I feel terrible for anybody with stick drift who dares to play this game.
-
My buddies are relatively new too, however I had them play against Wraith a bit and they got better against him I would recommend doing that.

I found this pretty gross when I realized it. Gross, but not surprising. God forbid he doesn't have a teleport spawn every 2 meters. Compare it to Dredge who's just out of luck if there's no lockers, or Springtrap's static locations, or Unknown's limited and dispellable dupes. But this one killer gets the world.
Give dredge vents next to gens atp or force locker spawns next to them.

I do even if it's just for the lobby like the party in the slasher movies before the horror haha
the game has a lot of potential for player experession, without going too overboard with it. I'd love item skins for example like how killers get weapons.I think it being just in the lobby is fine, I just wouldn't want Alan Wake to start break dancing mid chase.

that happens regardless of a feature like this, it's so far and few between
We'll probably get emotes and what not with the new dbd version too, it only makes sense. No reason to deny the community fun because of bad actors, slugging is far worse for that anyways as is bodyblocking.
could do a kind of visual and sound feedback of the other survivor colliding with the pallet but not actually stunned, it'd just be hillarious to see a visual recoil when it's unintentional.I kinda hope we don't get any insane new emotes like dancing I like stuff like the point and come here.
-
Is that why I've been seeing those? That's insane we already have pallet density so he has more than enough spots to go to.

Never join the server lol its horrible there. but yeah totally im traumatized.
If Ghoul was added to 2v8 what do you think they could change about him there
5 dashes and instadown on grab obviously
-
Forced Penace is really good on killers that struggle against body blocking and/or thrive when there are grouped up survivors.

Which parts specifically much to vague for me to even know which parts your even talking about
For trapper:
Breaking lockers to stop cj tech is just dumb if you cannot counterplay cj tech you are just bad. They don't need basekit undetectable, also don't need extra gen kick by 5% extra at most 2-3% imo. Doesn't need a mini mori. Throwing traps removes any thought of placing them. You can forcefully drop the survivor any time it just takes about 5-8 seconds of picking up and dropping them.
Pig:
Never allow pig to see box aura it is will be very abusable. Same with the next few changes of "avoiding her power" or pig gets to see boxes. Basekit exhaustion should never exist. Literally all of these pig changes just allow her to not have to think at all while playing the game and removes any skill required to play her.
Deathslinger
He already has one of the strongest chase powers in the game it doesn't really need any buffs aside from increased reload speed.
-
Do you know how to make buffs that are balanced..? Or even just ones that don't try to give the killer everything in every scenario.
-
I don't understand why people always suggest insane trapper buffs he doesn't need as much as people think:
- Every trap spawns closed at a pallet/window loop near generators or trapper spawns with all of his traps
- Traps reset every 45s like Iri stone or 60s if its a separate timer per trap
- Basic QoL changes such as not running into his own traps.

Krasue is still in a pretty good spot at the middle/bottom of A tier if you run builds that are good on her.

It's not the trend I've seen. Sales seem pretty relevant. Krasue had the bad luck of also being designed alongside anti-tunnel but she was never really popular. Even on day one I only saw a few. And she was obtainable through shards. So they nerfed her. Henry hasn't been super popular either so he took his nerfs pretty quietly.
Jason is in the unique position of being long sought after, possibly being the biggest money maker they've ever had, and having a tremendously obnoxious fanboy collective that will definitely be loud. Much like Ghoul, this rep he's gaining for easy and cheesy wins will keep the money flowing, and I doubt any meaningful nerfs will happen for some time. Probably just some small adjustments. This game was a passion project once but those days are over. Companies chase money. That's just reality. The thing they have to weigh is how many people they can afford to lose in soloq.
I've played at least 50 matches agaiant this killer. Maybe you're going against different sorts of Jasons then me but mine have all known how to maximize his overstuffed kit and 9/10 have been using that kit to easily hard tunnel. I have never seen so much tunneling at 5 gens back to back to back to back. I can't say I find it fun to be hit with a spear through endurance and then rundown by haste so I'm dead 10s after an unhook. Or to be speared so I bounce off a nearby object and have zero opportunity to make distance.
In my experience, during solo queue killers don't really tunnel me so I don't really experience this as much as my teammates or you might. So my current solution to this problem so far is by playing relatively passive with STB, dh/sb, vigil, botany, and you just play passive and pre run until someone hits death hook and you stb teammate essentially giving you guys the win.
Either way this is my personal experience, I haven't had much trouble winning my matches as of late unless my teammates just let the killer snowball or they don't hide while on death hook and instead work on the same gen they've died at 2 times in a row.

why couldn’t cross-examination have the same balance cycle that jason is going through?
Because Jason is making them a ton of money. This perk won't. Neither would the changes from the nuked anti-tunnel ptb. Neither did Krasue. Neither did fog vials. Profit is the main motivator. Survivors can suffer for the meantime because BHVR knows only so many will permanently quit.
I mean perks and killers have always had different balance cycles unless it was genuinely insane. Krasue on release was literally better than Blight and almost if not stronger than Nurse. The anti-tunnel and anti-slug PTB were so abusable that people weren't even paying attention to Krasue which is why she wasn't nerfed immediately. Either way killers on PTB play significantly different than in games, sometimes a killer in the PTB is insane then it sucks in actual gameplay. (The Harmless) Same goes for perks, essentially what I am meaning is that most of the time changes aren't immediately needed unless it is genuinely broken.
I have been playing loads of survivor over the past few months and I physically cannot comprehend why people are complaining. Like my only complaint about Jason is that OE counterplay is a bit boring when spammed with hexes, aside from that he feels really fun to play against.

Funny that you mention Singularity considering he is also terrible unhealthy design that only isn't mentioned because he is underplayed and presumably clunky to use on consoles.
Since the QoL changes he's pretty easy to play on console now.
-
Same. I just had a match where every gen on RPD spawned on East Wing aside from one gen on bottom of main. I am assuming it is a bug as I haven't seen this until just recently.

How is it still useful? I just don't see how being elusive outside of someone else's chase is even remotely useful. They're not focused on you, so they don't care. If they're paranoid someone is lingering around, they'll still check the area. Anything outside of the chase, the elusiveness won't last anywhere near long enough to warrant dropping your objective to get in the way of a chase in progress and go back to what you were doing…
There's just nothing to warrant its use.I personally am thinking of it as a better old self preservation. Aside from that you can rat and wait for the killer to kick the gen then sprint burst away with elusive, and you can also use it for shift teching.
-
Rank doesn't effect anything related to mmr for lose who were wondering
-
Magi has some of the best edited videos and is an amazing plague main
Remylea is the best spirit player imo

I think Wraith is in a good spot at the middle of the tier list, if you're good with him you can hold your own against good teams pretty well.

So the issue is solo q players not having enough communication. Sounds like a SOLO Q ISSUE and not Jason issue. Maybe once they get the tools THEN we can touch up on Jason. As much as I hate quoting content creators… We should not balance around ignorance.
The game is balanced around solo queue so I personally consider it unhealthy to have perks/powers that specifically punish you for it.

If the totem build is really THAT oppressive on Jason then at that point it might just be a skill issue on the survivors part. Don't know how to put it any other way.
I main killer btw, and I just recently started my second survivor p100 grind woo. Jason can run thrill with ruin and pop his power constantly to force people off of gens and totems. Most Jason's aren't really good at this so there's that, but majority of the time it is still near impossible for solo queue survivors to cleanse them since there is zero communication.

See my other reply above, where I also agree that shouldn't be part of the perk.
Never mind, on retrospect this could be a massive counter to killers like Ghostface and Pig. I'd have to think on this further. All the perk would do is punish any killer that doesn't bring undetectable otherwise. So yes, I still stand by that this change was good.If the killer uses undetectable they essentially get lightweight and you can see the light from half the distance is my supposed change

Well, that's still four uses of that tactic, which specifically runs counter to CoB, per gen. How's that not enough?
Atp ruin + surveillance gives you way more value which is why I was suggesting at the fact it could be buffed.

Just revert her and keep undetectable on recall atp

springtraps loot bag+ security badge I like to run Rancor on him, when I think a gens gonna pop i head in a door. Sometimes the double whammy of Obsession not seeing my aura+ people messing around can cause survivors to seize defeat from the jaws of victory
I never play wesker, but when I do, his super lunge and super throw addons are fun. I think the addon that grabs farther makes you lose some hits getting stuck on nothing but abducting people and throwing them into completely dead corners is nice
this is the most basic unknown build but Vanishing Box and Captured by the Dark truly are his best addons and always will be. Spawning in Weakened will always be the 5 seconds that people are afraid of the Unknown
Please don't use Vanishing Box without Front Page Article as it makes it so you take minutes to gain another hallucination

Ive never used Iri Seal actually
If you're new to using it pair it with Rust-Colored Egg as pairing it with black strap can feel awkward for people who aren't used to his power as iri seal changes his gameplay loop a lot since you have to be even more patient than before.
-
Wesker | Lion Medallion + Jewel Beetle is strong and fun.
Jason | Party Noise Maker + Thwack! (Perk) gives you map wide aura reading anytime you break a pallet/wall.
Plague | Potent Tincture + Healing Salve allows you to get grabs preserving PWFY Magi made a video about it.
Lich | Robe of Eyes + Cloak of Invisibility near map wide aura reading and undetectable
PP Head | Iridescent Seal + Black Strap launching giant attacks that stretch across most of your TR is fun

how are they powerful? when i tried them you can still get stunned by them and you have to time them exploding perfectly for when the surv goes through the loop which granted ive not practiced but just seems like it just leans as more of a resource for survs to use than a resource for your own use.
So a remotely activated injury is bad because you have to time an aoe attack..? Even then it can only stun you so just respect it or you can activate it, walk through it and guarantee an injury or two tap. You can also activate it as the survivor is dropping it if you learn the timing.

Flashlight/Torch saves mostly I'd imagine.
They should remove the requirement for being in the killers Terror Radius due to the nerf they gave it though. That way it can at least be useful if the killer has undetectable. A reasonable buff since the perk is very weak now.
I didn't realize that it doesn't work with undetectable that's kinda lame.

since it’s pretty much unanimous amongst the community that the old lighting/atmosphere of coldwind should be brought back
For real, I dont think anyone actually prefers daytime Coldwind. I used to joke a few years ago that the game is becoming brighter and brighter every year and at some point they should call it "Dead in Daylight". And then they dropped the Coldwind Farm rework and it being in daytime…
I really, really hope that the graphical overhaul gives it back its old atmosphere. Lighting on Coldwind was never an issue to begin with, the bigger issue has always been corn blindness until they fixed it, but the brightness of the maps was never problematic.
I just want every daytime map to turn into a night map, like Ormond would look so cool as like a haunted vacation home or a spooky warehouse.

I find people creeping around waiting for saves whether they have scratchmaka or not, and yeah, Ghost Notes and Lightfooted also exist. A perk that might occasionally be useful in a very specific builds is yet another bad perk.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4092022#Comment_4092022
Funny how that works.
Well with elusive there's no blood or grunts either so I'd assume this would replace people using iron will and another scratch marks removal perk when it comes to flashy save builds.

Yeah deputy badge just punishes you for using counterplay its so unfun.

So now its just a worse jewel beetle.. don't get me wrong its a good add-on just works way better for Wesker.

God it's hilarious seeing killer mains close their eyes to how biased the devs are towards them. Jason somehow gets released in a broken state but god forbid survivors have a usable perk.
Idk more people in my solo queue games have started using his counterplay and I've had way better matches against Jason as a whole, he definitely isn't as powerful when you compare him to other A tier killers. Aside from that getting elusive 24/7 mid chase is insane its legitimately if we had lucky break on steroids and it worked while you were healthy.

what happened to it

@Rokku_Rorru said:
I'd rather they have just let the community see how much of a problem it is, then change it… that's the approach with Jason right? lol
Most of the time perks are changed right after the PTB, but for killers you mostly need data based on the playerbase as a whole

How does being Elusive help much with flashlight saves if you're already running behind the killer? You still have footsteps and breathing noises, and no one is running Awakened Awareness. Background Player is the much better option.
I always run light-footed but aside from that it helps if the killer attempts to look around for you after downing the survivor. Background player is still strong yeah, but I definitely think the perk has potential.

Low MMR - Killer wins
High MMR - Survivors winsYeah I've started my second survivor p100 grind and its just not hard, ill watch my sable throw 12 pallets and we still have half the map its genuinely so nice. Aside from that killer requires signifigantly more Macro and Micro imo.

i think hes comfortable to use input wise. i dont use his blood pallets, they dont feel worth using over just the dream snare
They are extremely powerful and great for two taps, if you still don't wanna use them just run the paint thinner add-on place them around the map nearby gens and mid and whatnot and you'll get value.

It gives you the same amount of distance as brutal strength, someone did the math its about 1.56 seconds of distance saved iirc.

Only working outside of chase works great. If a killer runs to your gen, crouch, they kick it, you sprint burst away with elusive. Or it can be used for sabos or flashlight saves since self preservation got changed. Either way it will still be really strong you just have to think about using it now.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4091754#Comment_4091754
How do you figure that?
COB specifically requires a gen to be regressing for an extended period of time to gain value. You're not burning through the gen kick limit if you're getting COB value.
Typically with cob I myself would kick it then wait for someone to get back on it kick it again for it to continue to regress then start chase with nowhere to hide or smth. So I would run out of kicks relatively fast if survivors were good.
