Oh sorry, I meant if you were afk partway through or for the whole match.
They need to discover you before they can realise you're afk, and frequently they'll start the game on a gen.
Good point, I see what you mean.
-
You could use it to get more add-ons for killers you enjoy playing, or if you're like me and don't play with add-ons much then you could start a collection.
For example I'm working on seeing how many Alchemist Rings I can collect on Blight before the end of the year, my current goal is 200 and I'm about 30 or so off.

Survivors do actually stop doing gens and they'll walk around trying to get as many other points as they can lmao
If they do then I'm yet to see it happen cuz usually if I miss the first minute or so of a match that's usually a gen or two gone
-
Hm, I'm definitely a better killer than survivor but my killer knowledge would probably help me against myself, like knowing all my tricks and stuff and how to play around them. I'd most likely end up winning as killer though.
-
He's pretty widely considered as around mid-high B Tier, he does have decent anti-loop but compared to someone like Pyramid who can get a hit pretty fast, it just takes too long bc he gets slowed down so you just keep going round and round until eventually you get a hit.
Tbf he also has some really good tracking with hallucinations and static blast.
-
God I wish it worked like that, there's so many notoriously toxic survivors in my region that I'd love to never play against again.
-
Lethal is beautifully efficient on killers with mobility like Blight, it's so good for immediately putting survivors under pressure and slowing early game gen progress.
Also it shows you afk survivors to get out of the way quickly.
Hey, if the killer went afk then survivors ain't gonna stop doing gens, why should I not hook a survivor if they go afk?

A shapeshifter that could momentarily mimic the appearance of survivors
I think bhvr said they would never make a shapeshifter type killer, which sucks but its nice to imagine what that would be like

I never see him anymore but he hardly even got nerfed. He's much more fair now and is still an absolute MONSTER in chase if you can aim, so what's the problem? He's actually kind of fun(?) to go against now. Please more of him instead of huntress haha 🙏
Why don't you play Deathslinger for a change then?
And if you don't want to play him, then how can you expect anyone else to want to play an unfun killer because you want to play against them?
-
I'm not sure exactly what they're talking about but I'm guessing it's Circle of Healing, Twins are one of the killers who are particularly hurt by the disgusting healing ability it gives survivors since Twins strive on keeping survivors injured and sluggable.
-
If you were to use your rushes solely for traversal then I guess it's not the worst thing in the world but really that's its only use, if you put it on you're basically locking away the ability to use it in a chase because unless you have some ungodly bump logic skill, it most likely won't work very well.
So yeah, apart from traversal, it is actually a pretty sizable detriment, more than the placebo tablet imo

I'd ignore it. A Survivor up there isn't doing squat. One less Survivor on gens.
For the time being atleast, once you leave them then they just get back on gens, and if you come back then they'll just go back up there.

If it's fake, then Scott Jund just did a 20 minute video for nothing because he literally read the entire patch notes word for word.
Scott was the one that MADE the patch notes, he literally says "wow its almost like I wrote this" in the middle of it

It's amazing how bhvr has made the same mistake when nerfing a killer basically 3 times in a row now.
They have nerfed Pyramid Head, Twins and Deathslinger all in such a way that it doesn't really affect their performance, it just makes them feel more like ######### to play.

Thanks for your reply! So which sens do you use on console? 100?
Yup, but even at 100 it won't let me catch people who simply turn left and right in the open, that's just how it be playing controller Blight.
-
As a console blight I can't say anything about DPI but I know that it has no effect on hug techs and surfs.
I'd imagine that anything high enough to quickly 90 degree flick and hit someone out in the open who tries to spin you would be all you need, but take my words with a handful of salt bc I have basically 0 zero experience on mouse and keyboard
-
Body is 1 character too short.
-
Answering the question, if they removed Blight, I'd probably just move back to Pyramid Head.
But realistically, I'd most likely just drop dead by daylight entirely, Blight's the only thing keeping me hooked to this trainwreck.
-
I fully hope they never touch Blight again, I believe he's in a perfectly fine spot (excluding stuff like lag flicks which should not exist), learning what you will and won't slide off and using it to your advantage is actually really fun and part of learning to be a better Blight.
But I get what you mean, the weird collision boxes are mostly on the old maps like Red Forest and Backwater and will hopefully be fixed when they're updated.
Badham and Yamaoka are still a little stinky because they're the oldest updated maps, I doubt those will ever be polished.
-
I think I've legitimately not gotten anything but Coldwind, Badham, and Autohaven on Blight for my last 12 or so games.
-
The MMR system only looks at how many kills you got and how long the match went for, so yes you can just go afk to lower your mmr.
But that's boring as hell for everyone involved and equivalent to smurfing, I can't stop you but ya know, maybe don't afk degrade your mmr and just play at whatever your skill level is.
-
You guys don't get it! We need threads like this so that people think Blight sucks, so BHVR doesn't touch him again! This is exactly what we need to save Blight from the Deathslinger treatment!

Cheryl.
Cute.

thats basically what im saying yeah what would you do to change that or would you just change ruin?
I'd give it a small cooldown between procs on individual gens, say it can only proc on the same gen every 15 seconds? 20?
I'd hate to make it an underwhelming perk on its own but honestly I'd rather it didn't have such gross synergy so maybe 20.
-
I've mained Blight since the patch that made him viable on console, but I'll never forget my roots as a Pyramid main, and I'll never forget how good it feels to down someone through a wall
-
Oh thank god I thought I was the only one
But seriously, it's probably just another bug, I'd say it'll be fixed by the time the new chapter rolls out
-
On its own its a perfectly fine perk, its just the crazy synergy it has with Ruin that makes it a problem.
-
It's harder for the game to find other people in your mmr range at late hours so it just kinda puts you against anyone.
-
Pyramid Head, deadest addon set in the game, bar none
-
Overcome is the very definition of boring, mindless and unhealthy "gameplay".
-
love how bhvr can't even make compensation without bugs, I opened it up and got the bare minimum of 100k, and with millions of BP invested in Blight I've never even looked at a Hawkins offering let alone used one so I feel like maybe I'm supposed to get just a little more?
-
just run Botany Knowledge, Desperate Measures, Circle of Healing and Self-Care 12head
-
Dead by Daylight is the only game in the 5 years I've had my PS4 that has ever made it overheat and force itself to turn off, its happened about 6 times now.
Infact once it was so bad that it corrupted my entire PS4 and forced me to factory reset it, thank god for PS Plus's cloud data storage otherwise I would have lost 5 years worth of data because of this game.

So the only thing separating console blight from pc blight is the sensitivity?
Yup that's about it
-
It's about the same, there's alot of hits out in the open that would be very easy to hit for a pc player with the frames and dpi to immediately flick whichever way the survivor wants to try to spin them, but it's alot harder on console where you can't turn hard enough to catch them fast enough.
Certain loops with sharp enough turns are basically impossible on console whereas a pc player might be able to flick hard enough for it.
So yeah, apart from just sensitivity issues, there's not a whole lot separating pc and console blight

Honestly I think one strong killer is more than enough for this game. We don’t need Nurse AND Blight, so yeah I see no issues with removing tech.
that's a wonderful idea! wouldn't it be great that high mmr survivor is restricted to waiting 10+ minutes to only get matched against Nurse and only Nurse with zero variety?
-
Pyramid Head and Blight, knowing all the little tricks a killer can try to pull in a chase makes it not quite easy but alot more fun.
-
@CaulDrohn said:
Every other kills gets a single Rush at the start and everytime they hook a survivor. But the rush takes priority over any killer power. so be aware of that. E.g. you frist use your rush before you can playce a trap with Trapper. And so on ...
Yeah ik how it works normally, was just wondering about the "unknown effects" part of it
-
I still play him every now and then but sadly I don't think I can still call myself a Pyramid main since I've been hooked on Blight since they console buffed him in May.
Blight's incredible strength and unmatched fun factor was a big part of why I left Pyramid but it's also to do with how just... not good Pyramid felt, they made him so sluggish with the nerf and the Rites of Judgement audio sync bug was kind of the nail in coffin.
-
Right now I've been finding some success with Undying Retribution on Blight, my other two perks being Shadowborn and some other perk for fun like Third Seal or Infectious.
-
Recently my Blight build has been looking like this:
Shadowborn, bc I'm addicted
Undying, seeing auras when people are on totems is actually useful now since people are actively looking for totems
Retribution, having them oblivious while I'm sprinting at mach speed towards them is perfect
And a random fourth perk for fun, I've been trying Fearmonger (new names :/) and maybe it's good?? I dunno its one of those perks where you really can't tell if you're getting value or not but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
-
Shadowborn, took a big break when Pinhead was released and FOV perks broke because I can't play Blight without it anymore.
-
As a survivor, nope.
As a Blight main, GOD no.
-
I'm pretty excited about the changes. Granted I'm sure it'll come with its fair share of new bugs but what's a dbd patch without bugs am I right?
The changes are all pretty good for the most part, it's just boons that I'm worried about but BHVR literally cannot release them in their current state without directly contradicting stuff they said about hexes with the Undying nerf, so I'm hopeful that they'll balance boon totems on release.
-
Let's goooo new Sluzzy post!!!!!
-
"First, the hatch will no longer spawn if there’s more than one Survivors in the trial."
Firstly, why would the last survivor even 99 the hatch.
Secondly, who cares? if there's only one survivor left then clearly you've already won, so what does it matter if the last one gets out by hatch? just means you get to move on quicker

Yeah maybe. I’m mainly curious if Blood Favor even does trigger off a Bloody Coil play.
I feel like it wouldn't trigger off an add-on, but if it does then that could open up some interesting opportunities on other perks too
-
I see what you mean and I like the idea, but I don't think it would actually happen often enough to justify the perk slot.
-
This is literally all I would ever ask for from BHVR, the only thing holding me back from being as best I can with Controller Blight is not being able to flick as hard as M+K players.
