Switching last second is a coward's way to play. These players do it because they want to pull a fast one on the killer. "Oh but when I come in with p3 character and flashlight the killer dodges" yea that's why there is a lobby system. So killers can decide if they want to take the match or not. If a killer doesn't want to play against you they don't have to, doesn't matter why. If you weren't a coward you would keep your gear and join the lobby with it out. If they killer readies up then they accept the circumstances, and likely are prepared to counter it. Survivors that last second switch don't want prepared killers, they want baby killers they can bully. You can rationalize it however you want, but at the end of the day that's what it really is.

Mycroft said:Can people stop putting Hag as high tier, as if her doing something slightly easier now you could do with an add on always makes her good when she can't chase for crap and you can fart and remove her ability.
Hag IS top tier. I play her at rank 1 and almost never get looped
Anecdotal at best. Just because Hag works for your style doesn't make her universally great,
Seriously, everyone here says Nurse and Billy and Huntress cause you get a far better return on the effort you put into them.
The very notion a handful of people say Hag is great is in itself like a niche. Hag is off the charts good for those of you willing to put in all that damn work. I'm not taking anything away from you I'm just saying to more people they can do more with Nurse, Billy and Huntress. Their kits are more accessible, their application serves more purpose.
Hag is definitely top tier. She can use her traps for map pressure, breaking loops, jump scares, screwing up survivors, and distractions. She's a lot harder to use properly compared to Billy, probably even Nurse too, but when you do use her right she is really strong. She has probably the best defensive tactics in the game. I don't think Huntress is as good because she can't keep map pressure or break loops. Huntress has much better offense than Hag for sure, but when you can just run around the shack or pig tree that offense means little. Hag can stop those loops by just putting a trap down. And while she could do that before too, if you didn't have fast trap add-ons you were basically giving up the chase to break a loop. Now you can break the loop and keep the chase going. It is a huge difference if you played her then and now, even though it's a simple change.
-
Hag is definitely top tier after her updates. Nurse is definitely still on top, Billy at base I think it still better than Hag only because he doesn't rely on preplanning and has a built in OHK with bonus movement speed. But when you consider add-ons Hag can surpass Billy (Mint Rag is IMO one of the most powerful add-ons in the game). Huntress is high tier, the only thing that stops her from being top tier are those awful loops, but those were adjusted in the new patch so that change might bump her up to top tier (personally I think her movement speed should be 4.5 m/s, still slower than normal but a tad faster so that it's harder to loop her, she doesn't have movement options like Nurse/Hag/Billy do). Clown is high or top tier, probably just above Huntress. His power is one of the best in a chase since it can break loops.
-
There are no pips at rank 1, so if you depip you go to rank 2 with 4 pips. At rank 1 all you need is a safety pip to keep your rank. IMO there should be 1 pip at rank 1 only because you can have 1 bad game and depip very easily, but to have 2 in a row is way less likely.

Now do it solo using NM.

I have very large and heavy survivors balls from running NM and doing stuff like this:

So I'm not teabagging as much as I am just resting my legs from the immense weight.
It's honestly a detriment to my life. Unless a building has a double door I can't come in 😞

Pink hatchets are fun. They might be devastating to low ranks, but at high ranks people can dodge hatchets too well and they aren't really that good. Babushka/Braid is much better combo at high ranks.
They also kinda of distinguished between the competitive aspects of the game (eg. Nurse) and the "fun" aspects of the game when they made those statements. They weren't saying that it should ALWAYS be fun or ALWAYS be competitive. It's a mix.
-
Why you got a problem with boobies and booties bro?
-
Yes. There is a device called XIM which will let's you use a m/kb on console (but it's not a true m/kb it just emulates a controller input). MS has also partnered with Razor to make the first line of kb/m devices for Xbox by the end of this year. When it launches in the fall, Xbox will be updated to have full native m/kb support.
When that happens I'm going to switch to a mouse for aim on all my games, but keep the controller in my left hand for analog movement. Sorry PC "master race" but WASD is garbage for movement. I play mouse/controller hybrid with Brutal Doom mods and it's the future of shooters. Only reason no one does it now is because everyone that plays with a controller only plays with a controller and everyone that plays with a m/kb only plays with a m/kb. M/kb users never think to even try a controller for something like that, and controller users don't have access to hybrid options (yet).

I don't think it should be a direct 1:1 ratio, I think 1:2 is fair though. 2 seconds of regression = 1 second of progression. That seems reasonable to me, only because it can be really REALLY frustrating as survivor to be doing a gen and constantly have the killer kick it over and over. If they have PGTW a 1:1 would be way too strong IMO.
I also think that a gen should require at least 5 charges of progression to stop the regression effect. This to prevent gen tapping as a means to counter regression. You'd have to actually work on the gen for a short time to keep your progress. They mentioned in the stream that they don't see a problem with a survivor tapping a gen during a chase, and that it's risky and very rare, but they are wrong. It's super easy to do and if done right is a very low risk, but it seriously hurts the killer even if the survivor only tapped the gen. I have done it and had it done to me, as killer it's a little silly a tiny tap can negate your kick entirely.
I also think they should make a deadzone for repairs on the first second, so when you hop on a gen to repair the first second you are repairing nets no progress. This would counter tapping as is done to get around Ruin or other skill check requirements. IMO that's an exploit and people that do it are scrubs.

Freddy can still know where you are unless it's two groups of two: If you are alone he knows where you are, if you are with someone else and the other two are split up he knows you must be in the group of two, if you are with two others he knows you are in the group of three, if everyone is together you must be there. If it's two groups of two he can still move around to see the silhouettes from another angle and tell where you are that way.If you are asleep and someone else wakes you he knows where you are before you wake up, you just go to the survivor doing the wake up animation.
Other survivors can't stop Freddy from instadowning you if he plays it correctly (don't put anyone to sleep before the last gen pops) unless there is a change and you can bodyblock him if you are awake and tank hits for the sleeping obsession.
That's a lot of coordination required that will be extremely difficult to pull off unless it's SWF.
The thing is there are perks that are better/worse on different killers. IMO Dying Light is great on Freddy, because if it procs early enough he can completely lock down the game by just sleeping the last 3 over and over until they mess up enough for him to get a hook. Nurse's Calling is also WAY better on Freddy than most other killers because his lullaby/TR is 24m while NC is 28m, and people ALWAYS try to heal against Freddy. Clouro is also a great perk for him, but awful for Huntress. Sloppy Butcher though is EXCELLENT on Huntress because it procs on hatchets.
You don't need coordination, you just need to play smart. If you are an obsession against Freddy with Rancor then just stay with other survivors and go out of your way to hide when you need to. I've done many things with 3 other solo survivors that look like we were SWF but in reality we were all just good survivors that know what to do.

Problem: This just forces the killer to stand there and wait as the survivor powers generators, since leaving the hatch to go find and him them leaves you with an empty net. You'd still have a hatch standoff, you'd just be having a standoff with yourself. The survivor knows they can't take it, and the killer knows they can't leave.Personally, I would rather see an interaction for the killer to close the hatch, and then a ten second interaction for a survivor to re-open it (resets if you let go). That way it's still an option for the survivor, but the killer has a little more freedom to move around and search for them.
Killers don't need to sit directly on the hatch though. They can bait the survivor to go for the hatch by staying close and then moving in when they see them make a break for it, then it closes and they can catch the survivor. If the killer camps the hatch, the proper thing for the survivor to do is gens. That's what they should be doing right now anyway, but instead most run up and force a stalemate. The stalemate is when both players are on the hatch waiting for the other to move. With my suggestion there is no stalemate, because if the survivor is found the killer wins. Killer forces the survivor to do a gen, at which point there is a bit of cat & mouse play as the killer tries to find the survivor near that gen and the survivor tries to sneak past to get the hatch. If the killer decides to just continuously sit on the hatch, the survivor finishes all the gens and powers the gates, now the killer lost. It solves the standoff by not allowing such a thing to happen. Killer is still in a predicament, and have to make careful decisions about where they go and such, but they have control over the hatch so long as they are near.
What you suggest won't solve the problem of both players sitting on the hatch waiting for the other to move. It also won't balance out the hatch mechanic itself to make it more fun/fair for both players. 10 seconds is almost nothing, if the killer leaves the hatch the survivor can still take it pretty easy. And with that there is no incentive to do gens because you can just open the hatch WAY faster. It's also not something that's fair to survivor, since the killer can STILL camp the hatch and force them to do a gen, then close it again and now they know where the survivor is generally. With my suggestion, as killer you either defend the hatch or look for the survivor. Those are you options, and currently the "defending" part is broken because of the standoff. If both players aren't just sitting on the hatch, there is no standoff. If the survivor is actively doing something to escape and/or the killer is actively trying to kill them, there is no standoff.
Killer shouldn't be able to so easily stop a hatch escape, if the hatch is active that should be a constant concern for the killer. If they can just close it and not worry about it, then it's like why even have the hatch? Really, a lot of killers complain about the hatch when 1) in those games chances are they will pip/double pip whether or not they kill the guy, 2) they don't want to play to avoid the hatch (slugging, etc), and 3) they think hatch is a "free escape" when it's not since survivors need to do at least 2 gens for it to spawn. If I want a 4k I play to avoid hatch, it's that simple and killers just want hand outs IMO.
-
I don't think BW should be a basic ability of killers, it should stay as a perk, but they do need to make the perk better and easier to proc. If someone is on a hook when gates are open it should work, you shouldn't have to wait until they are open to use it.

Such a price would make publishers go bankrupt, because they don't get 40000 per patch; patches are essentially irrelevant in terms of sales. Probably just another publisher whining about how game development is super expensive, even though game-related profits have constantly increased.
1) It did cost this much at the time the article was written. It was a huge point of contention between MS and indie devs for a long time until MS somewhat recently dropped to patch fee completely.
2) Do you have ANY idea how much it costs to make a game nowadays? Here is a chart from a decade ago...
(Here's the link, IDK why the picture is so small https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/vgsales/images/c/c6/Factor_5_dev_costs.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20080705213346)$20 million baseline to make a successful game in 2006. You know what it would cost today? $500 MILLION. Yep. That's the MINIMUM you need to make super high profile games like CoD or Battlefield. MINIMUM. And those games have way bigger budgets than $500 million. "But BVHR isn't EA/Activision, they are a small team with a small game." True, but that doesn't mean it's cheap for them to develop DBD. Chances are the game has costed them 10's of millions by this point, but since they make millions more over that budget (ie. profit) they can afford to continue to develop content for the game (which costs more money BTW). Trust, if the game wasn't making a profit we wouldn't be getting any more content right now.

Here's ya problem...
(Summary: It costs a fortune to push out a console patch)
This can't be for real otherwise all game companys would be broke in no time.
This article is from 2012. This used to be true, but now MS at least doesn't charge companies to update games. They can do it for free. It was a huge deal about a year before the X came out. A lot of companies pushed out updates on Xbox they never released because of the cost.
However, MS still has high standards for certification, which is why it takes so long for stuff to be released on Xbox versus PC. They do this because they don't want your game to fry the user's console. BHVR could release a patch that makes the game crash and burns your video card, and while unlikely, as a PC user you take that risk (and as PC developers they can usually assure themselves you won't be exposed to such a risk in the first place, they aren't as sure for console because that's not their primary development platform). MS doesn't want that stuff to happen to Xbox users, so if your game doesn't work the way they want they don't let you push out the update.

Its still early to tell, but playing against Freddy seems to be about two different playstyles/strategy; remaining in the Dream World rather than woke making Freddy stronger, or remaining awake and exposing yourself to impossible stealth. The point here is that if you suspect Freddy has Rancor (you have PLENTY of notices beforehand), you act accordingly. For example, dont leave Dream World. There you go, perfect counter and the same scenario you will find with this perk on any other killer. If you get caught, it would be 100% your doing anyway, not a "deadly combination". Perks will always work better with certain killers, and always will.
Rancor would hard counter Adrenaline for Freddy, which is IMO the most powerful perk to use against him (SC would be a close second). If you were asleep you wake up, but now you won't see his aura and he might still know where you are. I will love this perk to stop Adren plays.
I can see a few ways to beat it if you are prepared and come up with a plan. Just staying with other players near the end of the game would be a simple counter. If you are all awake, then it's harder to tell which aura to go for and if he follows scratches it could be not you. If you are asleep and they are awake, then just let them wake you up right after the last gen pops so you can see the aura.

^ TitleNote for everyone who hasn't watched the Q&A video: This is NOT a confirmed change. This is just an idea that is floating around. This might not ever happen. Nothing is confirmed.
The idea is interesting but letting him see people who are awake is not a good idea because of Rancor. Once the last generator is completed you can just go for the obsession based on the silhouette and mori them. Even if there are multiples of the same character you can still tell them apart by their hair or the shape of their clothes.
Remember Me has the same problem but to a lesser extent.
So like Class Photo? I play Freddy and I honestly wouldn't like this. I don't think it's necessary, the aura reading point of his power is one of the few things that is just fine the way it is.
The problems he has come from the fact people can just do stuff right in front of you and you can't stop it. This is why I keep saying that when Freddy hits you with sleep it should knock you out of actions for a very short time, like 1-2 seconds, so that survivors treat the transition as a chase and not last 7 seconds of god mode. It'd mean you can stop someone on a gen, on your totem, on the gate, on a heal, on a hook, etc. That alone would immediately make him more of a threat, because he can actually protect stuff now. Of all of it, the most annoying thing to deal with is healing someone in dying. You can down someone and if the team rushes to help the guy up and they aren't already asleep then the guy will get up and you can't stop it. If I could hit them with sleep and force them out of the heal I could pick the guy up and hook him.
As for Rancor I feel like it would be a really good perk for Freddy with Remember Me. Again, this change isn't a good idea, and this combo being OP is one of the reasons why, but from what the game is NOW I'm looking forward to trying Rancor on Freddy.

Name me one reason why you should prefer playing on console over PC. I literally cant think of a single reason and I own a console too. The only reason for my console to exist are console-exclusive titles and tbh I hate that marketing #########
Maybe I don't want to spend over $1000 on a "decent" PC. Maybe I don't want to have to put the ######### together myself and deal with all that nonsense. Maybe I like the social features on Xbox. There are a lot of reasons to play on console. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean that's how it is for everyone.
So it boils down that you dont want to spend enough money for appropiate hardware.
What special social features does xbox have?Funny that you mention performance issuse as a console DBD player

I have never occured any technical issues when playing the big games that are on console too. Of course some indie games might cause some issues, but those arent even release on console ofc
If you like consoles, thats fine, I dont like them, but do me a favour and dont complain about the limitations of a console then

The technical issues I face is more because of the developers and not my console. I have the X, and I can play Gears 4 in 4k HDR at 60 frames with no problems (which is arguably a much more graphically intensive game than DBD). I don't own a 4k TV yet, but the point is that my console could run games just fine. The problem is the devs limit the framerate to 30 fps and the game is no where near optimized, even on PC it's buggy AF with graphical glitches and frame drops (this from watching a lot of YT/streamers). If BHVR would optimize their game on console and give me options to play in 60 fps I totally could.
In fact, DBD is probably the only game that I feel runs like crap on the X compared to how other games perform. Every other game runs significantly better, but not DBD. It's marginal at best, and that's on the devs for not optimizing the game for consoles.
"Don't want to spend the money on appropriate hardware"... First, don't tell me how to spend my money. Maybe I need that money I would have spent on a high grade PC for IDK, rent, food. I have to live you know. Second, I pointed out above my hardware is entirely appropriate, it's the software that's flawed. Like the game should not drop frames as much as it does on the X when it's just running at 30 fps. That's obscene when Gears 4 can run in 4k/60fps flawlessly. This statement is just pure PC elitism here.
BTW using the winky face doesn't make you look like any less of a jack ass.
-
The only problem with this perk is the same problem TOTH has, in that it's pointless to run this perk without other totems.
Also I wasn't aware that if you cleanse one, both will go down. That honestly really hurts the perk, they should both stay active until cleansed.

This is partly why these lobbies should be set up more as a KYF lobby than a normal lobby. Then people can stay in a game together and rotate as the killer, and you have access to everything. Obviously some people would use nothing but the best stuff, so maybe find a way to limit items at least for survivors. Maybe force everyone to go adept and only use the 3 perks for that killer/survivor.
-
NO.
People need to stop suggesting more objectives. They wouldn't fix the game as you think, it would just make high tier games a LITTLE BIT slower while completely ruining the game for any survivor that doesn't play optimally.
What we need is just a limiter on how fast gens can get done. That's it. Not increasing time either, just block multiple gens from being done within X time of each other. Then you won't see 3 gens pop in the first chase, just 1 and the others would be locked from completion for a short time, which adds time for killer. The problem isn't that gens are done too fast or that survivors rush gens, the problem is that you can do 3 gens at once and totally screw the killer.
-
LOL new killer is out for 2 days and immediately she's low tier because people haven't found how to optimize with her yet. Remember when Freddy came out and everyone said he was OP. Yea, this is kinda the same thing.

Nah do HL instead of TOTH. You WANT them to do totems, and if you have Ruin/HL there are 2 anti-gen totems they need to deal with. They need to get lucky twice. They would be doing totems all game, and if you can keep 2 of the 3 primary ones active then you should win, either because gens just take so long or your get DH to proc. Or they do the wrong totems and you get them.

If they make the start of transition block certain actions and fix up his add-ons (remove negative effects, boost yellow/white) he would be in a lot better spot. Make DW not so dark and foggy (this helps survivors too BTW). All done.Egh not really.
I think he needs a secondary power, because of right now his power boils down to being: "Lets you hit Survivors/You need to hit Survivors 3 times instead of 2"
You might as well just play as Hillbilly and never use your chainsaw and you would still be better off than you would be playing as Nightmare.
Not sure what he needs, but what he has definitley is not enough.I think the problem stems from the fact too many killers play Freddy the same way. They sleep someone, then hit them, then down them, then hook them. Rinse repeat. And yeah that works in some ways but you're not making the most of his power. When you sleep someone you don't always have to hit or chase them. Sometimes it's better to watch them, let them waste time waking up. You can see them if they do a gen, so as long as they aren't doing that or having someone wake them up, you don't need to worry about what they do. You have to be able to track multiple people and keep them slept.
The real issues with Freddy come down to 1) not being to stop someone from doing something right in his face as they transition, and 2) the fact half of his add-ons are just worthless or have huge drawbacks while the other half are almost necessary sometimes.
The first is especially annoying when trying to stop an unhook or a heal from dying. If you are not awake and have a medkit you can probably get that guy up before you fall asleep. Only if Freddy has stacked blocks could he stop you. What most people want is just a reduced transition, but you don't need that. You just need for sleep to stop certain things for a time. If I sleep the guy healing and it knocks him out of healing, I can just pick the other guy up and hook him, which is ultimately what I want to do in that situation. Same thing at a totem or the gate, I want to hit them off of it and make them treat transition as the start of a chase, and not ignore me. If I can knock them off those objectives then it would be impossible to finish them while I'm right there, except MAYBE the door and only if it were really close. I could force survivors off gens too, allowing me to kick it and not let them just finish it right in front of me.
I also don't want to have an inventory of worthless add-ons and only use purple and green ones. I don't like using paint brush because it makes you slow and that can really hurt. That downsides doesn't need to exist TBH. None of them do, except maybe 1s extra transition for Class Photo but that's more so you have time to look around as Freddy and less to offset it's power to make it more "fair". White/yellow stuff just needs to be better, flat out. I'd even be for making all his add-ons way more powerful and if they just couldn't stack. Z-Block with a flat 4s reduction would be all you need, and you have freedom to use another add-on.
-
Trapper/Hag shouldn't be able to put traps on the steps, but otherwise basement is fine the way it is TBH.
-
You have like 4 threads about "reworks" that are all literally just giving killers free kills.
Putting a death timer on the survivor just means they die if the killer stands on the hatch. That's kind of dumb.
Letting killer mori on last hook without an offering is also dumb. You can still get away if they pick you up on your last hook. Bodyblocking is a thing and so are flashlights. But if you could just 2 hook and mori everyone then it becomes a bit bogus for survivors. Makes tunneling all that much more effective, and it's already effective enough.
Stop making threads with bias "suggestions".

Strongest and most OP build on Myers is Hex Ruin (Hag), Dying Light (Myers), Play With Your Food (Myers), and Whispers (universal killer perk), with Fragrant Tuft of Hair and Judith's Tombstone. You will need to stalk A LOT but never need to hook anyone. Once you get enough EW to just about get to tier 3, look for the obsession. Chases them 3 times, pop EW, then tombstone them ASAP (tombstone is a standing mori special to Myers). If you kill this person before Ruin goes down, the game will stop because DL+Ruin basically stops gens completely. Use Whispers to find the rest.

Poor console killers^^
It's called XIM. And you aren't really using a m/kb, you plug them into this which emulates a controller using their inputs.
Xbox is getting native m/kb support this year. They are partnered with Razor to make the first 'official' Xbox m/kb's, but you will be able to use any m/kb you want.

Did you gain depression from your horrible teammates?
Did your teammates or the killer every give you the super salt?Sometimes other survivors (we aren't a team BTW) would be really confused why I let the killer take me, not realizing I do it so they can escape. If I died sometimes they would be like "why do you us NM it's so easy to die" and then I would explain to them it's my plan and they just can't understand it. Too many survivors have it ingrained in their minds that the only "winning" in the game as survivor is to escape. I was playing to do 2 gens (for someone to hatch), make 2 saves and 2 heals, and get in a chase as long as I could with the killer. If I did half of that before I died, then I got my safety. If I did it all before I died, I got a pip. That's a win.
Killers were never salty if they killed me. They would acknowledge that I screwed them out of someone else but they wouldn't honestly care that much. One Doc when I escaped and he got no one was upset he didn't kill us, we were doing 360's on him in the corn he really wasn't that great. After that game I decided to make my little rule because that game was quite unfair to that guy. But he got his karma because he got me and 2 others on the very next game where he was a Hag, so it worked out in the end.

Either increase her base movement speed to 4.5 m/s, or increase her vaulting speed significantly. Her problem is with loops, she just can't catch at some or even get LoS. Barn and coal tower are just free escapes for her if you know what you are doing. She can't chase people there or get clean shots because she is slow. Yes she has a projectile but that means squat when you never get a clear shot. Hag and Nurse can both teleport, which makes up for their speed.

I don't understand what Life Balance is supposed to do. So the first person gets hit, then has Endurance and if they get hit while in Endurance, you take the hit? Or do they get the bleed out timer, then if they take a hit while in bleed out then you get hit?no, there is not bleed out timer, you take hit instead of that first Survivor.
Okay, but only when they are already injured correct? That hit places the effect on them, and if they get hit again you drop to injured instead and they just kinda, sponge the hit. Right? I just want to make sure I understand what it does.

No, scared survivors rush gens whenever they can. Survivors that don't feel super scared will waste time doing stuff because they feel confident they can escape. Most true obsession players will pester you all game or follow you while you chase someone else. They have DS, they are confident they can escape a hook, so they don't rush the game. If you ignore them too much they might to force you to chase them, but otherwise I think that you don't always want survivors to be afraid of you as killer. Sometimes you want them to lower their guard, and then you get a big opening and take it, THEN they are scared but not in a position to gen rush.
-
Or maybe when he sees them if he swings his weapon they can swing at you and hit you. They look at you anyway, and if the survivor runs towards to to get rid of it they might get hit, and if not you just whiff at them and it scares them it might really be you.

Agreed. There does need to be more end game perks for killer. I've been putting on Blood Warden as my end game for killers.
If there was a perk that would only allow killer to close an exit gate, even just once, that would be quite powerful. Maybe it could also let a killer close the hatch.

The only time I get annoyed when I play bad is when the survivors gloat about escaping at the end of a game. I had a game as Freddy against a 3 man that brought a map and toolbox. I came in with Ruin, Nurses, MYC, CP, and class photo/z block. The guy with the map was AWFUL and got caught really fast twice. I got hooks on everyone, but when my Ruin was gone and 2 gens were done I went and killed him since he never healed. I just took my time and kept sleeping people, hitting them sometimes, and if I got hooks I would walk away (bc awake or asleep I will find the MYC guy, if I find either of you at the hook I find both of you). But I played nice after I killed the guy, and 2 got out because of it (at least 1 was his friend and took his map with her which is smart).
This dude was so salty about me "tunneling" him and how I held the game hostage by keeping everyone asleep all game. Like, I'm Freddy I put you to sleep. I have Class Photo I find 1 of your I find all of you, and yes I will walk around and put you all to sleep until I get a hit. If you wake up I will come over and put you to sleep again. If you want to do a gen someone has to get chased, and no one wanted to take a chase. And I won't chase you if you don't drop a pallet or run right to a loop. I could have easily killed his team too but I played nice because I don't care to kill every survivor every game. It's survivors like him that make me not want to play nice as killer.
The next 2 games, I kept my add-ons, brought DL/PWYF/Ruin/BW with a pink mori. No one escaped either game, not even close to escaping. Sorry those guys 😢

If i use no mither its for extra challange and to survive with it if i can. Not to intentionally die though. Not saying you can't do that, just saying if you do it with NM you are missing out on some of the reaons to use the perk.
If you play to survive and the killer just catches you in a normal chase, you die. So any time the killer finds you alone, or sees you while chasing a healthy survivor they WILL COME FOR YOU. You are the easy target, and you will go down easy. You can use DH to basically take a hit but that still doesn't stop the killer for coming after you when they see you. If you go down like this, killer ALWAYS takes your hook. They never slug you and you never get to use your NM.
But if you play to die, then you know to just do as much chase as you can until the killer catches you, and you know they will likely not want to chase you if they think they can get someone else. That means if you are near someone and they take a HIT you are basically free to do anything you want even right next to the killer. Even take a hit for the guy he is chasing. If they killer REALLY wants this guy they will ignore you, and if they hit you down and really want the guy they might slug you. If it's the obsession and the killer is in a position to waste their DS or get a hook they will REALLY want the guy. You can bodyblock the killer somewhere and not move, forcing them to lose BL and the obsession. Killer will get flustered you are stopping them and hit you, and almost definitely take your hook (but obsession keeps their DS and their hooks). If you time it right, they will swing at the obsession and hit you, which does the same thing but now killer feels like they have to keep chasing the obsession and when they do, NM can get up. I've been finding ways to get at least 1 guaranteed slug per game by taking hits like this when I know the killer really wants someone else. And because I play to die I can take that risk because it's my goal. Like I said, as long as I am alive long enough in a trial I can easily pip because I rush gens and hooks with my Resil/BT.
I'm like a timer for the killer. If they are chasing someone they know I'm on a gen or doing their totem. If someone has been hanging on a hook for a little while, they know I'm running straight to them from somewhere on the map. I can make dive plays that basically force the killer to kill me at the cost of letting everyone else escape. Just imagine if a killer's first 3 hooks were supposed to be on each other player, but instead of them killer got me 3 times. Now only 1 gen is left, they have 1 guy dead but everyone still has 3 hooks and a DS might still be in play. That's a loss for the killer, win for my team, and win for me as I've usually pipped by this point in the game.
Here's another clip: http://xboxclips.com/thesuicidefox/c715e081-3acf-4b10-ab52-b1f4909eb51f
Basically she chased me and had a chance to down the guy on the hook. She took it, but I slipped away and stayed close enough in case she had BBQ. Then I was trying to get into position when she hit the guy, so I try to get closer to the hook while slugged, I was going to 99 myself then stand up at the hook to avoid the trap, but then this happened. This would have been game over for any other survivor group, but NM guy can get up. Yea you could use Unbreakable, but that only let's you be a NM guy once, then it's gone. If I had just UB here I wouldn't have gone for that last save like I did. But as NM guy with BT/Resil I can make that save before she places a trap and save the obsession. Now truth be told that girl was not a good obsession. She got caught shortly after I was unhooked and died. I helped on the last 2 gens and died, not sure if both others got out but I'm pretty sure at least one got out. Had the obsession been a better play she wouldn't have gotten caught like that and the 3 of them would have gotten out, but that's her mistake not mine. Everyone has 3 chances in the game, and as NM guy playing to die I give my 3 away to other players. If they still mess up they die, but I can give them another chance to make those mistakes, my chance.
