Strange, I just came back to the game after a 2 month break due to a similar problem. My que times for both killer and survivor are up. Then again I am making the climb back to red/purple, so it might be your tank.

Because you DID get outplayed by the person and not the character. So even if it feels otherwise the issue isn't a mechanical one and thus doesn't necessarily require a mechanical solution.
This is a late response,but...
What I mean by being beat by the character vs the player are the instances where I lose just because of who I was facing rather than the player being skilled. This is easier to swallow when other killers employ it because their braindead tactics have an obvious counter. If I lose to a camping Ghostface or Bubba, or an BBQ zipping Billy that's on me. Their low skill tactics are easy to employ but are also easy to counter. The Spirit gets a big results for a using a strat of that caliber except it's easier to do and more effective.

It's less about the chase time and about how it ends. A short chase done by anyone else feels like you got outplayed by the player.In the case of the Spirit, it feels more like you got outplayed by just the character not the person behind the character.

@BBQnDemogorgon This game's barely scratches the surface of gaming toxicity. Hell I'd say this is the least toxic game I play. If you want a wholesome community you'll need to find a more niche game. Anything that's even slightly mainstream gets filled with this type of conduct.

I don't DC cause it's for chumps, but teabagging and waiting at the gates just makes me feel better than my opponent.
If I know the team is gonna dive bomb the hook I'll stick around and if find myself spending too much time on a survivor to the point of the game being lost, it's already at the point of no return so I might as well take someone down with me.

@arslaN Small Game works against fake pallets, so there is some counter to it that makes it less of memorization game.

Honestly, fix the 99% start-up fail and make beast marks base kit. I'd be pretty happy as a LF user.

@ProfessorDunwich Playing for yourself doesn't necessarily mean camping the hatch. F13 is still fairly active on PS4, especially if you're in the general or a specialized community.

Not a solution, but have you tried playing with a different mindset? In F13, people play selfishly all the time. Why not take a gander at lone wolf style.

My argument is that the grind is part of the process. It's manageable as a survivor and tolerable as killer, if you don't try to do it all at once. If you're playing a fighter and try to main 5 people, you're gonna come up short compared to the guy who focuses on one character. The reason you're having a hard time is because you're taking the hard route.@Theoretical_Heart

Then everyone would get the go to perks. The system as it is kinda forces you to try things you wouldn't want and it gave me some underdog favs. I can see were you're coming with the Killer aspect, since they're more perk reliant, but I like the grind. @Theoretical_Heart

@Theoretical_Heart If you weren't trying to get all the impactful perks you wanted and basically playing all the killers at the same time, the task of getting what you wanted wouldn't seem so unreasonable. So to answer your question both.

@Rydog This game constantly updates. Don't act like you bought this at launch. Humble Bundle,PSN, Steam Sales, this game is sold for dirt cheap constantly. You don't need the DLC for the new maps you could have all the perks and several cosmetics without paying for a damn thing. It's like you assume that since you bought this game and some dlc that you deserve their services indefinitely. That's not how gaming as a service works.

Not worth the time or the money. What you can get with shards were never impressive anyway. Not a big loss IMO.

@Endstille Also you don't have to pay for the killers and survivors especially since most of all meta perks are in vanilla. This is not to even mention the shrine.

@Endstille How is it that you can be so passionate about something and at the same time be so dense about it. When you bought this game you were buying how it was at that moment. You're not entitled to shards or the cosmetics that they release. The fact that you can get stuff(DLC and cosmetics) with free in-game currency is generous enough. You already got what was promised to you at the initial investment.
Keep in mind that cosmetics have no bearing on gameplay.

@Noobe The battlepass is meant for those that believe 10 days is enough (as in the dedicated DBD players). I'm not gonna trip over an event, but I can totes see how to some people it would seem unbearably short.

@Spork This isn't Koei charging 3.99 for character portraits that were in the last game, this isn't Battlefront 2 having loot boxes for game altering perks, and it sure isn't 2k's casino fiasco. You're making an issue of something that has no bearing on you at all. They're cosmetics. If your will power is so weak that a simple device like a battlepass will have you enslaved, then you have bigger problem then DBD.

I'd hate to say this but most people aren't "supporting" them the way you do. Have you seen the amount of comments that complain about X or Z not being on the shrine. People wait months to avoid paying for 5 dollar dlc. All I'm saying is if a battlepass is what it takes for the game to remain a constant, who cares? They're cosmetics.

@WickedMilk03 I saw the leaks. What I meant by that was that most likely the rift will only include the og characters and rarely at times the license. It just doesn't make sense for someone like me.
When I'm on a roll as LF it's amazing,but when it's bad, it's BAD. I tend to notice that I either snowball and 4k or get the pity 1k.
