Same thing happened 6.1.0. A lot of survivors don't like their stuff getting nerfed and throw a fit when it does.
Because killers never have a tantrum when their toys get nerfed.
-
It's okay that mean old Dead Hard can't hurt you any more.

I'm very interested by your builds and tactics then. I'm a Sprint-burst/Overcome based survivor and my tactics usually gravitate around quick-escape/ninja. (Hiding next to the killer is my go-to stealth tactic. They see me fly away, expect I'm two blocs away or something and almost never expect I've doubled-back and don't see me.)
I switch up my builds fairly regularly but typically it always has WoO and PtS with the other two perks changing based on my needs. Distortion, Bite the Bullet, Kindred, and Bond are probably my most used ones besides WoO and PtS.

It's hilarious to see a bloodbath but it's also sad so many not able to cope without that perk.
I know they will though, within the next few days.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3403429#Comment_3403429
Possible, yes, but they are so powerful it has to be for a very special build or a specific function in a team.
Not really. I never run them. Never cared for them personally. They're not nearly as important as alot of people believe.
-
Is there an actual point here? Congrats you play in the laziest scummiest way possible.
-
I still have some of the year 3 cakes on some of my survivors.
-
Hard disagree. The majority of maps need to be shrunk down. Most of them are just way too big.

One of the better, new additions to the Killer roster, I main Wesker myself, he's very fun and has a lot of counterplay, I'm sure a lot of people would agree with me (besides it beats playing against Nurse/Blight/Spirit)
He may be fun to play as but I'm certainly sick of seeing him every other game.

I'd like to see you play Wesker.
The only way that he can even be close to an S-tier killer is if you learn how to use his techs, which are almost as hard to master as some of blights. Also, his hitbox isn't huge, just learn how to move left and right. Even though its not as mindless as just clicking space to drop pallet and hold W for prolonged amounts of time, its not actually that hard.
What? He's like the top of A tier. You can't get closer to S tier than he is.
-
I'm sorry but no. Killer has been improved by leaps and bounds. There has never been a larger variety of killers can hang with the vast majority or survivor groups.

My favorite was when you could push the same survivor off the same already progressed gen again and again since they focused (TUNNEL visioned) on it instead of looking for another one not directly in my patrolling area.
It could be argued they keep coming back to it to force you to stick to that area. Thus freeing up their team to work elsewhere uninterrupted.

Tombstone Piece is much easier to get off if you want one out not easy if you want all 4
survivors just petty want the game handed to them like it already is.
It's impossible to kill all 4 with Tombstone Piece.
@Crowman said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3399157#Comment_3399157
How long it takes does not matter. They are not healthy addons for the game. Arguably they weren't healthy when they were released either, but you had things like 3+ Blink Nurse and Omega Blink nurse and old moris that the tombstone piece weren't the biggest issues.
I never said they were or weren't healthy.
-
@Crowman said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3399138#Comment_3399138
It is a broken addon. Being able to bypass all hook states for an instant kill is just not healthy for the game. There's a reason old Moris don't exist anymore.
You do realize how long it takes to get to tier three with both ultra rares right? It takes forever. That's why it isn't broken. Tombstone Piece is much easier to get off.
-
@Crowman said:
It's weird people keep trying to blame survivors for trying to live against a broken addon
It's not broken though? Tombstone Piece is but that's not what the OP is talking about.

You guys just need to get good.
Dredge is a sweetie and a very unique killer. He's also the only one that can turn into a horse. We deserve more lockers!
Or it's just a shity killer. Nightfall is obnoxious. That ######### wailing is the worst thing they ever thought of.

I'm gonna be sad if this means they're eventually going to remove the BP bonus from prove thyself without buffing the amount of BPs you get from repairing gens solo. Survivor BPs are already insultingly low compared to what killers get. Especially considering there is never a bonus anymore. Most categories don't feel THAT bad but the BPs you get for doing gens are way too low. It feels bad to sit on a gen and only get 1500 bps for 90 seconds.
It's basically the only reason I run PtS.
-
@Mandy said:
Whilst we get that you felt it was a nice incentive. The whole point in removing the BP bonuses from perks and addons etc, is to allow players to try other things rather than feeling the need to use those cos of the BP bonuses. With BPs being a lot easier to get now, with things in the bloodweb costing significantly less - there's already many ways to get BPs now.
While I get the idea I didn't feel like I needed to run them. I liked running them because it helped fill out survival point which are pretty slim pickings. Hell that was half the reason I ran a medkit.
-
Yeah I didn't get that move either. If anything it will be easier to get them as there are far more rare items/offerings than ultra rare.
-
Jesus you people are terrified of a perk that isn't even hard to out play.
-
Everything still got nerfed just not as badly.

Jane was the weakest link, she didn't bother healing and kept touching gens while the rest of the team abused CoH on RPD. It's an absolutely disgusting map to play on, it's akin to a herculean task to score a single kill on there.
No it isn't. It can be a bit tough on West wing but East is very killer sided. The only thing making them bullies from what you've said is the chat. Just close it and move on. It sucks some people are jerks but you have an easy work around.
-
Seriously though. We have lots of unused buttons. You'd think they could fix this by now.
-
I think they were worried that with the healing nerf it would be too strong. From a survivor standpoint I can say there were definitely games where it got to be pretty annoying.
-
@Blueberry said:
They hear like a thud sound unfortunately. Kinda defeats the entire point.
Not really. Every killer with a teleporting ability has a tell. Why should Dredge be different.

What would you consider high tier play? Games are typically doing general balance around the top 5-10% of players.
People getting close to the soft cap.
-
That's the risk you take if you go for a specialized build. Just like bringing a healing build and you happen to get Plague as your killer. It sucks but isn't a big deal.
-
@Blueberry said:
The majority of people don’t play dbd at a high level which is where the balance problems come out. This in turn leaves the majority of people voicing balance opinions not actually understanding the games balance.
A second point is one that many already mention but it’s an asymmetrical game which means there will always be vastly more vocal people in favor of one side which can give a very skewed perception of the communities opinion on a change.
If you were having surgery done would you want “everyone’s” opinion on how the surgery should be done to matter? Or would you just want the people experienced and trained in surgery getting an opinion on your surgery? Something to think about as we put the “majorities” opinion into determining balance changes when the majorities doesn’t understand the games balance and many have a bias view point.
Balancing around top tier play is not a good way to balance a game. The entire point to balancing is to make the game as fair and fun as possible for the most people possible. Only looking at high tier play which covers a tiny percentage of players will not achieve that.
@topic While I can see an argument for this I feel the core issue still revolves around BHVR. Specifically their inability to create balanced maps. Maps cause the biggest swing imo.

They can always reverse a patch. Buff previously nerfed perks. It all depends how quick they do it. If its too quick (original Freddy nerf after 1 week) or to slow (Freddy rework after 2 years).
True.

@Blueberry said:

That’s why they should add a debuff while injured, something like 10% slower gens while injured to motivate them to still heal.
So you want to force them into two bad options instead of one.
-
@Blueberry said:
This does the opposite and de-incentivizes tunneling as it encourages the killer to spread pressure.
By this broad of a definition of "increasing tunneling" we could almost say anything increases tunneling. "insert random killer buff" increases tunneling since it's harder to save.
It will most certainly increase tunneling. Healing will be not worth it most of the time. Which means slamming gens is the only reasonable play. Which means gens will go faster. Which means killers will feel the need to tunnel more to increase pressure.
-
How would that be a good idea?
-
She's kinda boring. Just another anti loop killer. Also the constant screeching is awful.
-
This update is dogshit.

Outside of the changes to hags traps and not being able to burn Wraith this mid chapter is an absolute disaster.

"Yes, but seeing the aura only matters if someone comes to you. If they don't it does nothing."
That's why it's a team perk. Literally the whole point. It's also one perk slot instead of all 4 survivors having to run something.
"Swf is the only way to make it an okay perk."
Lol okay perk? This will literally be on every swf group. That isn't an "okay perk", that's a very good perk, otherwise they wouldn't be running it. SWF groups are also a very large portion of matches.
"Even then they're better off just slamming the gens."
The point is how it compares to other healing perks, not if you should just ignore healing altogether. Your argument was that it was a bad healing perk.
To illustrate how good this perk still is they could hypothetically remove the aura reading buff entirely and it would still be ran on all swf groups, that's how good it still is. If you want a selfish healing perk then run a selfish healing perk, but when it comes to team healing this perk is still extremely good.
No, my argument is it was now a bad perk period. Which it absolutely is. It will have use in 4 man swf. Outside of that it has become trash tier.

That is just wrong. They will even see your aura in it. Also what if you don't put it on the complete opposite side of the map so you're already near survivors. You are downplaying how good the perk still is, it's very good.
What about in a swf? This will be ran in almost every swf group.
Yes, but seeing the aura only matters if someone comes to you. If they don't it does nothing. Swf is the only way to make it an okay perk. Even then they're better off just slamming the gens.

I can't get over the fact that he thinks light-burn is a good thing.
If a killer already has counterplay, adding light-burn is just to make that killer suffer. If they have no counterplay besides light-burn, that is ######### design. Ripping the band-aid off by removing light-burn, then adjusting killers based on how they perform is the right choice.
He thought it was good on Nurse and to give Artist actual counterplay other than holding w.

@Blueberry said:

It’s not situational whatsoever. You are all going to be getting injured every single game. That is the polar opposite of situational.
It is only useful if someone follows me into the boon area. The amount of time we'll spend running to it will not be worth using the boon. If you're lucky you might be near enough to it with a teammate to make it worth using. Odds are pretty good you won't be though. Hence why I say situational.
-
@Blueberry said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3380750#Comment_3380750
This is being extremely disingenuous. First of all it is not a BK you have to spend time placing. It takes one perk slot instead of 4 which is huge in itself and it shows all injured survivors in the radius as well. This is way better than BK. It’s a team perk, not a you perk.
Which makes it situational at best.
-
@Blueberry said:
Still a very good perk, just not busted like before. I still imagine we'll seen one CoH in most SWF groups.
In what universe is a BK you spend time placing a good perk? BK post nerf was already pretty weak. CoH will just be an even weaker BK.
