Great! Your a classy man! bring it in "('=')/"
YAY. I made a post in this forum a while back to ask "what is a win in dbd for you " or something similar and the responses where really varied. Some said kills ,others said bloodpoints ,others said "TOXIC TBAGS DEDEDEDED!!"#!T!" , Others said both points, pips and kills, ect... it was really diverse.
Mine is either a 1 man and pip or 2 man. Safetys are draws. Depips are loss. BUT loss with good end game chat is good too. No end game chat is whatever and "FOOKING TUNNER!!/!/!/!( and similar)" is either very funny or sad.

My issue is that I guess they want nurse to be the only killer it seems like because most things that hinder other killers don't hinder nurse. Every other killer can get looped into oblivion. Hence Nurse is the only real viable killer who can actually kill without worrying about survivor BS. Bloodlust never did me much good but they are nerfing it anyway for some reason...of course nurse doesn't need bloodlust so...Nurse isn’t the only viable killer. All the killers are viable people just don’t want to take the time and learn how to play smart.
Yeah you keep thinking that.

You only need to change one value to make strong and viable as well. Her trap placement speed.

Urban is great for her. You dont trigger the trap randomly. You keep it for chases. And the camera swing is like leatherface's 3 chainsaw hits part of the power.
I think it's cheap, unfair, and annoying after the first time. It's useful for the jumpscare atmosphere, but I don't think it's intended to completely disorient a player again and again. It goes against the devs motto of not taking control away from the player. There's no skill or strategy needed on behalf of the killer with the camera flips. And whether you are completely screwed by the camera flip is up to chance as the survivor.
Actually the best hag mains and similar activelly use that mechanic by learning the trap placement and all of the survivor's possible routes too. The traps's exact placement is key to it and it takes lots of time to do it perfectly. There are tons of mindgames with it its insane. I have to then disagree with the "no skill or strategy needed on behalf of the killer with the camera flips" sentence. Now hag is 3rd best . Bye bye huntress.
The trap placement is for teleport mindgames, not camera flip mindgames. I highly doubt anyone thinks about "oh if I place this trap here, the survivor's camera will turn in this way when theyre walking in this direction and they'll have a 10% chance of getting confused!" more than just threatening a teleport slap to shut down a loop.
And if somehow you are calculating an entirely luckbased mechanic, congratulations, you must be the best Hag player in the world with 900IQ.

It's pretty sad that a seemingly unfixable "exploit" can become a two year old game's most usable strategy . It´s not a bug, it´s a feature! You're joking, but it actually is. If there was no looping, chases would end pretty immediately most of the time. There's not very many features that encourage hiding. The red strikes are incredibly easy to follow, so if you're not running perks to make them vanish then evading a killer in chase is near impossible given the large speed differential. I'm not saying looping is fun for everyone, but it's not like it's a bug or exploit anyone is using to break the game. It's just literally the only mechanic that was working in for the survivor side of chases.
But devs have stated chases were never meant to take long. You basically admitted not looping would mean the game was being played as envisioned. You're right that it isn't technically an exploit but it negates the speed advantage the killer was always intended to have which actually does break the game. Looping is the root cause of major game troubles. It caused pallet reduction and nerfs and dilated chase time means gens are too fast ( the gen rush effect). The unintended use of the smaller collision box that allows looping is creating a cascading negative effect on the game.
The devs say a lot of things. I've also heard them say that stealth isn't supposed to be a mechanic, which seems counter intuitive if they want chases to be short and anyone to play survivor for longer than a match or two.
I agree about the generator issue-- something about the mechanic of the game is fundamentally broken. It puts a lot of pressure on the very start of the match to go somewhat flawlessly for the killer, or for the survivors to make major mistakes later on. Neither of those are particularly fun scenarios.
That being said, I don't really feel like looping could be removed from the game as the game currently is. I don't know what a better solution is, unfortunately, but it would be nice to find some sort of middle ground where killers aren't rushed first thing in the game and survivors have at least some hope of escaping a few chases here and there.
Add more areas with sight blockers and make the hit box the same size.
Survivors will cry that it's impossible to lose the killer, but do it anyway. Just like they did with flashlights. And back in the days of no noise mufflers in lockers or the louder sounds for moaning.

DS and NOED are part of the game and most likely here to stay however with that being said they may need to be adjusted/tweaked. I will leave that up to the devsExplain to me how being "part of the game" makes it acceptable? Infinites were once part of the game. Instant-fix BNP was once part of the game. Tinkerer 2 bug was part of the game (until today). SWF is part of the game. Stacking purple mist is part of the game.
Just because it's "part of the game" doesn't automatically make it okay.
Infinites were survivors using obstacles in the game to create a never ending running loop. The obstacles are still in the game but were as i said adjusted.
BNP is still in the game and was tweaked to make it less powerful however still part of the game
Tinkerer 2 was an unforeseen bug that they fixed but the perk itself is still part of the game.
Thus making all of these acceptable by design. However due to player feedback on fun and enjoyment around these perks is when the devs decide to change them.
Dont forget looping the "bug" to put it mildly that got turned into a mechanic (of sorts).

https://youtu.be/DsRO2_gbq7k?t=6m53s"Get rid of Decisive, Insidious, and NOED and rank would be a lot more skill based."
He is 100% right. DS and NOED are crutch perks for bad players. Killers defend NOED until they are blue in the face but at the end of the day it's there as a comeback mechanic for when you fail, making it a crutch (just like DS). If you need this perk to get kills, accept that you aren't as good a killer as you might think. And if you complain about DS but use NOED you are nothing but a hypocrite.
I agree with him on Insidious only because it makes people play like trolls, not necessarily because it's a crutch. With a few tweaks I think it could be salvaged.
BTW I got to rank 1 with Freddy without using NOED, just incase someone wants to tell me "git gud". Also I'm sure some killer main will say something like "Tru is a bad killer" as a way to dismiss his statements, when the truth is they just can't stand when one of their own actually tells it how it is.
Come at me.
NOED at least for me personally is when the gens get done too quickly and i dont use ruin (it goes in like 30 seconds at worst) and its all right because the gens get usually done really quick and there is nothing i can do regardless (unless i dedicate my time playing nurse but its pysically impossible for me due to ######### fps.)
Its not that i want necessarilly to use it. Its either that or no killing power at the end game (assuming they dont destroy the totems preventing it which is the true thing that differenciates it from DS (hence why many including me think NOED is not DS)).
And i used to not use it and i was still dependent on if the survivors sucked (as will probably always be unfortunally).

New Tinkerer isn't bad, minus all the people who are exploiting the bug. I played against a handful of hillbillies who thought it was hilllllarrrrious to play Tinkerer 2 and then just slug everyone in the match as soon as one generator was started. Yeah that's really fun, being slugged on the ground in a minute because you're basically exploiting a broken system. A+.Like survivors don't exploit enough for wins? Just sayin lol
Oh please.
Of course there are some survivors who exploit BUGS for wins, but the number of people I ran into exploiting the tinkerer BUG for kicks and giggles was incredibly discouraging.
If you're comparing that to "looping" or "gen rush" or "bringing in a flashlight" or even "SWF" (all mechanics that are put in the game by the developers even if you don't like them) then that's not a great way to view the game play.
looping was unintended belive it or not. It was a side (unpredicted by the devs) effect of the 2016 august patch that made planks completely safe. And the colision boxes of the survivors getting smaller too.

You should not be rewarded for making a bad play. If you take a hit to protect your team mate when you unhook them, then good. More points for you. But you aren't brave enough to do that. You just want your team mate to go down so you can get them killed and then run away.
Its a valid tactic, I've been promised that I can play for the team or greedy for myself. And if that means unsafe unhooks the action was taken, the risk was present, and the job was done, points are due. Right or wrong be damned, the action was taken and yeah points are expected.
What is the purpose of the devs putting the unhook mechanic in the game? Because I guarantee it is not to give players another way of getting points.
Because getting one hooked, ranks up there with getting first minute mori'd.
And if they didn't give so many points, why would people do it in the end game. (Aside from SWF, thats another issue) but for 4 strangers that have no attachment to each other, I'll take the 5k leave over getting you off the hook if there is nothing in it for myself.
And that's human nature, in the end, when the chips are down, my life is more valuable to me then yours. If you argue that you are lying to yourself. So why can't I be true to my nature while playing this game, perhaps I'm that absorbed, that to me I'm the one that NEEDS to live.
This is a MULTIPLAYER GAME not a TEAM GAME, though it is starting to morph that way.

ok i get that but if the killer is supposed to always win a 1v1 then why do they camp when they can just go get another survivor in a 1v1
This is a core issue in the game. It takes too much time to chase a competent survivor through all the loops, so some killers dont go through that trouble and just use the hooked guy as bait. It works surprisingly well, especially against SWF because they want to save their mates crying in discord
It takes too long because you keep chasing even

All the meanwhile ruin is gone and 3 gens have been done and the 4th is about to pop? Where is the fun?? I don’t see how anyone can main killer without literally going insane. I don’t really blame survivors for this either as the game practically encourages looping, with all the perfectly loopable pallets everywhere.Welcome in DBD
In order to be a killer main, you have to be a special person
