Quite obviously as the others stated. Additionally, opting out of crossplay is AT THE MOMENT also no option because I don't think most of the people will turn it off immediately atleast so short after rank reset, which would lead to insane queue times again with the few other that did turn crossplay off.
I tested that yesterday. Killer que was about 15 seconds witg crossplay on, and about a minute with it off. Survivor was a little longer with if off than on. Maybe 30 seconds to a minute at most. So it seems lots of people did turn it off.

I watched a high rank PS4 killer streamer who opted out of crossplay. He still got instant lobbies.
Yes. But the OP is on Xbox.

You have to do it from the main menu. If you try it from the survivor or killer menu it won't work.

Nope, theres nothing from cross-play that benefits a console player. Wait times are the same for me also, garbage.
They couldnt even give us the chat function, we've to play together but not talk to each other at the start or end of a game.
There's literally no upside to crossplay on console.

- This is subjective - and pending you can at least stay at 30fps, with a controller you shouldn't be at much, if any disadvantage.
- Cheaters exist everywhere - but if you want to be real, after 3500 hours on PC I've only seen one hacker.
- You are at zero disadvantage as a survivor while using a controller. I play survivor exclusively with a controller on PC. It's even easier to 360 on a controller. Mouse and Keyboard killers will seem more powerful than your typical console killer at first, but you CAN adapt. Controller for survivor is not a hindrance.
All I read are excuses. Enjoy your 3 hour queue times.
The que times are virtually identical for survivor with crossplay enabled and disabled. Killer is basically instant though.

It's the height of entitlement to think you deserve faster queues at the expense of someone else's. You can turn it off. There isn't anything else to be said about it, and I hope BHVR ignores the console crybaby crowd openly advocating for segregation from ONE platform.
I must have missed the part where I asked for segregation.

What kinda of console are you using then? I play on ps4 and only have issues in Lerys.
PS4. And the issues compared to PC are very pronounced.

It's stubborn to assume that you would be at a disadvantage without having tried playing with the cross play enabled, and refusing to do that because "PC more powerful than PS4, game unfair"
Have you considered that PCs come in different performances? Even mid-end PCs have framedrops, it's not something that makes the game unplayable against someone who has a better PC, and for sure it is not something that is worth disabling cross-play for in my opinion, but you do you
Mouse And keyboard are just flat out better. Even a lower end PC will out perform a console. So, it's not assuming there will be a disadvantage. It's a fact. And as I said above, add in hackers and I'm good.

Ok, I've seen a couple of your responses on this post and I reckon I have no hope of changing your mind
Hope you don't mind having longer queue times because of your stubborness 🤷♂️
It's stubborn to not want to play at a disadvantage?

People think that everyone who plays on pc is a god, the majority of the killers will feel the same, the only one who will feel a bit different Will be Nurse, Deathslinger mas huntress mas it's not like you will see them every match.
Or they don't want to play against someone with a considerable advantage. Add in the prevalence of hacking on PC and I think it's pretty easy to see why people don't want to deal with this.

Not even going to try and see? It's not like you will be forced to uninstall if you have a bad match
I haven't the slightest interest in playing with PC players.
-
Honestly if I run Kindred it's to help me plan hook saves. I don't run it expecting my team to be smart enough to use the information to save me.
-
Guess I'm not playing for a while.
-
Out of 22 survivors there are 8 survivors that are not Caucasian. While I don't oppose having more by any means. Personally I give the race or gender of a particular survivor very little thought. Why do we need more? And when I say need, I mean why is this a pressing issue?
-
I prefer automatic struggle with a concede button. I feel like it would be more true to the flavor of the game.

I would be so down. What I’m about to say is probably gonna offend someone but I liked the new one more than the original. I didn’t even know they were making another movie lol.
That's not offensive. That's just a matter of taste. Alot of people hated the Rob Zombie ones. I personally like them. The first more so than the second.

1,000% want these as skins.

The size of some maps. And the dead zones you can get are the main balance issues in my mind.

MMR was way worse.

I thought they did just that. It was running in the background for like a month. I guess it wasn't enough data.
I thought it was something like it was running but didn't end up saving the data. At this point it's hard to keep track of why something doesn't work in DbD.

Holy shite, the lack of brain activity with this one.
You are complaining about getting sandbagged (what looked like accidentally, too) whilst planning on keying out for a free escape and robbing the killer of a kill before you even load into the match.
So survivors shouldn't use the items the game gives them?
@Dead_by_Gadfly said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/181538/why-just-why
Because you had a key and sometimes bad things do happen to bad people
Having a key makes you a bad person? Does a Mori make a killer a bad person?

Maps need to be addressed before Pop is ever touched. Maps being addressed would also remedy a lot of what Unbreakable is used for, because a lot of killers tend to slug PURELY for pressure because gen pressure, with certain killers on certain maps is nearly impossible.
You can't rip off the bandaid before fixing the very thing the bandaid was designed to remedy.
Besides - Pop has a direct counter. It's called Repressed Alliance.
I don't agree. While maps definitely need attention. The tweaks the OP suggest are pretty minor, and should be easy to implement. At the same time, especially with the suggested Pop change it could free up space for killers. Making room for potentially more creative builds.
-
Or let people use whatever perks they want and stop complaining about it.
-
So you got greedy and are crying about it? That's what happens when you try to 4 man slug.
-
They do stack yes.

I've never heard an orgasm that sounded like the Doc when he's stunned. That just made him even creepier. Maybe Huntress....but not many others. Trapper sounds like he got punched in the gut. Piggy sounds like the Pillsbury Doughboy got squeezed instead of poked. GF sounds like someone is letting air out of a tire.
Honestly, I'm not sure where you are getting this idea from. Who the heck have you been around when they orgasm? You are watching some sick porn bro. Stop it, get some help. lol
Ngl. That would be a hysterical orgasm sound. As for Jane, yeah she seems to be enjoying the trial a little too much.
Billy's battle cry when he chainsaw sprints honestly sounds like he's letting lose a huge nut.

My first attempt to play DbD was an absolute mess. I had no idea what was going on. They might of had a written tutorial back then. I can't remember now. But they didn't have the small practice one they have now.
I remember trying to play Myers and having no clue how to find people or anything for that matter. I saw scratch marks and had no idea what I was looking at. Suffice to say it was a disaster.
I say all this because the only reason I'm playing now is I started to watch YouTube videos about the game. I used to watch TydeTyme. He helped me understand what the hell was going on in this game.
In the end, you can definitely pickup the game through just playing. But I believe it'll be alot harder.
-
It all depends on how you want to play him. Hit and run Wraith is a popular style. Personally, as far as perks go, I like Save The Best For Last, Pop Bbq, and Nurse's. As far as addons, his Windstorm and Swift Hunt are the best in my opinion.
Ultimately you'll just have to experiment and see what you like best. As a side note, Wraith also has some fun meme builds to play with as well.

I´ve also come up with inaccurate, vague or contradictory information, hence I started this post.
You´re propably right though, if F13 became available today for licensing, the forums propably would have to shut down because of overuse.
If you happen to have Twitter, Larry Zerner is a show business copyright attorney. He's been following the case from the beginning. He's also provided insights and breakdowns into how the case has progressing. If any settlement is reached he'll definitely go into it.
-
Never gave it much thought. I just use the cosmetics that I like.
-
Basekit no. Buffed yes. The cool down even at tier 3 is ridiculous.
-
I would assume there's nothing new to be said. The system isn't working. We all know that. I imagine they're trying to figure out why and can't comment until they do.
-
Never as a killer. I've had more than a few survivors come out of nowhere and scare the ######### out of me when I'm playing survivor though.
-
There are so many I love. But if I have to pick one I'll say Detective's Hunch. It's so incredibly useful.
-
I've died once or twice to a Pig bear trap. Probably had 5 or 6 people die from my traps. My kill (not sacrifice) was from a Pig bear trap.

oh really, i didnt know that. Well thats another problem entirely then.
BhVR has grown alot as a company. Largely because of this games success. The problem as I understand coding is everything is supposed to mesh neatly together. With spaghetti code it doesn't do that. Which is why fixing thing a sometimes breaks thing b.
-
If not all the remaining survivors are in the gate they're waiting in case others need an assist. Otherwise it's 50/50 between giving the killer some last minute points and them being toxic. If they are pointing at the exit they want to give you some final points.
-
What you have to keep in mind is the games origins. It was started by a very small company with extremely limited resources. What does that matter now you ask? The foundation of the game is a kind of unstable spaghetti code. Which means realistically no matter how good the devs are or aren't things will always break with this game. It sucks. But short of a ground up reworking of the entire game nothing can change this.
-
There's nothing wrong with looping. It's literally each side trying to fake the other one out. The problem is you often get a loop with no mind game potential. That's when looping sucks.
-
He's obnoxious. But hardly OP.
-
Chaser and Malicious are weird emblems to be honest. If the survivors heal you lose Malicious points. But if you don't let them heal or use a one shot killer you get less chaser. Both of those emblems need looking at in my opinion.
-
I don't really like how these look. But I'm glad you can at least see them.
-
Deactivating if they touch a gen has been suggested before and I agree with this change. I won't tunnel you right after a hook unless I see you touch a gen.

I honestly don't remember the last time I've seen a very well hidden totem playing both sides. I'm in the camp where I think totems need a rework because I don't think you'd ever get a true balance with them. They're either right in from of you or you never find them, but even then it's only the newer map designs where the totems are in sensible hiding spots.
I've found a ton of extremely well hidden totems using Detective's Hunch. Indoor maps have especially good spots. The swamp maps have some really good ones as well.
-
That's cleary a bad spot. But there are tons of really well hidden ones too.

Your example is purely situational assuming survivors are potatoes. In reality, most are not if you are high rank.
There.
I hate to break it to you. But most high rank survivors are potatoes. Most of the time I can't figure out how they got there.
