I really like that they're making more perks that activate on special attacks as well as basic attacks, can't wait to try out Third Seal builds on Blight
-
I would actually love that
-
I usually have atleast 1 unpopular perk on my 3 mains.
Pyramid Head:
Brutal Strength, helps deal with pre-dropping which is one of his best counters
Blight:
Shadowborn, I was miserable between the pinhead release and the bugfix because I could not play Blight without the increased FOV
Twins:
Mindbreaker, counters the sprint burst megheads who try to run to a pallet when Victor shows up
-
Happens on PS4 as well, not sure about Xbox but I'd assume it happens there too
-
It's definitely not as bad as before for me atleast, Dead Hard is still about as laggy as before and also killers with power bars like Michael and Pyramid Head seems to be fairly laggy, and anything that applies status effects like Sloppy or Haunted Grounds
-
This is pre-5.1.0 btw, Nemesis goes between Bubba and Doc.
It's a pretty standard tier list now that I think about it.
-
Just had someone tell me I was the best Pyramid Head they've ever played against :)

powers with a charge bar have MASSIVE performance drops, such as oni, plague, pyramid head, etc. The only exception I know of is billy.
So ya pyramid feels awful to play.
awesome, I haven't really played any power bar killers since the mid chapter so thanks for letting me know.

Right, at first I wasn't gonna talk about Blight because I know some people use it to their advantage but it still hinders some Blight players. On top of the bugs, the pounce cooldown nerf still makes using Victor unfun.
very true, the nerf really pushed me away from playing them as much as I used to because it barely affected performance and just made them unfun, how is punishing the killer for successfully using their power a good design choice?
-
I've seen clips of The Twins recently and all the bugs have put me off playing them for a while
But Blight I think is fine, just knowing what objects are slippery and learning how to use them to your advantage can be a huge help, all the reworked maps (except Yamaoka and Badham) have slippery shacks and you can do some crazy stuff on them
-
Never again will I return to playing Blight without Shadowborn.

As a survivor, I was moried by a P3 Huntress on Lery's about a month after her release. I had no idea what a mori was and was VERY confused on what just happened. Thought it was apart of her power
As killer I was Hag on Lery's and moried the person in the basement, game crashed after that game ended and my progress was reset :)
My first mori was as Hag on Léry's too!
-
Rn I'm running Ruin/Pop, STBFL and Brutal Strength, it's done me pretty damn well so far
-
I've dubbed Deathslinger: Clint Eastwood
-
I doubt it means anything but it's nice to hope
-
Been mainly a Pyramid Head main since he dropped, I dabble in a bit of everybody every now and then except Hag, Huntress and Freddy
But half the games I've played in the last month have been Blight since they made him playable on console and oh my god is he one of the most fun killers in the game, makes me feel like I'm cheating on Pyramid Head

True, but POTD moves too slowly to be effective against good survivors without animation lock, so I honestly barely consider him a ranged killer.
Also true, but tbf there's plenty of situations where punishment can get you hits outside of animation locks even against more seasoned players
Choke points are an obvious one but my favourite ones to hit are when you analyse the survivor to see whether they double back after rounding corners to avoid punishment through the wall, attacking at the corner and watching them walk right back into it
It doesn't work all the time obviously, but that's why I enjoy Pyramid Head so much, playing him ambitiously and unpredictably and watching unexpected plays working out is one of the most gratifying things in the game for me, Nemesis can't do things like that and unfortunately, that really sinks his fun factor for me
-
This reminds me of that one thread a few months back about poor console optimization that blew up then the devs took it down for some bullshit reason
I'm really glad to see this topic getting alot of attention again
-
@MadLordJack said:
Because Nemesis is way more fun, has better built-in info and acts as a short-range Deathslinger with a much quicker cooldown than any other ranged killer.
Actually Pyramid's cooldown is very slightly faster, Punishment is 2.25 and Tentacle Strike is 2.5
It's not much but I mean, maybe that quarter second could be what turns a chase around, ya never know

My bad
Should be fixed now, thanks btw

I've recently given up on caring about winning or losing, I've started to run Corrupt as my only gen slow with my 3 other perks being something fun like Infectious, STBFL, M&A etc.
If I get gen rushed, whatever, atleast the game will be over quickly, I played as best I could and as long as I had fun, it's fine
-
As long as I have fun :)

Sprint Burst/Dead Hard - they're the best exhaustion perks in the game, you gotta pick atleast one, usually I go with sprint burst because dead hard can be really inconsistent and buggy.
Open Handed - This'll make sense in just a moment.
Kindred - If you're playing solo you cannot possibly play without Kindred, Open Handed boosts the range to 32m which is insane.
Windows of Opportunity - helps you plan out a chase while working on a gen, or reveals options while in the midst of a chase, Open Handed boosts the range to 36m.
-
I've been hearing alot about Hillbilly's animations just recently, anyone care to tell me the issue with the animations? cuz I personally haven't really seen anything particularly wrong with them
-
I'm hoping Counterforce will end up being a For The People/Soul Guard situation where initially it seems like a really scary perk but then it actually comes out and you barely see anyone running it
-
this tier list is oddly visually satisfying
-
It didn't make a big impact on how strong they are really, the main problem is that they just feel worse to play
honestly you'd be surprised at how many people just decide to not kick Victor after you down someone so you pretty much just lose 2 extra seconds chasing them than before, and considering how fast Victor is, that really doesn't make a big difference
-
Huh, I had no idea people hated his daily so much, maybe it's just that I play alot of Pyramid Head so I just eventually finish it without realising it
-
I'm still hoping for Candyman one day
I watched all three movies last year, when everybody was saying chapter 16 would be Candyman, and I loved them
I was very pleasantly surprised to see it was Pyramid Head instead but still, I hope we can get Robitaille one day
-
Really they could do anything they want to for their power, Pyramid Head in Silent Hill 2 had very little to him gameplay-wise. His great knife was big, incredibly damaging and cumbersome. If he wanted, he could switch to his spear and move faster but hit less hard, and that was about it.
As you can see, they were able to come up with an interesting and original power for him, so I hope they're capable of doing the same for whoever they've chosen from Resident Evil too
-
Blight, Pyramid Head, Ghostface and Mikey.
Blight is just by design fun to go against
Ghostface and Michael always give me a good scare
And as for Pyramid, knowing all of his tricks and exactly how he plays means I know how to read my opponent like a book, dodging Punishments left and right makes for a real thrilling chase.
-
Cheryl
What other survivor can say that they've killed God with a shotgun?
Also she's cute
-
Information is your best friend in solo queue
I find the best solo queue build to be Kindred (obviously) and Windows of Opportunity (know whether or not your teammates have dropped the pallet that you're running to already so you don't walk into a deathtrap) plus Open-Handed, the added 16m aura reading makes a big difference
4th perk slot is up to you, usually an exhaustion perk
-
Myers 100%
It's disrespectful how underpowered Michael f**king Myers is, he's essentially just a weaker version of Oni
-
Surveillance, it was immensely stronger back when it would keep completely empty gens highlighted white
Ruin, Discordance and Old Surveillance was the ultimate gen information combo
-
Fractured Cowshed
Long wall jungle gyms connected to shack window shouldn't be allowed to just be a thing that happens

Pig has high kill rates. So i dont think she will get buff.
The only reason she has a high kill rate is because the only people who use her are actually good at her, if we're going off the statistics that bhvr gave us then we should buff nerf nurse since she had the lowest kill rate, right?
-
Is this "M2 Tech" just the thing where you M1 immediately from Rites of Judgement or is this something else I haven't heard about before?
-
I use max sensitivity on everything
-
Killer (Pyramid Head): Ruin, Haunted Grounds, BBQ, Tinkerer
Survivor: Lithe, Open Handed, Windows of Opportunity, Kindred
-
1st. Pyramid Head LIVE/PTB, Blight, Deathslinger, Clown
2nd. Twins, Oni
3rd. Michael
4th. Billy, Demo
5th. Doctor, Trickster
-
- Nurses
- Billies (Billys? Billi?)
- Blights
- Pyramid Heads (who don't exclusively use their power at pallets and windows)
- Low-Tier Mains
- Off-Meta Perk Users
-
Cheryl.
Because she's cute as #########.
-
Blight without a doubt has the highest skill ceiling in the game
Nurse is very difficult to learn but after that there's not a whole lot left to actually master
Pyramid Head requires mechanical skill like Huntress and Deathslinger, but you also need to read your target and understand how they behave in chase to predict how they run tiles to get hits through walls
-
I don't think they should ever bring it back, it's called legacy for a reason
-
Most:
For the Killers
1. Pyramid Head, literal peak male performance
2. Susie, definitely the most sane and human female killer so obv
3. Ghostface, the film Ghostfaces tend to be pretty damn attractive (except maybe Mrs. Loomis), so if Danny is anything like them he must also be atleast somewhat of a hottie
For the Survivors
1. Cheryl, If we're talkin Silent Hill 3 Cheryl then 100% she beats out second place by a mile, I'd say the dbd model is still first but by alot less
2. Felix, need I say more?
3. For 3rd I'm kinda stuck between Zarina and Elodie
Least:
For the killers
1. Hag, honestly who else could possibly take this spot?
2. Freddy, atleast the movie appearance had charm, the 2010 remake just sucks
3. Hillbilly, he may not be very attractive but he's still lovable
For the Survivors
1. Quentin, same story as Hag
2. Meg, something about her really throws me off, maybe it's that constant, unchanging ######### expression she always has
3. Nea, BHVR really needs to update the older character models
-
Not much to say about this
Michael's design is too iconic to be any less than top 3
I think Ghostface's default dbd design is my least favourite of all his appearances, movie design is the best, then the tv series, then this one
I'm really hoping they rejuvenate the og trio soon like they did Nurse, god knows they need it
-
This strat will also work on Trickster once he comes out, BHVR seriously needs to do something about it, makes Huntress borderline unplayable.
