least interactive killer during chase, forces immersed playstyles and hard counters are perk and map dependable. when a god billy/Nurse and good huntress steamrolls a team its because the player is good, not the killer, prove me wrong.

Nah you right, for survivors it's just a guessing game and tbh for killers to a certain degree but spirits actually have some info to go off of where survivors only have the whooshing that means shes in a somewhat close proximity to you, good luck.

it's a game breaking bug that should never happen in the first place.

For me, 5-6 games, 2-3 literally just M1 killer. I stand by my case.

What would happen if survivors couldn't heal/repair/unhook? Oh yeah, fixed within 3 days max.

I mean I guess you have your own experiences but tbh onis bugs dont seem to be a major talking point for anyone so I think you may just be unlucky

1 in 10 matches is already too terrible, since it literally disables your playability.

But that statistic is way too generous. For me like I said, played 5-6 games, 2-3 were bugged.

I meant it happens once per match every 10 matches and I use my powers anywhere between 2 and 5 times per match on average and it will usually just mean i have to click the button again annoying sometimes sure, but its certainly not exactly a deal breaker. Now false saws from billy on the other hand happens at least once a round to me these days.

It actually does in a way. You can completely be unaffected by a Billy saw if you sprint burst the moment before he runs into you. It's not i-frames, it's just auto-aim being horrific like always.

I mean true but you can still hit people sprint bursting unlike people dead harding

It means exactly what I typed, it does not work. I press CTRL to activate Blood Fury and there is no response from The Oni.

Try it yourself, happens quite often. Basically I end up being M1 killer.

I play oni fairly often and almost never have this issue, every once in awhile sure but like maybe 1 time every 10 matches

So you don’t know exactly what the devs are thinking

you don’t know what’s going to happen when the PTB hits live

and yet you’re going to make a blind assumption, with countless past examples that prove it wrong, and then get angry over it?

I don’t even know what to say here.

Such as?, what change that hit ptb that people hated and they changed unless it actually broke the game. I mean game mechanic changes not just number changes

Whenever I see people complaining about DH, it’s always the same complaint that using DH for distance is unfair because it has no counter. My question for these people is why do they not complain about SB then too? Sprint burst is an exhaust perk that requires zero skill to use and essentially can’t be countered aswell as it always gives the survivor a head start in a chase. So why do I only see DH get hate and not SB?

Sprint burst doesnt give you immunity frames.

right now I'm thinking about trying to learn Huntress but the only thing stopping me is that I'm on console.

I've also tried Oni but he just doesn't feel right to me.

Does anybody have any suggestions of who I can main next

Other games would be my suggestions

  • Just slug them if they're on the ground they aren't fixing gens and they need someone to pick them up another person not doing gens and if your find a chase then that's another not doing gens and if you're lucky you have one on the hook already which means no ones doing gens. Slugging isnt always the best thing to do and can backfire but if theres a risk of DS just slug them unless they're in a massive deadzone and can be re downed fairly easy.

  • I mean not anymore toxic then just using a mori I don't think slugging is toxic mori kind of is unless it's the yellow one

  • Neither I prefer wet dreams

How is it mostly in favor of survivors? Map design is horrible a lot of the time as dead ends are everywhere and killers are insanely fast 😂 are you basing your findings off of your inability to 4K as often as you’d like or just get anyone for that matter? Because I feel as though it’s the first one. Entitled ass killers feel they deserve 4K every game. I mean, 4/5 people don’t want to walk out with 5K points every game while killers walk away with 30K. So I feel like escape should be a more viable option OR just more survivability to increase game length and possibility for survivors to achieve plenty of bloodpoints in all categories. None of this one hit knock nonsense or Mori . It just takes people out too fast and if that means slowing down gen speed then slow Down the killer. You don’t need to be lunging from a football fields length away around corners one hit downing people with pig or just being undetectable at all and laying someone out so fast just for them to not be able to get back into the game. It’s hide and seek not seek and camp/tunnel people.

If you think this game is killer player that automatically says a lot about you as a player and I consider it a win if I pip, but if I get maps like haddonfield ormond or some other big ass map it's an instant loss for most killers against decent survivors. Not amazing or even better then average just a full team of survivors that slightly know how to loop pallets. The formula to beat most killers is just DS, BT, exhaustion perk of your choice, and unbreakable. Then you just gotta loop a pallet once drop it and move on while the rest of your team does gens. If you get bad rng and have very few pallets and windows you might lose. Or if you ######### up or a couple of your teammates ######### up. The only killers in the game that dont rely on survivors ######### ups are nurse and spirit, which sure theres an argument for saying they're kinda op, spirit especially since atleast nurse has a big learning curve. And if you read my Ted talk, gotcha ######### wasted your time

Anyone find it funny how this person didn’t phrase the complaint as “Allowing survivor teammates to farm a freshly hooked.....” good god entitled survivors who the devs cater to. I’d imagine this was one who couldn’t hit skill checks and contributed to the downfall of ruin. Natural selection needs to be let loose in this game for about a month lol

The hell are you on about I was saying that if you keep getting tunneled there are already anti tunneling perks and that if you have bad teammates your gonna lose anyways

  • I like otz quite a bit but I watch umbra way more

  • They can but they can allocate resources accordingly, and put more of an emphasis on game balance then cosmetics if they so choose it's not just because it's a different team that handles cosmetics bhvr makes the choice to spend time and resources on cosmetics, and right now I think they should spend some of those resources and fixing the game

Not what this post is about mate. xD

This isnt a build to play serious with, though you can still get good games out of it. This is just a mess around build just to have fun with and screw around with survivors. It's nothing to do with try hard or profit xD

I'm aware what I'm saying is that legion sucks and needs a rework. Until then if you want a fun killer play someone else, atleast that's my opinion and I don't think I'm in the minority on that.

  • Honestly the game needs to be worked on badly as the new content they release tends to just break more things and their bug fixes come out slower then they put bugs in and sometimes bug "fixes" break other things usually sound. They dedicate more resources to fixing the game and pull back a bit on releasing new content that just adds on to the pile of bugs they need to fix.

  • Step 1: choose another killer

    Step 2: profit

  • Keys, moris, ds, bt, and noed, exhaustion perks, certain maps, and bugs. Before someone asks why I play the game when I hate so much of it, I dont anymore I just stroll the forums for some entertainment and to see if bhvr ever makes the game more enjoyable to me. And not it's not their responsibility to make the game fun for me alone but I'm not gonna play it otherwise.

    Just finished this match:

    • All 5 gens done
    • No survivors dead as last gen done
    • 1 survivor hooked shortly after last gen
    • Killer closes hatch
    • Manage to get gate open with killer coming up on me quick
    • Turn to run out - Bloodwarden - that sucks - but oh well - I get hooked
    • 1 of remaining 2 survivors has key and they both escape through hatch

All this is fine. Bloodwarden is part of the game and it caught me. Keys are part of the game and 2 survivors escaped because of it.

Killer sends message to all the survivors. We're all trash for using a key. Ironically I got the message despite not escaping. Regardless..... he says he's tired of seeing keys give bad survivors a second chance to escape.

Survivors that escaped through hatch responded telling killer keys are part of the game and to get over it. They also added they are tired of seeing bloodwarden give bad killers a second chance to get extra kills.

The killer responds by telling them there is a difference because bloodwarden is fair and keys aren't fair.

It went on for awhile and I just watched without a response.

The fact is both things are legit parts of the game.

Here's the thing... they both made a valid point, and they both made an invalid point.

Valid points: A) 2 survivors may very well not have escaped without using a key, B) killer may have ended up with only one kill had he not had bloodwarden.

Invalid hypocritical points (made by both): A) It's totally fair that my side has a second chance perk and I should be able to use it. B) It's completely unfair that your side has a second chance perk and you shouldn't be able to use it.

The killer had an ace up his sleeve with bloodwarden. He managed to get one extra kill with it and likely would have gotten more if someone hadn't had a key. Kudos to him. Well played. Absolutely zero wrong with utilizing a legal effect to aid you. Tip of the hat to the killer.

Two survivors may not have escaped otherwise had they not had their own get out of jail free card by one of them utilizing a key. Once again. Good play. They pulled out an improbable victory. Nothing wrong with them using a legal item to aid them.

To reiterate, we can debate all day long whether this perk or that item or whatever should be part of the game. The bottom line is it doesn't matter what we think about something if it is part of the game. If it's part of the game it is perfectly acceptable to utilize it. However, to presume to tell someone they shouldn't be allowed to utilize every tool at their disposal, but you should is just flat hypocritical.

Hmm I'd say that the way the killer reacted was childish but I'd also say the that bloodwarden is a situational that requires proper timing and some luck to use where as a key is just an item you brought in with the only limiting factor you have is finding the hatch. So I'd say the killer has more of an argument, but I also think that keys should be removed from the game same with moris which are equally if not more op then keys.

  • Man its

I made a single mistake early on game and got hooked in around a minute. Killer is already chasing someone, but when I got saved by another player, he immediately returned and adamantly chased me. Unfurtunately, the area where I was has too few pallets and windows are on those parallel wall where outrunning the killer is next to impossible.

I'm always playing solo and it is hard to find buddies to play here in South-Easth Asia because of language barrier. And these frickin' teammates will just unhook me then hide themselves instead of actually helping me out. Allowing tunneling freshly unhooked survivors and saying it is a valid strategy is completely bullsh*t! Camping and tunneling is rampant here in SEA from purple rank and below. I'm trying my best to stay on red rank even though I'm not supposed to be there(I'm just an average player with average skills) just to dodge these piece of cr*p killers.

Wow man it's almost like theres a perk for that called BT and DS. It's also wierd how if you have bad teammates who sand bag you your gonna have a bad time. Also strange how you call a strategy that wins games bs.

Playing against better players than you will force you to learn and improve. Trust me I've been there.

Also, not gonna tell you how you should play, but the sooner you drop NOED and learn to stop relying on it for kills, the faster you will get better.

Sure you will technically get better but it isnt fun to do I dont wanna have to train for my past time. Saying it will make you better is a non argument. Plus no matter how good you get this game killers will always be at a disadvantage even some of the best killers in the game lose to some bs #########, this game is hardly skill based anymore, it's all just map and pallet rng which is mostly in favor of survivor

  • When I get ds'd after hooking 2 other people and then they just throw pallets early till gens are done and escape through hatch with a key, fun times.

  • Yeah it's basically just whispers for survivors, and one of the things that make stealth killers bad

  • @edogast said:

Does it really matter what rank you play with? So what if you play as a survivor with Grey ranks who die after 3 minutes in the game? What makes you think that Green, Purple, and Red ranks won't mess up the same way a Grey rank do?

It's all about perspective, you team mates die early? find the hatch! You are a Green Rank killer up against a bunch of Purple and Red rank survivors? well maybe you have something to learn about pallet looping and actual survivor team work!

I love the randomness in ranks because right now people in the high purple, red ranks, and grey ranks have insanely long queue time! If they want to play with people similarly to their ranks it would take EVEN LONGER queue time.

it brings spice to the game, some games I'm paired up with hardcore survivors who can loop 5 gens, some games everyone in our team dies within the first 5 minutes because everyone keeps trying to rescue and heal each other

Adapt, overcome, maybe the problem is YOU, not the ranking system

So this is bait in assuming as I'm sure no one could be this stupid.

  • @gatsby said:

I run Open Handed+Kindred in Red Rank games so I get +50% more range around the Hooks. And all that combo has done is make me realize that most Killers don't leave the area around the hook. Even Rank 1 Killers do it. They might kick gens or break pallets nearby, but they rarely actually leave.

We're at the point where Killers have an easier time slowing down the game by preventing saves than guarding generators. Getting a hook where the Killer is out of the 24m Kindred Range only happens if the Killer is running Discordance or Thrilling to know exactly which gen to go to. (Or they're a nurse with range add-ons and Make Your Choice going afk waiting to snipe the save and abuse the mechanics)

The majority of my games go like this:

    1 Corrupt Intervention

2 Killer Patrols Open Gens to get a chase

    3 Unlucky teammate goes down.

4 Three Gens pop around the time of the Hook

    5 The Killer proxy camps

6 Game devolves into hook trading and slugging

7 The game ends like that.

7.5 Or teammates realize that the Killer is proxy camping, finish the gens. And the game ends with 2-3 people dying because they want Benevolent points and feel bad leaving people behind. 1-2 people escape through the Gate because the Killer has no interest in chasing someone away from the Hook/Slug

Did you hear that killer mains the second you hook someone run to the entire other side of the map or you are ruining my fun.

  • @Fibijean said:

The devs have seen the video already, and had a discussion about it internally. We don't know what the outcome of that discussion was, though.

Well hopefully something is done and they don't take too long to implement something cause if the forums and twitter are any indication the game is hemorrhaging killers. Myself included I haven't played the game since right after the ruin nerf, but I try to keep track if the game ever improves.

  • @oxygen said:

In general nothing should be straight up removed. Even heavily controversial things like original Mettle of Man and Legion didn't just get deleted from the game, even though how they were reworked is a completely different discussion 😄

Reworked though? Yeah, for sure. I find the map pretty boring to play as both killer and survivor. Sorta fun to permanently block balconies that can only be reached through a window as Trapper though I will admit.

If it's been proven that they cant rework things correctly why shouldnt they just be removed or at least suspended till they do fix it.

  • @huntressmain03 said:

I have a passion against Haddonfield. It is by far the worst map to play killer on, there are too many loops, the indoors are completely based for survivor (such as the window to balcony vaults), and I feel like it should be completely reworked to a different map, or removed entirely from matchmaking. Thoughts?

Yes. 100% yes it should be purged from the timelines

Well tbh sound in general is borked, sometimes survivors will make no sounds while injured without iron will or no mother, shits annoying

In terms of map pressure, their ability, snowball potential etc whatever you think is the best killer in the game right now.

Also it’s worth mentioning what platform the killer is best on.

On pc atleast it's kind of a toss up between nurse and spirit nurse is harder to play though.

  • @Mikeasaurus said:

I really just want to know what the devs are planning to do. They've turned the game into a war zone. Killers are outright camping/Tunneling out of protest, leading to survivors now essentially being toxic and bullying the regular killers. One single update to a Perk and the game seems to have just imploded into itself and created a huge rift even worse than the usual one!

Just goes to show how thin that line in the sand was before.

DH is not nearly as “OP” as perks like DS or BT. You can counter DH. As I mentioned to another, it’s easy to bait a player to early use of DH.

It’s not really an extra health state lol. If that’s the case, then every time a killer swings and misses that survivor just received an extra health state. No.

I use DH because it’s just useful in certain situations, it is literally not a broken perk or “OP” perk. I have had it fail as many times as work. Idk man, I just don’t see a problem with DH. I believe it’s a well-balanced perk since there are variables that make it go bad or good and it still leads to you being exhausted if executed perfectly.

Sure dude you only use it cause its sometimes useful, uh huh, by this logic ruin was a weak perk since it got taken out early so much since there were so many variables that led to it being inconsistent like totem spawns, player spawns, gen spawns, etc. And as such needed a buff not a nerf.

  • @jarjargist21 said:

For weeks I been getting nothing but red ranks survivors ever since rank reset. When the last rank reset I was yellow rank and I still got red rank survivors. Now im green rank surprisingly. Can someone fix this problem?

  • @GrootDude said:

    “There is only one objective.”

Totems, piggy boxes, hook saves, heals and exit gates would like a word. :P

Totems useless objective wastes time, piggy boxes on one killer, hook saves I guess I'll give you that one, no one heals at higher levels, and exit gates are shorter then gens and if even 2 people get into the endgame it's a loss unless the survivors massively ######### up.

  • @LustForBP said:

There’s nothing wrong with DH in its current state. Most of the time it doesn’t even work appropriately. It’s a timing perk that leads to exhaustion and if done wrong costs you as a Survivor anyways.

    Next.

If think basically having an extra health state as a survivor isnt op your insane. Theres a reason so many people use it in high ranks.

  • The little skull just indicates rank 1 status, and the matchmaking has been fubared for awhile now.

  • @gatsby said:

When the game breaks down and you're just trying to stay immersed to get the hatch escape, how do you counter Whispers?

I honestly have no clue. They find your general area and just keep checking until they get you. And a lot of the times there's no easy way to move to new map geometry because it would leave you out in the open.

So here's the problem with this, whispers is a counter to immersing, so you're basically asking how do I counter the counter to what I'm doing. Also I dunno just use a key like everyone else I guess.

I would excuse the sound being an issue if it hadn't been a problem for so long and they just keep breaking it and reintroducing bugs, just got insta blinded the other day while I was facing a wall picking up up a survivor, and it wasnt a firecracker.

I've been playing with the TV on mute. It probably is better that way, because hearing an injured survivor for a millisecond before it goes completely silent again is more distracting than helpful.

Survivors also really shouldn't encourage killers to play slugging games by bringing three flashlights or sabo'ing all the hooks right now. I'm not going to be able to find them on the ground; they're going to spend four minutes bleeding out.

People seem to just like to waste killers time with this, and other things like t-bagging at gates and hook tech, which should've been taken out of the game by now.
