I'm happy for behavior and all of the FNAF lovers.
personally I don't want to see these childish animatronics in a trail but it will surely bring in fans. whatever i guess

Most of the protagonists in castlevania are strong. Stronger powers than most of the actual killers on the roster.

Here's a list of several changes that I've thought of to to make Myers feel better toplay as and against.
Changed. T1 Myers now moves at 110%
Changed when a surivor is fully stalked that surivor will slowly regain the ability to be stalked again over 300s
New t2 Myers will gain a 5 %haste 3seconds after surivors are not looking at you.
Changed increased terror radius from 16m to 18 in t2
New Myers stalks his obsession 15%faster by basekit. Hitting your obsession causes your hit animation to be 15%longer
New when Myers reaches 95%stalk at t2 a sound effect will play
"this is to help alleive the frustration of Myers 99 his power on a teammate and downing you but allows him to surprise the player he is currently stalking"
New when Myers reaches t3 his stuns breaking and vaulting speed are 20%faster
Addon change tombstone piece. Unlocks the ability to remove 1 hook state by grabbing the surivor and stabbing them and letting them run increased stalk required by 125% this ends t3
"If the wordings rough this might help. Insteading of stabbing the surivor again killing them you toss them after the first stab they lose a hook state right there and you continue chase."
Addon change Judith tombstone
Unlocks The ability to remove 1 hook state from healthy or injured surivors increases the amountof stalk required by 175% increase t3 duration by 15s
T3 doesn't end
"Same as before but if you catch them again you can remove another hook state"
Changed being grabbed in animation or out of a locker with this addon will cause the effects of tombstone to take place
i like your idea of Myers covering ground quicker off screen when u not looking at him in tier 2. Really faithful to his character but it would be way to strong around high wall loops.

half the time i get a nurse teammate they barely know how to even blink.
Trapper- could be alright but not my prefer pick.

i usually play Billy myself

The 1v4 is the best design mode for sure but i found way more enjoyment through the 2v8. could just be recency bias but i don't think so. I thought every game mode before the 2v8 was pretty meh.

9/10 update
The survivor perks buff are all minor but pretty cool, the killer buffs look good. I prefer to see the prestiges but I'm not mad at them trying to reduce dodging. The only changes i don't like is midwich. They opening up the bathroom to make navigating more easy cool.. but what about the actual rooms. The room like the piano room, bookcase room? There several rooms where the survivor can stun the killer and not be able to get away to another loop just because they got the stun on a certain side. I was hoping the devs actually address more problems about this map.
-
i have no idea at all honestly. At least 10 I'm assuming since i only loss once as killer in this mode

2vs8 is much more fun than normal I would not mind them remove normal mode and keep only 2vs8. They only need to make bp offerings, some add ons and items available to use and it will be about perfect.
The 2 v 8 have slove most of the big complaints. Suicides, killer tactics, sweaty games, and survivors having a advantage in swf.
+ cant 4% on hook. Win for both sides
+ can't camp or 3 gen. tunneling and slugging way harder.
× Slugging for the 4k aka the 8k is still common.
+ killers can now play with friends just like survivors.
+ no MMR. back to a causal fun vibe (i personally prefer mmr myself but still)

I’ve seen killers tunnel and try to proxy camp. They’re definitely starting to bring that over. I was just tunneled out by a Wraith who had even gone to attack other people then left them to pursue me… across the map. After proxying my cage. Lol
🤣 them wraiths always built diff. Just seem a bit difficult to find someone across a big map with no notification but i don't doubt you at all. I just don't see how one could do that consistently.

Sounds like that would solve killer queue times… because no killer would play it.
I don't know, it seems hard to solve. They will just need to keep improving it with each release if they really want to make it permanent.
I can only think of reducing survivors to 6, reducing the amount of gens in the map to 10, having to finish 7, while getting rid of the basekit add-ons for killers but making it necessary to hook survivors.
The teleporting hooks should remain, to prevent camping.it very common to have two to three survivors cage in the 2 v 8. In a 2 v6 that would likely be the beginning of the end...just endless unhooking and resetting. I do agree that the mode should go down to a 2 v6 simply for player count sake. It will be quite easy to snowball with a 2v6 so the balance will need to be adjusted of course.
@Hex_Ignored said:
It wouldn't change the fundamental issue: there is nothing new or interesting for survivors. Whether you're playing with 3, 5 or 7 teammates, it is literally the same (classes are just pre-selected perks). This is probably one of the main problems that needs to be addressed if the devs ever want to reduce the imbalance between killer and survivor queues in 2v8 mode.
^^^^ 100%^^^^^
Survivors do get the benefit of not dealing with 3genning, camping, and tunneling being harder but that don't equal fun. It just make the mode more casual which is good. The problem is the mode don't offer anything interesting for survivors like you said. chaos shuffle allow everyone to roll the dice and test new things. 2 v 8 offer getting chase by two killer which is only enticing to killers mainly. The classes are cool but survivors need new items. Something different from the norm

Because of the pallet density and the fact Billy can't one-shot, you can juice 4/5 killers in this mode pretty easily unless they pincer you. You don't even need to be the Escapist class to do it, either. I'm not the best survivor but I do extremely well in this mode until the killers gang up on me. Or if there's a Trapper trap in the loop I guess. Most of the time, the killers aren't moving around together in the majority of matches I've played.
The only complaint I have about this mode from the survivor PoV is it feels like Trapper is in every match and he's one of my least favorite killer to play against.
You can run from pallet to pallet in the normal mode as well. Your not wrong but again it just not much reason to stay over the normal mode. This first iteration of the 2v8 was decent though and should be consider a success. They just need to make it more enticing for survivor the next go around. We can definitely both agree trapper boring to face for sure

@Zakon05 said:
What's so bad about playing survivor in this mode?
I'm genuinely curious because survivor isn't really a role I enjoy too much in 1v4, but I find survivor in 2v8 to be considerably more enjoyable.
There's tons of pallets so you can use them freely and don't need to worry that much about preserving them, tons of generators so you don't need to worry about doing the wrong generators and 3-genning yourself, having other people work on a gen with you is actually good for once and not throwing. Killers can't camp and it's hard for them to tunnel. Killers have no regression so you aren't constantly having your gen progress reset.
Beyond that, it's just the regular survivor gameplay experience of looping killers and doing gens, but with a lot of alleviated pain points.
go to @Slowpeach comment on the first page. He summarize it pretty well.
Most survivor get there enjoyment from looping. pincer Maneuvers don't leave room for skill expression. Gens can be rush quickly in this mode but that really isn't enticing. Like you said killers can't really use tactics but survivors can't make saves. We all know how much survivors love running behind killers with flashlights. Nothing wrong with the 2v8 it just not much reason to stay for survivors over the normal mode.
-
The mode just less stressful for everyone. The killer can cage/hook survivors with peace of mind and tactics are way harder to utilize against survivors. No camping, no 3 genning, and way harder to tunnel because no noise notification. Just overall more causal vibes for both sides

I think day 1 having such lager number of returning killers made it look that way. once the hype die down in a few days the Q times will be fine. OF COURSE i could be completely wrong but with all those bloodpoints survivors will continue to play no matter what.

I want the ability to say "No" to playing against at least three killers. And I mean being queued against them. I am so sick of either facing the same killer over and over, or facing toxic, overpowered killers. I want to actually have fun - and no, I don't mean win, winning doesn't matter in DbD. There is nothing fun about facing the same killer over and over or facing a killer that's overpowered.
And I'm not asking to be able to filter out a big list, just three would be fine. Heck, I'll take one. Use the rate at which survivors filter killers when you balance. Or don't. I don't care - I just want to have fun, and right now it's just not fun.

I always played knight as a split pusher and I can see how these are nerfs.
Personally I'm glad placing at your feet is gone, but the downsides:
- Global power cooldown post-guard return feels awful. They really should have kept cooldowns between guards to punish spamming and promote smarter allocations of your guards. Heck, the bug that let him swap guards in the PTB quickly while they were out would be balanced with this exact cooldown system.
- Hunt regression time by proximity, while a good idea to negate the worst of his pincer options, is too much to do reliant pincer attacks in complicated tiles. Especially with how his AI still acts.
- Far too easy to juke the guards with windows now. I've been doing it against a few Knights.
- Jailer time increase is great, until you realize paired with the global cooldown it means you're down a guard for too long using him. You have to hope he gets a hit early if you use him for wasting time.
I think the only positive I can think of is the change to Knight's Contract.
I understand why they gave him a global cooldown but man he felt smoother on the ptb because of it. With dead man switch you can push multiple people off gens with different guards without having to wait. You have more freedom to adapt to what was going on and put guard somewhere else it needed to be. Much like his anti-loop I think his map pressure is solid still but extremely punishing if you make the wrong call. If u put jailer on a survivor from a long range the hunt will last forever with mean no anti loop like u said. So you need to be way smarter on when to used to sssassin and when to you use the jailer. One wrong call and u can be m1 killer for nearly half a min. I will say the guards get hits wayyyyy more frequently now with long draw path. increase hunt time and decrease flag spawning base on path length make it harder for the survivors to know when to get the flag. I will argue his map pressure is pretty good but time down have suffer immensely.

@DragonMasterDarren said:
I've been playing a ton of Knight now that the rework's on live servers and honestly, I'm not seeing it, the only way these changes are a nerf is if you played Knight in the most brainless way possible and dumped a guard at every pallet
Carni breaks pallets instantly, letting you bulldoze through small loops and saving yourself some time outside of chase
Assassin can be used to pincer survivors inside of loops or keep pressure on them if you can predict where they're running to, hell I have been able to get Assassin hits even when the survivor uses Sprint Burst thanks to the increased duration
And Jailor keeps survivors busy for several eternities, AND can still be used in chase thanks to his much longer hunt duration
Knight has not been nerfed, Knight has been buffed, the only way you could see the much better Hunts as a nerf is if you were a meathead and dumped a Guard at every pallet for free zoning, use your brain and he'll be much, much more effective
Carni is extremely punishing to use when miss. If Huntress/ nessmiss pull up their power at pallet and survivor greet than survivor win the mind game and continue to run around it. knight preemptively summon up carnifex and the survivor greet than they can leave the loop now. You can't cancel in time before they get somewhere. You can't just drop guard and it not wise to to try in land the carni on the running survivor. You're also way too slow coming out of your power compare to most killers so can't even bait it at short loops. Now the cancel is pretty good at big loops like shack/jungle gyms. You can bait survivors with a path being draw and cancel it as they flee out of position. Most will assume you going to lock down the tile. Overall his anti loop isn't free anymore and extremely time costly.

finesse look strong so yeah I gotta buy her. I would buy any killer/survivor who come out just for the perks alone.

So matchmaking is acting a little more wonky then usual. It's taking a little longer to que which is fine because to me it means their finding a good lobby but it's more strange because I've died the whole time not even a pitty escape but it feels like the game is just ignoring it and not moving that mmr anywhere so basically I'm stuck where I'm constantly dying my teammates seem not bad but not good i mean most just give up on hook or DC 3 out of 5 matches so I need to know what it is happening because it wasn't like this before.
This is just now happening to u? (slight chuckle) im jealous
I been consistently getting early suicides/DC's for months. About 75 matches out of my last 200 have been this. I didn't even bother putting myself through the event. Two rank resets in a row as ash with survivor. it Is actually impossible to convince myself to go back in when i can just have a blast playing slinger. why play anymore when half the teams don't even wanna play themselves?

You understood it right 🤣. I want a party table in the exit gates for purely trolling
-
Everybody coming to the same conclusion. solo q really can't be buff much more .
They are at a gridlock around tunneling. They keep releasing more counterplay to tunneling but never completely nerfing it because of swf. You could fix the matchmaking.....but some players theorize that the system intentionally match you up with players of all different skill levels for the sake of maintaining the kill rates You could give survivors wall hacks (bond/kinderd) but that would be bad in my opinion. You can pretty much problem solve with the hud to figure out is the killer camping most of the time. No one in chase for a while? the killer probably at the hook. You need to be able to observe your surroundings and make a deduction. Adding wall hacks would kill game sense but at the same time u can't depend on people to know what to do when matchmaking consistently giving you at least 1 potato teammate.
-
The perk trash on it own and even with a obsession swamping perk it still below average. I don't like left behind, sole survivor, or rancor for the same exact reason.... why should u randomly get to escape or get a kill because u equip a perk? My aura reveal, 1shot, and mori= u probably die. Just completely invalidate the survivor skill and turn them into a consolation prize at the end.

They need to stopp with their 60% kill rate goal for that, because it makes their balance decisions just bad. Survivor feels pointless most of the time, when you feel like you have no chance + the killer is too strong and maps are too weak. I think it‘s unfair that the killers have a 20% higher winrate than survivors.
I think they should aim to boost morale. Hear me out.....
Their should be a party table inside every exit gate with a prompt to "have a seat" so survivors can celebrate in style when they survivor.

Its the toolboxes, not the perks. A Brown toolbox works better than Provethyself. Most survivors' Gen perks require to do something else but Gen.
I think toolboxes now should just give skill check only. And double the charges, so you relied on your great skill checks to boost the progress.
This is a pretty awesome idea.
