it would still help to bring solos up to the level of swf and learn what to do.
Not really. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink. Also Kindred is incredibly powerful in the hands of those who know how to use it. Too powerful to given for free imo.
-
I don't bother with items more often then not anymore because Franklin's is so popular. Honestly the perk shouldn't exist.
-
I mean it is.
-
BP, tome challenges, and Inner Healing come to mind.

Dead Hard being an on demand third health state is a horrible mechanic that should never have been part of the game, but we’re still dealing with it.
You mean one of the easiest to counter perks. Not really comparable.
-
@RaSavage42 said:
That's good I guess... but why did they need to remove Incapacitated from it though
Like before the perk update it wasn't used as much... all they needed to do was to turn down the Incapacitated status effect
Because it was a horrible mechanic that should never have been part of a perk?
-
No base regression rate should be higher.

So you think it would be better to deal with 3 health states than 1? I suppose the other option is to completely ignore the survivor who has dead hard, but the problem is that it is the most used survivor perk by far, and you'd be hard pressed to find a game where at least 2-3 people aren't running it.
You could try outplaying the dead hard, but that basically puts you in a 50/50. Again, better to just tunnel the person out than deal with a 50/50 lf 3 health states.
It's usually not hard to bait it.

Dead Hard is strong but extremely unfun to go up against, tunneling is strong but extremly unfun to go up against; between a Dead Hard user and a tunneler neither has any ground to call out the other.
If DH wasn't so easy to bait I'd agree.

You misread my post. I didn't say running dead hard means you "deserve to get tunneled" i'm saying, the best counter to dead hard, is actually to tunnel. If you proxy a bit, wait for the unhook, and then immediately hit the person right after they get unhooked, they get deep wounds, yeah they get a speed boost, but now you only need to deal with a 1 health state chase, instead of waiting for them to heal and getting a 3 health state chase.
People always say the same thing when i talk about why survivors get camped too. i'm not saying you deserve it, i'm saying its the best play.
Fair enough though I have to disagree with your conclusion.
Bet games with you are a blast.

Killers are eventually supposed to get downs. The idea that one Survivor should be able to infinitely loop a Killer because of a skill disparity or fortuitous map gens is literally not supported by the game. This is why Bloodlust exists.
And it kicks in so early just because otherwise a relatively small obstacle -> getting hit -> another relatively small obstacle can take a minute even for a 4.6 Killer. Can't mindgame if it can be seen over, can have a power that's useless, dropping chase might be 'smart', but only if you assume nobody else does that.
There are very few areas outside of God pallets where I need bloodlust to get a hit. Even the few instances it happens it's because I'm being out played.

"He was really toxic from the start of the match so killed myself"
Then he didn't tunnel or camp you, because you were on first hook. Then you tried to give up, and the killer wouldn't let you. I do this too if a survivor tries to give up. Its BS, it denies me bloodpoints, it denies their team a chance at winning, and i honestly think it should be bannable.
Better question you should ask yourself. What did you do to get tunneled and camped? Do you run dead hard? Because the best counter to deadhard is to tunnel someone off the hook, hit them, so they get deep wounds, and now instead of dealing with 3 health states, you only have to deal with 1.
Try running perks that discourage the killer from tunneling you, not encouraging it. Run off the record, have your friend run borrowed time, run decisive strike.
Seriously, you run Dead Hard means you deserve to be tunneled now?
-
I suppose because it's a mechanic that can guarantee a down even if the killer plays really poorly. It seems especially ridiculous when you realize a 115% killer hits 130% after 35 seconds. I don't think the entire mechanic needs removed but it could definitely use a look.
-
I hope they do a massive overhaul at some point. There's so much terrible filler in the blood webs.
-
The main purpose is to find bugs. Yes they use it to gage how the community feels about the additions but that was always secondary.
-
Usually whatever role has the bonus is basically instant matches for me.
-
There isn't really anything they can say that will satisfy people. All they can do is make adjustments before it goes live and hope they improve things.
-
They probably just assumed he trapped it like crazy. Alot of Trappers do if they get a basement hook.

i dont think Myers needs changes... EXCEPT to his piece of tombstone, his infinite tier 3 and kill everybody with the full tombstone are kinda fine... as ultra rare and to combine both u need to fully stalk 3 survivors by that point u should have lost the game unless survivors are terrible.
I think you're thinking of Judith's Tombstone. Tombstone Piece is his very rare and pretty easy to use.
-
I don't consider that one problematic.
-
I agree that they over nerfed alot of things but Pop wasn't one of them. It's still solid regression. Personally I'm all for QoL improvements/ meaningful buffs to under utilized perks.
-
@Piruluk said:
Sure but his add-ons must go in that case
His only problematic addon is Tombstone Piece. His basekit desperately needs an update.

@Cassiopeiae said:
I already see it as a useless perk, but considering Self-Care got nerfed when it was already ######### makes me think they might nerf CoH yet again lol.
I wouldn't say it is useless, but it can definitely work against the survivors if they aren't smart about how they use it.
@topic if they change anything having it not stack with medkits would be the best change.
-
@Wexton said:
You really out here complaining about a c tier killer that isn't even hard to face dude?
The strength of the killer rarely matters when it comes to how unenjoyable the games against them are. Most of my most hated killers are pretty weak.
@topic hopefully this will help.
-
That's every game on RPD. Sadly people still don't seem to realize as survivor you need to break the 3 gen asap.
-
Rip
-
All of the perks seem pretty terrible imo.
-
She feels undercooked. Like they had the concept but ran out of time for her details. I said in another thread I give BHVR credit for trying something different it unfortunately didn't come together.

Give me your team and invite me. Otherwise, your generalization of my games doesn't mean much. I remain ready to show you how to play Trapper proper.
Out of curiosity what is the proper way to play Trapper in your opinion? Not throwing shade at you I'm genuinely curious how you play him. I have my preferred style but would be interested in another perspective.

@LuthirFontaine said:
Idk buddy I've seen trapper 4k a bunch in this game. Does he always? No, but still it's not gloom and doom that this forums seems to think.
He's very often feast or famine. I've been playing him recently and he can be alot of fun. I won far more games than I lost. That said when you get those losing games it can be very demoralizing.
@topic If you enjoy M1 killers play them. If you don't then don't play them.

On the flip side, I have been told to kill myself over being a high prestige.
Stuff like that is so ridiculous that it doesn't really affect me, but the sentiment is definitely there in my experience.
Tbf those kind of people will always find something to hate on.
@topic I haven't noticed this myself but I also don't have any high prestige characters. From a killer end I see high prestige and assume it'll be a bit tougher match as they clearly have a fair amount of play time.
-
I mean it's just pretty much how it'll always be. Killer used to have to assume DS/BT/UB and DH were in play until proven otherwise. Survivors used to have to assume Bbq, Ruin, and Pop. Now we go in assuming different perks. Unfortunately a meta will always appear and will need to be played around.
-
So don't buy it. Easiest way to make them look at what they may have done wrong is poor sales.
-
I disagree that they didn't try. I think they were trying to do something really different but it just didn't really come together.

any idea to get it even faster?
Use a purple medkit. Swap the wrap for one of the needles. That'll add ten percent.
-
Not really a solo healing build as he was being buffed by her perks.
-
I was doing just fine earlier without any gen kicking perks. Got my ass handed to me a few times but overall I was winning my games. I played Trapper and a bit of Ghostface.
-
@Blinckx said:
What do you expect ? Other killers are no longer viable or fun to play, thanks to the nerfs for Killers and buff for survivors, they are sitting on bad design and bug waiting for a rework or a tweak that is not going to happen and, as long devs would refuse to listen to killers playerbase, while provide anything to survivors playerbase, this is what you're going to get.
The funniest part is, this is exactly what the survivors asked for with all those cry for nerfs instead of asking a better game mechanic and gameplay. But yeah, have fun to play against only couple of killers ( until they are nerfed into oblivion of course ) , i guess that's healthy for the game ( people are using "healthy" way to much those days )
Bro what? The killer OP got the most was Myers. Hell everytime I play survivor I always get a few Knights. Wesker is probably my second most seen killer.
-
@BlueHorkew said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/365018/new-killer-negativity
Honestly even knight was the same, people just liked him more because of his aesthetics.
Besides him, i mean release legion was pretty bad, but i didn't play at the time so i don't know how bad the reaction was.
Twins with all the bugs and camping, slugging and tunneling was also bad
Trickster was bad to if i recall.
But, yeah this chapter really didn't make the best first impression, it's rough
*shudders at memories of infinite mending Legion* Be very grateful they got rid of that.
@topic She does seem pretty underwhelming. At least from the bit of gameplay I've seen. Concept wise I think it was a cool choice. Well besides the name.

Huh, whenever I check in my game it says meg has 90 and Feng has 72, probably a difference between versions I guess idk.

Still 81 isn't that far off from 102, and with the amount of love Feng has been getting recently I wouldn't be surprised if she passed up meg.
Weird.

You realize that actually proves the point even more right? Lol. She was launched 1 year after the game released yet is still on pace to easily surpass all of the day-one characters AND still taking the spotlight away from other characters that have gone untouched for hundreds of days at a time (confirmed)
Its 2023 and only a week ago they JUST conceded the fact that they were neglecting characters and that they’ll be implementing a new cosmetic strategy. Feng treatment was 100% ridiculous and that’s why they caved to the feedback
I never said other survivors haven't been neglected cosmetics wise (Poor Hadie). All I'm saying is Feng seems to catch hate for cosmetics when the ones who have more than her don't.
-
@Wexton said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3346337#Comment_3346337
Meg is the survivor with he most cosmetics, having 90. Feng has 79, she's 11 cosmetics away from thing meg and 12 away from having the most. Saying feng's "not even close to having the most skins" is practically a lie. Because she's pretty close.
Meg 102. Claudette 89. Nea 86. Dwight 85. Feng 81. She's in 5th place as I said. To me that means she's pretty far off.
-
She's 5th among the survivors.

I think in recent years she has just been getting either the best looking or the most expensive cosmetics whole whole survivors haven’t gotten any.
That's a fair point.

@ButterFlee13 said:
So, it seems like this is the first time, we got hot female killer. Which means another cash cow is born like Feng.
Her cosmetic will be full of cash flow in I predict. Selling like hot cake I guess :)
I dont care how weak she is, I'll buy her!
I don't know why people obsesse over Feng's cosmetics count. She's not even close to having the most.
-
Solo queue is miserable why would I judge them for not wanting to deal with it?
-
No she isn't. They aren't even close in power level.
-
If you think he's weak you are nuts. He's obnoxious and oppressive.

The end of the trailer said "Learn more on Feb 15TH, they said last week there is a PTB "Next Week". If us DBD players could unite and put some braincells together I'm sure we can figure out what this means.
Obviously we can figure out what it means. My point is it would be nice if they'd give us a straight answer when the question comes up.

Just to double check you didn't M1 them while they were caught did you? It only registers if you pick them up out of a trap.
I read that after my last post so I'll try it next time I play Trapper.
