Artist is boring. That's it. Not OP or has no counterplay. She's just boring.
-
I used to despise this map. It's grown on me though it still has issues.
-
I wouldn't say it needs to be always on. A consistent number of 2x bp events would be nice. Like for a week after each mid chapter and chapter releases.

I have miserable games against survivors all the time, but you don't see me asking that we remove fast vaults just because they're fast. Because that's all the killer nerf demands are about in this game. "Blight too fast! Spirit too fast! Wraith too fast! Deathslinger zoom-in too fast! Must nerf!"
And every single survivor nerf killers call for is because they don't enjoy something. That's just how a game with two opposing sides is going to be.
-
No.
-
Slinger 100% needed a nerf. Games against him were miserable. That said they definitely nerfed him too hard.

That's what I mean when we see oute mmr we have evidence to support us when we address the devs about matchmaking or balancing flaws.
Sure people would say stuff like i am diamond so I am right but let's be real that isn't an argument it's like saying I am right because my shirt is green.
I agree it's not a real argument, but we all know it would be exactly what happened.
-
Ruins the game? No. Is incredibly annoying? Yes, absolutely. For whatever it's worth they say it's being looked at. How long before a change is hard to say. It's a hard perk to nerf unless you completely rework it.
-
Two main reasons that I can see. One being MMR's effectiveness when it comes to balanced match making is dubious at best. They most assuredly don't want to give any ammuniton for that argument.
The second being what actual good could come from it? People already claim to be high MMR to make their arguments seem more valid. Every disagreement in this game would come back to my MMR is higher therefore my view is correct. This community is full of toxic little shits. It's best not to give them more ammo.

I mean she still takes infinitely less effort than Blight or Nurse. Sorry, but as much as survivors hate those two characters, they really aren't very pick up and play and master in a game or two.
I'm aware. What i meant was I think it was a combination of Spirit now taking effort and my suspicion that her play style was never actually popular. Blight can be fun for just goofing around and strong if time is put in.
-
She used to be brain dead easy. Now she takes a bit of effort. Add to that I don't think very many people enjoy playing as her, they just liked winning.

Agreed. I'm not interested in the semantics and definitions of tunneling. I think self healing is fine. Having it deactivate if the self healer 100% their own heal makes a lot of sense to me, and they could still find another player to cap it off if it was 99'd.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2900383#Comment_2900383
This is what Parental Guidance does. It's the new teachable from Yoichi. Seven seconds of no scratch marks, blood pools, or grunts of pain after a stun. This includes DS.
My idea is it deactivates once you're healed regardless of how you reach the full heal.

That’s literally your own fault for going down in that situation. It’s not tunneling. It’s the killer finding someone who’s trying to undo their progress again.
No, it's tunneling.

There were other factors besides old toolboxes that lead to old gen rush meta. The gen rush meta was also before Realm Beyond updates so the early Realms like MacMillian and Autohaven had some really strong maps that could waste killers time in chase. (Old Blood Lodge was awful and Old Ironworks was basically an infinite).
You also have to look at perks. Killers had Pop, Ruin, Surge, and Corrupt for gen defense. Corrupt was alright, but didn't stop survivors from finding other gens to do first and then do the blocked gens. Pop and Ruin before required you to be able to get survivors off gens before they were finished (harder with old toolboxes) and Surge was okay on smaller maps while being basically useless on larger ones.
Since then killers have gotten Pain Resonance to damage gens from distance, DMS buff and Dead Lock to stall out gens from getting finished, and map reworks overall lowering the strength of maps for survivors.
I'm aware. Toolboxes were definitely the biggest issue though.

If you are healing, you’re not being tunneled. Or you’re healing and the killer simply found you again, which is not tunneling. You are trying to undo their progress, they are stopping it.
Your point? If you bother me before I can heal you deserve to get DS'd. Also considering I'm advocating that it deactivates once healed it's a lateral move at worst.

I want a pirate. I'd love for them to have a grenado or blunderbuss.

I think healing shouldn’t deactivate DS. I think the nerf was a smidge too much. Doing gens and bones without consequences makes a lot of sense. Healing less so.
Agreed. I think self healing shouldn't deactivate it. In exchange I think it should deactivate once you're fully healed.

@YOURFRIEND said:
I wasn't around back in this supposed no heal meta, but it doesn't sound so bad to me? At least if you catch a survivor in a dead zone or a bad position you can down them.
Trust me, they complained about it alot. Of course this was also back when 80 charges was the minimum for a toolbox. Hell the Commodious could get up to 225 charges.
-
In case another survivor needs help. If we're all there I'll leave. If we're all there and the killer is there I want to try to give them some extra points by letting them hitting me out.
-
Sadly BT is kinda required. DS was nerfed into the ground but still gets used because well tunnelers are gunna tunnel. Until tunneling off the hook becomes less effective/less prevalent these two perks won't be going anywhere.
-
@ThiccBudhha said:
I kind of agree, but also not really. The fact that survivors view handouts as necessary and take them for granted is disgusting. If you get downed by a Leatherface when you had an entire map to work with, not only is it fair that you die for it, but I would say it is well deserved. Git gud, baby survivor.
So you're saying every survivor should be able to take Bubba on a 5 gen run?
-
You'd eliminate any strategic input survivors have.

Not even close. The windows are gone and you can bet the two downstairs pallets is a bug.

Survivor is sooooo easy. My god the whole game is built around survivors. I rarely play as survivor but when I do I play solo and it ain't hard at all.
We weren't talking about difficulty.

That's because survivor is great and OP. Playing Killer is miserable
If you think survivor is great we are playing very different games.
-
The map looks really good. It seems fairly balanced and the ascetic is great.

@Thusly_Boned said:
The correct answer is there is no good reason excusable reason to (intentionally) DC. You queued up, play the game. If that means getting wrecked, so be it.
Hackers, lag switchers, to name a couple. Generally speaking though it's lame.

@GannTM said:
Not making terribly designed maps sounds like a better decision.
Fr, just shrink the giant maps.

@Ath4nat0s said:
They really don't care lmao
They said that they didn't like bandaid fixes like removing perk tiers and they are working in a new system.
But some days ago they just did a bandaid fix like reducing CoH healing speed bonus...
That's not a band aid fix. That's attempting to make the perk less problematic without gutting it.
-
@Shaped said:
They also said they are going to adress the grind in a better way than removing the perk tiers. If I'm remembering correctly.
When is this happening?
Honestly if they would just remove perk tiers and let us sell back unwanted addons/items the grind would basically be gone.
-
@Marc_123 said:
It would still be good without any speed boost.
No it wouldn't. At that point it's selfcare with extra steps and conditions. In other words utter trash.

It needed a change, I would of done it differently but it was needed. DH is being looked at but that doesnt mean it will always get changed (though it should) and yeah the game is an awful map lol
But these are the complaints you listed as killer, they all seem pretty fair and reasonable to me
Those are the most common by far. There's just alot of nastiness on both sides. Killers to seem to be far more toxic on the forums. Of course that's just my observation. It's certainly not exclusive to one side.

rip, feel bad for those that are achievement hunting then hah, hopefully it gets reworked and there is more to it.
There's also like a 3% increased chance of getting higher rarity things in your blood webs. Definitely not worth it.

Tbf COH and DH does need a change, so does the game map...
CoH is getting another nerf. DH is being looked at. The game would be a fair point. Maps in general need work. Mostly shrinking the massive ones.
-
@t0007319 said:
Has anyone prestige a character?
Ive heard you only get clothes for your character from it so it hasn’t really been worth it.
Yes, all you get is a bloody outfit and weapon in the case of killers. I did it for the achievements, otherwise it's 100% not worth it.
-
@BrokenSouI said:
No one ever said "cleanse all 5" wait to see if there's NOED at end game. Then look for it. It's really not that hard.
The constant do bones refrain says otherwise. Noed is another perk that is weak to a 4 man swf, but potentially game changing in solo queue.
-
You're kidding right? While there is plenty of us vs them on here the amount of killer complaint threads absolutely dwarfs survivor ones. Not a day goes by without at least 2 or 3 nerf DH/DH is unfair threads. Same with CoH, maps, and gen speeds.
-
I still am waiting for a pirate.
-
It's definitely got pros. You'd need at least 2 people running it to ensure it being always useful.

Of course those mentioned could be bi, or pan or actually gay/lesbian but at that time in their life unsure etc.
but why only include heterosexuality when there are other relationships and stories to be told?
there is BTW Nurse, Oni, Legions Frank and Julie, David and others that have explicitly stated heterosexual relationships, with Legions being on the edge of way too much info..
I'm by no means against it. I just feel it should happen organically rather than as a box to be checked off.

There are multiple confirmed heterosexual relationships in the lore, tho.
The only one I was aware of was Felix was going to be a father. Even then he could be Bi.
-
Huh, I never had an issue with the hooks on Midwich. Outside of the swamp I almost never have issues reaching a hook.
-
I never have quite understood the issue. There are no confirmed LBGT characters. There aren't any confirmed straight characters either. At least not to my knowledge. It allows alot of freedom to characters.

i hear anything about legion's power having the ability to down and get flashbacks to old legion.
i survived those dark times, and i already know exactly how it's gonna go down in solo queue. i can see it now and im really not excited for it but i dont wanna make any real judgements till i face it on live.
I remember those days. They were pretty awful.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2872029#Comment_2872029
yeah i know and im ngl im not entirely thrilled about it but ig we'll see how that one goes.
but like if you couldnt down someone that was in deep wounds then you could track down survivor 1-2 if they mended, which would lead to a strat of not mending till after leg's cancelled frenzy, which would help game stall quite a bit bc survivors wouldnt be able to do gens for a sec.
I actually like that the 4th person is nearly guaranteed to go down.. It will make a charging Legion actually threatening. I don't think it'll be a big issue for teams that understand they need to split up. Basically Legion will be a noob stomper.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:

You'd be shocked what you can do as current Leg with 2 duration addons and not mother's dwelling as your map
What i mean is after the 4th hit why would you run to another survivor instead of downing the one in front of you? If you're that 4th survivor you're basically guaranteed to go down.
-
@GoodBoyKaru said:

Does it work if the survivor is affected by Deep Wounds? ie. you hit survivor 1, into survivor 2, into survivor 3, into survivor 4, then hit survivor 4 again while they're still in Deep Wounds to insta-down them?
I assume that's basically the only scenario where this will come into play.
