Kate, David, Jane, and Ace are porn stars. I don't care what their lore says.

I actually think BHVR should encourage more loadouts that synergize well. I'd even like them to give bloodpoint bonuses to try something different, just to get people to stop using the meta and make games more interesting. I wouldn't run the build you mentioned, but I would for conditional BP bonuses.
-
10 minutes. I make the bulk of my BP in this time and would rather just move on. Ask me a couple years ago and I might have said 15, but these days I'd rather just make my BP and bounce.

Yes you can, you just need to do it from the main menu before you select whether to play killer or survivor.
Thanks dude.

You might never see them again.
You should just turn crossplay off and on for whatever mood you're in.
Can't opt out on PC.. at least not yet.

I've gleaned from other threads that the game has been free or included with other things on other platforms. This makes sense. Given the ridiculous BP grind, cash shop, battle pass, DLC, etc. This is effectively an F2P business model, I don't know why the base game isn't free.
Not following you. What does this have to do with killers making up for way less than 4:1 ratio. If anything, players should be playing killers more because you earn BP faster based on your comments about the BP grind.
-
Well it's evident now that the survivor base is pretty damn big on console. This change has affected my solo queue times as well. It takes 3-4 minutes now. I queue in with killer in seconds and that's the best it's been in a long time. I really do miss getting into a lobby with familiar names tho. I haven't run into any in the last 2 nights.
-
Hacking on the PC is so rare it's a non-issue. I've come across less than 10 in well over 15,000 games. If you think someone's hacking, most likely, they didn't.
-
I'd buy cosmetics of long sleeve shirts with a tree branch pattern running down the arm.

I'm pretty sure it was not a bug that it's been removed, but something that was fixed when they added the overheat mechanic. I always considered that a gray-area exploit.

What I find ironic is Scott Jund and some other high rank streamers were complaining prior to the matchmaking going live that it would mean that if you were "top 1%" or whatever you would only be facing super sweaty survivors all the time and be paired against only top killers like Spirit and Freddy and top Nurses.
Instead I'm pretty sure what the system does is look at something like the average of the survivor's ratings to assign a rating for their team and pair that up with a killer of similar rating. So a low-to-mid-rated killer might go against a high rated survivor plus three low rated survivors, for instance. If I'm right about that then you could easily have someone like Otz teamed up with a bunch of low rated survivors going against a mid-rated killer; basically the newer players are "Otz's matchmaking handicap" in a sense.
And that's fine, assuming the matches they get overall are still reasonable and the queue times are short.
They're right, if the MMR system is good. You're going to get the sweatiest of the bunch at the top because that's how a proper MMR system works.
The only reason why MMR here is bad is because they implemented this new system to an established base of very good players and MMR has to start somewhere. Expect to see these type of matches for a while until it works itself out.. at least it should if BHVR did it well enough.
-
I'd like there to be an in-between. Within 25 or 30 meters, I really like the look of them. Further than that and they're bad.
-
GREEK LEGENDS...
Starring Feng Min and Rin Yamaoka. Hahahahaha.
History, 2020 style. Gotta love it.
-
It might be a video memory problem. I started noticing this after cosmetics were put in. I especially get a hiccup when there's excessive fog in play. This is on my work laptop where it's getting kind of dated; my home desktop is fine except for the occasional memory leak or whatever that makes me restart after a few hours.

I don't mind bots as long as they have a Steam profile I can -rep them on.

I hear you. I'm a solo player and there are definitely some issues here and there.
So overall, how happy would YOU be if the game added a overall time limit per match? Say... Make it 20 or 30 mins. Long enough to build suspense but prevents survivors from doing nothing but hiding? This seems like it woild be a quick fix.
I like the idea of a time limit. I hate games that go on longer than 20 minutes because it's just not worth it by then. I usually make most of my points in 10 minutes.
-
Chase music being louder than survivor is usually normal. Survivors not making sounds on the ground or when injured, or even breathing, is a bug.
-
They shouldn't release stats unless they specify what the stats mean to THEM and what they plan on doing about it. Leaving it up for speculation is a bad move.

Us vets? I have 5000 hours, OoO isn’t anything new to me. The point is that no matter how many times I circled the map I could never catch up to this survivor, so a result the endgame collapse had to kill him. I couldn’t even get my 4th BBQ stack to make matters worse.
Yeah. OoO is not usually an issue for me because I usually catch up to them sooner or later. OoO on this map, however, is... something else.
-
I played a few games with him, but regardless of the buff, he's still a boring killer to play as. I'm not a fan of his power.

At least Killers have a choice to decide they will go farm with survivors or not.
Thanks to Devs, just image they want its harder to get crown as Killers. They could make Killers get 4K to have crown. Then good luck to survivors seeing Mori every single match.
This would totally happen. I know I'd be guilty of doing it with killers that I hate playing.
-
This is what's great about limiting lore in characters. You can make them out to be whatever you want.
-
The only thing I would change about BT is the way it stacks in a SWF and also... maybe hide the timer.
-
What platform is this? PC here, and it seems like a normal day except for 2 games where the killer let us farm.. which doesn't happen all that happen with red rank killers. I know I don't do it.
Keep trying, and save your BPS for when you know your teammates are good.
-
All my survivors are running WGLF, Prove Thyself, Inner Strength and Dead Hard. Farming BP as well and it's working out for me. Halfway through already.
-
I had green ranks attacking gens just as fast when I was doing PH adept at rank 1. So, I don't think you should base team skill on how fast the gens went in that one game. If that's the case, I go against and play with those types all the time.. even though I know the outcome would be different if other teammates got chased first. But an *all-solo* squad where I know at least 2 others are good, and they know what to do in all situations? Maybe like 1 in 10... if that.

I dunno why, but I find Freddy to be the easiest to do this with. I can commonly pull full 32k BP games with him, while I struggle to even hit 25k with anyone else.
I don't even think about hitting 32k because getting that number means it's gonna be a long game-- 20+ minutes long. I like my games short when I'm grinding, and I can get 25k in 10 minutes with Billy.

He also addresses the tunneling-problem at the end, and according to him (due to the Cage Location being predictable) he does not know any other option than to make Hook Perks work.
Sadly it shows how most DBD-Killers play when you give them a tool to allow tunneling... Spawning the Cage full Map away is not enough, as Survivor you really need ot be lucky that another Survivor is nearby.
Yeah. Tunneling with PH really is that simple and I get a lot of hate for that when I do it. It's very effective though. As survivor, I've been trying to be more aware of where the tormented is being chased/downed and trying to guess at where the cage will spawn to get a good jumpstart. That works fairly well as long as we still have a full team.

I'm a survivor main...
I see...
-
Since you main killer, use whichever one makes you the most BP with and farm bloodwebs. I wouldn't ######### myself over by using fresh characters to earn BP when others do the job better. Even if you want to play survivor, just use your main.
-
I just hope the devs aren't taking any type of killer-based efficiency data to make any serious adjustments with these sound bugs in play.

Okay, but what is the main reason? Profit or supporting?
Support is a good spin on something they can profit from. There was definitely a business decision in all of this and the climate was right, is all.

To be honest, this is a great idea. This may open new killers stories for the reason they kill.
I like the idea, but I think people would take it way too seriously.

Dwight can be coerced to do what his girlfriend wants.
David will fight with himself in the closet until death.
Kate changes based on who screwed her over last, and she writes songs about them too.
Something is very wrong with Jeff.
Zarina does not like sex.
Everyone else is straight.
-
Maybe it's your platform. I'm on PC and even in off hours, I don't usually wait more than 5 minutes to get into a game, as killer or survivor.
-
Speaking for my friends and I, it's purely for fun. It's like working on the gen at shack with another survivor, throwing the pallet, then tbagging for no other reason than to ######### around.
-
If you consider just base kit, he is not A-tier. You start adding in add-ons though, especially with a good map and he becomes very strong, but then that's true with most other killers too.
-
I can see where this is considered griefing but whether BHVR sees it as that is up to them. If not that, you can definitely report him for being AFK and not playing the game. That's under unsportsmanlike conduct. Gave me a good chuckle tho.
-
Ideally, I'd like notifications turned off. I don't need to be reminded that I gained 1 tier. If there's a popup, it should be very brief (1-2 seconds).
And really, I don't think notifications should show up at all right after the match ends. I don't know how many times I meant to say something in chat but accidentally clicked the wrong button and get dumped to character select.
-
Limiting the amount of perks based on how many people in the SWF is a bad idea because some just want to play normally, with a very average or experimental loadout, but with friends. There are bullshit perks that are really strong when stacked with others in the same group. Limit the way those stack instead.
-
This is an issue with virtually all Unreal Engine games. Hacks can be patched out and sometimes easily detectable so I doubt any smart person would jeopardize their real account-- free to play weekends can be a pain in the ass tho.

I knew id get split opinions on this.
It's because you're not defining it enough. You can have a competitive casual game. Some streamers take "competitive" literally while others mean e-sports.
This game is definitely not e-sports ready. The fact that you can get to rank one, perkless, while losing a lot of matches along the way because of factors out of your control is proof enough. You can have skill in this game, but sometimes it just doesn't matter.
-
Players already have additional objectives. They're masquerading as challenges in the Rift.
Adding objectives on top of challenges wouldn't be good, especially for solo survivors.
-
@ALostPuppy said:
Mori-able on death hook is legit the only thing they need to do to the ebony and ivory moris. Only killable in basement could be a cool idea for a perk. Maybe monstrous shrine. Maybe if you down a survivor while they're in the basement you can kill them by your hand? (Downing them and then taking them to the basement doesn't count.)
That would be a funny buff for Monstrous Shrine. Actually might be a strong perk for meme builds. I know I"d use it.

Slow down gen repairs by 3/4/5% depending on the number of players in the SWF.
Good survivors control the pace of the game-- and they spread it all out by looting, cleansing #########, doing dailies & challenges, and ######### around on top of hills with their flashlight. Increasing gen times will just make them do gens faster and will really only punish average SWF players by making it more challenging for them, when in reality, those types are no better than a group of randoms. Slowing gen repairs is not the answer.
-
@VikingWilson said:
I just don't have the patience for these SWFs anymore. I just don't. You can argue all you want, but we all know map-wide comms is OP.
We can't hardly get into a chase, let alone hook, without gens popping off. Frankly, I'm discouraged to keep playing the game.
A good solo group will crush a killer just as badly as a SWF trying hard. The issue is *not* SWF.
Most of my games are against or with SWF, but so what. I lose when playing with SWF and I win against them too. I's part of the game, and has been for how many years now? I really doubt you're going to want them to buff solo survivors, only to nerf SWF, because that will just make things worse in the high ranks. A lot worse.
They already said they're adjusting maps. See how things pan out after they fix them.
-
I judge killers on how good their Billy is and how well they can finesse a chainsaw. The only consistent streamer I see that knows how to chainsaw around structures and tiles is OhTofu. And of course, he plays as good an M1 killer game as anyone else. I do like Otz's builds tho.
As far as survivor, it's between No0b3 and Ayrun for flashiest.
Just content creators tho-- I've played with and gone against many players at least as good as them.

They made a literal infinite on mothers dwelling, in an update that was supposed to remove "infinites" or god loops. There is something wrong with their map guy if he can't fix something that is easy to do.
Is it live?

They got praise because it's a step in the right direction. You don't encourage change by being negative.
