I despise Claudette's.
They are either Blendy's or they are super toxic.
Only Survivors I know that have a positive stereotypes are Steve's, cuz they'll take hits.
Speak for yourself. Every Steve I get is either toxic or an idiot.

YAY! It's about time! Think about what this will do to the current gameplay!
Oh, right. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
Not everything has to be a massive shift in current gameplay. Sometimes it's just nice to have people feel like they're cared about too.
-
Agreed. I love it visually. The freezer area for instance looks amazing. But yeah, game play wise it's painful.

This killers versus survivors rhetoric is becoming so tired on the forums. It achieves nothing.
Acknowledging that both sides have issues and addressing them in a constructive way is infinitely more helpful to the developers than accusing them of an implicit bias.
Wow now, that's some radical thinking there. It's proven far more effective to complain about dev bias. That's the kind of feed back that truly makes a difference.

I love Wraith, but Mikey would ######### him up.

lol this is definitely satisfactory thx. I really think that these were great changes. I hope the OP reads this.
Pretty much all these changes were absolutely needed.
To add a few to his list:
Insta heal.
Insta blind.
No entity blocker.
Hooks used to be gone for the entire game if sabotaged.
MoM.
Gen speeds. They used to be 70 seconds.
I'm probably missing some, and honestly these were needed changes. This is why most survivors get annoyed when people like OP complain. They have no idea how much easier the game is for them.
-
Camping Bubba? Yeah, leave. You might be able to pull something off if you have the entire team, but the odds are not in your favor.

It's clearly killer Yui.

I like this idea. New game mode. 4 killers verse 8 survivors. No gens, just a timer. All 4 killers are in a car doing drive-by stabbings.

Its the speed of which someone can self heal that bothers me.
You should not be able to heal yourself in 16 seconds or less, it should at least be 24 seconds at base. Even with sloppy its still an insane speed because it does not account for self heals, it just acts as though another person is healing you.
I take it you weren't around for 12 second healing?

I could. That would be a lie though. Off the top of my head I can't remember having played a Capcom game though.

Here'sa couple of videos of Otzdarva. Hopefully something here will be helpful. I'd recommend checking out him and Oh Tofu. Also Tofu does game play reviews. If you record any games you can always try submitting footage to him. No guarantee he'll review it. But always worth a shot.

Should i have to? i dont want to slug and also it PUNISHES killers for doing so... less points and prob a derank EVEN if you get all 4 by slugging and 1 hooking.. and who is that fun for?
I don't mean going for 4 man slugs. I mean you down someone with a survivor nearby so you leave them slugged and chase the next one. It creates alot of pressure.
-
@seneijashuu said:
At 5 minutes for 5 gens (which happens a decent amount of times at higher rank)
As killer.. you have to hook them 12 times... in 5 mins that averages killers to hit a survivor, chase, hit, pick up, carry and hook them in 25 secs back to back... 25 secs to find one, hit him/her twice, carry them and hook then... in 25 secs or less, for a killer to "win"
.... ?
Do you slug? I'm not asking to be rude. Most killers especially lower tier need to slug for the pressure.
-
That would literally remove mind games. The main reason people dislike Spirit is her main "mind game" is standing still. Meaning the survivor has no info to go off. The red stain is perfect for that reason. It gives survivors something to play off of. It also gives killers something to feed disinformation with.
-
I've seen them twice, so I can't say.

@thrawn3054 I take it you like exploitable and twitchy movement and can't stand change and improvements to the fidelity of the game?
First, it's not an exploit. If it was, they'd have patched it out.
Second those animations were in no way an improvement.
-
I honestly can't tell if you're trolling or just really that much of a baby. The vast majority hated the animations. There's like 7 of you whining about 360's.

Which is false, because the player can still attempt body blocking, flashlight saves, or pallet saves.
And let’s not pretend that PH never hook.
They do. But it's still a silly restriction.

Favorite killer to face is Billy. I loved those close chainsaws.
Least favorite killer to face is probably Clown. His gas is murder on my eyes.
Favorite survivor to face is Dwight's. They're adorable.
Least favorite survivor to face is probably Nea. They're usually obnoxious.

I will say if I see a Claudette with bright cosmetics and such I don’t suspect her of being a Blendette and think she might help
I'll definitely give you the P3 ones usually just hide. Ironically my only prestige character is her, and that was just for the achievements.

I will agree most Steves I see play like jerks but I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Ash mains. They are usually such team players and always have your back and work hard to help their team.
There in lies my point though. We've had two completely different experiences with those to survivors. Neither of with a wrong. Just limited.

I bet if I check your profile there will be discussions about hook camping, insidious, and Bubba lol
Update** I was correct
The only times I can recall mentioning Bubba, other then think he needed a buff was agreeing the like to camp.
I believe I suggested changing how Insidious worked so the killer lost their terror radius after a hook for a bit. In other words making it possibly useful.
As for hook camping am I supposed to pretend it's not just lazy? I've also defended it in the instance of over altruistic survivors and EGC.
So again I'm left to wonder if you're just a troll or really just that lazy.

Can you show an example? I played so much on the new system and didn't have this problem. That said, if it is an issue, it should have been ironed out without scrapping the whole transition system. I play mostly survivor, but just watching killer streams today, survivors have zero visual feedback when changing direction in chase. It looks bad visually, and gives no information to the killer on how to react.
I don't have the ambition to go hunting through YouTube to see if there is footage. Especially since I'm not sure if it was an issue limited to console.

You gotta realize that kind of Claudette is the minority right? Like you do know a lot of people groan when they see a Claudette in their Lobby cause they assume they are just going to hide and wait for hatch. Or get hit once and immediately vanish for minutes to self-heal
Everyone has their own generalizations based on experience. I for instance can't stand seeing Steve or Ash in my lobby. Nea as well for that matter. Why? Because they all play super aggressive but are bad at it. Along with the Nea's that urban everywhere.
Does that mean everyone who plays them is automatically bad? Of course not. We just tend to remember the negative experiences more vividly. Same is true with Claudette's.

Using the excuse that 360's aren't realistic is an awful excuse. Do you think people getting repeatedly mowed down by chainsaws and getting put on meat hooks multiple times is realistic?
I've been amused by these arguments for that exact reason.

Why would they dread being caught? They'll roll their eyes at your sad play style and move on.

Imagine being that entitled that you would rather the game have PS2 movement if it meant you could keep the ability to spin your mouse real fast to make your character spaz on screen so you wouldn't get hit after you got outplayed or were dumb enough to run to a dead zone.
You are obsessed with PS2. Let it go. The new animations were #########. All of about 7 people liked them.

Did you bother to check to video? From my 100 hours since 4.5.0 the transition could appear like you were losing time, when it was actually the same speed as before. Except now it looks worse as you have no feeling of momentum. I have yet to see anyone complaining about the transitions provide evidence of the "pivots" costing time in a chase. Again, the only thing I had any trouble doing movement-wise was 360s.
I'm not talking about side to side movement. I'm referring to when you go from moving straight forward to trying to turn. You pivot and dead stop.

What was so much worse about it? Look at the video I linked in another reply that shows there was zero time lost when changing direction with/without the transitions. I played around 100 hours with 4.5.0 and spins were the only thing I had any problem with.
You would literally stop to pivot. The extra second it cost was brutal.

I understand the point, I just think it's a little egocentric (which I don't mean as an insult - I just mean they're just focusing on their experience). OP is annoyed because they're on cooldown because of something beyond their control, but they're ignoring the fact that their crash probably caused four other people to have a terrible match. If it's a one-off crash, the cooldown is negligible so it's hardly a punishment. If you keep crashing, though, it does make sense for there to be a cooldown so that you don't continue to ruin other people's games by queuing when your game clearly isn't stable. Behaviour should still fix the crash ASAP, but in the meantime it is more harmful to let a person whose game keeps crashing queue than it is to discourage them from queuing with a matchmaking cooldown. It doesn't matter whose fault the crash is; it is what it is. It's all about making the best experience for the player base as a whole.
You don't need to have an unstable game for it to be a problem. If it happens once every couple of hours that will add up fast.

Exactly.
Which is why Corrupt Intervention is so important if you want to prevent these "first chase = 3 gens" situations.
Pretty much. As survivor Corrupt doesn't phase me. I prefer to get the lay of the land, open a chest cleanse a totem first anyway.

I'm sure it is not hard to crash DBD especially if there's an incentive to do it.
Let's assume no one is exploiting this and you just have an unlucky hardware combination that's resulting in crashes, though. Should Behaviour fix the crash? Absolutely. Should you be punished for the crashes in the meantime? Yes. Your teammates and opponent still get their matches ruined when your game crashes. If your game keeps crashing you shouldn't keep queuing. If your game only crashed once, oh well, it's a short cooldown.
You really missed the point here.

The movement was horrible. Your character would actually do a pivot when you would turn the opposite direction quickly which stopped you for what felt like a whole second. That is bad. 1 second in a chase can be the difference between you going down or not. I think the newer players might have liked it but the veterans understood this was wayyyyyy worse than what we use to have. It feels fixed now which I am VERY grateful for. I like to run the killer, I don’t like hiding in bushes so clunky ass movement was complete BS. Now that it’s smooth again here I come killers 😁
That damn pivot killed me multiple times.

That really doesn't change aswell if you stay on the gen. Why can't ppl see that.
Killers are always weakest in the early game. They have no map pressure because they haven't created any yet. Ruin is meant to stabilize the mid game once you create pressure. It can do this very well if your totem stays up.

Are you talking about changing direction left/right at a pallet? Because I don't think there was actually any time lost there. Check out this video comparing old/new side by side for reference. If you mean trying to 360, I definitely encountered some issues with that over the last couple weeks. I was hoping there would be more of a middle ground to allow spins without gutting the new transitions.
Sometimes when I tried to turn left or right my survivor would just stop for a second in place halfway through the turn.
-
People complain about everything in this game.
-
I haven't seen them yet, but hopefully it means I won't dead stop when I try to turn anymore.
