Rather than Self Care in a bottle, it's Botany Knowledge in a bottle. Sucks for the selfish players, likely still meta for SWF. One CoH is worth more than 4 Botany Knowledges.
Shadowstep was always a great boon perk btw.
In no way is it worth 4 BK.

Boons have needed a rework for a while. They’re not well designed and their core design holds back the strength of individual boon perks because they can’t be made any stronger without being overpowered. CoH was busted, it’s getting nerfed down to the strength of the others, so now they’re all just in a really awkward spot.
What are you talking about? It wasn't busted. The only issue it had was stacking with medkits. Once the update hits it will be utter trash tier.

Outside of the green MedKit, they already only increased altruistic speed. Brown, yellow, and purple MedKits will all heal you in 16 seconds (going up to 24 next patch), the only differences being the amount of charges, the exact healing speed, and the skill check zone sizes.
Admittedly, next patch there really won't be much of a difference, but as of current the altruistic heals are all that benefit.
That's what I mean though. There was a point to the rarity as you got more charges. Without that there's no point to ever use higher than a brown medkit.

I'm pretty pissed off about this to be honest. They took the two ways you could play Billy and have fun with him and nerfed them. Seriously ######### BHVR?

Auto-buy will save a lot of ultra-boring time.
CoH, Healing and DH feel they will be more balanced after these changes.
I also appreciate the removal/fix of the beam interaction that was particularly painful for Wraith and Hag (against good players)
I've only glanced at the other changes but nothing feels bad (I'll have to read carefully the Billy changes)
I don't think there was anything about getting rid of map offerings : next time maybe? One can dream.
I may come back for regular matches after these changes are applied.
If by mostly balanced you mean CoH and DH will be consigned to the perk scrap heap pile then yes.

This update is a complete disaster.

Putting holes in the car walls is survivor sided, because the current long car walls make it more difficult to chain tiles together, when the car wall is blocking the survivor from reaching the middle of the map.
Not really. At least on the one side it's pretty barren.
-
As survivor I avoid bringing things like DH and BnP's. I don't tbag or vault spam. I generally just try to play a normal game and not be rude towards the killer.
As killer I don't tunnel or camp. The only exception being if you try to BT body block me. I don't hit on hook aside from one hit to stop the scream, especially since I still get those extra long screams. I just generally try to avoid being toxic or rude.

Myers literally has one of the best addon sets in the game.
Not really. Tombstone Piece is his only addon that would be top tier. All his other addons are either decent to terrible with a couple of good ones sprinkled in.

An Fov slider wouldn't make any sense. Everyone would just set it to the max.

By the rules of hockey I can say the person being tunneled has the skill issue
A fair argument.

If you're bad just say it.

Yeah, it’s a team effort. Add the survivor points up together and you’re vastly out earning the Killer in BP, yet you’re upset you’re earning less? The game is always rewarding survivor side more BP but because you have to share your acting like Killer earns everything lol. He’s working hard by himself to achieve a portion of BP that a survivor team can earn equally even if they get destroyed, seems unfair to me.
Killers should be bumped up to what survivors get to split. Looks nice to say uhhhh, Killer earns so much, he got 32k BP when my team got
- 28k
- 17k
- 12k
- 7k BP.
Oh wait, so Killer got 32k and survivors got 51k BP? Guess we should bump survivors up with more BP to make it fair? Lol okay…
That has to be the dumbest argument I've ever seen. How many points my teammates get is completely irrelevant. Why would it matter to me if they got 10k or 40k? It's not like we share points post game.

This is about Survivor bloodpoint gains and how they are not equivalent to Killer at ALL
Indeed and people chose to not engage with the Killer, you get more points for engaging. Its a choice mate.
If the killer sucks you won't get jack for altruism. The only way to get decent points in objective is to run Prove Thy Self. Unless you escape your survival points will be a joke. Boldness is the only category not in a bad spot.

Surely, it can't take longer to do the math than it does to make a thread about it and wait for a response?
Tbf DbD has always has some wonky math.
@topic my math says a bit over 9 seconds.

In no way is this a nerf, let alone a nerf into the ground.

I've always said that trapper should take the traps from the lockers instead roaming around the map to take all the traps, one of the main reasons why the trapper is so weak is because he have to spend a lot of time taking the traps around the map for using his only power.
Agreed.
-
3 gen only sucks when they refuse to even attempt to chase.
-
While I'd agree he could use a few QoL improvements I think starting with his power is too much.

That doesn’t mean that killers should stop asking for fundamental game issues to be examined.
Pulsar never said they shouldn't. OP's position that the game is incredibly survivor biased is just flat wrong though.

That isn't the argument you think it is.
The fact that Killer is the easiest it ever has been is his point. A point that is just a fact.

Disagree. You know how many survivors will cross over to killer and just play like complete asses? It’s the same people that make posts like this. Nobody is innocent in this game
I never said they were innocent. I'm saying statistically it's going to be more likely killer mains doing this. Just as tbags at the exit gate are more likely going to be done by survivor mains. I expect rude behavior to be more likely from people who only play one side.
-
@Tsulan said:
What makes you think that only killer mains do this?
I'd argue by sheer numbers the majority of those doing this would have to be killer mains.
-
Have to disagree with the chapter being good. I feel the devs are being unfairly drug for it but it's really not good.
-
I believe killer adept in general are bugged.
-
######### cares?
-
They can be incredibly annoying. I'd suggest bringing Left Behind.
-
I mean sure I guess. Typically speaking so few perks are run because another perk does basically what they do but better. Not sure what you can really do short of nerfing the popular perks into the ground. Which ultimately will lead to a new probably even worse meta.
-
To me the only important metric to decide whether a system is good is has it made the game more enjoyable. Has it resulted in matches that at least on average are more fun to play. Overall MMR has failed in that regard. At lead imo. It's not really worse than rank based match making imo but it's definitely not better.
Ultimately it doesn't matter as BHVR seems to be happy with the current system. Though I can't imagine what they like about it.
-
The blob isn't op but christ is it annoying to face. Easily my most hated killer.
-
Then flashlights would be entirely useless.
-
Not much you can to there. You're playing a C tier killer with a okayish build on a rough map against a squad built around gen efficiency. Add to that they appear to be in at least a 3 man swf.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
I’d rather my killers be cheap to kit out than someone like Oni, whose addons aren’t good until green and even then, his purples are an entire league better.
His yellows aren't bad either.
@topic my guess is they wanted to most of the simple power boosting addons be easy to get.
-
I generally prefer to save my charges for when I really need them. However it's going to vary depending on the state of the match.
-
Hopefully not for a while. I'm not opposed to another one happening but it needs to be down the line.
-
I don't mind Wesker but I do get tired of seeing him constantly.
-
As others have stated you have to grab them out of the trap. I had the same issue with mine.
-
The amount of the sky is falling bs in this thread is ridiculous. Eruption was incredibly unhealthy and needed a nerf. I swear everybody seems to forget how much better killer is then it used to be.
-
It's the meta because most people want easy wins rather than improving. That's not to say there aren't still balance issues but more often than not people just take the easiest path.
-
He's not weak and he's incredibly unfun to face.
-
Trapper, Wraith, and Myers along with Pig, Ghostface, and Doctor are my most played killers by far.

Hillbilly was broken, instasaw billy was the most disgusting thing ever in this game.
Deathslinger was extremely oppressive in 1 vs 1
Billy wasn't broken. Crack Billy and Insta saw were his only issues.
Poor Billy was done so dirty. Hell I hate Slinger but he was definitely over nerfed.

With Lightborn, I totally agree. Without, no so much. Usually they have a designated person or 2 cranking gens though. If you lose a hook, it’s a big deal.
You don't need Lightborn. They're usually pretty easy to bait out of hiding.
-
I wish they'd be removed along with a bunch of other useless addons and offerings.
-
Prove Thy Self will make maxing out objective pretty easy but beyond that I'm not sure what else you could use.

To balance out Deep Cleansing.
Isn't that one cleanse 100 hexes?
-
If you want to learn a killer at base I suggest using the bots. They're not perfect by any means but you get a feel for the power and learn it's strengths and limitations.
-
Not really. Sure I have my preferred builds but they don't become unplayable without them.
-
Bro what? Having flashlights in your lobby is awesome. The amount of pressure I get because of those greedy little goblins is amazing.
-
Because alot of them have been. Or at least I'll say that they have so far as we know. There could be massive updates planned for all we know.

swf on chat can already relay that information, the only way to get solos to swf level is to give them access to as many swf advantages as possible otherwise the game will never be balanced in the way bhvr want to balance it.
They will never be able to bring solo even close to 4 man swfs on comms. Truth be told killers in general don't need a bunch of buffs. Lower tier killers need buffs specific to them and maps need shrinking.
