I'm an admitted BP prostitute so always running wglf, never seen anyone else use it, but it actually comes in clutch way more than you would think, I think the only killers that might camp with BBQ are the ones that don't get a bead on anyone when it procs, I hope so anyway.
Unfortunately no. It's very popular with the face camping Bubba crowd.

For a second I thought this was a troll post, but it dovetails into another issue.
It's not the immersion part, it's the borderline holding the game hostage part.
I said it before, and I will say it again: the game needs a hard time limit, at which time the Entity takes out every Survivor like the EGC.
No. You didn't earn those kills you should not be handed them.
-
Don't stress about it. Just play the game for fun. Don't worry about the end result. If you can do that you'll end up playing much better. You'll always do worse if your a bundle of nerves.

You're right, I always run BBQ and wglf because I'm trying to max out every surv and killer, BBQs secondary effect is far more valuable than wglf's; however, both are helpful to survivors, wglf discourages slugging and BBQ discourages camping.
Not really. Unless point farming nobody runs Wglf even now. As a result killers hardly need to worry about it. As for Bbq, it was meant to discourage camping, but honestly I see just as many campers running it.

Like what? You get more uses out of it, when you take Haunted Grounds instead.
Devour. By the time they realize the danger it's too late. That's not even accounting for the fact they still need to break Ruin twice if you run it. Honestly people are so dramatic, but Ruin/Undying is still strong.
-
@Dizzy1096 said:
As always the survivor equivalent (WGLF) is even stronger. Yet it's the killer version which isn't even that good which gets complained about.
It's not stronger. Knowing where to go next is critical for killers. Bbq auras are invaluable. Wglf healing is strong, but entirely dependent on the killer slugging. Which you can't predict or rely on.
-
@Tsulan said:
Undying is trash now and you won't see it anymore.
So be happy about the nerf and the long queues.
It's not trash. They weakened It's only use and add other uses to it.
-
No. It has counters. Use them and quit whining.

If they ever made a second one I'd play it in a heart beat. I always enjoyed it far more than DbD to be honest.

But you first said, "It's not a race issue," and I'm saying it's not solely one. There are many factors at play, and lists like this are a problem and before posting one, a person should have better sense about what they're trying to communicate.
This game has a problem with killers deliberately going after and trolling marginalized community characters (it was recently mentioned a lot before the chapter update with LGBT+ character rumors), and things like this do not help.
It has nothing to do with race or gender. Most of the ones who landed in toxic territory are the most popular survivors. The more you see them, the better chance a toxic one shows up. If you are in a lobby with 3 Claudettes and oneis toxic while the other two are nice who will you remember? Most likely the toxic one as people remember the bad experiences more.
In short, stop trying to make an issue where there is none.
-
Slugging for the 4k is fine. It's when they can't find the other person but leave you slugged that it gets annoying.

No killer should be add-on dependent, what is even the point of playing him if you must use add-ons?
I never said he should be.
-
Dwight, Claudette, Meg, Jack, Jane, Feng, Nancy, Felix, after that I don't care really.
Trapper, Pig, Billy, Wraith, Nurse, Bubba, Oni, Demo.

Not mid, he's arguably the weakest killer in the game.
Without addons maybe. With them he's not bad.
-
No. Firstly his power goes up from multiple survivors, so that wouldn't make sense. Second, he's mid tier, he's fine.
-
I mean it still sucks, just they aren't going to do anything else most likely.

nurse is 4k hungry, sweats, likely to 4 man slug, doesnt waste a second of barbecue and chilli, immediately goes to the nearest gen being worked on, but isnt that toxic (usually)
spirit: hits you on the hook for no reason and stares at you for 3 seconds, nods when they down you, rubs the fact that they mindgamed you in your face, throws the game just to ruin it, call you trash in your steam profile comment section,
overall, nurse sweats more, but spirit is more toxic.
Honestly I get far more sweat from Spirits.

I appreciate all your tips!, Since I am newer to dBd even I myself think that self-care's the best perk possible. I might be wrong I am sorry I don't know much but adding botany knowledge makes you heal faster which to me when I heal myself I feel like it's faster than 33 Seconds and probably is. But it's great how you just explained all this to me I understand alot now. And I'll definitely use your tricks.
Base Self Care takes 32 seconds 24 with Botany.
-
Leader, Botany, Kindred, and Prove Thy Self is a fun combination.

Okay, so I must do the following:
- Assume BBQ is always there.
- Equip a counter perk for that exact perk.
- Hope other random survivors do the same.
Got it.
But I hope it works.
Always assuming there's Bbq is probably a good idea. Perk wise I find Kindred really useful for determining if the killer has Bbq. Unfortunately there's not much you can do about your teammates not catching on.

it is on you then. prove that there is a bug.
should be easy, get a couple friends and go kyf.
until you do, occam's razor apply. they just misstimed.
With this game you can hardly say a bug isn't at least as likely as missing the timing.
At topic I haven't experienced this, of course that doesn't rule out a bug.

Pretty sure they mean not pvp. Like F13 had offline bots to kill as Jason.

wyh do people actually stay in the gate, healthy, waiting to get hit? like... just leave.
If the killer had a rough game and don't play like a jerk I'll try to have them hit me out so they can get a few extra points. Unfortunately alot of survivors are just being jerks.
-
Bro are you actually crying about the Saloon map? Not a safe pallet on the whole map and you're like nah I should DC.

I think 5% would be good. Nothing crazy, but at least worth the time to kick.

I don't know, I've tried it on Spirit and can get some use out of it but overall it just messes me up more than anything so I personally don't run it. It messes with my muscle memory in terms of locating people with sound. Hopefully others can get some use out of it though.
Trust me, if not for the adept I would never run it.

Exactly besides someome that is like two weeks into playing the game, who's playing a mist offering?
Pretty much. I thought about making a thread detailing how I would change it, but I doubt it would matter.

I've taken to couching and lowering my head, then leaving to say thanks. Cant be seen as t-bagging in a bad way then....plus I think it should be clear enough what I did...
That's actually exactly what I do. I crouch give a little bow and leave.

The funny thing is that it has been trimmed down a lot and there's still garbage like the mostly useless Mist, Hook, Luck, and Survivor spawn location Offerings or the 50 and 75% single Category BP Offerings.
Of course instead of removing or buffing these, BHVR decided to add two more to the pile via the nearly pointless Basement offerings.
Exactly, I never understood why they added those let alone keep the other trash.
-
Because you can't trust that the killer won't be a jerk.
-
The entire blood web need to be trimmed down. The amount of garbage in there is unreal.

Could you explain harming the other guy's emblem? Noob question, thanks.
If you make an unsafe rescue your altruism emblem is penalized.
-
In that scenario I blame the other survivor. As killer unless the person got farmed wasn't a jerk I slug them to harm the other guys emblem and run down the idiot who unhooked. It's my way on punishing bad play.

It isn't that good, it's kind of fun when combined with other perks but killers can pretty easily bait it out once they know you have it.
I kinda disagree. It can be a real life saver. It does need to be combined with Q&Q though.

I almost always bring BT so I haven't had people moan that I didn't have it. I have been saved numerous times right in the killer's face by someone without BT. I don't scream at them in end game chat but I ask them
"Why would you save me without BT when the killer was right there?"
"You should have brought DS"
My advice is never assume the survivor has BT or DS. Just don't make an unsafe save ever.
Sometimes the killer doesn't give you a choice really. Either you let them die and eat the negative altruism or you take a shot at getting them out of there. Alot of times letting them die is the smarter play, but it feels so shity you feel the need to try.
-
I feel attacked.
But seriously no. She's fine, she just needs her bugs fixed.

What e_j said. Also any console Nurse especially if they're good.

I mean, they've already screwed the team over anyway by killing themselves. No way anyone's going to win a 3v1 against a proper killer so making the person stay in a little longer is pretty funny, no matter what they do. Even better if the killer won't kill them right away either.
I've had people run up to me after trying to kill themselves and I always slug them and make them wait out a normal game.
It's usually your teammates that cause you to want out. Not really bothered if they have a rough time.

Bullying is an exception though. That has no place anywhere, even in video games.
While I agree with this how do you define bullying? Alot of killers claim to get bullied but other than abusive language after the game how can you actually bully them?

Snack break obviously.

Man if I see someone trying to suicide that 1st hook I haul balls over there and yank them off. They can die if they want but they can do it by giving me another half a gen while they find that killer for hook number 2.
Yeah, no. Mind your own business. In a case like that I would do everything I can to screw you over.
-
Or just let them die. They want out let them. They'll be useless if they don't want to continue that match.
-
I've been getting crouching idiots all day. Finally took off Kindred since there was no point in running it.

What I do with rifts is leave the trickiest ones for last and then let them pop ambiently as I play normal games.
Maybe your next game won't let you pick two people up- but you WILL have a game where you're able to do so naturally at some point. Unless you're really really attached to all 4 specific perks running empathy for a couple of weeks won't hurt you at all.
That Would be great if they didn't block other challenges with this nonsense.

I mean, it does. If more people are now using it to signal that nobody is going for the save, it is what it is. I rarely see anybody using it to warn about the killer camping. 👀
And those who know the actual meaning won't save

And a second one.
