Get hit once, escape, self care to full health
Get hit a Once then a Second time (At this point you'd normally be downed, three hits in total) and MoM activates giving a sprint burst.
Get hit again and your downed. 4 hits in total from when you first escaped and mended to when you where found again.
Remembering it doesn't actually take 4 hits, you have to escape first then mend then hit 2 more times before you have to be hit one more time to down.
That's still ONLY 1 EXTRA HIT out of all of that. After that? you can never mend again or be given a permanent aura reading buff to the Killer guaranteeing they find, down and hook you.
If you get hooked, rescued and escape you can do that process a second time and MAYBE if you get hooked a third time if your previous two hooks had quick rescues you might be able to pull off a 3rd go at MoM immunity but no more.
Dead Hard can be used every 60/50/40 seconds on an Exhaustion timer. If the match lasts 10 minutes you could use it 10 times. In that same match MoM can only be used twice and at a stretch three times per match.
So why people are so focused on MoM rather than campaigning for a DH nerf is beyond me.
@DirtWeasel DH loses a lot of its power when the killer knows you have it. It can be baited. There's no counter to MoM other than making sure someone dies on the first hook or constantly downing them with Chainsaws.

Or.. you could equip Calm spirit? That perk perfectly counters the doctor as it makes you immune to screaming debuffs.
-
Hey, @Peanits .. Will there be a ban wave before the 2x event next week?
-
The developers don't want you to actually kill anyone but rather spread the hurt.
-
You think forcing randomness of players will make for a more fun experience?
-
I doubt it will happen. Behavior wouldn't want their player-base getting inconvenienced by something like a punishment for disconnecting en masse.

@se05239 Do you EVER say nice things about DbD/bhvr?
@Bbbrian2013 On occasion. If they did more worth praising, I'd be more positive.
-
The developers don't mind SWF. They're not planning on balancing the game according to SWF.. at least not on the killer side of the game.
-
The developers don't want to show statistics to the masses, because then we'd be able to confirm ######### we've been saying for years. That's a big no-no.
-
Congratulations for finally waking up.
-
As long as it stays in Discord, its fine. Please don't bring VOIP cancer into Dead by Daylight.
-
Survivors are burning all their ultra-rare stuff to bully killers and killers just wanna do the same. PTB games are notoriously unfun.
There's a small portion of players that actually wanna try out changes.. but they're too few.
I guess that people are turned off by all the nerfs and ######### too, I guess.
-
Why be excited? People will just DC uncontrollably as usual. Such excitement. Wow.

Why did say "you", they're not apart of the balance team ( I think ), lol
@Victory "You" as in "Developer of Dead by Daylight" and "Part of Behavior Interactive".

They're reverting the change to timer pausing within the Pig's TR.
@TAG But the traps are still useless once the final generator has popped.

There seems to be a misunderstanding here, by no means is a Killer not supposed to kill. The key is that you need to make sure that both sides always have a chance to win, even if that chance is very slim. To use the pig, as an example, if you got chased for a minute after the End Game started and then trapped, you simple would not have a chance to remove your trap escape by the time you get saved (especially now that the End Game timer is two minutes). You would have to win the lottery and remove your trap on the first box.
If you create a situation where someone has no chance to win, it feels like a waste of time. If you know you're going to die and there's nothing you can do about it, it's going to feel awful. You'll just want to get it over with as fast as possible. The same would go for the Killer side as well. If you were in a scenario where you could not possibly win, you would have a miserable time.
It's a tricky to strike a balance in an asymmetrical game, but it's important to make sure that everyone in the match has a chance up until they win or lose, whether losing is dying or getting sacrificed, or if losing is all the survivors getting out the gates.
@Peanits The power in an asymmetrical game should always pivot in the favor of the power role. The developers are nerfing ######### left and right based upon rare fringe cases.
In your example with the survivor getting chased by the Pig.. what if the chase was just after the Pig closed the hatch? The survivor is equally #########, with or without a trap on his head. Perhaps you should introduce a grace period where the killer cannot interact with survivors when the end-game triggers, so the survivors can safely open the doors without fear of getting into a situation where they have no chance to win? Wouldn't that be fair?

I haven't bothered to watch most of the anvengers movies and their small side movies, apart from the first Iron Man, Doctor Strange and Guardians of the Galaxy. I spoil myself with Endgame because I couldn't care less.
-
Its a brilliant move out of a monetization stand-point. Everyone owns Meg, thus boosting the chances that someone will fall for the scam and buy some ######### cosmetics for her.
-
It honestly doesn't matter much who you play as. The rush will happen if you cannot apply enough pressure.

Check the Q&A video around 40:40, they literally said they didnt want to make him top tier. In other words, they want Billy and Nurse all day...
@tt_ivi_99 Ah.. the developers and their concept of "Fun".

dont know her well but doesnt trap s timer start immediately?
@Slayer Her traps activate everytime a generator is finished but not when the End-Game is triggered. This means that every trap you use after the final generator has been repaired are all useless. Double so now when an inactivated trap doesn't stop survivors from escaping through the exit gates.

@NuclearBurrito said:
Wait no she's not dead yet! They reverted the TR nerf and everything!
WE HAVE A PULSE PEOPLE!
@NuclearBurrito Nah, dude. Her RBTs are useless the second the final generator's finished. They need to either bring back that you cannot escape with one on your head or the End-Game Collapse needs to trigger any inactive RBTs available.

A lot of things that Trapper doesn't have going for him is time efficiency. He spends too much time finding his traps, setting them up and then later resetting them.
Like you mentioned in your post, if Trapper could spend less time to access his arsenal he'd be much more of a killer.
Having access to all his traps via lockers (until all of them are out in play) could be a thing but also letting Trapper reset his traps without having to pick them up first.. both are really strong changes to him.
-
@Peanits Reverting changes that were too far out there are good. Let's hope you're gonna revert more. Seems most of the Pig changes were based upon "those 0.5% games where everything lines up" scenarios.
Seriously, instead of nerfing stuff to hell before seeing how things will work out.. choose instead to implement and see how things work with the current state of the game and then nerf afterwards.

I've decreased the grind once and they can definitely do it again. The simplest way would be to just boost BP gain overall. Streamlining the BP offerings so they're actually useful to burn would be the easiest way. Made a thread regarding suggestions a while back.

It's kind like an extra layer of injury that you'll eventually need to get out of, or risk getting downed? It's there to waste time but it does its job even worse now when it doesn't tick down in the terror radius.

Thanks, so no new scoring events.
Oh well back to the old faithful farmers!
@Supernaut The Doctor always appreciates the attention.
-
There's like.. 100+ suggestions for this already?
-
Looking forward to seeing how gimmicky the developers can make his power, how many hoops he need to jump through in order to get any value out of it.
Because, you know, they make "Fun" killers now.
-
Her power was appearantly too stronk for Behavior to handle when it came to the End-Game Collapse. She could potentially ruin the survivors' fun. That's a big no-no.
-
######### NO.
-
You've not been active on this forum before, have you?
A LOT of people are upset with the "logical changes" Behavior have done to the Pig.
-
They do it because they can. That's it. They want the salt.
-
Ruin and Iron Will.
-
An end-game mechanic that do not favor the killers at all, apart from those who're seeking to forfeit their game while also boosting survivor point gain beyond reasonable levels. It's clear on which side the developers stand.
-
Nah.
-
The future for DbD hasn't even reach the finale yet. Just you wait. Things can, and most definitely will, get worse.
-
The end-game is just a glorified farming event for survivors. There's nothing positive in it for killers.
-
Oh, it can ALWAYS get worse. Shouldn't jinx it. The developers see it as a challenge.
-
Don't fret, @Bug_Reporter, Behavior is perfectly capable of ruining their game without the addition of Dedicated servers. Just watch how well they're doing!
-
The more the merrier.
Streamlining the BP offerings to be more rewarding overall to burn would also be nice. I made a thread about my own suggestions regarding precisely that.

The developers don't care. They've shown that over and over again. As long as the cattle keep buying whatever Store fodder they produce, they'll keep doing their thing at their hearts' content.
-
Depends on the survivors. If the one you're camping gives up or the other survivors throw themselves at the hook to save their friend, then camping is a good strategy.
If the survivors see that their friend is getting camped and work on generators instead (which they should tbh) then it's not a valid strategy.
I prefer to not camp at all, since I like points more than pips.

@se05239 I learned a new word. ^^ You only have one, though?
@fluffybunny Not everyone can quite think up a bunch of perks and their mechanics on the go, you know.
-
Schadenfreude
You revel in the misery of others. Every time a survivor fails a healing skill check, gain a token up that speeds up all actions (movement speed included) by 1%. 3/5/7 tokens max.
-
No fun can be had in the higher ranks.
-
David's, definitely. An incomprehensible mess of Irish badassery.
