Thats not entirely correct my friend, Survivors use the "we only have gens to do, what else are we supposed to do" to defend their gen rushing.

The answer is get the totems and deny any NOED.

And killers say that if the killer camper you have to make gens. The game is balanced around 5 gens. If they add another objective and don't change anything else, it'll be 4k every game.

To me, playing all game with only 3 perks vs a full team, IS EARNING NOED. They handicapped themselves during the majority of the game, in HOPES of having a good powerful perk in the end.

Its not a free win, its a gamble, Survivors are the ones who decide if NOED actually happens or not. If you get NOED'd down the survivors are to blame, stop gen rushing and do the OTHER OBJECTIVE you ask for all the time.

Sorry, but people who asked for other objectives are mainly killers

  • Sure more than 95% of the survivors base game are not lvl 1. And the killer power is the same for them

  • @Bravo0413 said:

No....... shes the killer that was implemented to take on SWF and the cream of the crop.... the only time itll be okay to make changes to her is when the team finally takes care of the maps...... and the objective to where it's not possible to end a game in 4mins or less... then she can be toned down maybe just a tiny tiny bit....... it's also difficult because in her current state she does something that the majority of characters dont do...... reward for playtime...... also shes still next to unplayable on console.

"...reward for playtime...". Yes, she must get 4k always because survivors at lvl 1 have less that 10 hours and don't deserve a reward too

  • Has anyone see any survivor with MoM in these days?

  • @SteelDragon said:

the nerf was heavily needed, 3 hits is NOTHING, when things like self care and insta heals are a thing. there was no working for such a strong perk other than playing the game, all other perks require you to work for them usually in some kind of way or they are not impactful perks, like decisive you needed to be unhooked and picked up within x time for decisive. for self care it requires you to get hit then get away from the killer, adrenaline requires all the gens to be done. other perks cause exhaustion which means that the perk cannot be used again for a while. this was a OP and broken perk

Well, record a video and show us that 3 hits is nothing when you are making gens or cleansing totems. Running all the game looking for the killer is not valid.

  • They nerf MoM to a trash perk. It's time for NOED nerf

  • Sure she can noobstomp average or even decent survivors and punish them mercilessly for their mistakes but against a solid team that knows how to run a nurse, she ain't much better than billy or spirit.

So 3k is a lost for a killer?

  • No reason, only to make killers happy

  • Ok, to begin with - i'm killer main also playing survivor occasionaly. I'm usually rank 1 killer each season.

So make 4k every game is ok and balance, but 1k is not. That's the typical thought of killers, we want 4k every game, as survivor you can escape 1 match in a week.

  • In a 90% killer forum? Prepare for insults :(

  • Spine chill and DS are the best perks in the game. There're lot of perks that need more attention.

  • @Larcz said:

Sad but true is survs fear killer only when he or she got the best addons and pink mori.End of story before that pff just loop like crazy i got 2 hooks left and adrenalin and other second chance perk...

We don't fear killer, we only want to have fun.

Problem is that low-mid ranked survivors can get better and spot GF more efficiently. No matter how skilled you are as killer old MoM would always screw you whenever you would play low tier killer.

Also I think DS is fine. 1 minute feels just about right. Only complain I have about it is that unless you count in head you have no idea if it's a minute already. I cetainly don't want any notification if they have a DS but it's so annoying to have to count for each survivor just to be sure.

Low ranked survivors are 4k anyway since B&C appears last time in the Shrine of Secrets

  • @AetherBytes said:

    @prayer_survivor

Nurses calling:You're loud as ######### healing anyway.

B&C: Soft countered by lockers, pretty much hard countered by how far a survivor can get before you can reach them.

Blood Warden: Doesn't break stealth, just stalls the game and actually encourages going back to stealth mode

Deerstalker: This only finds downed survivors, and is way more useful for finding them so they don't bleed out and waste your time forever.

Discordance: Promotes individuality, you'll learn they have it and make sure there's not 2+ people on a gen.

Hex: TOTH: A defense perk. This is to pull you out of stealth and expose you to possibly remove a kllers perk. It's a Risk/Reward.

I'm All Ears: Like BBQ, they're usually too far away for it to be useful And who quickvaults out of the terror radius anyway?

Infectious Fright: A defense against flashlight saves most of the time, and more discourages working together.

Iron Maiden: A true stealth killer, but can be outplayed easily once you know it's there.

Rancor: Triggers 5 times, and it's a notification. Try getting that to pop when you need it.

Spies from the Shadows: Well you aint exactly being stealthy if you're scaring crows, this is just a noob perk for those who don't pay attention. A good killer can track you by crows alone sometimes.

Stridor: Requires you to be very near a survivor to have any effectiveness.

Surveillance: A patrol tool more then a stealth killer. Tap the gen and run, see what happens. At most you'll only have 1 survivor who has to break stealth to keep the killer unaware.

Territorial Imperative: An area control perk for the basement, it's more for guarding then breaking stealth

Tinkerer: Triggered by survivors, and it's main bonus, the terror radius, is useless on low mobility killers, and high mobility killers are loud af

Thrilling Tremors: Most of the time is wasted when you pick someone up, and survivors will adapt and rather wait for the block then be detected.

Whispers: The most ineffective perk I've ever seen to find a survivor. Only works for new killers who haven't found any better detection perks.

I'm only saying that killers can't protest for survivors using 1 perk against a killer, when they have dozens.

  • Should stealth survivors be countered by Nurse's Calling, B&C, Bitter murmur, Blood Warden, Deerstalker, Discordance, Hex: Thrill of the Hunt, I'm All Ears, Infectious Fright, Iron Maiden, Rancor, Spies from the Shadows, Stridor, Surveillance, Territorial Imperative, Tinkerer, Thrilling Tremors and Whispers?

And also OoO, noises, scratch marks, crows or even doing nothing?

  • @Kebek said:

Let me guess whatever could survivor main think : "OMG no terror radious AND instadowns unfair OP please nerf also bring old DS back cuase new DS is useless, it's one time use so it's supposed to be strong."

You don't want opinions of anyone who is biased towards his own side, survior nor killer. GF is in a good spot (with exception of OoO). He has counterplay, he's fun to play against, he's decently strong. Most of players now see this so that's why numbers are so high on the vote.

I always use premotion, so I'll have no problem with detection. And yes, instadown is a problem for low-mid range survs, same as MoM in the other side.

An about DS, I think it should be 30 secs.

Because killer mains would cry endless rivers of salt if he was nerfed. These are the people who will consider the game balanced when they get a 4k every game.

nerfed. no one would want to play and the fact if billy was not viable any more. the game is survivor favoured. go play as killer experience it. then you might change your narrow minded view

How many times you get 4k or 3k?

  • @Kebek said:

Well over 300 people on forums voted they like the changes so if they nerf him they would just show how they don't understand killer power design and also don't listen to our feedback. He's almost perfect right now so nerfing his is really bad idea.

Yes, but sure 290 or more are killers. I want to know what survivors main think about him

If you play Spirit then you honestly shouldn't have that much trouble beating her. Yes, she could fake the phase walk, see what you do, then phase walk, but now you have a head start. If you move to a spot that breaks LOS and act unpredictably, you can avoid getting hit. I've done it. It's not hard.

"Do random stuff and hope she messes up" is exactly what you need to do. If you act unpredictably she won't be able to hit you out of phase walk. When that happens you can loop her like any other killer for a short time.

Also it's not always a guessing game, it's a PREDICTION game. You have to be able to read what she is doing, and you do that by understanding how to play her. If you are running directly at a window, the obvious choice is that you will vault it. She is predicting you will do that, so you need to NOT do that. Then the next time, slow vault the window. She will think you didn't vault. It's called conditioning.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/527802#Comment_527802

Because Spirit main's understand how she plays and therefore understand how to counter play her. I find it very easy to play against most Spirit players, because most Spirit players aren't very good honestly. I know how to counter play her. It's why I tell Spirit mains you want Stridor because it's the only way to beat Iron Will. The common counter argument is "well I have no problem tracking survivors in phase walk", yea because most survivors are bad at playing against Spirit. But get 1 survivor that knows what to do, give them Iron Will, and you could easily lose a game because of that one player. I've had players juke the crap out of me during my phase walk because they were very unpredictable. That's what you need to do to beat her. The less information you give her to find you, the more likely you will escape. Do I still die to Spirit? Yes, but it's usually because I made a mistake, not because she was so powerful I couldn't beat her.

"... and you could easily lose a game because of that one player..."

Lose a game is not 4k? Because I think this is the problem here, killers always want 4k.

  • Realism? Hundred of killers crying in a forum everyday? Jajajajaja

Oh yes, you've clearly want the game to be easier. You realize that the only killer without counter play is Nurse, right? Oh, and here's a tip, this community is pretty divided on EVERYTHING. So, perhaps when 95% of people say, "Yeah, that killer is fine." Maybe, just maybe, you might be wrong. This entire thread and your responses have just been you flaunting your arrogance, refusing to see any other sides than your own. Now, try to tone it down, good day.

"...So, perhaps when 95% of people say, "Yeah, that killer is fine." Maybe, just maybe, you might be wrong..."

Well, 95% of these forums are killers main who want 4k every game anyway

  • @Zarathos said:

Dbd is the kind of game where as you climb you start to see one side grow stronger then the other. Killer in low ranks is definatly powerful but as survivours grow more efficient the number of effective tricks that work in your killer arsenal start to decrease due to survivour competence growing. The game should aim to balance around high tier play but be more generous to survivours points wise in power ranks to allow the sting of being crushed being lessened. Maybe survivour scorong categoies like last man standing or martyr would be a cool idea.

The current issues now is that most killers are unplayable due to a large number of maps being too large making it so the killer has to cover more ground forcing exclusively mobile killers to be played in high ranks. Spirit, hag, billy and nurse all cross the map very fast due to there powers allowing them to cover large distances on most maps.

If you struggle to believe this then i encourage you to push your rank as killer with some of the midtier killers and see how you do. Currently dbd needs to tone back map sizes and improve some of the weaker killers. Killer like nurse and billy need specific changes i.e. Omega/extra blink add ons need to have the range reduced or stronger consequnces. Billy simply needs a longer cooldown on a missed chainsaw hit. Not leatherface tantrum level or legion cd level but a reasonable cooldown to reduce the gap closed for billy when using the saw to catch up to survivours.

There also needs to be some changes to existing survivour perk changes. Adrenaline needs to lose the health state or the ms bonus. MoM has to be way riskier punishing players who fail to prove there mettle instead of making it a low risk high reward perk. Noed needs to lose its ms bonus but retain the instadown so brute forcing loops with noed isnt possible unless the player outplays the survivour.

I have ideas for mid tier killer changes but they would take a lot longer to explain. These ideas are a culmination of my experiances playing both sides to a high level and are imo the most imbalanced aspects of dbd. Moris and instas I wont go into too much detail but those changes are again more complicated to balance.

Balance moris is easy. Like Overcharge: "a tremendously difficult Skill Check" to escape

  • Gen rushing needs a heavy nerf, without toolboxes it is already bad and with toolboxes?

"..even a 2k most of the time .." . You want 4k 75% of matches? 20% 3k and 5% 2k?. We want you to have fun, but this is a 7,5% of escapes as survivor. Play surv and escape 0 or 1 time of 10 games and come here and tell us if you enjoy the game.

  • Best perk for survivors. And you can use it in all games, it's not occasional like others

  • If you use OoO you don't know which killer you'll find, and it can be nurse. So, if someone use it, there's a risk

  • @Spicybarbecue said:

you should die on your second hook. that would make the killers scary again

    Moris :( Unfair

  • Add second objective will make games longer, so more difficult for survs and easier for killers. So, if devs don't want to change percentages of escapes, can't add new objectives.

  • @miaasma said:

    "use premonition"

    this conversation is over

Same as me days ago. Now I comment any comment but Orion's :)

  • I'm agree, if a survivor can escape if he unhooks 3 survs or cleanse 3 totems

  • I'm agree. And make killer's aura reading perks not work on survivors while they're crouching too.

  • 90% of killers are campers and tunnelers. The other 9% are sluggers. You can't do anything to avoid it. They think they had lose if they don't make 4k.

Only thing that can change this is play 50% surv and 50% killer.

  • @citron said:

if anything the ruin effect should be made baseline w/ no totem needed.

Yes, and DS for survivors should be baseline too.

  • @tennmio said:

I personally don't tunnel as killer. I feel like we are all in the game to relax and have fun.

We are all human beings that deserve to be treated with respect and this implies fairplay. I feel it's okay when s.o tbagged, cause i consider it a personal disrespect, although i usually just dc if i get tbagged.

It did happen to me that I tunneled without realizing but i usually leave the survibor on the ground then and try to find the hiding antimate instead.

Playing the killer role to me is being able to reward or punish social or antisocial/egoistic behavior.

I'm not a killer main though but i'm trying to play both equally often. No one is obviously able to be really fair if u are one sided. Acting unfair equals being disrespectful towards others in my opinion.

I feel like winning when i hooked all 4 survivor to struggle and I usually let 1 or 2 go (depending on their IQ and the amount of gens done).

I wanna say to everyone: Let's play fair, let's have respect and treat each other the same way we'd like to be treated, let's have a fun time together- sometimes winning sometimes not.

I don't kill anyone, and I have fun. More than 20.000 BP for all without B&C and 15-20 minutes of a very good match.

  • At low ranks, survivors always died in 5 minutes if killer have B&C. Most broken perk in these levels

  • @Devil_hit11 said:

I mean entire post complained about map design, survivor perks and generator being completed. Map design and loops have been this way for at least 2 years+ and they were even worse than before. Also a recent change to farm maps was boarding up cold-farm jungle gyms, so your information is outdated, inaccurate and false. Survivor perks vs killer perk balance hasn't changed much. Developers simply do not understand that 1 killer perk has to equal 4 survivor perks and none of them equal that besides Hex:ruin(?). Gen rushing is a big problem in red ranks, but that's largely because killers have no tools to stall generators. You can have Iridescent in chaser, Iridescent in devious(apply pressure) and still have bronze or no medal for stalling generators. I mean, kicking generators is a joke in regards to regression a generator, the perks they release to stall the game are horrifically bad and hitting a survivor repetitively so that they spam healing enough to stall the game out is extremely difficult for when players are good at the game(due to looping) unless your playing a strong killer.

"..Developers simply do not understand that 1 killer perk has to equal 4 survivor perks.." Perhaps you don't understand that this is only true if a killer perk affect only 1 survivor. B&C affect only one survivor? And Hex Ruin? And nurse calling if someone if healing another surv? So.. that's not true.

  • Also DC don't affect daily rituals. You can finish the ritual and then DC, and no penalisation at all.

  • @George_Soros said:

And I'll keep disagreeing with you :)

Really, having a free Bond for up to 25 seconds of use, with an extended range is not a bad deal. I know how annoying it is to find a no addon Broken Key in a chest, but it's hardly a gamebreaking event.

Survivor mains need to learn to appreciate those hilarious moments in DBD. Finding a broken key when you're without SC and frantically searching for a medkit... just have a good laugh about it and move on.

Or not. One thing I may go for is swapping durations of Broken Key and Skeleton Key. The latter is strong already, killer or survivor aura reading for 30 or more seconds thrown on top of that makes it huge. Whereas 10 seconds is a little underwhelming, even for a green item.

"...free Bond for up to 25 seconds of use..." Yes, and a free target in the back. Killers will always want to kill you.

  • With killers perks you can't be repairing, healing, cleansing or doing anything and not being seen. So, the only thing we can do is looping. I'm very bad at looping and I prefer to play hidden, but it's almost impossible

  • Open handed is good with kindred using ace visconti. I'd love to see a SWF with 4 open handed, kindred and bond. I don't know if there's a maximum distance to see the killer with kindred and open handed

  • Spine chill - best perk in the game if you're not a good looper

    WGLF - We need BP

Balance Landing - better than SB

    Bond/Adrenaline

Devs, we need at least 5 perk slots!!!

  • gen's reparation should be 50% longer, but there must be at least 1 more generator in each map (so killers can't camp generator so easily)

  • kindred+bond+open handed

  • @Tru3Lemon said:

You can tell the ones who are survivor mains and refuse to look at the other side of the issue. Just the other day I had a swf group running 3 Ash's so I decided to use hatchet only Huntress and took 7 hatchets in. When they realised what I was doing all 3 quit the game. I let the last guy have hatch. MoM as is rewards failure just like how survivors claim NOED rewards it. Protection hits are very easy to get. They had to remove the safe hook and ignoring instant down on the PTB cause it was far too easy to get it to work. Stop running around like chicken little and screaming the sky is falling. And yes I'm prepared to snicker at all the survivor mains who come in and knee jerk down vote this.

"..Protection hits are very easy to get.."

3 hits are easy? Perhaps if you do nothing during the game but running around looking for the killer and following him.

I think 2 hits would be good, and anyway I don't use it.

  • surivivors should have an opportunity vs moris, something like Overcharge's one

  • Remove NOED, B&C and moris
