothing to help any of them. No protection hits or hook saves or hook breaks to help them wiggle you didnt flashlight or pallet stun them during carry... if ur team is entirely dead that's entirely your fault.
If you simply must have the hatch you shouldn't be able to open without 110 charges on generators and at least one safe hook.
I wont say you have to do a gen and a half but 110 charges is the equivalent I think so you can at least say you progressed enough even if you got pressured off.
A hook suicide or first hook kill should grant killers full points so it doesn't effect there gameplay. Survivors can be penalized for this in my opinion because there is no reason whatsoever you cant sfw. Make freinds, join a lfg, send messages to people who help you escape. Idk make freinds. It's not hard.
Dude what are you talking about? You can be the best survivor in the world. If your team are idiots they'll die. The killer should not get full points because of a hook suicide. They didn't earn those points. And just got handed an easy win.
-
I've said before, and I'll say it again. Remove the Hex part and put it on a timer. Start with a base timer of 60 seconds. Then add 15 seconds for every hook the killer got that game. That way it's no longer controlled by the survivors if it procs or not. And it rewards the killer for playing well.

If they were lagging then they shouldn't play this game anyways. Dev's said today anyone with more than 150 MS isn't going to have a good time at the game (and they arn't allowed to say that player should stop playing live - but i'm sure we both understand where we are getting at). DBD is a technically intense game right down to the need of a good connection.
Yeah, cause lag spikes never happen to people with good internet....

I do what I can.

Ultimately your fellow survivors are just cannon fodder for you.

and you were stuck with "these idiots" when everyone and their dog was bunched up in red ranks. at least now you can just use them to tick off your pip check list and get away from the potatoes.
Not really. You still got them. But not nearly as frequently.
-
I'm still inconsistent about hitting greats. Oddly I did better hitting them with Ruin.
-
######### I'd main both of them.
-
Yes, but now I'm stuck trying to rank up again with these idiots.

Even just default, which would be your favorite? 🙂
I mean I don't rank them on cosmetics. I have a few cosmetics for the characters I like. If I'm going off that, Dwight, Jane, Feng, Claudette, Nancy, and Meg are the ones I use. Those are in no particular order.

Yeah, at my age reaction time is not the greatest. I am 50 this year. I also have a few floaters in my eyes. Dark, lightless, areas in my vision and they look like spiders with legs.
Imagine having a small tick constantly in your eyesight. This is what floaters are essentially. They come with, here it comes - and what you young people have to look forward to, old age.
Ah, I can see why it would be less useful then. I personally don't have the best hearing, so I've found Spine Chill very helpful.
-
I never paid any attention to there cosmetics so...

@fleshbox said:
I dont use it. I find having to pay attention to the icon to be far too distracting. I was looking at the icon more than playing the game and holding M1.
Does Spine come with an audio like premonition? I cant rem since i dont use it.
No audio cue. I found I see it light up out of the corner of my eye.
-
I mean, I said before the penalties were a good idea in theory. But I think the parameters there using need adjustment.

Every one of us would benefit from playing our less preferred role a bit more (except the 50/50 players, of course).
Experience breeds empathy, empathy breeds understanding - something which is sorely needed by many in this community.
Not to mention that being a good killer will make you a better survivor, and vice versa.
I swear everytime you post it's so breathtakingly rational I can't help but think I really like you.

If you play a multiplayer game knowing full well your internet isn't the best (regardless of your circumstance, this isn't relevant) then you should be prepared to have some backlash for ruining the game for the other players. You have made your problem their problem. They have a right to complain.
They also have the right to not be #########. Being unhappy that there internet has caused problems is understandable. Being a jerk about it isn't.

What you're suggesting is ludicrous, then.
What do you mean suggesting? That is what I actually pay. Because they are the only option. To make matters worse they don't even offer better speed for more. That's the only package available.

I'd like to know what monopoly charges more than double the high end of the national average. 100 is considered expensive. If that is indeed accurate, what OP is suggesting is ludicrous.
I pay 130...for 3 mbps.

OP said they lived in a "major city."
Yes. As I said, it depends where you live. If there is a monopoly on internet service in that area you'll get screwed. In my case because it's a more rural area. In their case most likely because their is no other provider.

Damn who is your carrier? I pay $90 for 1gb although it is closer 840mbps and that is through Fios. Comcast which sucks offers 300mbps plans at $60
Depends on where you live. More rural areas get screwed on pricing and options.

I think how people SEE saboteur is part of the problem.
When ever I’ve ran a sabo build I’ve ran a Toolbox AND Saboteur. I use the toolbox to 99% as many as possible and use Saboteur to finish the job when a killer approaches the hook.
Plus it’s back up for when my toolbox has expired.
That is how I've played it. That still doesn't make the perk worth running.
-
-10. What a massive waste of time.
-
What a waste of time that stream was.

There are toolboxes specifically for sabo'ing though. Alex's Toolbox for one.
I know. When was the last time you saw one used? Sabo is useless because it takes too much time compared to the time the hook is down. They would have to increase the time the hooks are down by alot. Or at the minimum go to 75% speed. Otherwise saboteur is useless.
-
@Tactless_Ninja said:

It can't be powerful enough to replace toolboxes. And you need to take into account a full team of saboteurs and how they could affect the game.
Maybe jury-rig it so the aura doesn't show for killer or make Kobe'ing off the hook 100%?
Literally nobody bothers using a toolbox for sabo though.
-
Not really. The only way to make it relevant is either sabo at 100% speed. Or massively increase the time hooks stay broken. Like a 2 minute increase.
-
No.

I mean, if you want to keep pretending that is the reason for the majority of DCs then go ahead. It's not reality though.
It's certainly not. But the first should be no penalty . Kind of a warning. The game does still have stability issues after all. Any more beyond the first should carry a harsher penalty though.
-
Lol. No. The forums damn near imploded for the Ruin nerf. Of course it wasn't all unwarranted. It was a questionable move at best. To my at least. This has seen far less outrage. The only legitimate point I've seen is the games stability issues can unfairly punish people.

If you haven't already I'd suggest trying Spine Chill. It would probably help alot with you being hard of hearing.

Lol
Its much more likely its related to disconnect system than the devs actually fixing something
I did say maybe. Not definitely. But realistically how many people can possibly be soft banned from DC's already?
-
I believe the devs said the were making behind the scenes adjustments to help with que times. Maybe they found something that worked?
-
Like 24 hours straight? I suppose it would be killer regardless. The amount of BP would be too much to pass up.

At least it's not just me confused here.

So let me get this straight, your saying that he needs to camp, a strategy that is likened to war crimes on these forums with perks such as borrowed time and decisive strike to counter it?
Make up your mind. It's either camping is a valid strategy or its toxic.
It's called strategic camping. The Bubba that just mindlessly camps the first person they catch is obnoxious. Any fair minded player understands the difference. If they don't, they can be ignored as they're an idiot.
As for the video, I don't have the time to watch it at the moment. I will point out that there is more to this game then being good at chases. From what I've read in the comments. Aside from a few mistakes, Ardetha did very well. The survivors apparently were smart enough to see they were out matched in chase, and rushed out as quickly as possible.
-
What you are suggesting is similar to an idea I had before. Only difference is I would make it no longer a hex totem. I'd put it on a timer. Start it with a base of 60 seconds. You would gain a stack for every hook. You get an additional 15 seconds per stack. So if you got 6 hooks you get an additional 90 seconds. The numbers could be changed, but that's the basic idea.

What kind of sad group of people would do that? 😓
I'm a survivor main and have never purposefully DC'd from a match - even once when the killer had over 2000 ping...
As other people have said, I'd prefer a vote to end the match rather than the killer getting to choose on their own.
It would be handy though - I once had an entire 3 man swf DC after about 30 secs into the match because their noob friend got hooked. Tried to get door but didn't let go of lever in time so killer grabbed and hooked me, losing my party streamers and rank 😑
I'm not saying it's not scummy. But a person asked earlier how swf would abuse it. This is how.

So let them have fun with the DC penaltys. They wont play much more.
Except if there's 4 of them. And they rotate which one DC'S. The penalty will probably never touch them.
-
Because I don't like them. I couldn't care less about DS or DH. Unbreakable is too situational for my taste. BT and Adrenaline I'll run on occasion. But both are pretty rare for me. I basically only use them if multiple games in a row I needed them.
-
If it gave you some benefit as well I might. Not that it's bad, but there are too many better perks.
-
@PigMainClaudette said:
Ghostface himself is fine.
It's the people who play him that are the problem*.
*not all Ghostface players, just those who feel it's necessary to endlessly camp/tunnel with their broken stealth ability. Broken as in detection, btdubbz.
Pretty much this. The killer himself is pretty good. The people who play him are usually the worst.
-
They load in with a killer the group doesn't like facing. One person eats the DC. They move on to the next game. Rinse and repeat until they get a killer they like. If they rotate the survivor who DC'S the penalty will probably be easy to avoid, or at least mitigate.
-
Lol. Nope, just the truth.
-
It does feel like the game conspires against you sometimes.

I honestly think it is their own fault for getting caught. Should I just throw myself at the killer because my team decided to run dumb perks instead of things that will actually help them survive the diciest situations?
Every time I see someone with like "we'll make it" or "we are gonna live forever" getting absolutely butchered; I wished they would run DS so they can be terrible and get away with it, or spine chill so they would not get caught in the first 20 seconds of the game.
I would rather run spine chill and left behind.
We'll Make It is an awesome perk.
