Are they the same voice actors like in the show?
No :( They could only get their likenesses.

Scoops Ahoy Steve right here, not WHO? I think scoops Steve will look better without his hat
Tis a joke. I think Steve would agree but then again would it really be Scoops Ahoy Steve without it?

Hey! Another Nancy main!
I’m gonna main her along with Jane, I’m so excited for her. Steve who?
-
I think it’s so sweet survivors can get married now!

Repairing gens quickly is toxic?
Not necessarily, but I would say purposely denying points - on either side - is toxic, which that can potentially fall under since completing gens = endgame.

Okay and "every time" I bring one I get tunneled off the hook to death. Things happen. Nobody has to play nice because you brought an offering.
Counterpoint: Nobody should embrace toxicity when party streamers are offered.

She is well liked in the DBD community. She usually places very high on voting lists of most liked survivors (male or female).
I tend to run into very rude Nea players.
Yeah in terms of toxicity I would say it goes:
- Nea - I rarely see a nice Nea, which makes me sad because I like her but I know when I see Neaon I’m in trouble
- Claudette - again unfortunate because the nice Claudettes are ANGELS and I like her as a character, but she’s almost as toxic as a Neaon.
- Ace - they’re either obnoxious or mean or both
- Feng - most I have run into are Evil but I also run into a lot of lost lamb Fengs and I feel like I’m hurting a puppy
- Meg - I feel like toxic Megs are secretly Neas with the stunts they pull
- Jake - he’s out there...waiting...a thorn in your side
- Dwight - BALDIES ARE EVIL INCARNATE and endanger the babies.
- Laurie - not as evil as she used to be but she’s still the mother of OoO
- Tapp - he’s kind of like Jake but on generators while Nea and Meg are peacocking aka running around for attention
- Ash - like Laurie he’s not as toxic as he used to be after being neutered, but he’s always trying to get in your way
- David - he can be pretty toxic but a lot of Davids are dumb
- Kate - I’ve seen some mean Kates but they were probably secret Neas too but a lot of them seem wholesome
- Adam - I think the mean ones are secret Claudettes but they just want to help their teammates and use deliverance before getting caught
- Jane - most of the Janes I see try to be helpful and probably play her for the cute fashionable clothes. Gogo boots!
- Quentin - a rarity, but the ones I’ve seen were nice
- Jeff - an angel, the Jesus of Canada he can do no wrong
-
I swear both the SEAL/SPUD dynamic and the chase/hit distance “passenger view mirror syndrome” are so true with me.
Then the matchmaker plays a cruel trick on me when I have had enough and use Impossible Doc on Saw and get babies/swf just wanting to have fun instead of the usual red and purple ranks against my rank 15 killer.
-
As killer I favor Jane (if she isn’t mean) because I main her and she’s my favorite - solidarity if you will.
That said, I actually think it’s almost the opposite? I feel like killers tunnel, camp, and mori me more BECAUSE I play Jane and she has a bodacious body...and a rather erotic scream when hit...
Let’s just say I get a lot of use out of ds on Jane in particular.
-
I third the ACCESSIBLE change to struggle. It literally does not have anything to do with players feeling pressured to stay alive because nobody feels that - what they do feel is tired, annoyed, and nervous at how much abuse their x and space buttons are taking.
-
Distressing, Unnerving Presence, Overcharge, Ruin is the best. Saw maps are the best offerings. Doc has pretty good add ons you can play around with - the only one not worth it is the knight piece and the donut shape electric field.
-
I’m torn because I would like to believe players’ better nature will win out and people will be more friendly and can organize party streamers and gateau seshs - but I know deep down there will be toxicity and backstabbing.
“Hi guys! I hope you have fun. I’m doing a challenge I’m really struggling with, if you guys can help out that would be great!”
”:)”
Scenario A: Killer is genuinely struggling and survivors purposely waste their time and deny points.
Scenario B: Kindhearted survivors try to help and get tunneled and moried for their help.

Yea but you can't just hide in some grass or in any dark corner as these characters unless you have certain cosmetics. These characters have to go out of their way to make it work. Claud is just camouflaged by default.
I don’t think that’s true. Claudette can disappear when you prestige her or buy her certain cosmetics but let’s be honest - new players will not be doing either until they know they enjoy the game.
And new players will not know enough to stand still right in the killer’s vision - they’re going to get flushed out like birds.
You got to remember and think like a new player - all of your opinions and biases stem from thousands of hours of experience.
-
Claudette is hands down the best survivor for new players.
I’m seeing a lot of discussion about how self care is bad and teaches bad habits but you’re saying that from a mountain of experience and a mountain of medkits. New survivors have neither.
I remember being a new player and I felt so lost, vulnerable, and scared if I got injured and my friend died. Self care gives new players confidence in surviving as an alone wolf and it gives solo veterans the assurance heals are always available.
Botany AND Empathy are both really good for beginners because unlike Bond, Empathy is map wide and provides the survivor with knowledge of where the killer might be. Botany is great all around but especially handy against Sloppy Butcher - a popular generic perk - and it encourages the survivors to want to support their team. I remember being a newbie and I was TERRIBLE at gens but I felt I could contribute by being the healer.
Tldr; Claudette is by far the best because ALL of her perks are useful for beginners that allow them to survive on their own and she is not locked behind a paywall. David is one of the worst to pick up first because he is NOT noob friendly.
Learning stealth play is valid and it teaches the foundation of the game. When players get more experience, then they can start playing more boldly. Trying to shoehorn new players into the run’n’gun play style kills the fear of dbd quicker (I miss the days I was SCARED to play dbd as survivor) and it might outright even discourage them from playing altogether if they run around and get hooked to death off the bat because they don’t know how that style works yet.
-
I would go with Freddy since you cannot escape him AND he deprives you of sleep, but Spirit comes really close too. The Grudge freaks me out so much.
-
I won’t get to play if it’s the 30th. :(

"The only hex that isn't instant and you have to work for" Excuse me sir, but Huntress Lullaby would like a word with you.
I mean yeah, you’re right but it also has the capability to scare survivors off gens whereas Devour doesn’t do anything until token 3 that effects the game even in a situational way like Huntress can.
-
I don’t think there’s too many perks, but I do think there is a great too many needlessly situational and heavy requirement perks in the game.
Left Behind is literally a waste of blood points. Monstrous Shrine is effectively worthless.
Perks like Buckle Up and Boil Over could be so good if the former didn’t have a distance requirement and the latter was the survivor equivalent to Iron Grasp.
No Mither - the “hard mode” perk has way too many cons to really consider giving it a go outside of memes. Built in stealth and blood point bonuses would really elevate that perk.
Solidarity and Flip Flop are needlessly held back by restrictions when they shouldn’t be since they already require a situation to happen - find another injured teammate to heal while injured and the killer leaving you on the ground for a while.
I understand some perks are designed to be specific or for beginners, but a lot of perks just can’t measure up to the solid and consistent use of perks like Self Care, BBQ, DS, etc.
Maybe perks can be reorganized into major and minor skills. Like you can have 4 major skills and 2 minor ones and minor skills could be the really situational perks like Open Handed that are hard to justify a place in the big 4.

What I love about Jane is how well her outfits can combo with each other. I switch it up a lot but my current favorite outfit is:
It reminds me so much of The Craft and that 90s aesthetic. I like to switch out the top for the bloody jacket and her bun for the ponytail with the bow too.
I don’t really play Meg but this is my outfit combo on her:
This is my Kate. I just really like how cozy she looks:
And this is my Nea. I really hope she gets more butch clothing and hair in the future because I think she looks great and I’m gay:
As for killers, the only two I have actual outfits on are Doctor and Plague. I have Leather Piggy because she looks badass and I got Spirit her blue school outfit because she looks cute and I wanted some clothes on her.
This is my customized Doctor:
And this is my Plague:
That’s pretty much it! I also have shirtless David (currently saving for either Victorian Nurse or Clark Gable David,) bloody Ashy Slashy solely because I thought Ash having blood on him would be canon, and Christmas sweaters on Feng and Jeff, but I didn’t want to clutter an already lengthy post.
I apologize for the poor quality of photos. I’m on ps4 and had to take them with my mobile.
-
Even if people are worried about breaking their equipment - it’s still a valid reason because replacing that stuff is expensive.
And I’m sure that bhvr would like us to use that money on cosmetics and not using those funds on something that prevents us from playing dbd.
-
Stakeout, Poised, Lightweight, and Deja Vu
I call it the gen master build.
-
@darktrix said:
So you want a NOED that works before all the gens are done.
That is literally the exact opposite of what I said. Read the post again.
-
In regards to second wind, sometimes that’s just the way the entity cookie crumbles. Just like how Doc can’t do anything against a calm spirit user.
I do think camaraderie needs a buff. The timer should slow when the killer is near and give a mini borrowed time effect to both hooked and unhooker - really punish camping killers.

I’m cycling through them and I still can’t tell the difference, and certainly not at 1800 a head.
It seems more on par with the brown head cosmetics the older survivors have.
-
@Rosalind said:
I don't see any point in buying the yellow heads too but at least they changed the color a bit for her green skins
Yeah, I guess. Although it would have been nice if it was slightly more different - at least I can tell her hair is a bit more highlighted in her “daytime” look. It would have been cool if one of her interview looks had bangs.
I still cannot tell the difference between her yellow heads though and they’re certainly not worth the cool investment of 5400 shards :(
It just makes me a little sad that everyone else has variety in their entire wardrobe and then Jane gets 3 of the same hair.

Definitely Legion, I'm a black/heavy metal guy.
Runner up though is the Summer BBQ theme, shame they didn't do a summer event this year, I was looking forward to its return.
I loved the bbq theme! I came into dbd when that was going on so I thought it was the actual theme and it got me in the mood to play a slasher inspired horror game! I was sad too when it wasn’t coming back.
Character wise does Michael count? But if he doesn’t, I have to say that Spirit has a spooky and appealing theme that doesn’t get old quickly like the others.
-
I bet Jeff will be for shards and then Kate will be auric cells only :(

We need shirtless LF.😏
A terrifying sight to behold!
-
Yeah I don’t understand shirtless Myers - why have that when you could literally have Boyfriend Myers complete with dork glasses and white bedsheet.
-
- Nea does not need more flowy hair and girly outfits. I would like more butch hairs and outfits for her!
- Quentin is fine. He has sleep trauma and drug problems - obviously he won’t look as cherub faced, especially if the Entity took him later.
- Nancy is better than Steve. I love both but I like Nancy more - and Natalia Dyer is so pretty!
- Hooks need to be reworked. They should be farther apart and more evenly spaced out.
- Claudette hatred will immediately lower if survivors could no longer crouch and block the hook. Fix that and I’m absolutely sure toxicity will lower.
- Old Freddy was great, he just needed a buff so survivors didn’t brazenly stay on gens and heal/snap out in front of him. I really hope a future killer gets his aura reading.
- Adrenaline is overrated.
- Noed should not activate if the killer closes the trap door themselves.
-
I think that might be too strong, especially with no serious drawbacks. Maybe if gens regressed by 15% and they had a 10% repair speed debuff it would be fine.
I think a better option would be adding a quick and quiet effect where every 6/5/4 skill check you have a 100% chance of not alerting the killer.
-
They’re supposedly making the grind a lot easier but I’ll believe it when I see it.
I agree, this game is not very noob friendly at all. It’s a simple enough concept to be sure, but the grind just is too steep and a little unfair.
I wish killers weren’t so add on dependent either. You feel pressured to not waste those expensive add ons.
-
I just played Pig for a couple matches because I have been watching scorpionz and I felt really bad. The first time I thought it was just a bunch of hooligans trying to derank below my 16 - they were brand new 1 perk level 20s. The second time I caught on they MIGHT be new except for this one toxic Jake, so I played normally but if I caught them fresh off the hook I left them to be healed - but I think they got too scared to rescue. I still killed them all in an act of mercy because I didn’t want them to stay slugged.
-
It’s a waiting game.
-
What’s wrong with Quentin? He has sleep trauma and drug problems - I think he’s fine,
-
Now that the Demogorgon is coming, WE NEED ALIEN WE NEED ALIEN!
-
We need an Alien chapter with a Xenomorph killer and Nostromo map with Ellen or Amanda.

You should play in a 4-men-SWF when you want to go for this trophy.
I only have 2 friends, and one has absolutely terrible internet. Feelsbadman.
-
If plaid flannel was like maple knight I might actually use the Nurse. But she requires far too much investment for me tbh.
Vanity Mirror should be yellow, or if it retains its purple status, it needs to be buffed dramatically because Scratched is so much better. Tbh memorial flowers should be purple because fast stalking is pretty powerful.
-
I main Jane. She’s older than a high school girl and she’s not a toothpick - and I love her outfits!
-
Moris can’t be eliminated until survivor equivalents are also eliminated.
I would rather see moris and powerful survivor tools be reworked.
Moris should be baked into the game on death hooks and last man standings. Let’s be honest, if a last survivor has a chance at a free escape then the killer should get a free chance to mori.
Toolboxes should be sabo only, and adjusted accordingly - consume more charges, must be done at once.
Instant heals should trigger obsession marks and can only be used on OTHER players.
Maybe moris can instead be killers either a) shortening gen distances by varying degrees or b) adding 1/2/3 gens to the survivor work load.

*Facepalm*
Do you guys even read what I wrote before commenting?
"This would help against tunneling, because if the killer sees at the start of the match that no one is the obsession, AND THEY'RE NOT RUNNING ANY OBSESSION PERKS, then they can tunnel survivors all they like and benefit from it."
Reading comprehension: a dying art and skill in the days of 250 character max status updates.
I agree. If the killer has no obsession perks and the survivors aren’t running other obsession perks, ds should only trigger brackets after it hits. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out if a survivor isn’t running ooo and if they’re not trying to get protection hits, they’re running ds.
-
I would like more significant shard bonuses tbh. And every devotion level gives you 2500 shards + 1000 for every level you reach beyond 1.
-
On one hand it would be cool but on the other I kind of like how they’re pretty much just skins because then there’s no blatant “meta” slavery going on. Overwatch is infested with this mentality and as someone whose favorites were on the bottom, it’s not fun and you cannot rely on the community to value diversity in play styles.
-
Survivors: Stake out, Lightweight, and Poised deserve way more love. Also deja vu with Poised/Lightweight is an underrated combo.
Killers: Lightborn is my personal go to “screw you and your items” perk since I don’t care about health kits, maps and keys are rare, and toolboxes are annoying but it’s risky to use HT on but lights are the only thing that actually hurts you.
-
I main Jane because she’s so pretty and the only woman that’s curvy and older than a high school student. I love her real clothes, they’re so cute! And her ability to mix and match is really nice. I kind of dislike her pleasurable moans, but she’s the one I gravitate to.
I also gravitate to David because he’s hot with his mechanic outfit/shirtless, Nea because I’m gay AND I WISH SHE HAD MORE BUTCH COSMETICS, Claudette because her clothes and personality actually fit me but she’s seen as toxic, and Dwight because he’s adorable.
-
Ruin has too much risk for the reward for me. I have been in situations as a survivor where it felt like a death sentence, but mostly I just power through it. As a killer, I just get really stressed and paranoid about it. Pretty much with all totems tbh, including noed and haunted grounds. And survivors find it, which feels like a waste or they destroy all the totems or ignore the haunted grounds so I would much rather have 4 perks I can control than getting whittled down to 3 or 2.
