I’m all for Plague buffs but I personally would rather see Black Incense baked into her kit. With Old Freddy gone, there’s room for a killer with strong tracking and Plague would be a perfect fit.
I would also like to see status effects, particularly exhaustion, and her terror radius being interactive in some way like Doc. I would like Plague to be the bane of a Neaon’s existence.
I personally dislike how playing Plague and against her means healing is off the table, it takes such a huge amount of pressure away from her and denies healing builds entirely. I would gladly settle for Corrupt Purge nerfs in favor of a Plague who becomes a vile force to be reckoned with.
-
I hope only charms are exclusive OR if certain skins are exclusive (which I hope not, all skins should be store available at some point) then it’s made perfectly clear which ones and for how long so there’s no making panic purchases.
-
I was looking for a video like this, very insightful.
I thought the dia de los meurtos skins and licensed items were part of the battle pass so this gives me something to consider. The only ones I would have a vested interest in is the Hillbilly and Trapper skins since they’re skinless for me - but I don’t play hillbilly and I prefer seaside psycho for trapper more if I’m investing money into him.
That said, the charms are really cute and a variety in cosmetics would be nice. I’ll probably end up doing what he said and see how far I get.

Wait the Priestess also got a new skin ? That's cool! Just sad she's not that great. :-/
Buffs for Plague! Buffs for Plague!

Yeah it’s amazing but it was overshadowed by spirit and clown
I’m disappointed in plague’s tho her skins aren’t that great in general
Plague’s is actually really nice I think. I might be a little biased as someone who loves her design but I think her blight skin is her best one by far. It’s both elegant and oozy goopy at the same time and it looks great in the title menu.
Imo clown only has the face going for him. The Santa skin is far superior.
-
Honestly I thought the Oinkers and Shirtless Daddy people did it ironically and because Pig noises don’t sound as cranky as other killers.
The Susie people though are really creepy and annoying. I don’t really understand how easier she is to cosplay when all Julie requires is jeans and a hoodie and a sharpie for the mask.
-
I just bought Plague so I’m probably getting Hag and someone else. Maybe Jake. I don’t play Jake but for free that’s a nice outfit.
-
It depends if last year’s skins are up for serum too.
Miss Plague is my first p3 killer so I’m getting hers (buffs for plague!) and Hag might be my other choice since I have nothing on her. If Doc is available I might consider him because I love that man even if I already have a special outfit on him (Victorian with silver baseball bat.)

Yes, but Boyfriend sounds better and Lynda literally thought he was her boyfriend (and it just seems fitting given how people see Michael and act similarly to Lynda towards him lol.)

It’s not Jane’s fault Adam doesn’t have a nice pair of gogo boots. Or a sense of style.

They've said some items will be exclusive.
Yes, I am aware of this. What I want to know is:
a) what kind of items? Does this include skins? Or just charms?
b) Will any exclusive skins be marked as such so players know that skin they want is indeed exclusive and to act on it without preying on their anxiety as a consumer?
-
... I don’t mind Stephen King, and I feel like I have a pretty good sense of what’s good and what’s not. I would never put King in the same league as Twilight.
I guess my one quibble with King is his tendency to throw slurs around for no reason and describe women in very sexualized terms.
-
I wish there were more farmers this event, at least people who play fair and for points.
I keep getting toxic survivors who want to make me miserable and get as little points as possible.
-
I wouldn’t believe that malarkey about consoles being the reason for this nonsense. I’m on ps4 and I got all my trophy adepts with a good old fashioned 4K before they went and changed it to be impossible.
I think game companies like to use console as an excuse for unpopular elements in multiplayer.

It's good to pair with Unbreakable for when killers do just leave you lying there to wait out the timer.
I agree but I really would rather not take off borrowed time. That bites me in the butt when I don’t have it.
-
I wouldn’t necessarily say a strong loadout is indicative of being toxic this weekend. Mind you, it could definitely be true but first judge how the killer has been playing first. I’m just saying because I use impossible skill check doc and I used him to farm, and I wanted to experiment with thana/Dying Light on Freddy but I put in party streamers and played fair and everyone escaped.
Honestly I would say survivors have been just as toxic. Usually it’s pretty easy to know when a killer is taking it easy, and there’s still survivors who’ll deny points and gen rush. I don’t blame killers for bringing in strong stuff as insurance. I do blame them when it’s clear they have no regard for survivors gameplay and get them out asap.
-
I wish it was reworked so that survivors could still make a major impact without having to do everything - because doing everything sometimes is literally impossible, but if you’re good at gens or totems then I would say you can make a meaningful tribute to the team. It also would be nice if STEALTH was as rewarding a tactic as RUN AND GUN. Kudos to the player that actually plays and still avoids an active killer.
But tbh killers are the ones that need their pipping requirements reworked more. Say what you will about survivor, at least survivor adepts are still achievable.
-
It’s both rng and the fact that Freddy is second to Doctor in terms of being a bloodhound and it is double bp weekend.
For what it’s worth, lately if I’m not facing Ghostface, it’s Wraith or Demi. So many ghostfaces.
-
I really like how Plague looks so I’m giving her a shoutout.

Nah... legion is competing there.
Plague is safely not bottom tier.
I forgot about Legion but I still say those 4 are still squarely in the bottom.

by "event builds" do you mean iri & infantry mori Huntress? or sabo blendettesquad with Insta heals? these events bring out the most toxic cretins in existence. I don't understand what kind of person gets pleasure from causing others misery...
I know! You would seriously think when either party streamers or events are offered - but especially events - (lord knows enough killers just put in streamers for lack of pudding, same with survivors and cake) that people would take this opportunity to play nice and fair so everyone gets a slice of pie. Instead it’s literally the opposite and it’s really disheartening and mean.
I hope the old Hallowed Blight skins are still on offer too. As a Doc lover, I missed out on his skin. Not a big deal if it isn’t but still.
-
Oh my god
Are you saying that Plague actually has a build that makes her viable and feared in some capacity? I’m gonna have to prestige her again soon.
Also I really hope the devs don’t nerf her because nobody plays her and she’s competing with clown and Leatherface for bottom of the barrel.

It's not to smurf...
It's to be able to play with my friends who are new to the game..
You can still play with your friends. You’re not barred from playing with them like other games do. You just want to abuse and bypass the system so you can have easier games and mock low rank killers.

Jane. She’s the most stylish and her clothes are the best for mixing and matching.

Reading the responses to this has just made me realise that, on average, the people playing Dead by Daylight are incredibly toxic, petty individuals. It makes me kinda regret buying the game in the first place, because everyone acts like... Well, that!
"If you brought this game specifically to have fun with your friends then you deserve to feel bad because winning is the ONLY thing that matters in this super-competitive game. You should play with strangers and have no fun for hours on end so you can git gud and EARN the PRIVILEGE to enjoy yourself in our ELITE GAME" is the overall message/vibe I'm getting here.
Don't worry Devs, you don't need to fix your game. Bugs aren't gonna scare people away as fast as your toxic fanbase...
I would LOVE to just have fun and for others to have fun too.
You can thank the toxic sweaty swf bullies for making killer players wary.

And in the lobby the killer can see the survivors and their items and CHOOSE to play against them but suvivors can't see the killer and refuse to play with him. And sure you don't think this is unfair.
LOL do you know how broken it would be for survivors to see killers? Hey everybody! It’s Doc go put on Calm Spirit!
Not only that but imagine how fragile one must be to be like “Leatherface again? I don’t wanna!!! Wah!”
Grow up and deal with your 5th hillbilly match in a row. Them’s the breaks.

I would have done this already if I could keep my damn perks lmao..
Lol imagine feeling so sore at losing your gg ez games that you consider making a dbd smurf. As ridiculous as it is in Overwatch, at least rank gives you SOMETHING and the community is so uptight about playing different characters. There is literally no excuse for a dbd smurf - especially as a survivor - other than “I enjoy peeing in other people’s cereal.”
-
“You guys are so mean! Op just wants to play with his friends!”
Funny how so many high ranks have a newbie or low rank friend.
Also newsflash: you can still play with your friends. You just have to look out for them while you’re facing a killer your own size.
-
Pig, Trapper, or Freddy. Surveillance is great, Brutal Strength is fun, Blood Warden is devious.
-
Cry me a river. If you are a new player and you’re grouping up with a rank 1, you should know it won’t be easy. It should also be the rank 1’s responsibility to protect them.
At least take comfort killers are more likely to show leniency and mercy to your friend. Do you know how many survivors who were reds and purples with their grey and yellow friends showed me (a 14 on a good day) showed me mercy? None. They were jerks and I for one and I’m glad their day is ruined.
Still won’t stop them from deranking or getting smurfs - but at least it’s a wrench in their plans. Also dbd smurfs are sad and pathetic.
-
“Wah I can’t abuse the matchmaking and bully killers far below me because I want to play with my newbie friends and have easy games WAH”
I play with my best friend who has a terrible connection and I must protect her. You can do the same for yours.
It sucks that your friend will get slaughtered but why should low rank killers have to suffer and be punished because you’re in our lobbies and making us feel like crap?

Like killers don't already get second chances? You're already faster (most of them), and then you get built in bloodlust for free to get a little faster when you're failing to catch someone.
And let's not forget you've got perks to extend the game because you failed to catch us fast enough (Ruin, Thanataphobia, generator breaking perks), plus instadowns (ability, plus Haunted grounds, iron maiden) plus bad killer reward perks (NoEd, Freddy perks, Rancor, and, yes your precious moris).
There's a reason I try to always run small game. Every killer I'm facing has Hex Ruin and/or NoEd...and, yes, we can tell by how terrible you play that you will have NoEd.
Killers don’t have second chance perks in the way survivors do though. The only perk that comes close to being second chance is noed and guess what? It’s entirely in survivor hands. Do bones, no noed. It’s not the killer’s fault someone neglected their bones. I blame survivors even as a survivor who does bones.
Survivors literally have second chance perks but the perks killers have are not in the same category because a) their perks are either in survivor hands or the bonuses are negligible enough due to the game prioritizing the 4 survivors - ie. Remember Me getting gutted to nothing and b) the margin for error is a lot more unforgiving for killers than survivors. Survivors make a mistake? Exhaust perk/ds to safety. Killers make a mistake? It can cost them the entire game because survivors can pound out gens in under 3 minutes.
Also I really must say I love the hypocrisy about noed. A killer has noed so they must be terrible. However when a killer DOESN’T have noed or even ruin, survivors still act like little gremlin brats and even go so far as to mock them for not having them, therefore once again being terrible.
This is the kind of attitude that makes killers use Multiblink Nurse and Prayer Beads Spirit - when killers dare try to do something different, survivors still rake them over the coals.
-
Of course killers can be toxic, no question. We have all faced some nasty killers at some point ie. Those purposely dragging out the last death as a sign of dominance rather than curiosity for the egc, Leatherfaces wearing blackface who camp on party streamers etc.
But in my experience playing both sides, toxic people tend to gravitate towards the survivor role and survivor toxicity is much nastier and pervasive than killer toxicity. Toxic people tend to play together and it’s much easier and cowardly to band up against the 1 vs the 1 against 4. Survivors will also rub it in a killer’s face as long and as obnoxiously as possible.
Killers are also more likely to play fair in an uneven match and show kindness. Survivors sense things are in their favor and they bully and milk points while the killer gets squat. Rarely have I ever seen a survivor willingly sacrifice themselves so the killer could have SOMETHING. Even getting hit, survivors taunt and refuse to let the killer touch them before scooting out in a sure escape. Last night I gave myself up to a beginner nurse who got the snot kicked out of her by the other 3, and she downed me and took me back to the exit gate still even when I indicated it was okay for her to kill me.
The simple truth is survivors are more toxic - 4x as toxic to be exact. Toxic killers exist but it’s nowhere on the same level as survivor.
-
Don’t ya know dc stands for Darn Cowards?
There is very little room for a plausible excuse to dc. Real life emergencies, and perhaps getting one of those nasty bugs that prevents you from doing anything are the only ones I can think of.
I do have to say that there should be punishment for players who purposely go out of their way to make others think the only satisfaction from the match is to dc though. How small hearted and cruel do you have to be to enjoy inflicting misery on someone wanting to have fun?
-
I play both, I get both. Yet for some reason the algorithm loves giving me killer dailies I would rather avoid.
-
Hey!!! Another Brutal Strength fan! I just really like breaking stuff with it. It sounds nice and snappy.
Lately, I’ve been feeling Play With Your Food and Deerstalker.
-
Because toxic survivors know full well the advantages they can exploit and they can sniff out real quick the killers they know they can beat. It’s pure smallness and cowardice.
Killers can be toxic too but survivor toxicity is 4x more prevalent and nasty. It’s also been my experience that killers are far more likely to be kind and fair in an uneven match. The worst a killer can do is kill you quickly before you gain anything substantial - survivors go out of their way to make killers miserable and rub it in their faces as long as they can in the most obnoxious ways.
-
I think they did a really good job with the rework - I actually like it - something I definitely could not say about Overwatch and Symmetra. To this day I am bitter at how Blizzard used disabled players to make their game seem diverse and open to a variety of play styles only for them to shove us out the door when esports came into play.
But I do miss my aura reading. I loved not fearing corn maps and seeing all ala Magenta in Rocky Horror. It also felt pretty good to sleep someone who just woke up. Old Freddy also had some devious builds and I loved his add ons. Tbh New Freddy only disappoints me in regards to some of his pathetic add ons. Rip drawings and sleep blocks.
I hope in the future they return to the idea of an aura reading killer.

Yeah. I wish that Green Keys in chests always came with Wedding Rings. Then I'd stop whining.
I don’t know what rings do, but if they actually make the key functional then I’m all for it. Every other green item is guaranteed to be a boon to your kit - but green keys without ace is an actual waste of space - unnecessary too when you figure how expensive they are. Clear regents and shrouds are more useful than green keys.
-
@Horus said:
No not only will make escapes easier and happen more often but people want keys and other things removed or nerfed so the likelyhood that happenings is very low
I agree to an extent that keys should be looked at (because there’s nothing more fun than survivors cutting out right in front of you, same deal as the survivor left behind - doesn’t feel fair at all) but right now getting green keys in chests without the aid of ace or plunderer’s is literally worthless.
Perhaps it’s even a hindrance to observant killers who see you have a key, yet they can’t see it’s harmless.
-
@THEghostface said:
The aura detection of the perk relies on the user's location on the map. Imagine a guy wants to find totems, but 3 gens pop simultaneously, giving him only the aura range of the area they stood in that moment.
That’s a risk that currently happens anyway, and a risk that seems fair too since it’s essentially a free rainbow map.
Untying the specific gen requirement would actually give the perk more fluidity and freedom.
-
As someone else said in another thread, I think the main problem is a survivor’s ability and lack of fear in having extended chases. Safe paths for survivors + large map sizes are also not a fun combination for killers.
But I also think removing survivors ability to gen tap would do wonders for this issue too. Make them stay on a gen as long as a killer takes to break it before regression ceases.

I feel like faster vault speed would be so much better. You'd be able to run loops better like BL can make some "loops" better. Also imagine NOT getting hit by wonky hitboxes AFTER you already vaulted a pallet and were away from it.
You’re saying you want more quasi infinites in the game? No thank you. Survivors have too many safe routes to circumvent the map which extends chases much longer than they should.
-
For survivor, Poised - especially with the dark sense buff - is really underrated and makes for fun perk combos. Stake out and Lightweight are also really underrated because on paper they don’t sound like much, but you literally never have to worry about ruin and it’s almost like a budget spine chill, and lightweight really is more effective than you think at tier 3, especially with drop points and line of sight breaks.
For killer, I’m going to give Bloodhound, Lightborn, and Brutal Strength a shout out. Flashlights bother me the most and it’s great seeing a cocky survivor realize their pallet blind is bs, Bloodhound is great for tracking and is far less likely to screw up than scratch marks, and Brutal Strength is just neat and saves some time as well as being acoustically pleasant.
-
@brokedownpalace said:
Yeah it's a very underwhelming perk that people never talk about.
I think it could be an underrated perk like Poised (fight me, people who think it sucks) but the requirement where you personally must finish a generator is very limiting for a number of circumstances.

Bc adrenaline requires you to reach end game and activate only once. This is literally a safer selfcare.
I kinda see this has too many steps and understand what you mean. Although at the same time I see how OP this could easily become.
But isn’t second wind one time only?
-

I agree with Mochan. If I see you heal and understand you have such a crutch perk I'm killing you so I don't have a headache later.
How is it a crutch headache perk? Isn’t it literally just a heal over time perk? How is it on par with something like Adrenaline?
-
Body? Picked up.
Wig? Snatched.
Hotel? Trivago.
-
Legion has always been problematic. They were never good - Legion just had exploits and extremely unfun mechanics. Say what you will about Doctor, but he has counterplay and he can’t hurt anyone in therapy and he’s actually quite fun to play and verse.
Old Legion either felt like overextending chases and giving survivors free sprint burst or Legion would use unfair mechanics to ensure an inescapable down. Not fun for either side.
Now, Legion is in a place that CAN be buffed because as toothless as they are right now, they’re in a much healthier state.
I personally would advocate for a rework that utilizes their lore as a delinquent murder squad.
-
I would MUCH rather see The Shining, Misery, and Gerald’s Game than It tbh. Also how cool would it be to have a wheelchair user as a survivor!!
