We're working on it™.
-
If you're talking about Deranged Pursuit, it's kinda complicated to get.
You need to;
- Hit a survivor with Frenzy to trigger Killer Instinct (the heartbeats)
- Run and hit another survivor within the same Frenzy.
- Run back and strike the first survivor you hit, before the frenzy runs out AND down him from that strike.
-
Play a killer that can insta-down. That's basically the only counter to MoM.
-
It's cool that they're going for dedicated servers after several years of "nah, too much trouble". And that's.. kinda it? I don't think anything else they're doing is worthy of praise.

They should just decrease the grind in general
@Andreyu44 This is the best way.
I've made a thread regarding how I believe bloodpoint offerings could be reworked into something more exciting and rewarding. https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/46827/a-rework-of-bloodpoint-offerings
-
The developers just dropped two new DLCs (Demise of the Faithful and Ash's Evil Dead) and they're hoping that the free users will gobble it all up. They don't really care about the new players otherwise. They already don't care what we (the current player-base) are saying anyway.
-
It only too 2½ years for DS to be a balanced perk and we've been asking for rank rewards since the first players reached rank 1.. maybe a few more years?
-
@Kilmeran Oh No! Not the Fog Whisperers!
-
P3 - Dwight, Nurse (Legacy 3), Myers, Spirit.
P2 - Huntress
I've come to the realization that P3'ing characters is a massive waste of time.

We don't give special treatment to anyone. Regarding disconnects specifically, the current system is based on a threshold. If someone disconnects above a certain percentage of their matches over a period of time, they will automatically be flagged and banned. There is no filter for who gets these bans, the system treats everyone equally. Some of the streamers you see play the game for six or more hours per day and play a large number of matches. In comparison, the percentage of their matches that they disconnected from ends up being relatively low.
The system is not perfect at the moment and we hope to improve it sometime after dedicated servers launch. In the meantime, we are doing the best that we can with what we have available.
@Peanits Nice to know that the DC epidemic will only get worse as we close in on those dedicated servers later this summer.
-
@th3beardedbaron I can see you've not been here that long when you try and fight my statement with that. Yes, this game is survivor favored. Always will be. The majority of players play survivor so its in the developers' best interest to keep them happy.
Self-care wasn't nerfed. They BUFFED the healing speed from 30/40/50 to 50% at all levels. And while they did increase the overall healing speed by a measly 4 seconds, it nerfed healing overall.. not self-care specifically.
DS now has counter-play, which is necessary for any strong perk. It only took 2½ years.
..Plague "breaking the pallet looping meta".. what? How new are you?
They did, yeah, but they also added them back since the "two pallets in one spot" garbage is back.
Wiggling was never meant to guarantee an escape. It was meant to force killers to hang up you on unfavorable hooks.
Isn't the wiggle bug a console specific bug? I play on PC.
Yeah, her perk affects 3 generators the first two minutes of the game. Then it's gone. Forever. Such a game changer.
Please do add more examples.
-
Oh, they could easily reinforce their DC banning system to be more strict.. but then they'd lose their precious survivor players and that's a big no-no. Would create a backlash. Another review-bombing.
-
Benedict got morphed into the cosmetics team. He's gone forever.
-
MoM's the perfect example on how disconnected the developers are from the community, especially when it comes to grievances that already plague the game.

Yet they are doing dedicated servers, something most forum users sworn up and down that the developers won't do. It just takes time and they probably have their hands full right now.
They have from the very start said that dedicated servers wouldn't be a thing so no one really bothered too much with that afterwards. Self-explanatory things like rank rewards have been demanded more throughout DbD's lifetime.
You're too trusting in the developers that they'll magically fix things. They don't care ######### about you, me, that guy over there and especially not Bob in the corner over yonder. They care about money. That's why we've been getting DLCs, the Store, unreasonable amount of trash cosmetics while everything else's on fire.
-
@Delfador Well aware. If they cared what we said then we'd have things like ranking rewards and stuff like that.. you know, things we've been asking for SINCE THE RELEASE OF THE GAME.
-
The only buff that WGLF should get is to also get a token for healing a health state on another survivor.

It is exclusively when they are downed / about to be hooked. They haven't DC'd any other time, which makes me think its tied to the downing/hook animation.
Nah, dude. They're ragequitting on you.
-
Sounds perfectly fine to me.
If you know how the game works, you'd know that Billy is easily loopable in areas where he cannot reliably use his chainsaw.
The fact that you believe him to be more broken that the killer that can literally ignore any and all defense a survivor has, shows to me your experience with the game itself is pretty limited.
-
They're not doing their best. If they're doing their best they'd have focused on finally introducing a reward system for reaching rank 1 and getting exclusive rewards for leveling up your devotion. Fixing bugs and the like.

They are trying and as you can see, @not_Queen is communicating with the community.
@Nickenzie It looks to me more like they're doing damage control. I suspect the Plague DLC didn't sell well enough and the Evil Dead one brought too much negativity to be worth it.
Don't worry though. I am sure you'll swallow the upcoming "We're working on it!" posts.

@BoxingRouge said:
Well their optimization roadmap seems to show that there’s 4 chapters this year.
@BoxingRouge A roadmap means ######### in the modern gaming industry. Just an excuse for companies to not work as fast as they should. Anthem dropped with little to no content and everyone complained about that but the developer went "but we have a roadmap! The game might be feature complete in like 6 months to a year! Just keep playing and you'll see! Also please buy stuff from the store."
DEAD BY DAYLIGHT STILL DOESN'T ######### HAVE REWARDS FOR REACHING RANK 1 AND THE GAME HAS BEEN OUT FOR 3 YEARS IN JUNE!
And you better believe that people have been mentioning that since the very first player reached rank 1.
-
If you down them and they DC before you can get them on a hook, it's just a entitled survivor doing their thing.
There's a DC epidemic going on and the developers are too afraid to do anything about it since its basically only survivors doing it.
-
Increase base repair speed for generators but let survivors find and collect parts that'll boost repair speed greatly. Generator regression when damaged by the killer should be more effective against generators without parts and lose its efficiency as more parts are installed.
Any generator can still be repaired without any parts but the overall time is greatly increased.
-
She needs to be able to blink non-stop. Its her thing. Gutting her power with a power gauge would demand that you boost movement speed, or lethality, to compensate.
-
I'd like to feel like I am not some point piñata for survivors to have fun with.
-
Silence won't solve any issues.

@HuN7r3sS said:
I feel the same, and it makes me believe there's a disconnect between the devs and the players because of this
@HuN7r3sS There has been a disconnect between developers and community for a faaaar longer than this, you know. I mean, they've openely stated that they don't care about our feedback in the PTBs and such.
Even @not_Queen is doing damage control saying there's gonna be some information coming up. I guess the last DLCs didn't push as much money as they thought they would?
-
Dwight was considered the worst character to play as at release, so that's why I only play him. Default outfit and all.
-
She's underwhelming. I am more scared of a Clown, tbh.
-
I think while a survivor is hooked if the killer is close to the survivor on the hook it’s should work how the pigs traps work if you are to close the bar d…
This exact mechanic was testing out in a PTB and it was heavily abused by survivors.
Who'd have thunk, huh? Survivors doing their thing.

What is the benefit to withholding information? It seems to be the modus operandi you guys go with and it never works out well- have you discussed being more open with the community?
@ScoopskiPotatoes They might risk angering people. Specifically the survivor side. Afraid of another review bombing.
-
Or we could just reinforce the punishments for DCing.. that'd also solve the issue.
-
@PolarBear said:
If you are playing a killer without and ability that does damage to survivor you're gonna get your ass blasted by MoM. Doesn't make any sense to me to introduce a perk that only works against already weak killers that already barely have any map pressure.
@PolarBear Too many killer positive changes lately, the developers needed to counter-act that with an almost pay-2-win tier perk against the majority of all the current killers in the game..
-
I am at 4.
-
Whenever good killer changes come, the developers always compensate by changing other stuff in the survivors' favor.
Behavior is very afraid of survivor backlash.
-
@mcNuggets You save a lot of sanity by closing that post-game chat box and never opening it again.

I am very fond of power metal.

@Kind_Lemon said:
While I think your suggestion is a perfectly appropriate way to deal with the situation, I propose something that would bridge the gap between live and hypothetical:
Remove the Common Wreaths in the meantime. Turn them into their corresponding uncommon offerings.
P.S. I would personally like to see the Ardent Wreaths affect more than one category and increase the in-game bp cap and/or point generation.
@Kind_Lemon Less stuff in the web that also deals more points overall is just a win-win situation.
Ardent Raven Wreaths in my suggestion is what the Hollow Shell is currently. If you want a increased BP cap, you could suggest to the developers that every devotion level you have increases the maxiumum with 250k or something.

@Ember_Hunter said:
Yep, they should make Decisive activate after one has been hooked, but there is no time limit. But to balance, the level of perk determines how hard the skill check is, and I think first two levels should have time limits, but not as short as 40 seconds. Levels should also increase how long killer is stunned by a few split seconds.
Just an idea, like the nerf, but they nerfed DS too much.
@Ember_Hunter So basically like the old one but far more reliable and therefore more powerful? You're not serious, right?
-
It's called "Priorities" and those say that new content is more important than fixing old content.
At least they attempted to do something about the crashes and infinite loading screens, so there's that.
-
We've seen QA people play in the background of livestreams back in the day, and they all were playing full on meta-builds with their boosted accounts.. and running in straight lines not looking behind them when getting chased..
-
I get them when I unhook and when I tank a hit from a killer carrying a survivor.
-
At the moment, I am playing Deep Rock Galactic, Risk of Rain 2 and Overcooked 2.

Get rid of the unfun elements that cause people to dc. Changing the name without addressing the things driving people away will not solve the problem .
@ColgateAdvancedWhite Define "Unfun elements".

It sickens me how many supporters he got in the video leaving positive "we forgive you <3" comments and likes..
-
Take it from Mathieu himself. If you want to win games, you should only play Hillbilly and Nurse.
-
It's a "hit and abandon" perk. Having literally no terror radius gives killers immense map pressure. Imagine having a Leatherface literally strolling up behind you back while you're working on a generator. That's a big oof.
-
@Feleas There's a >> at the bottom right corner of the chatbox, I believe. If you press that, the chatbox closes and won't open until you reopen it yourself.
-
Feels like DH, MoM, Adrenaline and Self-care are gonna be the new meta. Together with an insta-heal medkit for good measure.
