So it'll be like playing with a permanently active Escape Cake every game at the cost of giving up a perk slot?
-
Nah.
-
What's the point of the Deep Wound status effect when it's borderline useless with the upcoming Legion update?
Oh, Legion came and stabbed me and ran off after someone else. I better continue working on this here generator because Deep Wound won't be ticking down while Legion's in the area.

It let's you tank A SINGLE hit and after that is useless. Also there is a lot of killers will counter play to this.
I honestly don't see anything wrong with this perk.
@harley_gibson The problem isn't the perk itself but when it's combo'd with other perks it ends up being a problem. Mix it in with Adrenaline, Dead Hard and Decisive Strike and you basically have a survivor who can dodge an insane amount of hits and TANK a lot of hits. There's nothing you as a killer can do about it, unless you're playing Leatherface or Hillbilly.

Can we expect Freddy getting the same treatment as Legion?

Missing an attack will not cause your power to be depleted, it would only end your Feral Frenzy. For example, if you missed your attack at 75% charge, you would only have to wait ~5 seconds to use your power again.
We are putting these changes on the PTB before they go live. We can always make changes based on the feedback we receive. I would strongly suggest giving it a try before coming to any conclusions.
@Peanits Why bother? You've already shown time and time again that you don't care whatever feedback we provide through the PTB.
You might as well just push the changes live and don't care more about it. It'll have the same outcome, except less community frustration from being ignored once more.

Her add-ons needs a revamp but she herself is fine.
-
It helps a lot with looping since it shows you the red stain even through solid walls, thus giving you an edge.
-
Like Corrupt Intervention?
It's a well-known fact that the developers do not balance their game around the high ranks. It's a party game.
-
I am having a blast with Risk of Rain 2.
-
Its what happen when the developers are too disconnected with their playerbase to listen to the biggest issues regarding a killer they plan on tweaking a lot.
The main issues with Legion were;
- Moon-walking exploit. Solved by making the Deep Wound timer stop when in terror radius.
- Frank's Mixtape tunneling.
- Spamming attacks without punishment.. even using it to move faster because of the low missed attack cooldown.
Legion would have been a much healthier killer if the developers did something about these three topics.
..I guess they technically did.. but they really went overboard.

Legion has always felt like a time-wasting killer. I wonder how the update will retain this unique feature
@ColgateAdvancedWhite Probably not even close to as good as the current Live version Legion. I mean, Deep Wound won't tick down while in the terror radius so you might as well just keep working on that generator you're working on after Legion stabs you and runs after someone else he can see with Killer Instinct.
There's no danger until he runs away far enough that you'll no longer be in the terror radius.
-
I am still puzzled to how exaclty one can get Deranged Pursuit, even with the add-on that let's frenzy attacks damage the Deep Wound meter when Deep Wound don't tick down while in the terror radius and you don't have a clue how much of it is remaining.
Are you supposed to stab that person a few times, follow them around, find another survivor and strike them and find the guy you've been following since you started stabbing them and stab them that one final (hopefully) time?
It's so #########. They might as well change Deranged Pursuit to be "have all four survivors in the Deep Wound state simultaneously." because this is just absurd.

You might think so, but currently, the max additional bloodpoints a player can get from an ardent wreath is 8k if the category was completely filled (which is sometimes difficult in survival, altruism, brutality, and deviousness). The 5k offering only granted an additional 3k out of a match if that category was filled. If the bloodpoint cap were increased for that category, then it would be possible to get more (even in not your best match) than only 3k extra out of one offering.
@Kind_Lemon That'd still require you to do much, much better than normal.. like doing all generators by yourself, doing all saves by yourself, only you being chased the entire game etc.
The current category sizes are fine, I believe. They motivate players to do more than just one thing all game.
-
They're turning Legion into another m1 killer that can easily injure healthy survivors and.. that's it. Super exciting. Wow.
-
@Orion And he cannot reduce the Deep Wound timer by hitting a survivor with Frenzy again.. which means that he needs to chase them down without using his power.. which just makes his power a "first hit's free" power.

What is the entity's favorite soda?!?
@CaptainCastle *siiiigh*
..or relevant questions.

His default outfit, of course. His clothing doesn't matter when you're hiding in lockers 24/7.
-
You never get any solid answers in their QnA's though.

Ironically, I am really fond of Legion's menu theme. Clown's pretty solid too.

No thanks.

I wish permanent hook breaks were back.
Just let the killers restore them in a few seconds and give us back slower but permanent hook breaks, please!
@mcNuggets Please no. That cancerous ######### belongs in the grave where it belongs.
-
So what's on your mind, if it turns you into a nervous wreck?
-
Legion is the prime example of a killer that's designed to be "fun". The developers wanted him to be fun to play as and fun to play against.
..but since they've close to no experience with their own game they clearly missed what "fun" is for the majority of the playerbase AND failed to see the issues that'd come with Legion's power.. which a lot of people saw as early as the PTB.
-
..or just run out right away and don't get hit? What's the issue here?
-
Dying? No.
But the game's definitely suffering under Behavior's blatant laziness. Now all the things are collapsing at once and the players are leaving. They've panicked at the revelation and are doing emergency damage control. They have even started community interaction again, after such a long time of borderline nothing.
-
Enduring lowers the stun for the killer but he'd still have dropped you if you hit DS.
-
You'll probably see improvement when the dedicated servers come but before that.. The killer's ping dictates over-the-pallet hits.
-
Back in the day, the last survivor on the hook used to endure THE ENTIRE SACRIFICE DURATION to spite the killer, resulting in games that lasted 2+ minutes longer than they should have.
This is why they made it so that the last survivor on the hook dies instantly. And I would prefer it if it stays this way. I don't want that crap back.
-
The reverse way of this has been tried out already (slowing down sacrifice progression if the killer is within x meters of the hook) and it was exploited by survivors.
I've no doubt that your version would be just as exploited.
-
Sooner than later, I expect. The player numbers are going down, despite two DLCs and a free weekend. Heck, they're even increasing their community interaction as a result of the poor numbers. It all goes hand in hand.
-
I don't miss dark levels.
-
Why fix things when people keep buying store fodder and dlcs?
-
When you design killers to be "fun", as Behavior does, then their performance suffers.
-
I've been calling people "cattle" since forever since everyone always get excited over the slightest amount of "fodder" Behavior add to their store. The game's in the gutter at the moment and while I hear them going "we're fixing things!", we don't get to know WHEN or HOW they plan on doing it.
It's just generic corporate PR talk, straight outta Activision or EA.
-
I was a few days off with Dwight (which I regret in hindsight) but I do have Nurse Legacy 3.
Steam Community: Dead by Daylight. Legacy Nurse -
To keep people invested. To make the journey to rank 1 again. It's the same deal as with the grind. It makes people stay.
-
You can lose points towards your emblems (which you use to rank up) if you stay too close to a hooked survivor but you will never lose Bloodpoints per say. You might gain less BPs overall by camping though, as you're not initiating chases, hurting survivors or using your power.

I honestly wouldn't play Warframe if they didn't have daily/weekly stuff now. Why should a free to play game have something a Paid game doesn't, while both have unlimited replay values? Genre means nothing in this case imo. It's about giving your players something to do. Games that lack "End Game"(and i don't mean the exit gates being ######### powered lol) need daily/weekly things to do.
@projecteulogy Heh, at least they've announced that they're finally doing something about the end-game.
-
Rituals wouldn't feel as ######### if you got a new set of three rituals per day (replacing all remaining ones) and had a boost to BP rewards, akin to how it was before. Increasing the amount to four or five as well.. that'd not be bad either.
-
Because it'll break the "economy", as they've said before.
-
With all the second chance perks at the survivors' disposal, coupled with a lot of killers lacking enough map pressure to be dangerous.. it's just a recipe for stress and frustration.

No, there's no need for another clown with that stupid limitation.
@Acromio This. What this game needs to have are more bad killers that's on par with Hillbilly, not Hillbilly being nerfed to be on par with them.
-
In my own experience, its basically exclusively survivors who're the ones being toxic towards others. Be it other survivors or the killer.
-
I prepared for disappointment, no matter when it comes.
-
I'd say its a bannable offense if its done in a public game, yeah.
-
My Dwight. Who's also the only P3 survivor I got.. and I only play him in his default outfit.
