You also need to look at other days and negative reviews to understand how much it was bombed by entitled survivors.
33-29-34 etc. negative reviews per day. General issues like reporting system, hackers, dedicated servers were always there and that 33 negative reviews represent them. I don't think that people just realized all of them in the update and gave a bad review.
It increased up to 400-500. Most of them were about the exhaustion changes. There might be some complaints from the killers who think that the nerf should be more severe but how many of them do you think were there? 100? 200? or 5-10?
It was a review bomb. You can say the same thing for killers and you can say that killers review bomb too but It is very disingenuous to ignore the review bomb.
I didn't ignore the survivor review bomb nor was I being disingenuous but if you look at the reviews posted during the review bomb. It wasn't just survivors and it wasn't just about how the patch was bad etc. There's quite a lot of the killer mains on ehre blasting survivors as a whole for the negative reviews while saying it was only 1 sided.
They also ignore how quie a few weren't even about the patch itself but those other subjects. One of these times I'll break them down into a nice pie chart.

Killers are used to getting shafted. That's just the straight up truth. Survivors go on about "whiny killers" but what happened when Survivors got a minor nerf to their kit? Massive negative review bombs. And you know what? It worked. They get their way. If you play killer you just have to learn to live with the fact that this is a survivor's game and you're just here for their amusement.I already addressed the review bomb in another thread and quite of few of those negative reviews weren't from survivors either. Some were from both sides and were complaints like the following.
So here's some stats from Steams store page.
Total reviews as of this writing: 144,753 ** (This was from an earlier post)**
Total positive reviews: 109,223
Total negative reviews: 35,530
To break that down the reveiw bombing total when it started was
July 25th when it started: 448
July 26th: 217
After that it started going back to normal reviews.
To further break it down a lot of bad reviews were for people complaining about the overall patch changes.
The overall exhaustion nerfs when they agreed with SB nerfs.
The players unable to join due to server issues.
There were several complaints about not having dedicated servers.
There were complaints from killers that the nerfs didn't go far enough. (amazing how it was review bombed by both sides but you all complain it was survivors only.)
There's complaints from both sides about the community being toxic.
There's complaints about the report system from both sides.
There's complaints about hackers from both sides.
Now if you look at the reviews from both sides some of them bashing the game have 0.2 hours of playtime while others have lots.
So there's a 3-1 ratio of good reviews to bad reviews and if you take out the bad reviews because the game doesn't have dedicated servers. The report system isn't working right now, the hackers etc, well then actual bad reviews like the review bombing become a lot rarer.

Around Rank 1 you'll find Freddy's,Hag and Nurse lately.... They manage to get a few kills but still lose
pre rank reset Freddy's, Hag, Nurse, Trappers were pretty consistent in getting 2-4k every game. There were even Wraiths doing it but usually P3 or legacy ones.

“I’m the long run” is the key phrase that bothers me. It’s basically Soon(TM). If they are going to change Bloodlust, better they do the smoothing out of phase 1 and 2 before doing what they are now.
Its been a constant thorn in my side with the developers. My grandfather always told me “Do it right the first time, or don’t do it at all.” Yet the developers seem to have no issue half assing things.
I think the biggest issue is the spaghetti code and it's limitations on fixing things easily. The devs have stated they want to rewrite it from the ground up or make new code but that takes time either way.
-
If you think about it long run ways the change with removing 3 is good in a sense. Because it's much easier to change BL 1 and 2 and tweak them until they get the maps reworked then it is to adjust all 3 in relation. They were talking about smoothing out the transition between 1 and 2.

Have you ever left rank 20?
Because on rank 1, there's a high possibility that every survivor in a match knows how to loop you. You break chase, find someone else and reboot the loop with someone else.Only certain killers are effective on high ranks.
Mostly you see Nurse, Billy, Hag is really popular right now, Trapper P3, and lots of really good Freddy's. IO'm not sure about rank 1 right now since not back up there yet. I've been playing lots of new survivors to learn them better and how they work to kill them better lol.

@Peanits Is there a way for it not to count a thread that you flag for reporting as a thread by the reporting person? Better yet have an actual spam option in the report dropdown for usage. You can also just make a few us mods of course.

If 90% of the totem locations weren't worse enough, I present you with this. I wouldn't be more surprised if it was any other map. But this specific map is the most strategic map for totems. Why would a survivor not be tempted to break it immediately? This is the reason most totems go off in the first 15 seconds. @not_Queen please convey this to devs.im sorry but the devs are idiots. they know about the totem spawns are #########. and they do nothing about it. i expect nothing but for them to make a mess of the game more and keep favouring survivors. they buff killers then they take 2 steps back by making it more a pain in the ass to player killer. pretty good job so far lol
So your solution is for them to place them where exactly? If survivors want to find them they will simple as that and on a small map there's only so many places to put them. I always hunt for totems and not just because they might have Ruin.
I hunt totems for objective points, DH, NOED etc and because the killer will sometimes get distracted trying to protect them. It won't matter if you change the spawn locations since eventually they'll get found and destroyed. Then we'll be right back to the whole blame the devs because gasp the survivors are using their brains to help themselves.
It's kinda ironic all the killer mains complain about survivors cleansing totems then in the same breath turn around and say this. That if the survivors get killed by Devour Hope or NOED it's their own fault for not cleansing them.If you camouflage the totems they'll still get found eventually so the great circle jerk of blame will continue.
The only way to get rid of the problems with hex totems is to get rid of hex totems and do something different That or you change how the hex totems and some of the perks work.
-
It's based upon x games played in x time of week or month etc. You might get a nasty surprise and actually get a ban when the next ban wave comes out. League used to do it the same way back before the system handled it quicker. Once they get the new report system up and going along with the other stuff they want it'll be handled the same way.

Sure a few times, but afterwards the survivors wanna run in circles again.
Feedback is completely ignored in the forums sadly, its only for venting.
In fact a strike or refusing to pay any more money is the only way to get devs attention (or review bomb in survivors case)
Ok just stop, you're embarrassing yourself here with all this strike nonsense. You're pretty much the only one that keeps bringing this up. The constant insults directed at survivors when it was review bombed for 2 days mostly because a jerk streamer said to.
Do you realize how bad that looks when most killers don't care about the strike nor will they ever join you. With region lock gone now your strike threats have lost all their steam. Now do you seriously think the entire community of players or the vast majority are going to stop playing and oru buying stuff?
If you do then I've got some prime beach property on Venus to sell you cheap, it even has a great view of outer space and no one lives there. Have you ever considered that the problem you have isn't that they ignore feedback it's that they don't respond to every one of the rant threads.
Just because you give feedback doesn't mean it's god feedback or that your ideas are feasible anymore than mine or anyone else's. I look at your posts and those of some others like a certain few survivors on here and see the same thing.
Those with attitudes that they know best and anyone that disagrees with them is wrong or a heretic killer/survivor main.I see the same attitudes that've been in every community as long as they've existed. You want changes now that you like, if you don't like them it's wrong or that the devs don't care and they're money grubbers.

I actually love getting P3, or the new green overcoat and dread locks Claudette in my Lobby. They always try and “hide” in the same spots over and over.
“Yeah dude, I saw you there. ALL Claudette’s try and hide in that spot...”
This is the point I keep trying to make she's not that hard to find if you know where to look and the black outfit excuse is getting old. They already lightened up that outfit so it's not all black anymore the same for ehr other ones.
If you're a killer since launch and you still can't find her then you need to play her extensively with full P3 and learn her hiding spots. P3 Nea and Quentin are a lot harder to find and Quentin mainly because you don't see him that often.
-
Ok 43 responses was way to many to go through so I'll only say this.
I don't have a problem with the bl enrf as long as they follow through with the smoothing between 1-2 and also at least adjust the maps some. The Barn and Storehouse being the 2 most obvious culprits while also giving survivors ways to actually be stealthy.
Sadly to really make it where it needs to be requires full map reworks and or completely new code to really balance things out. Because the big changes everyone wants to balance things will most likely take a while and or break the code if all implemented at once.

Since even when faced with the evidence in front of you you make excuses. If a top ranked killer aces them it''s because they were got lucky according to you.
I'm sure Marth and Tru and all the other top ranked killers including some on this very forum will be glad to know your logic. That they didn't get to rank 1 by being skillful but lucky because the survivors were bad.

are you seriously hearing yourself right now? if survivors let 20+ pallets get destroyed without repairing all 5 gens they must have spent 20 minutes with their thumbs up their asses doing nothing, because you only need 6~ pallets and a window to run a killer for 5 gens EASILY
i really find it difficult to believe you're serious, everything you say is absolutely moronic and foolish
it only takes around 3 minutes to do every generator through ruin
there will never be a situation where there is 0 pallets up and all generators haven't been done unless the survivors are seriously incompetent and cannot even hit skillchecks, in which case they absolutely 100% deserve to losesurvivors are in the advantage 100% of the time, it only takes them mere minutes to complete their entire objective, and looping a killer for that long is laughably easy
i find it hard to believe you even agree with the crap that you spew, Unnerving? don't make me laugh.
"They don't need all the gens done"
oh never mind you're actually just delusionalAll I see is you making excuses and using insults now to back yup your arguments, have you even played at rank 1 yourself? Here let me show you an example of how rank 1 and 2 killers do it.

Hey look at that, a killer aced us and we didn't make mistakes or screw around. I guess that means we weren't in control the entire time or we'd have all made it out alive in 3 minutes.
I can easily post youtube videos of killers rampaging all the time like Marth and Tru repeatedly acing everyone they face. But I don't really need to because we both know the proof shows your arguments have holes in them.

I usually gt it from both killers and survivors when I use it during a match. Because I don't run around blindly in full view of the killer like a chicken with it's head chopped off.
There is stealth and then there is being handed stealth. P3 claudette with ue springs to mind. it is basically the decisive strike of stealth, you were to bad to do it without it so you need to be able to crouch around a rock 2.5 times before a killer can get a glimpse of you.
I always laugh when I see this comment because as a Claudette main (formerly, now mastering Bill) I've got no issues finding her generally. Those that can't find her need to play her and master her and then she won't be a problem. I have more trouble find P3 Quentins and Feng's and legacy Meg's than i do Claudettes.
Yes P3 Claudette is a pain to find but compared to others she's not and if you know where to look you'll find her usually. Try looking for a P3 Quentin on a dark map and you'll be lucky to find him.

Doesn't work like this. The ping in the lobby fluctuates when the killer checks the profiles. This could result in auto kick if he checks the moment someone tries to join.
The whole high ping issue only exists, because the devs removed region lock last October. In an attempt to decrease survivor lobby queues. Since no one was playing killer and survivors had queues of 45+ minutes.
Now what's better. Playing with a ping of 250+ or waiting 45+ minutes for 1 lobby (only to get dodged).
You could still do the 150 but have ti set to a delay timer so if it stays above that for say 15-20 seconds it auto leaves or w/e you want but 10 sec minimum.
As far as last second switching goes I don't do it and dislike when people do it on either side. The only time I switch my loadout up in lobby is when UI see too many tb or medkits etc. I also only swap characters if I see too many of 1 character like say Bills and I'm Bill, Claudette's, Megs etc.

Both sides complain about things all the time, it happens in every gaming community. I mean heck Pokemon Go probably has the same issues there. But most killers aren't asking fro free handout anymore than most survivors want free escapes.
We all want the game to be a true horror game where running in circles in plain sight will get you nailed and hiding and being sneaky keeps you alive. Where we sometimes disagree is on how to accomplish that and how rapid the changes should take place.

It's clear that you don't understand high rank survivor play. Survivors do not want to lose the killer, in fact many will try to keep the killer on them because they know how pathetically EASY it is to loop a killer for 5 generators.

- Rank is completely meaningless, even the worst survivor could easily hit rank 1

- It is always the survivors fault for getting downed, they failed their easy mode mechanics and thus lost
if survivors get BL3'ed they absolutely deserve to go down, it has been proven time and time again that survivors run the game.
Ok yet earlier you used rank to try and insult my game knowledge and now you say rank doesn't matter. So that would mean you have no argument then since you keep changing what your argument is.
@yeet said:
If a killer destroys every pallet before all gens get done yes, the survivors have failed in every way and deserve to lose
So the survivors have failed in very way because the killer got kited long enough to break every pallet on the map. You do realize how foolish that sounds right, I mean if you got kited that long you let 2-4 gens be done.
That means you as the killer failed. They don't need all the gens done and if they get the 54th one down and 3 escape you failed. If the Doctor is in there and is running Unnerving and or Distressing games will take longer, Nurse comes near you then you don't stay on the gen and give her a free grab. If a Huntress comes near you don't stay near the gens and say ehre hit me for free.
You seem to want to blame everything on the survivor for when things go wrong yet ignore anything the killer does that's wrong.
- Rank is completely meaningless, even the worst survivor could easily hit rank 1
-
@yeet said:
if you let a killer hit BL3 you deserve to go down, its the survivors fault if a killer hits BL3 because they let them BL an unsafe pallet.
so if someone before you gets chased and gets all the pallets destroyed it's your fault you got tunneled and there's not a pallet around. That's not very logical there at all, it's like blaming your stomach for being full because your hand kept grabbing food.

I've had games where the killer 4k'd and they did it by breaking off chases and going for easier kills. I've had games where only 1-2 people got out even when looping. I've had games where not a single gen got done due to map rng and really smart killers.
This despite people looping as best they could and 360 juking, so yes I guess I do understand high ranked play just fine. I always try and lose the killer by hiding and evading, sometimes I get away sometimes I don't.

feffrey said:This goes back to what I was saying killers expect a free handout for their lack of skills and failures
Letting a killer get BL3 is a failure on the survivors part, survivors get pretty much every game handed to them with how easy it is to win.
Your logic fails you there, since if the killer has gotten to BL 3 it means the chase has lasted a very long time and the killer didn't end the chase very fast. It means that during that time 1-3 gens have been done because you even with BL1 and 2 couldn't catch a survivor that never broke los with you.
If you talk to all the highly skilled killer mains they'll say the exact same thing, if you get to 3 you're playing badly. If you get to BL 2 and still don't get them you need to break off the chase and go for someone else not wasting your time.
I've been in games where a killer chased me or someone else for a good 5 minutes and got to bl3 and in that time we'd get 2-4 gens done. Oh sure the killer would prance around like a peacock and brag about how they got the person afterwards. But when all 5 gens get done and 3-4 people escape who do you think won that game?.
As a killer when I get to BL 2 and I don't get the person right away i stop chasing and go for someone else, since it's a waste of a killers time after that.
-
The problem is that getting found is often quite easy for experienced killers since spawn locations are pretty well known. On Macmillan if I spawn by the groaning storehouse and I'm a Billy it's 56 seconds to charge to killer shack. I'm pretty much guaranteed of finding between 1-4 survivors all right there.
In fact on every map the experienced killer knows exactly where to look for survivors or where they'll likely to be given the4 time between game starting and killer arriving there. The games where you do spawn someplace unexpectedly the killer literally spawns on top of you.
The problem with blaming survivors for being found is that that game isn't stealth based like it should be. Once found the survivors have very few options except on a few mas where you can really break los and evade the killer.
But then the killer runs perks like Bloodhound, Predator, Spies, Stridor (Huntress hits you with random shot lol), Whispers. That's just some of the anti stealth perks, throw in Doctor, a 4 blink Nurse who can just randomly blink.
To fix the looping issue you'd have to fix the maps completely but then the aura perks for killers would have to go and tracking perks would have to change. Then killers would really have to try and outthink their opponents and decide left, right center, did they double back on me etc.
since they haven't done that yet survivors have to resort to endless looping to break los until they can try and get to a spot that has some cover to evade.

It's not infinite on demand if the killer is on your tail making sure you don't heal. The Nurse just waits for you to heal at edge of terror radius then nukes you. The Doctor shocks you out of it, The Huntress and Clown range smack you out of it.
That's not to say it's needs a fix which it does and i've certainly advocated for. But each time something is addressed killers seem to blame something else that was the real problem.

it always amazes me after writing a lengthy post or reply some people still just don't get it. Worse they think they have the answer. rofl.Have you stopped to consider that perhaps may'be people do get it, they just have different opinions of it than you. It doesn't make you right or them wrong at all. Just because you and or anyone that agrees with you doesn't make you right anymore than anyone that disagrees with same.
when their only answer is you just must be bad at the game - no they don't get it. Like the above post where he claims he loves the audacity of some to make vague statements when that is exactly what he just did. rofl. they have 1000 answers and 0 reading comp skills. Enough said. It's too early to feed the trolls.
Yet you ignore all the other posts where people make counter points and cherry pick those you don't like. What you seem to want is yes men type responses nt those that challenge your arguments. In his other post he said he tested the camping theory just to make a point about that single fact.
Just a few posts above that @Tsulan posted proof you could double pip without doing anything in 2 other categories. On this very forum there's countless posts by killer mains about pipping without getting a single sacrifice.
You've yet to prove that it can't be done because as you say the game is broken when it fact it's been proven you can. As I sated earlier did you damage gens, how did you chases go etc, how close were you to each emblem.
The below screenshot shows what I'm talking about as far as emblems progress goes. Since you can see I'm on the verge of getting a gold which would've made me get a pip instead of a safety pip.I was basically mere seconds from getting more gen work in then went to save someone from a hook which cost me a pip since they got saved before I got there.

Ive never seen killer mains collectively come together to complain about either of those perks. By all means, run borrowed time and self care.
The doctor is not an OP killer...
I've seen killer mains collectively complaining about SC and needing to be nerfed for quite some time here.
@Kuris said:
Doctor is OP now? So no more Nurse on rank 1? Cool!
Nurse is op too, but everyone knows that and i tried to provide something new. A killer that does that and also easier to miss any kind of skill check when close or huge terror radious.
Also funny when many killers say survivors should play stealthy but Doctor obviously doesn't let you do thatThats alright, just climb to a high enough rank and youll rarely see him
Rank 1-2 You'll see some highly skilled Doctors that regular 4k, throw in a good rng map and it's either 4k or a bunch of dc's. The same is true of Freddy and even Trapper and Hag are there now.

Like these fine gems here lol.
1st game lasted 15 seconds when someone finally found one of my jigsaw boxes. They all left within seconds of each other.

The Kate who was the obsession who just after match started saw my unarmed trap on hill and quit. I let them all farm that she screwed over.

I've got more gems just like that including killers quitting when they didn't get the map they wanted like adoc with Gideon offering and ultra rare addons x2. That was funny since he rage quit during loading screen after seeing a competing offering.
-
That is funny but I love the ones when I'm Trapper or Pig and they do the Swamp offering along with 1 or more thickened mist offerings. IT's 1 or all 4 within seconds of seeing either the boxes or traps. For some reason it's almost always Kate Denson's and Feng Mins that do it.

I have never seen a Killer unironically complaining about Urban Evasion, or even BT after its rework.I get it all the time when they don't find me on the occasions i run it and sometimes I'll run that instead of SB. They try crutch perk no skill survivor. Then you remind them that they used NOED and did nothing all game but hard camp 1 person.
IT's especially funny when it's a Huntress with Iridescent hatchets that camps the hook all game, I mean cmon free NOED.

The usual biased complaint with 0 arguments, stating facts that never existed. "lol, killers complaint about UE"
Now now even on these very forums some killers have complained about UE and I get insulted whenever I decide to run it on a freshly prestiged toon. Which is ironic when they use Insidious as a Wraith.

Tsulan said:Killers want a balanced game. A horror game where the killer is feared and survivors don't hold the power role.
Killers don't want to run for hours in circles. Which was never a planned feature, unlike camping.Every time a killer asks for killer buffs, survivors act like killers want free handouts.
Oh yeah, didnt you get the memo?
Killers can pallet loop and Freddy is massively OP. Anyone who says otherwise is a crybaby noob killer main who want EZ 4k's dud
Freddy is for rank 20 players, also he can't camp so he (for your standers) is useless.
Freddy in the hands of a skilled player is op at rank 1 and he actually can camp you just don't see him doing it.

The Freddy review bomb was in response to paying for a product and getting a significantly inferior product delivered. I paid for Freddy Krueger, not Sharp Hand Joe. Even the developers admit the nerfs were a huge mistake.
Killers review bombed because they got the carpet yanked out from under their feet with no warning. Meanwhile Survivors get PTB’s and EXTENSIVE testing before the developers do ANYTHING even resembling a nerf. The recent review bombs from Survivors is to prevent nerfs that have yet to be implemented. Hell, they haven’t even been put in a PTB.
There is a difference between the review bombs. One was in response to a no warning nerf that ruined a purchase of a DLC, one is a Terror Tactic to prevent an upcoming possible nerf.
I didn’t bomb myself on Freddy, but to me it was justified. This review bomb by Survivors to me is just a Terror Tactic to prevent anything more BEFORE the fact. Freddy was AFTER the fact for unsatisfactory delivery of a paid product.
At least you're honest about it, my point was only that review bombs are done by both sides and the survivor ones only really started en masse after Ochido called for it. I'm also curious how many of those were from FTP posters.
I gave the game a good review after the bombers and even called them out for doing so.
