Freddy has a lot at his disposal from basekit, and his add ons change that gameplay slightly for different perk builds. Sadako on the other hand from what she has, you HAVE TO BRING specific perks with her or it's gonna be a really unfun frustrating time playing her. She needs to be basekit strong and then play with add ons, not basekit weak and have to spend a huge amount of blood points to be able to do anything with add ons

What exactly does he have with basekit? His puddles and long teleport which gets worse as the game goes on? Not to mention his puddles can be completely negated if the survivor is awake

Clown and dredge are both better than freddy at what they do, clown having a better hinder (that cant be ignored) and dredge having a way better teleport

Even sadako's teleport can be better because she can teleport a lot of times in a row

Basekit wise, theyre pretty close yeah but in total because she HAS good addons it makes her better than freddy who has NO good addons and arguably the worst set in the whole game

As it says in the title. The challenge states to hide in a locker within 10 seconds of starting a chase with quick and quiet. Doing this does not complete the challenge though as I have done this multiple times on different characters. I've also tried reselecting it and restarting the game neither of which has helped. I've escaped chases and not escaped chases as well hiding within 10 seconds. This is my last challenge in the archives so if this could be fixed soon that would be great. I play on PS5.

As of the most recent update, this is still not fixed

But they apparently had time to fix visual bugs like doctor's mori breaking survivor faces and changing some things on the HUD, just not this i guess

I don't even play Trickster. He's just an example for how the new Dead Hard is stronger against killer powers. New Dead Hard is stronger against most killer powers. There's a long list of killers I can go on where new Dead Hard is stronger. Here are some more examples:

Huntress: old Dead Hard: survivor dodges hatchet w/e. You can throw another one shortly after. New Dead Hard: survivor gets a speed boost and makes it to another loop and Huntress has to catch up to them with her 110 ms.

Bubba: survivors are guaranteed to Dead Hard against Bubba's Chainsaw. There's nothing Bubba can do. Against old Dead Hard, you just keep chasing them with Chainsaw and they die

Pig: new Dead Hard: they get speed boost and run away. Old Dead Hard: you keep chasing them with your charge attack and get the hit

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3224699#Comment_3224699

Honestly, I bet that's what you say to every killer that asks for survivor nerfs. Doesn't matter what the killer says. They're a cry baby if they ask for survivor nerfs.

I have no idea how not breaking from chase has anything to do with this. Getting Dead Harded in an uncounterable way is something that happens to every killer. Here is an example of this https://clips.twitch.tv/TenaciousUglyMallardUncleNox-HrJ-TjhuvYDTJkRe. If you think it's fair that the survivor can Dead Hard to escape with little to no counter in a situation where they misplayed like in this example, please elaborate. Thank you.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3224700#Comment_3224700

Yes. Worse than Freddy. Trapper is considered the worst killer by many. He is at least bottom 3 if you don't think so.

In no world is he worse than freddy lol

either you are intentionally not ever picking up or placing traps or you are terrible at placing them somehow (which really isnt hard, you just place them at a window, its simple)

Its laughable that you actually think that, especially since trapper actually has addons that ste useful

The only POSSIBLE way he could be worse is if there were only 2 traps on the entire map, all his addons get nerfed into uselessness (like freddy's), his traps can get disarmed in 1.5 seconds, and his traps take 7 seconds to set, as well as the survivor being able to attempt escape every 0.5 seconds with a 50% chance to escape

Thats literally the only way he can be worse, but as none of this is true, he is MILES better than freddy (and sadako, but at least sadako has useful addons as well like ring drawing and iri tape)

Freddy's whole power is literally puddles that can be disabled at any time just by being awake, if they for some reason on (because his power is so weak u can spend the whole time in the dream world and nothing much will change)

Continuing a series of threads on the least picked perks according to Nightlight, next up is Laurie’s perk Object of Obsession (0.32% usage)

Object of Obsession - Whenever your aura is revealed to the Killer, the Killer's aura becomes visible to you and you gain a 2/4/6% bonus to healing, repairing and cleansing speed. If you are the Obsession, your aura is revealed to the Killer for 3 seconds once every 30 seconds. Increases your chances of being the Obsession.

This one is interesting because it used to be one of the most popular perks in the game years ago when it worked differently. It used to simply show your auras to each other whenever the survivor looked at the killer which made it broken for swfs on comms because it meant one person could constantly relay everything the killer did to the rest of the team with wall hacks.

The current version is a lot more intermittent, but does have a small speed bonus to some actions too. Obviously seeing the killer’s aura is a nice ability generally speaking. The main downside here, and why the perk probably doesn’t see much use any more, is that showing your aura to the killer is a pretty big negative as well. Sure the old version did that too, but it was also a lot more powerful in terms of how often the survivor could see the killer.

The tricky part with this perk is, if the devs wanted to buff it to make it see more use, they wouldn’t want to just make the auras appear more often because that would just lead it back to the way it used to be where it was ok in solo queue but broken in swfs. So I think if it were to be buffed it might have to be on that action speed bonus side. They could either make those speed bonuses more persistent, so you have them while you are the Obsession but it’s not tied to the auras, and/or they could add either gen repair or vault speed to the list since those actions are ones a lot of survivors really like getting speed boosts in.

    Repair speed is already included

But yeah i think the bonuses should be made constant to make it actually worthwhile having, especially if they added vault speed

  • @FlameLickVA said:

Also buff the 10% progression loss, to 15%, to mitigate the incap removal.

Incapacitated shouldn't be tied to a perk, especially like this one. The perk is ok against a good swf that calls out when they're going down, but absolutely DEVASTATING against solo que.

Incap is just boring as hell, not being able to do anything for 25 seconds is abysmal. It should only be tied to killer powers (pinhead, and twins)

Anyways, yeah. Unhealthy perk for soloque, removing incap and buffing the gen progression loss would make it more healthy.

Im fine with that, but i still think they should scream

  • @LapisInfernalis said:

First: maybe use OTR. The fact alone that you are silent stops most killers from going after you once they realise you have the perk. I also found SB to be very helpful to combat tunneling.

Not going to lie, 3s DS sucks. If you are anything with range or speed, you don't care. And even if you are Trapper, it's not a bad thing.

It's somehow funny that fist DS was 5s because Enduring effected it, then after that got removed, they nerfed to 3s because "it was enough" before realising that survivors don't get away in that time because of stagger when they get free. So they put it again to 5s ony to nerf it back to 3s.

Sometimes I wonder if the Devs read their own patch notes. 🙄

Maybe but some tunneling killers run STBFL so they can hit you immediately to take your endurance away, regardless of whether or not you have the perk

No one plays Trapper and he's still the worst killer in the game after the Dead Hard change, so it doesn't matter. I don't see why you would ever Dead Hard a Legion Frenzy when you are already injured. The only exception is if Legion is in his last hit, which is very rare. It's a buff for Death Slinger but he also got nerfed massively, so it evens out. Other than that, new Dead Hard is better against most killer powers.

Worst killer? My man have you seen freddy

  • @Ivansanchez224 said:

It feels like you guys just make changes to make playing as survivor un-fun and completely unfair. How are you guys ok with the escape rate for survivors being so low? So are survivor players only supposed to play for the killers enjoyment only and not ours? The changes you guys made to change the meta literally did the exact opposite of what you guys were trying to do. Every single killer uses the same 4 or 5 perks. Same with survivors. The new dead hard is obsolete and completely useless in most scenarios when the killer knows you have it. DS is useless as well same with off the record and iron will. Why did you reduce the speed boost that survivors get when they get hit or add 10 more seconds to gen repair time? It’s impossible to have fun on this game anymore.

I think it's to make playing survivor harder, cuz I mean you're supposed to be facing an unstoppable killer who will kill all of you so it's obviously supposed to be tough

I don't mind it tho because I don't expect or need escapes lol, only if I have a tome challenge that says so but if I do I'm just going to hide as that's the best way to guarantee escape, especially with sole survivor and wake up

I agree that killing one survivor is not considered a win due to skill. I mean, the whole point in a match as a killer in the DBD is to get 4k, right? Of course, condemn kills are difficult, and we can't exclude the merit to get one, but we must use two weighs and two measures to calculate what is considered skill in these two different scenarios.

"Winning" is pretty subjective, it all depends on what the survivor (or killer) is trying to do

Like for instance say I need or want to get a kill with rancor because of a challenge or just because I want to, my objective is not to kill anyone else since I really can't except by hook (which I prefer not to) so if I get the obsession to the gate and everyone is around to watch the mori, thats 100% a win in my book

Whereas as a survivor I may have a totem cleansing challenge so cleansing as many totems as possible is a win for me, especially if the killer hooks me right after so I can move on to the next match

As a killer I don't go for hook kills as that's pretty bland, unless I have some kind of challenge or the survivors are being really annoying (which does nor happen often), I instead opt for unconventional kills in which survivors have not been killed before like killing with a bear trap, hatchet, blade, condemn, etc

I just sometimes wish some killers did the same as it does get bland when I play survivor just dying via hook all the time, although I can't really blame them as they got to earn those pips and may not have pyramid head to do this (and some pyramid heads don't really try too bad to get cage kills either, even tho it gives you double points for devout, but I can't expect them to know this)

I'm not sure many people go into a game thinking of killing a survivor as impressive. Winning a hard game by keeping a level head and making the right decisions and plays is impressive. But simply killing one survivor is not really something I would consider impressive. I think the reason killers want the 4k instead of a 3k is because they feel like they had to work for it and now earned their 4 kills. It's a bit like survivors not focusing on getting 1 person out alive but as many as possible. If you simply meant killers trying to win however I can't really follow you. Why would that be a bad thing? Both sides should try to win. It doesn't mean you have to go out of your way and stack everything in your favor but winning is the goal of the game. Also what exactly is a Wesker throw kill? He can't kill survivors by throwing them and he can't down a second survivor by hitting them with another so I genuinely don't know what you mean.

A throw kill is when a survivor immediately dies after getting thrown in a wall or another survivor. It's kind of like the same as a bear trap kill or hatchet kill where they die immediately from being downed

It's a pretty rare occurrence as not many killers go for those types of kills so I understand your confusion

Territorial Imperative isn't a "meme" perk, it's just an ineffective one. No Mither isn't really a meme perk either, and even if it was it doesn't give a bloodpoint bonus but instead gives different advantages to try and compensate for its downside.

To clarify, I'm not against perks and add-ons that have downsides but give you an in-match effect to balance it out. I'm against perks and add-ons that gives you a disadvantage and then balance that out with bloodpoints since bloodpoints don't impact the actual match. And again, I'm against it because I think it's bad game design, not because I think I'm forced to use it.

Well you may think it's bad game design but some people actually enjoy those types of perks, it's kind of like complaining a game has different difficulties that give you more rewards for making the game harder

I think a killer should not be relying on an iri and a bother addon to get pretty deadly they should be deadly basekit and just get a bit better or change there focus on one part of there kit

Maybe not but at least she HAS it

Unlike Freddy who doesn't even have any good addons and is terrible as well

  • @rysm said:

I just started playing Sadako and I think shes good lol. I don't actively try for the whole condemned mori thing but the TVs are really good for mobility. I'm really enjoying her 😅 Plenty of 3/4Ks. I use the wet rag add-on thing and the water bucket (I can't remember exactly what they're both called lol)

Could literally say the same about Freddy because of M1 ability and mediocre teleport

However I find the condemn playstyle is the most fun way to play her, since the survivors sre not just dying the same way as literally every other killer

  • @ArthurVeloso said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3222353#Comment_3222353

I agree that condemn kills are difficult to get unless the player use the drawing ring and slug. The devs should make her brown add-ons base kit to make easier to mind game and get downs to hook survivors. However, the fact that she can still body block some TV's by just standing there is the things that most upset me.

That's a completely ineffective strategy tho and just guesswork, you also don't gain condemned while downed or chased so worst case scenario you get downed while trying to put the tape in

You literally forgot to mention that even Otz himself says that this isn't ideal and it might not work. Maybe watch his streams where he explains exactly what can go wrong with this strategy. What do you expect Sadako players to do instead? Magically turn into Nurse and start teleporting while in chase? She already is horribly weak and she has nothing to make you go down in 1 hit so you DO have enough time to insert the tape anyway. STBFL is not a perk that works from the get go. You have to do something for it first. If you have a problem with the only viable strategy on a killer that has nothing else going for them and that is not even a guaranteed kill even in the best case scenario you need to learn how to play survivor and how to play against it. Ima give you the same advice I get from people that stack the best perks, items and map offerings and beat me with a meme build before proceeding to teabag in the exit gates like their families's lives depend on it.

    Git gud.

Ironic given how so many killers sweat for "4ks" so much

Like a hook kill isn't even impressive. If you wanna try something impressive do a wesker throw kill or condemn kill

  • @dugman said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3220793#Comment_3220793

I'm definitely not a fan of perks using bloodpoints as a balancing mechanism since bloodpoints have no actual effect on the match itself. I'd much rather leave bloodpoint bonuses for offerings and rituals and events and such and keep perks and add-ons as being things which just impact the gameplay in the match.

That's fair but you aren't forced to use them, they are for people that like to have bonuses and are willing to handicap themselves for that (that's why meme addons exist and why they give bonuses)

Wheres the green key love dbd?

A green map is so useless but at least their purpose to it. And can actually help in an indoor map if you don't know where gens are.

    Make green keys do something.

Maybe they help open chests faster if u have one, or maybe it gives u SLIGHTLY higher chance to get a better item. And no I dont mean getting purple medkits or keys. It can be a yellow item OR even a brown item with 1 or 2 add ons attached to it.

I get that going for a chest doesnt gurantee an item, but why be able to physically grab it? I would rather have an empty chest reveal or confetti fly up or maybe it's junk that shows up. I hate seeing a green key that I can grab but doesn't do anything lol.

This isn't nothing major but it's a small change that makes things a little more interesting.

Seriously. I am amazed at how useless a green key is

I'm pretty certain at this point that they just made it to be filler for the chest to contain nothing but they couldn't just make a chest empty with their code so they had to add an item that essentially is nothing

  • @RavenBirb said:

I've experimented with a lot of different builds and I really just think her power wastes more time to do anything with it. It's visually great and all that but there needs to be some more danger to her power other than only when the survivors choose to hold a tape in most cases. I've seen a few occasions where healing causes red ring of death.

I feel like maybe if a tv is on and a survivor goes near it, there should by default be a debuff aura, you shouldn't have to bring an add on to make them any use to you other than teleporting.

Since Sadako takes a minute to come through a tv, maybe whoever is in the zone of her projection can hinder the survivor for a time to compensate the risk of doing a gen near a powered tv.

Or i can think of something like Freddy's power where condemn could go auto fill and you need to turn off the tv's and stuff to keep it down. Then holding a tape also holds it's risks.

There's a few different avenues I think that could make her wayy more fearful and fun

Sadako is already fun tho? And with the Iri tape and ring drawing, I'd definitely say she's pretty deadly, probably on par with pig's crate of gears and tampered timer

If anyone needs a buff to be more fun and less boring it would 100% be Freddy, his power both sucks and is boring whereas sadako's can at least be fun and can be improved via addons

  • @RinsDoormat said:

you already made a thread on this perk. you should start naming some other useless perks like predator, beast of prey, overwhelming presence on killer side. Killer has long list of terrible perks of do nothing perks.

survivor has a lot of perks activate, but are not worth bringing because the reward for them is often low/insignificant to make a difference. you already named few of them. my prediction of next perks your going to name are perks like overzealous, fast track, visionary, deception, dance with me, buckle up, aftercare.autodidact.

I actually use beast of prey pn my BP builds, i dont think it needs a buff cuz if they were to "buff" it they would probably remove the BP bonus, which is the entire reason i use it

Yes i know there is a cap and it doesnt exceed it, but it helps reach the cap faster

they could also easily buff territorial imperitive by rewarding BP when hooking in the basement (hooking only, so it is less effecient to just camp)

  • @dugman said:

Continuing a series of threads on the least popular perks according to the aggregate site Nightlight, next up is Rebecca's perk Better Than New (0.18% usage)

Better Than New - Upon completing a healing action on another Survivor, the targeted Survivor gets a 12/14/16% speed boost to healing, opening chests, cleansing and blessing Totems. Survivors keep the bonus until they lose a health state.

The idea of a perk that gives someone a buff after you heal them is kind of cool. And on paper a 16% action speed bonus sounds pretty solid! I think the reason this isn't popular, though, is that it doesn't increase the actions survivors are most interested in speeding up, namely gen repair and vault speeds. Yeah, a healing speed increase is ok, but 16% is saving you, what, a couple of seconds at most on a really slow heal? Normal heals with one survivor healing another survivor take 16 seconds so this is saving about 2.5 seconds off that. Maybe if the survivor you heal is doing a bunch of healing and blessing and cleansing themselves then it would pay off? 🤷‍♂️

The obvious way to buff this to make it more popular is to include either a bonus for gen repair speed and/or a bonus for vault speeds. (Not necessarily a 16% bonus for either of them but something.) This is why Resilience is a lot more popular even though its numerical bonus is only 9%, it gives that bonus to everything including gen repair and vaults. So if they made Better Than New more or less a Resilience for survivors who have been healed and that lasts until they are reinjured it would probably be kind of popular (and also wouldn't stack directly with Resilience since BTN only works on healthy survivors and Resilience only on injured ones.)

Yeah if they were to add repair and vault speeds it should probably be only 6% but if they dont and only add on unhooking and sabatoging then itd probably be safe at 19%

  • @dugman said:

Continuing a series of threads on the least used perks according to Nightlight, next up is Quentin's perk Pharmacy (0.27% usage)

Pharmacy - When injured, Pharmacy activates. While active:

    Unlocking chests is 40/60/80% faster.

The hearing distance for noises from unlocking chests are reduced by 8 meters.

Pharmacy guarantees an Emergency Med-kit upon completing the interaction.

This is pretty straight forward, the perk lets you open a chest to get a nice medkit. You open the chest more quickly and more quietly but honestly those are pretty minor benefits, the main draw to the perk is clearly that you are guaranteed a good medkit out of the search.

So on the upside, it's not like the perk isn't giving you a tangible benefit, the medkit you get out of it is a good one and you even shave a few seconds off the chest opening time getting it. Some downsides though are

    • You can simply bring a medkit at the start of the match and unless you use it up or lose it you won't need a second one. And because the medkit can be rarer and include add-ons you're starting off with a better version probably than the base green kit with no add-ons you get from the Pharmacy.
    • Unless you pair this with Plunderer's Instinct you might have a little trouble sometimes finding a chest depending on the situation. There's always a chest in the basement, of course, but poking around in the basement might be a bit risky if the killer realizes you're down there so that's a trade off. It's not that hard necessarily to find a chest but it's not guaranteed. And of course if you do pair this with Plunderer's that's fine but now you're spending two perks to do this which is kind of a heavy investment.
    • You have to already be injured for this perk to work. So you can't, for example, be healthy and then preemptively go get yourself a new medkit to replace one you already used.
    • Finally Circle of Healing probably cuts into the number of people interested in bringing Pharmacy since it's probably the better healing perk of the two overall.

I don't think Pharmacy really needs a huge buff, it seems like if you build around it then you can have some fun use out of it (e.g. Plunderer's plus Pharmacy plus Open-Handed plus a perk that helps you find injured survivors for instance and now you're the DbD EMT. 🙂) But I could see maybe buffing it slightly more just to give it a little broader appeal. One buff that might help is to drop the precondition that you have to be injured for the perk to work. That makes the perk a little more flexible in letting you get the medkit ahead of time of when you actually need it immediately.

Basically in other words youre saying un nerf it, cuz it was that change that made it lose its value

Just bump up the range to 64/96/128 (instead of 32/64/96) so it’s basically map-wide at tier 3. It doesn’t really need to have the range limit.

Other than that the perk doesn’t need any changes, it’s massively underrated and I’ve had a lot of success with it. The 10% healing buff doesn’t seem like a lot, but it’s not really the main point of the perk, it’s just more of a nice side effect you get.

At that point why not just use empathy..

This is a bit of a bad way out of the situation, because the developer is interested in minimizing the chances of hanging in the basement and the basement camp in the game. Therefore, there are so few perks for the basement camp in the game.

Well they could easily just make it only on a hook instance, so it's better to just hook there, not camp

I can understand hiding yeah for that challenge but sometimes there is 2 survivors hiding in the end long time and the game does not go anywhere so that just wastes time. When I did that hatch challenge I had huntress standing on the hatch 30 minutes not closing it but standing in the spot where you can't jump in. Good tactic to get one kill maybe but absolutly not worth it if you have life and in that time she could played 2 games and get 4K:s so just not smart.

In that case I would have just started working on guns

If she didn't move by the time a Gen pops then just keep doing them 1 by 1 until the gates are powered

If she still hadn't moved and the gates are opened then she is either afk or not moving out of spite

How long did he camp it? I would personally never do it as it just wastes both survivor and killer time and the time I do that I could 4K multiple games and earn lot of bp so is it's even good tactic like killer mains says... Same is when survivors hide they are going to be found eventually but they just waste everyones time.

Idk man, I've had some good escapes by just hiding all match (because I don't want to take risk of Survivors tbagging so I can progress hatch challenge)

Yeah, had one of these when i did the challenge. Ghostface camping the closed hatch.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3217760#Comment_3217760

Hell, even if that challenge is harder, it doesnt force you to pretty much throw the game for your teammates to get it somewhat reliably. And again, that challenge itself is just massively out of time based on its requirement only really making sense in the old hatch design era

No I don't mean impossible as a hyperbole, I mean LITERALLY impossible

As it doesn't complete even if u do what it asks perfectly

  • Yeah I agree with the others, it's kind of a bad idea

Although I personally wouldn't mind self care to give 15% faster mending speed, even if it's the most used perk rn

  • @Brimp said:

Because every one would just run meg with 25% faster exhaustion recovery. By far the most over powers mechanic in this game.

    Youre gonna love vigil

Something that bothers me is how they treated Sadako vs how they treat Myers.

With Sadako, they've been extremely careful to make her power very difficult to grind, considering it's an instant Mori. To a point where it's absolutely impossible to make good survivors reach condemn and her power is basically non existant.

With Myers, he is just handed instant kill. Anyone saying it's impossible to stalk enough clearly can't play Myers properly. It's easy to stalk if it's your only job anyway. Yes, on some maps, it's borderline impossible, but those are very limited. It's mostly Lery, and maybe Ironically coldwind farm, since it's impossible to stalk through corn apparently.

Iri tape and ring drawing help a ton in getting condemn kills

At least her power isnt as bad as freddy's..

  • @fake said:

If I had the authority to make changes to this add-on, I would make it so that only survivors who have stalked to the limit and turned red can be instant-killed.

PS: It is also necessary to change Michael's base kit, as it is too weak to be as expected by itself.

Thats actually a really good idea lol, thats preferable to being only hooked and will prevent myers from killing those that havent been stalked at all

    Hi, my name is Desola,

I'm just a regular player, no streamer, no content creator and neither do i consider myself a main of either side. I dont run survivor to bully killers or face camp and tunnel on killer (unless they really ask for it with excessive flashlight clicking). I wanted to make this post as an open letter to the Devs

The actual point of this post: i've recently been just trying to work trough the tomes 1 by 1 and found one rift challenge that really is in dire need of an update due to changes.

Tome 2, Page 3 (cant remember the name right now) "Use a key to open the hatch twice"

This challenge is a relic of the past when the hatch would spawn in closed after a number of generators were fixed, allowing for a 4-Man escape without ever opening the gates. The problem is that with the key/Hatvh rework a little while ago the hatch never spawns in closed anymore, meaning its required to be shut when you're the last survivor standing. There is 2 ways to have that happen

    A) your squad powers the gates and your mates open them and run out. The Problem: most killers at that stage either guard the gate or give up, not close the hatch.

When will killers usually close hatch? When 3 survs have died before the gates could be powered. Which leads to the most effective strategy for this challenge being to essentially throw the game as survivor, avoid the killer for the entirety of the game till your whole team is dead, wait for hatch to be closed and go look for it to unlock it while the killer patrols the gates to find you.

Its fairly clear in my eyes that this is a problem since many people will try to play the most efficient way to finish whichever challenge which in this case leads to miserable experiences for multiple players in the same match on at leadt 2 occasions.

    My proposal to fix this?

Plainly, just replace the challenge with another like escaping through hatch or the sort. Any attempt to fix this without changing the challenge would require a new hatch rework (like: hatch spawns in closed when the engame triggers and only actually opens when only one survivor is left) or something like a perk that lets you open the hatch without key.

I know there is more pressing issues like cheaters but i think a small fix like that would be nice

At least its actually *possible* to complete unlike quick thinking and self preservation challenges or are not overly difficult like the challenge where you jave to get iridescent malicious 3 times (i cant do this even with legion, ended up with 100 points in survivors being hit but -90 for survivors being healed..)

Interesting ideas, but it wouldnt take long time till "better survivors" know where the fakes spawn etc. and could ignore this "power" like the Pallets now.

Example: Create fake-things on Dead Dawg Saloon. I for myself know which doors are always blocked, where the gens always are etc.

So the Dreamworld should rather work a bit like Dredges Nightfall. Reducing Cooldown for Teleport massively, that Deep Sleep-Thing (lets say you are dreaming inside a dream) sounds also great. If u fall Deep Sleep, you are exposed. So the survs want to wake up.

Something like that. If u look at the movies, he liked to manipulate stairs like the Dream Snares do. He could come out Walls etc.

If the Devs would rework him and create a kind of Teleporting-Power to Walls or M2ing out of Walls you prepared in the match for example it would be more like the movies.

But for the addons alone (in this post) with the expectation of no Rework coming, I think the Addon-Changes posted here by me and one other guy looked quite ok.

Illusions arent fun if they are useless 😅

The fake hooks would look as if a real survivor has been hooked there, and the player asleep has no HUD to tell if it is real or not, so im not sure how they could differentiate unless they have a swf that is awake

When a survivor goes to try and unhook it is shown that it is fake, same with survivors screaming and if the player is in the dream world long enough it should start distort their screen slightly

But yeah an exposed effect would help make the dream world more of a worry, but that would be useless if they are already injured or are broken

I mean, this feature can vary between 25-100%, and anything less than 100% is literally useless unless it's multiplicative.

So even if it's unintentional it should be intentional.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3215553#Comment_3215553

I don't see problem there either, you'll get 200k as is in that match, what's problem with 400k.

Devs would think thats too broken lol

Welcome to my Tierlist as a Freddy-Main (6.2.2)

The only good Addon is the Paint Brush for more sleeping survivors and harder time to wake up (no failed skill-checks, so the Dresses could team up without sabotaging you). More guys asleep = more % on Masterpiece or Sketch, more often Blindness with Unicorn-Block etc.. You can use your snares directly OR they waste some time running to a clock.

As always: you should chase people who are already in dream, otherwise you are blank till the first hit.

Blindness 60sec (Unicorn-Block) and Mini-Bloodwarden are B (Black Box), but nothing more. Blindness 30sec (Sheep-Block) is better than Teleport-Speedup (Masterpiece/Sketch) because the Numbers are far too small (3%/2% per sleeping surv). Class Foto is a nice little surprise once, then its easily countered.

    The Rest is garbage.

NO Survivor fails skillchecks if they dont read something on 2nd screen while sitting on gen etc., Hemmorhage is terrible on Freddy, he is no Legion or Plague and Fake Pallets are a nerf to his basekit, his snares are far better, but still mediocre at best, but at least sometimes fun against weaklings on The Game. Thats it.

Forgot to mention Hearing: Swing Chains can help against OLD Iron Will, now its useless. If u say: Off the record... remember the survs are awake after leaving the hook. Jumping Rope (Grunts of Pain-Hearing) and the Outdoor Rope (Gen-Hearing) are purely bad. Pill Bottle is doing nothing that matters, Kids Drawing is a meme for some more BP and... well, thats it.

Too negative? Oh no, believe me, all addons besides the Paint Brush arent really do anything.

EXTRA-INFO: You cannot stack Blindness- or Hemmorhage-Boxes, they switch. First step on a snare = Higher Version, 2nd step = Lower Version

    Funny, right?

    WHAT AM I USING?

1.) Red Paint Brush every game

    2. Unicorn-Block, Black-Box, Nancys Masterpiece or Class Photo (depends on Perk-Build)

And here is my Addon-Pass to help him a bit:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/345077/my-addon-pass-to-rescue-freddy

These are buffs that would make him better on a technical level but not so much of a "fun" level

My favorite idea is to make the dream world feel like a dream world where a bunch of fake events are going on with the HUD disabled such as illusionary screaming, fake hook notifications, etc
