Boil Over helps the killer. Just crab walk and watch what happens.
-
Why was the PTB pulled so early?
-
Base survivor running speed is 4.0 meters per second.
With Sprint Burst, that's 6.0 meters per second for a duration of 3 seconds.
Default killer speed is 4.6 meters per second, or 4.4 for slower killers like Hag or Huntress.

It's so bad. They straight up don't have a power when a survivor is injured. As a survivor, I'll usually run towards them if I'm injured and they're in frenzy so I can get a free sprint burst or cause them to stun themselves.
Yeh, I mean, in theory you can bodyblock for a teammate when you get stabbed for the first time.
Remember when pulling people out of lockers during Feral Frenzy was considered a "bug"?
LOL!
-
Because for your power to be bad, you need to have one in the first place.
Oof.
Good one.
-
I'm finding that each killer seems to have those specific "useless" add-ons that almost no one uses.
Leatherface is unique in that only his charge-reduction addons are the only viable things you can really run on him.
I can't really think of any other killer that has such a severely limited menu selection.
And no, his movement speed increasing addons are bad because increased charged time isn't good enough to compensate for the increased movement speed, in my opinion at least.
Even his status effect addons are garbage since BHVR nerfed it so that status effects durations cannot stack upon one another.
-
I forget, but didn't the old Kate voice sound like a balloon if you let the air escape while stretching out the balloon's stem?
Really squeaky. xD
-
Sigh
I remember this happening to me a month or two back with Leatherface on Thompson House. I got stuck inside the tree/pallet right outside the Killer Shack that spawns in the corner.
I was pallet stunned during the chainsaw rush. Found I couldn't move at all.
Felt bad man.

I'm not all that serious about the no mither thing either. The rest of the build is fine though.
In all seriousness, Adrenaline/DS + Iron Will + DH + Spine chill is probably the best build against the top tier Killers
YES!!!
Iron Will is vastly underrated.
Sure, it's useless against Doctor, but against Spirit/Nurse/Hillbilly it's AMAZING. <3

Yes you're right, she's good. Let's not change it. There's no reason to change her. Perfectly balanced, as all things should be. If someone don't think that way, he should just GIT GUD.
The strongest of killers requires the strongest of wills.

Crotus is fine imo its just the loop in the middle building that needs to be looked at. But temple, mount ormund and yamokas are the biggest offenders imo. The corn maps wouldnt be as much of a problem of the corn wasnt so obnoxiously tall which makes killers approaching gens a nightmare to track survivours. Red forest is big but i mever found it to be impossible to pressure or navigate unlike the previously mentioned maps.
Yeah, those three need some tweaking. Mother's Dwelling too. They need the same map treatment Pale Rose had.
All my complaints about corn maps could go away if they just made the corn itself more color neutral or make them move about more like swamp reeds. Ever since they updated the engine to the latest version of Unreal, BHVR never bothered to do anything about the corn.
It's a major pain in the butt to see anything dark through the corn even if it's moving. You're better off just changing the graphics to lowest settings possible on those maps.
If someone's running full speed through the corn, it should at least have the plant movement exaggerated somewhat more than it currently looks (swamp reeds are fine for example, they work as intended). There's a reason why Rotten Fields has the highest rate of survivor escapes (last BHVR posted statistics anyways from my recollection).

Can we at least agree that MoM as it currently is does not need the aura downside?
Assuming nothing else were changed at the moment, sure. That's fine.
It'd be kinda lulzy if there was some activatable survivor perk that makes you go into dying state for a few seconds in exchange for something good. Sounds stupid, but it would be a funny meme perk. It'd let you bypass the downside of the aura reading.
-
@Entità said:
MoM should activate with 3 safe unhooks, instead of 3 (bugged) protection hits.
Eh. I'd rather not. A perk that has such a powerful effect needs to be telegraphed somewhat. It's not in a good place at the moment though, I agree with that sentiment though.
-
They are working on fixing and expanding how protection hits work. All will be well.
That being said, I do think as for right now, it was kinda an unnecessary nerf for a perk that's now essentially more telegraphed than Freddy's teleport to only work when you're injured as opposed to both healthy AND injured.

On red ranks the gates are powered within the first 3-4 minutes. Survivors that know how to keep you busy for 5 gens and that power through ruin.
On rank 20 to 15 you can't literally depip. On red ranks you could get 4 kills + max bloodpoints and still only safety pip.
Red ranks (I think ranks 1-3?) You literally have to max out every category to double pip. Even if you destroy the survivors under 3 minutes, you're going to get punished.
I mean, come on. If you stomp on a team, it gives you a black pip. That's basically the system saying "oops lol I guess I didn't weigh the skill of both teams correctly. This match doesn't count, my bad!"
It's incredibly insulting.
-
It's more prevalent on the survivor side, can we agree on that?
A couple of weeks ago, I played like a whole weekend of survivor, and I only encountered like one salty, trash-talking killer.
Toxic people, on survivor side at least, seem to enjoy playing together, as opposed to solos who are just happy to ruin other people's days.
Also, when a survivor is obviously a solo and obviously toxic, it's pretty rare that I see anyone on the survivor side call them out on it.

Word, also depends on the build and rank you play in but definitely mostly don't heal.
Yep. It's also ironic that Temple of Purgation (Plague's own home map) is one of the ones she's the most TERRIBLE to play on. :P
-
Unless you're running a stall build, good survivors don't use fountains, period.
-
I had a match vs a billy yesterday with a few friends. He did not have bbq, still always, and i mean always knew the exact position of all players.
As others have mentioned, yes, it might just be a statistical fluke.
If you've been playing long enough, you kinda memorize/get a strong intuition on where survivors are going to head next after a generator.
That and you kinda learn where survivors spawn at the start of the game.
That being said, yeah... It's possible they were wall hacking. It would however require them to be using some variation of hack that's never been seen before and logged, so that being said, it's unlikely... But definitely not impossible.
-
Nurse is in her own tier practically.
Debatable whether she's SS or just S.
-
He's good, but not quite great (a la Nurse, Spirit, Hillbilly). You'll have to work hard for a 2k, let alone more than that. You have to have very good fundamentals: Know when to abandon a chase, which generators to defend, and when to start creating a deadzone with no pallets.
He's map dependent. Like most killers, he's not going to shine on large maps.
He can ignore exhaustion perks with an addon, which makes him amazing and unique in that regard (Doctor's Very Rare Addon equivalent "Obedience" isn't nearly as good). My standard addon build for him is Flask of Bleach + Solvent Jug. It's very, very rare you'll ever see a match that doesn't have at least two survivors running an exhaustion perk. Basically, assuming they all use Adrenaline, sometimes means you only have to play against two survivor perks until endgame as Clown!
The best time to use his ability is when neither you or the survivor are moving and you are sizing each other up as to what the other is going to do next. Do this, plus whenever you have enough time, always zone off an escape route to prevent a survivor from choosing a more optimal route to run through.
TL;DR Clown is about 'deny, deny, deny' play style.
-
Play With Your Food is really good on Wraith for the same reason.
-
Yeah. I'm taking a break as well. I only hop back on after patches.
-
Doctor.
You can run…
But you can't hide.
Also, I agree with other poster.
Aside from Freddy, Doctor's probably one of the most likely to torture you to death... For science!
And by torture, I mean perform unnecessary, excruciating medical procedures such as vivisection, unanesthetized lobotomies, etc.,
*Shudders with fear*
-
Legion's beyond awful on maps like Temple of Purgation.
If survivors all do solo generators on a large map, you're going to be lucky if you 2k.
Legion should have more penalties on using his ability, but it ramps up speed and other perks for each hit given during Feral Frenzy.
It's a nonlethal ability right now anyways.
-
No.

Because as bugged, it's a better dead hard. No injury requirement, further ground covered.
SB should be more of a first sudden burst. Like taking off at a race. To get a head start.
Eh.
Unless we're talking about Sheltered Woods...
I find Lithe overtakes Sprint Burst in most situations.

PERFECT.

Toolboxes aren't toxic.
A four-person SWF switching to tricked-out toolboxes right before match starts arguably is toxic though, however.

Trapper's base setup time is abysmal. He needs a minor buff to his trap setting speed at the very least
I can agree with Leatherface needing only minor QoL changes though.
Trapper has literally only two addon setups:
1) Bag + Bag
2) Both Ultra Rares
Any other combination is just garbage awful. The only reason the double ultra-rare addon combo even works is because they together offset the downsides of not starting and carrying as many traps.
-
Trapper needs less wonky trap placement. Also ability to re-arm traps without having to pick them up again... That's so annoying I can't believe it's still in the game.
Starts with more traps (not necessarily carry more at once, after placing them).
Fix the trap hitbox. It's not fun at all having to place them diagonally.

I've seen you and a few others mentioning Doctor. Personally, I think Doctor is in a decent state at the moment. My only problem with him is that he seems to be the worst killer in causing a drop of frame rate on all sides. His power to destroy stealthy survivors is definitely one that shouldn't be touched on him. That's kind of the reason why he can be viable at times. If anything, he just needs some minor QoL changes (mode switching speed, increase to his base shock range, etc.). Besides that, maybe fixing the moving skillchecks and the decreased frame rates that he causes are his only problems (for survivors to deal with).
That feel when random skill check lags out AND it's on a random part of the screen.
Makes a survivor just wanna jump on a hook.
-
That feel when the real killer is that regional ISP monopolies exist and continue to exist.
=(
-
For me, it's more annoying having to do a little dance as survivor to heal a teammate or perform an action near something else that's interactable.

Best of luck to you, because the PTB just ended. 😃
Wait, what?
If anything, I thought this patch needed more QA time. BHVR thinks they've collected enough data?
-
It's going to be relegated to strictly meme-perk status. At least that's better than buggy-or-useless-perk status though.
-
I think the only buff it should receive is that you can click on the skill check wheel at ANY point in time and have it considered a great success.
You can of course opt to just not click and fail though. Maybe you want to create a diversion or escape the dream world (lol not with new Freddy at least).

@JoyfulLeader said:
Oh yeah, and Freddy's Mori is definitely a reference to Freddy VS Jason. In the film, Freddy's death is pretty much the same as the mori
Actually, I think it's more directly a kill from the 2010 remake of NOES.
One of the teenagers goes to the boiler room for the first time and gets doughnut'd.

You know what I mean, you're a killer, you just waited 7 minutes for your lobby then bang...
Springwood.
Mandela effect.

When there are a million threads about this, what gave you the impression that your thread is so special that it needs to be Number 1.000.001?
There's really no need to be rude like that, even if it's to point out an argument ad nauseum.
-
I mean, at the very least, we need to:
Make it so that killers that have no terror radius CANNOT have their aura revealed.
It would still let Premonition and Spine Chill work though.
-
@TAG said:
Honestly, I'd rather the nerf simply be undone and the EGC timer simply pause while someone is wearing an RBT thing.
I mean, that's reasonable, but I imagine from a coding perspective that might not be entirely easy as there's nothing else in the game that pauses the EGC timer.
We only have mechanisms that "slow" the EGC timer, which means they'd have to program a way to actually "pause" it.

don't get to invested in new freddy just like ghost face he will be nerfed soon and will be back to where he was pre rework making 2+ years of work on reworking him useless because they will just nerf him to F tier again due to their rank 20 survivor test team for balance
Why does everyone say that Ghostface got nerfed into the abyss?
Unless I'm missing something, the only real kinda meh thing was breaking NS on pallet stun, but then again, every other killer loses their power on pallet stun.
-
PGTW and BBQ have Freddy's name written all over them.
Thankfully, I already have every perk maxed out on my P3 Freddy :D

Having better addons to crouch faster and ambush faster would be great too :)
Agreed. Pig, in general, needs an addon rework.
-
I also considered buffing Pig's crouch movement speed when gates are powered from 92% (its current value) to 96.25% (Nurse's running speed), but I think it would be too powerful, and there wouldn't be much incentive to NOT just stay crouched until you found someone to tunnel to death.

Paint Thinner is going to be rare.
Chains is going to be very rare.
