There was never any proof or official statement that hackers caused DC penalty, that was just streamers saying it was.
True encountered a known bug that many of us experienced and claimed it was a hacker, but no dev ever said it was.
Puppers said they hacked in through the Microsoft store. Then piggy backed into steam from there. Given he was that specific there must have been some proof.
-
That Wraith skin is baddass.
-
1) Because Noed is fair.
2) Because hatch is fine. It ensures the game ends one way or another.
3) The devs have stated they are looking at keys. So they'll probably be completely useless soon enough.
4) They are also looking at Mori's. So again probably useless.

I want a buff when survivors act scumbag then, and we all know survivors are way more toxic because they are the power role.
Yes, yes those poor defenseless killers. Nothing they can do in any situation. They're so oppressed by those big mean survivors.

More survivor buff yaaaay.
It's only a buff if the killer plays like a scumbag. And I can't say I'm sad about campers having a harder time.
-
I shouldn't laugh. But God that's funny.
-
Just play the game? In all seriousness I don't oppose locking in character and items after like 30 seconds. But I never change what I'm running just because I see a certain item.
-
I think a good way for them to do this is to have two different mmr's for killers. One being an individual ranking the other being a total killer ranking. They use the individual ranking obviously to figure out where you should be matched with killers you obviously play. Then the total killer ranking takes your average across all killers and applies it to any killer you don't regularly play. That would probably be the best way to get an accurate match making system.

A bone made into a club would have been cool.

ds is so broken 5 sec stun is the worst idea on dbd ,why don't we reduce it to 4 sec?
Because nearly 2 of those seconds are the survivor being dropped.

First of all, I don't mean anything here to be disrespectful, so pleas please understand that. I main Trapper, who is one of the slowest killers to get going. He has to spend the early game setting up the map. You don't want to commit to long chases too early or you are done. I understand how fast those first few gens can go.
That said, "gen rush" claims annoy the hell out of me. What are survivors supposed to do? Hide in a locker for the first 45 seconds, the run from th locker to killer shack and back before starting a gen? They have only one objective that counts, do the gens asap. The longer a match goes, the more their chances of survival fade.
Getting upset at survivors hitting gens is as absurd as survivors getting upset at a killer for getting a hook within the first minute. We have one objective, kill the survivors.
My thoughts are that you either ran into a group who completely outclassed your skill level;happens to everyone. You perhaps made too many mistakes early? Did you commit to a long chase early in the game that cost you more time than it was worth? Be willing to break off a chase if it looks like it will take too long. Wound and move on.
Dud you tunnel or spend too much time proxy camping? A lot of killers rank up vs bad survivors in green and purple ranks only to learn that lazy strategy does not cut it so well at the higher ranks. They either whine, or learn to adjust their skills and grow.
Not enough data to know what it was. I'd suggest taking a step back and try to asses any errors you are making and correct them. That is how you get better.
Good luck.
No man. That setup is gen rush. This is a rare instance where the term is being used correctly. It's not full gen rush. If it was there'd have been 2 more toolboxes with BnP.
@TheRoyalOwl uh multiple Streetwise stacks make toolboxes better than before. Two people with Prove Thy Self, Streetwise, engineers toolboxes, BnP, and Wire Spool can complete a gen in 15 seconds. The real joke is they'd have enough toolbox left to complete their second gen in 29 seconds. Get a 4 man with a decent spawn and this setup and that's 4 gens in 44 seconds.
-
He's a killer main at heart. So yeah, he's going to have a killer main audience. I used to like watching him. But between his near constant complaining, at least when I watched. And his community being pretty hostile towards survivors I decided I was good.
-
Never tested it. I've been meaning to. Just haven't gotten around to it.

Tunnel the key user, its not toxic if they're actually asking for it. As for moris my best recommendation is to make sure you don't depip, cause that match is already lost unless you have a key yourself.
Yes, how dare they use an item available in the game...

Its like people bringing offerings for Hawkins. Sure some can claim all they want that its a "killer sided map" but its not. Its hell to navigate.
Yamoaka is terrible. Midwich is terrible. Hawkins is terrible. Lerys is terrible. The list of just godawful maps goes on and on.
Hawkins is killer sided mostly. The navigation sucks. But so does basically every pallet on the map.
-
Yeah no. You can't force people to play a game they don't want to play. Guess what would happen if you got your way. People would just go afk until they died.
-
Considering how awful it is for both sides I can't fathom anyone willing going there.
-
Supposedly it's so they can tweak the numbers on things behind the scenes without needing to update the descriptions all the time. If you're that bothered use the wiki.

You want me to add another one to the hundreds of topics about it?
Mostly I was just giving you crap because the post came off way to serious to me. And apparently to others based on their mock boycotts.
-
Is this what people are actually concerned with? Who cares about game breaking bugs? We need more diverse hair color.
-
It used to always be me. Then I stopped running at the start of the match. Now it's nearly never me first.
-
Increased his cloaked movement speed by 10%.
Slightly decreased his disappearance and reappearance times.
Bone Clapper base kit.
These three changes I think would make a world of difference.

Technically true, but if you start seeing it that way then every patch will be dissapointing i feel.
Especially now where most of the buffs aren't that big of a deal
If you take the op's view it would be disappointing. I just view them as different moves towards balancing the game.

yes and enjoyable means outplaying killer in each possible way and if they fail in doing that game becomes unfun....
dont care if they espace yes and thast why usualiy in chat afterwars most whine comes from those who died
That's not what enjoyable means. But OK.

Not at all..at least I get to use my brain a little bit and i have to be afraid..legion just requires competence
We'll have to agree to disagree on this. I've actually had fun Legion matches. I've never had an enjoyable PH match.

"It's a fact in my opinion"
That's the funniest thing I've read this week
On topic survivors weren't touched this patch. If you start counting killer buffs as survivor nerfs then you'll have plenty of dissapointing patches
To be fair, any buff to either side inherently nerfs the other sides potential. Not that I agree with the op. They are put of their mind.

@vector said:
"unfun" this is nothing but another excuse
survs talk nonsense about "fun" and "fun chasing" in practice they want only to win and they do everything for it, if you are weak they will complete 3-4 gens in several minutes.
"unfun" i find unfun looking for claudette on a dark ground
Or, and this is just a wild thought. They legitimately want to have fun. Most survivors don't care if they escape. They want to have an enjoyable game.
-
Not really. I don't bother equipping them. And at this point I barely notice if they're on hooks.
-
Thrilling is a better info perk. With the benefit of blocking gens. Realistically if not for the BP gain BBQ would have been completely replaced by Thrilling.
-
@immortalls96 said:
I agree legion is the least fun killer ever added by a country mile but...that's just pathetic imo
I'd say PH is by far the most unfun.
-
It's always been a thing. It's really dumb too. Like you need to get chases. So the best way to get the most chases is if the survivor is healthy. But if they're healthy you lose points. It's like when a survivor hook suicides and you lose points for not unhooking. Or if you can't save safely at end game so you don't try. And lose points for it.

Thank you, really appreciate that.
That's not as definitive as I would've hoped for..."lots of feedback going back to them" doesn't necessarily mean they're acknowledging how badly colorblind players are screwed (as well as the normal playerbase as well, not trying to diminish that)...I'll have to hope I suppose.
I would like a definitive statement that they are at least exploring options for color blind players as well. But I am hopeful that they'll a fix the auras so the game is at least playable albeit more difficult for them.

I've just noticed that LF's addons don't read the same as when I last saw them yesterday. Here's what they were exactly like in patch notes.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/QAP7HS6DGSIW/addon-pass1.png
But now I see this ingame, different effects and I can't find any patch notes about this.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/AF24WX2KDUPX/addon-pass2.png
Did something break or are these the yet another new designs ? And if so were the old/new effects of the primer bulb and the grease completely scrapped ? I kinda enjoyed the fast tantrum even when it was pretty underwhelming, still it would be nice if some common addons kept those effects alive.

It's absolutely awful, agreed. Just...we've been asking for colorblind options since as long as I can remember, this feels like a major slap to the face because it's exactly the opposite of helpful.
As much as I do hate to say it, the fact normal vision people are having a hard time with it make it more likely it'll be changed.
It would such that if that's what it takes to get changes. Peanitis said it's been brought up to the team. So hopefully it will be fixed soon. And with any luck they'll realize something needs to be done for our color blind players.
-
@Peanits said:

We've raised it with the team. It's still too early to say if anything will change on that front at least for this first hotfix, but we've brought back a lot of feedback on the auras. For comparison, these add-on changes were being prepared before the release of the mid-chapter, but they would not have been ready for the initial release.
I really hope they can fix them soon. They're really awful to try to see anything. And pretty much impossible for our color blind players.
-
@LordRegal said:
It's so wonderful to hear how little some people care that something colorblind people literally cannot change has made the game actually unplayable with the new auras.
I'll admit I've jumped the gun on some things before, but this is something I, quite literally, CANNOT adapt to. My eyes can't see all colors correctly, and now the game is using those colors in dim shades. That's an objective limiter for me playing the game as it was intended to be played. I cannot remain silent on this as a result.
I'm not color blind and I can hardly see them. This is really one of the worst mistakes they've made.
-
You're new, so you don't understand the frustration so many feel. When bugs persist for months on end. When it takes literally years for balance changes. When every patch breaks something new. People get fed up. Which is not to say that there aren't unwarranted complaints. But honestly the majority come down to it's been 4 years, fix your damn game already.
-
Fix. I know new content is a separate team. But they badly need to put more resources into fixing the game. New content won't mean a damn thing if the game collapses from the bugs.
-
Literally my only issue with Huntress is the mini fridge she throws in place of a hatchet.
-
@CrowFoxy said:
Even with it's new changes, it will be horrible. Do people not realize there's like...2 pallets that force you to go straight after using them? They're on The Game. Otherwise survivors don't typically just run straight after a drop.
It's still not good. Especially for It's rarity. But at least they got rid of the ridiculous negative.

Addons were updated last night in a small update, some people astound me with how dumb they are.
if you want everything :
Changes for Billy Add-ons from their PTB version:
**__Brown__**
__Heavy Clutch__ : Removed the "Moderately decreases Chainsaw Sprint steering." effect. It only has the upside of "Decreases the Collision Zone during a Chainsaw Sprint."
**__Yellow__**
__Speed Limiter__ : Increase the point bonus from 50% to 100%
**__Green__**
__Mother's Helpers__ : Removed the useless effect. Now "Slightly decreases Chainsaw charge time for 30s after being stunned". Might be useful idk
__Black Grease__ : Old effect : "Increases Flashlight Blindness resistance by reducing their Blinding speed for 10 seconds after being stunned by a Pallet"
New effect : "Moderately increases the Chainsaw's rate of cooling when a flashlight is shining on you". Still bad
**__Red__**
__Lopro Chains__ : Only loses its instadown effect if a pallet was broken within the last 10 seconds. Breaking a pallet still doesn't interrupts your sprinting
__Iridescent Brick__ : Time lowered from 5 to 2 seconds
Wait, they made the Lopro Chains not trash?

1.We will have to see. So yeah, maybe you are right.
2. Oh yes please do that. Once someone finds a workaround for the new encryption it will make a huge impact on survivors.
3. Up for debate. I think IF! The MMR system works like promised, it might increase killer variety since you won't get stomped on less power/viable killers. Just not for the high MMR survivors, they will maybe be eternally be stuck with spirit/Freddy or "toxic" load out killers.
4. Nobody from the survivor side was forced to dodge games once they saw that they had to go against a killer they don't like. But hey not fun things are just not fun, like old sabo crews or the still prominent flash light brigades.
And on a personal side note. How do the devs plan to sort survivors by when killer side gets a character specific mmr?
I didn't really read up on this mmr system so I don't know. Will they still have something like their old ranks or are they also character based. If the it is the second case, survivors will have to be also locked. Otherwise I can pick my unleveled, perkless Dwight and last second switch to P3 blender the with meta perks and flashlight. (Similar problem they try to avoid on killer with the lock)
I don't recall them saying something specific, but I don't imagine there will be separate mmr for individual survivors.
-
Corrupt Intervention will push survivors towards you early. Which will hopefully help you snowball sooner.
Shadow Born for the larger fov is always helpful to counter Nurse's fatigue.
Discordance will show you when two survivors are on a gen. It would also likely help your early game.
-
@Crackgear said:
They secretly put the MMR Skill System so now you are actually playing ranks that are in your skill.
;)
I've actually been wondering about that. I've been trying Billy this past week and expected to get wrecked. But much to my surprise I've piped every time.
-
I don't care for it. I wish it was a banjo theme. Especially if they could have made it slightly unnerving.
