i agree it should be easier to give feedback on this, at least a sticky thread at the top where everything would be together and we wouldn’t see multiple threads like this very thread every day..
also I don’t really care if it is called censorship or filtering. It’s something the devs want in their game to tone down toxicity (which got complained about enough to warrant its existence).
I actually think a sticky thread would be a perfect solution. Just a place to go... Umm why is "insta downs" censored?
As for the censorship, I don't care if they block racist, homophobic, and other slurs. That really shouldn't be in any game. Swearing is meh, I guess I kinda get it, but its an 18+ game. The only people who give swear words powers are people who let them effect them. Its more of where you grew up. Take the "C" word for example, in america its just as bad as a swear word if not worst, but in other countries its not that horrible at all.
Where I get annoyed and upset with their censorship system is its not universal. For example, I swear alot, read these posts... I don't think I am being toxic when I swear, its just how I talk as swearing was never forbidden to me growing up. Its just how my family was. But since I swear alot I can't say certain words my friends can say... I haven't tried it recently but it was so bad I couldn't even say twitch, youtube, twitter... Thats not being toxic, thats censorship.
If it was everyone or no one, I would be fine, but its not, its selective punishment for out of context remarks.

By the way you are formulating your feedback i just assume you use often words that get filtered so you personal filter system is probably stricter than others.
but yes, you could just give feedback on terms you think shouldn’t get filtered (and terms that go through that you think should get filtered) right here in the forums. Probably best in the appropriate section (Feedback & Suggestions)
keep in mind that ‚downs‘ can have a different meaning in another context. But in your case I guess everyone agrees it’s context is clearly in-game mechanic related..
Create a whole forum post every time something stupid gets censored for some crazy reason would be ridiculous . I wish they just had something like the bugs page where people could be like, hey why did you censor **insta downs** its literally a mechanic of your game.
Also just incase anyone doesn't understand... The chat system is censorship, not filtering. If it was filtering it would apply the same rules to everyone, once it starts applying different rules to different people, its censorship.

To be clear, I know how to get around this, I would have to say something like
man you really like your perks that put people into the dying state in 1 hit
But seriously BHVR its a chat that last like 60 seconds... I don't want to be typing a whole ######### story to have a conversation... one that wasn't even ######### mean. Killer was just running 4 insta down perks.
-
Its a weird bug, been around for the last few patches if not longer that I am aware of but basically...
If you knock down a survivor and there head falls into a collision object like a generator, wall, etc... You can't pick them up unless they crawl out of that space.
-
You can't really compare perks between the two sides...
But if you want to here are some perks that are pretty similar to second chance perks:
Undying is still a second chance perk, think of it like this, unbreaking lets players stand up once, undying lets you keep your perk once.
Enduring basically removes stuns (which are broken right now in favor of killer)
Spirit Fury lets you basically just avoid breaking a pallet 3-4 times per game
NOED: I mean that is the definition if a second chance (or last chance)
But I always compare survivor second chance perks to slow downs. Because that's how people play the games, Survivors extend chase and killers extend the match. I think they are a better 1 to 1 comparison.

Am I just the ######### that sorta agrees and disagrees with you...
I have no problem with the changes to billy, however, I think all this does is prove that bubba was over buffed just a little. I realized this recently because I used to be crap as bubba. But I was recently playing him and was doing really well. Bubba feels to easy to be good with for a killer that has a 1 hit mechanic built into his base kit.

The problem I see with survivor perks when compared to killer perks is, well, killer perks are a lot less situational. What I mean about that is this, for a perk to be strong it has to see use every single match and well survivor perks are designed in a way that doesn't happen often.
If playing survivor why would I choose to run something like
- aftercare? This is also a strong perk, but the minute I get hooked I am set right back to default... Empathy can see basically the same information.
- autodidact outside of the meme? Its honestly a great perk, but its rare to get 5 stacks quickly unless I am running in a 4 man SWF. I've tried this perk many times because its a great perk. But running it solo or a 2 man SWF, I rarely get 5 stacks in a match.
- Boil Over? This perk is only useful if multiple players play the hook separation offering and even then it still usually requires a survivor to take a hit or the killer to get screwed over by a wall. Or another survivor to be running breakout?
- Breakout? Basically useless unless the survivor is running boil over or multiple offerings to space out hooks were played. And still usually requires me taking a hit for the carried survivor
- Buckle Up? Like why would anyone run this?
- Deliverance? Oh you got found first, guess you just play with 3 perks this game
- Flip-Flop? One the killer has to slug you and two, guess what unless the hooks are really far, still most likely going to get hooked.
I am not even half way through the perks and most of the are just pointless. I skipped most of the new perks because honestly I have no idea what they do, I never see them in my games. I am not saying make survivor perks OP... but make them so they can be used once per game. Could you imagine running pop but only get to use it 1 every 5 or so games? Could you imagine running BBQ but you only proc survivors once ever game? Like killer perks are strong and have a Varity of uses per game.
Take starstuck for instance, I run it on my demo, I've knocked down one person with that perk, but the value it gives me is stupid. No one attempts to take hooks or sabo them against me, because they are insta down. I get value from that perk 1 of 2 ways every game.
-
--- Nevermind, after reading other comments I don't want to participate in this "Its okay to ruin peoples fun if I get a 4k" argument and this forum doesn't allow me to delete my own comments ---

I suspect they are never going to directly change generator times. 80 seconds is a long time to simply sit there and hold M1 and its by far the least fun part of playing DBD... Extended that to a 100 seconds is most likely never going to happen. Even if they do this, then they would need to take a look at all killer perks that slow down gens. For example, 1 kick of Pop makes a gen 100 seconds to complete assuming a survivor taps it immediately after the killer kicks, longer if they don't. Don't forget about perks like Thana and Dying Light which also increase repair time of generators. If they inflate the default numbers all perks that inflate the time to do gens, also then need a rework.
I play at red rank (which means nothing) and I mostly play killer. At most I run 1 slow down and personally prefer corrupt. Really the only time I lose is a 4 man SWF. Which is maybe 1 out of 10 games. Almost every other game I 4k or get a 3-2k. I rarely lose (under the condition that losing is getting 1 or less kill, as to me everything else is a tie or a win).
To your next point of toggling on and off SWF. The problem with that is, they way BHVR would do it if they did it, is they would only match you with other survivors who also turned off the feature. For example thats how cross play works. If you turn of cross play, you don't get matched with anyone else on the same system, you get matched with anyone else on the same system that also turned off cross play. Basically you're asking for EXTENDED queue times. Is sitting in lobby for 20-30 minutes really worth getting an easy 4k?

First F*ck me, apparently editing my post has somehow deleted it.
Hag is consistently considered a strong killer. I've not seen a whole lot of people change their minds on this. I've also just about not seen anyone think that Billy is better than Hag aside from people that just hate Hag's playstyle. Also, to an extent, it's expected that addons are to be used on killers. Otherwise, Nurse is not a high-mobility killer.
Rushes are telegraphed. Saying that the J-flicks aren't telegraphed is like saying Hatchets aren't telegraphed. Also, to an extent, telegraphing too much just makes killers unviable as it just boils down to a reaction game from a survivor, which is a fancy way to saying survivors don't have counterplay under those circumstances. J-flicking being unintended is irrelevant. The core gameplay of DBD is unintended. Hugging loops was not intended, and simply a result of BHVR being weird with collision. Comms was definitely not intended. Billy curves are also clearly not intended. One of the developers indicating that he wants to remove it is not a final statement on what's going to happen. Opinions can changed, and until there's an official patch, it means nothing. Calling it abusing a glitch is also not accurate. BHVR just have failed tomake an actual cap. It's like if COD had a 200 RPM cap on a semi-auto, but if you could spam click at 500 RPM, it allows you to fire the gun at that rate. That's not triggering a glitch, BHVR just don't have a real cap on Blight's turn rate because of sloppy code. Regardless, it has nothing to do with my argument, because the reason why it's hated is because "It has no counterplay." The point being is survivors do not care if something requires skill or not.
So the last half of your post isn't really a counter to what I'm saying. I'll bet these elements are annoying, but what you'll notice is that all these killers are all top-tiers in chases, which is my point. Maybe you and your friends do find what you listed as annoying, but my point is, if you're looking closely at comments or forum posts, most survivors basically just hate Spirit's viability. They don't just have a problem with the power fakes. They have a problem with Spirit being able to conceal her movements, which is the only reason why the power is good. Even if the shards work better and telegraph her phasing and eliminate the stand-still mindgame, that'll be a footnote just like collision was. Spirit will always be complained about until she's not a strong killer. That being said, I do understand that there are things about her that can be annoying regardless, so she could use a rework.
Look you seem like a nice person, but you're taking my points as an argument against yours. They are not, they are my OPINIONS on why I believe spirit and other killers are boring to play against. I even went out of my way to clarify I rarely play survivor and these are the views of my friends and myself. These may not be views of the community as a whole, because honestly I disagree with the community on a lot of things. As you can see between our discussion.
Thank you for taking the time to discuss with me, but honestly our discussion isn't going to change eithers views. We see the game differently and that is fine.

- No, that's how it used to be. People would now say it's either Blight or Hag at the no.3 spot. Billy hasn't been top 5 since his add-ons were gutted by BHVR.
- I disagree with half of your premise. Most apparently didn't complain about Billy, but looking back, there have 100% people complaining about Nurse (not just her busted old add-ons, her base kit). I think people are pretending they respect the skill behind Nurse as a weapon to bludgeon Spirit players. I think the real reason that people don't complain about Nurse is because A. Nurse is not only not as common of a killer, but most can't user her effectively, meaning facing good Nurses are rare. Notice how complaints are starting to happen against Blight now. Some are complaining about his base kit, but the hot topic is the J-blick. It is 100% something that requires skill, and he does telegraph his rushes, but survivors hate it because it's viewed as something that can't be countered (some Blight mains do say all you have to do is go away from a loop making it a 50/50 mind game but IDK). Survivors do not care if something is telegraphed (unless it's a zoning tool, which is where the problems with Deathslinger are) or requires skill. If something causes them to loose a chase frequently, it will be seen as an issue.
Now, her power might actually be obnoxious for survivors because of the reasons you brought up as well. However, I think if Spirit was actually terrible, these complaints wouldn't be appearing as much.
I didn't state this in my original post because it wasn't really needed. I mostly play killer. So a lot of this is based of my little time playing DBD as survivor with friends. Its the main reason I took the time to make opinion not only all caps but bold too.
I don't really use addons in a meaningful way on any killer, so addon reworks will always be left out of my opinions. Also Hag is top 5? Since when? I've been playing this game since 2017 (I think). Thats the last time I remember her holding that high of a spot.
But on to your major points. I don't play blight a lot as a killer but even when I do, I can see why j-flick is annoying... its because it isn't telegraphed. Its not something a survivor can know if the killer is going to do or not. It really depends on if the killer has a super high DPI like myself. I actually didn't know j-flicking was a thing until someone called me out on it... Its not something I did on purpose, I just happen to play at a very high DPI, 4600 to be specific. Also, j-flicking is something the devs said they are going to attempt to fix. So it really is invalid of an argument for anything because its a known bug and unintended game feature.
But besides a bug, I never really hear anyone complain about blight, they complain about people abusing a bug. Fake phasing on spirit isn't a bug, its just a "feature" people use that gives survivors ZERO feedback on what she is doing. It takes exactly ZERO skill to use and forces the survivor to guess. Everytime people complain about spirit, its her lack of feedback she gives survivors in chase. It allows her to zone survivors with no skill. Its all guess work on the survivors side.
As for your nurse arguments, like again, my views are based on my own opinions and those who we play with. We love playing against good and bad nurse's. Its boring to play against a god tier nurse, but those are so rare its almost not worth mentioning. We all depise playing against the following killers:
- Spirit: Because most run stridor and pop and there is nothing we can do but guess at what she is doing
- Slinger: Because at any point in a chase he can choose to end it, so we either have to always be weaving which lets him catch up ground quickly or hope he never chooses to fire in a split second notice. Huntress has a windup time and a sound alert, slinger has a split second windup and no sound alert... Thats our issue with him.
- Triangle head: Can fake his power for barely a slow down forcing you to fake a window or pallet and the go straight into a M1 swing, so it feels like you're taking a hit either way.
All of these killers suffer from the same problem, survivors, at least the ones I play with, feel like they have no choice. And that makes it boring, it doesn't feel like the killer won and I lost, it feels like the killer got something for free, unearned.
But really these are just my opinions and why I feel like these type of killer designs are boring.
-
Most people who play this game will say the top 3 dogs are, Nurse, Spirit and Billy. However most people complain about Spirit and not the other two. In my OPINION, its because I have indicators for what Nurse and Billy are doing that allow me to REACT to what the killer is doing. This means when I lose a chase to this killer, I don't feel like it was luck, They either outplayed me, or I screwed up.
- Nurse makes both a noise and plays an animation to display that she is about to blink.
- Billy makes a noise and plays an animation when he revs up his chainsaw.
- Spirit Stands still when she is and isn't phasing. There is no indication she is using her power, its a toss up if I should vault the pallet, run away from the loop, or stand still. I as the survivor have no way to outplay that, its literally lucky guessing.
I've rarely had anyone ever complain to me about spirit after my games, but I don't run stridor or pop and I never fake phase. I never stand still as spirit. I am always on the move. Meaning as long as the survivor doesn't assume I am fake phasing they can always react. When I my spirit is standing still, I am phasing. The ######### thing is, survivors don't know that, so they get annoyed because fake phasing is such a large thing spirits do, that a lot of survivors assume everyone does it.

BBQ and Spies work for me for finding survivors, Sloppy+Thanataphobia give decent slowdown in the teens ranks. I've gotten 4Ks out of this perk setup many times. Even on Haddonfield I average a 2K. But that's when highest rank in lobby is 10, 9 at most.
I have faced full red rank flashlight bully squads 3 times in the past week. The issue isn't my perks, lack of addons (clowns non-iridescent addons don't have that much of an impact if you play him as an M1 killer with a little "Flair"), or even the map. I had an EGC 1k all but secured until those 2 reds swooped in with a bodyblock to guard the unhook, then the unhooker bodyblocking the chase. That's skills you don't really see much as a mid-teens killer. Also, they hid the fact that they were skilled until the gates opened. again, not something you see in mid-teens lobbies.
The Matchmaking is making Red Ranks smurf for free. THAT is the issue here.
So Starting off 8 is pretty close to your rank matching to start off. As its 6 plus or minus. So for 15 its anyone in rank of 9 to 20. Meaning most likely what happened is they were a 4 man SWF. You waited probably between 5-10 minutes and the match making expanded.
That would be my best guess on to why you hit this. So I guess my question for you is this. Would you rather wait 20 minutes plus for people who are only between the ranks of 9-20 or would you rather play the game, lose and get some hard experience?
Cause I'd rather lose then stare at a searching lobby for 20 minutes or longer... People already complain about waiting the 5 to 10 minutes to get matches that are fair-ish most times.

I was just in a match as the Twins and a thought came to me while a survivor was kidnapping Victor, they shouldn't be allowed to drop pallets. It would fix the kidnapping issue in a big way.
Thoughts?
Yeah... since people can't run and remove victor at the same time, and removing him stops you completely, I am going to say no. Also you can only kidnap victor for 30 seconds after that, you as killer are letting people keep victor.

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/241593/should-there-be-a-bleed-out-button
Now for my serious response.
Slugging is a legitimate pressure tool required against strong survivors at high level play. In a lot of instances the killer DOES intend to come back and hook slugs.
A “bleed out”/“surrender” button would be abused to deny killers hooks that a killer does intend to do shortly after slugging.
If a survivor WANTS to minimise the amount of time they are left on the ground so that the killer DOESN’T lose the slugged survivor, they should either:
a) stay right where they are, or
b) if they choose to crawl away for strategical reasons, but it becomes apparent the killer has won and the slug cannot be rescued and cannot find Hatch, they should STOP crawling so that the AFK crows start showing up so they killer can find them.
It’s a double standard for survivors to complain about being left on the ground for long periods of time if the survivor is doing what they can on the ground to make being found by the killer really difficult.
Alright, what about this:
- Hold down "X" to bleed out at twice the rate. Prevents crawling
- A Survivor who bleeds out to death counts for the same amount of points as a if they were hooked.
- Hatch still takes the same amount of time to open if someone dies in this manner (unlike DC'ing where hatch opens immediately.)
This pretty much solves all of your complaints. You get you're points and people can't instantly die. The only thing it doesn't solve is it doesn't give you 4 minutes to find and down a survivor, it gives you 2 minutes. As a killer who doesn't slug very often, I say this is a fair compromise.

That some mental gymnastics right there friend. I'm pretty sure a killer doesn't care if they lose they just want some respect. Losing is fine some mechanics might be infuriating to deal with and piss killers off yes same goes for survivors. But at the end screen you don't have 4 arrogant capital g gamers rubbing it in and dropping god damn racial slurs because the report system is so archaic they can get away with it. "Entitled" sorry what the hell is this nonsense. Go on ask a friend why they don't play killer I guarantee you they will cite that the role is stressful and a good portion of that stress is those sore winners being arrogant and rude rubbing it in that they whupped your friends ass. But other games have this issue of rude jackasses too, well yes but it isn't 4 people berating 1 player that entire chat system needs to be opt in by default. in most other non dbd games your playing with friends or its just one person vs you even then many avoid post game chat altogether instead of 4 v 1 . But he tunneled me so I get to call him a racial slur, a homophobic remark, well then your problem isn't with the player its with the damn game mechanics. I'm so sick of this community. The writing on the damn wall and you can't see the issue your inventing bogeymen or ridiculous conspiracy theories for why the killer role has queue issues.
Please learn how to use the enter key... For every ones sake.
That some mental gymnastics right there friend. I'm pretty sure a killer doesn't care if they lose they just want some respect. But at the end screen you don't have 4 arrogant capital g gamers rubbing it in and dropping god damn racial slurs because the report system is so archaic they can get away with it.
Starting off, no one playing a video game owe's you respect. They honestly don't owe you anything. Now as you your point about people ######### talking in end game chat... That might just be their playstyle. I can play this game for 6 to 8 hours straight and get maybe 2-3 games where people ######### talk in end game chat. So maybe a lot of these killers who are bitching about this ######### are taking 2-3 games out of maybe 20. A Drop in the bucket.
Secondly, BHVR is trying to do something about their archaic report/chat system. In true BHVR fashion they way over corrected. So now you can't even say some killer/survivor names, social media sites and a ton of over things. Now to be clear, probably about 80% percent of the time when a survivor called me out for playing like a ######### in end game chat, I was playing like a #########. But in your defense, there have been more then enough games where someone called me out for something I didn't do, or was just being plain racist...
Lastly for this point... You can legit hide the chat and never see anything anyone says. It even stays like that once you reboot the game. So excluding racism, sexists, and homophobic remarks which should never be used, you also would have to see people calling you out for playing like an #########.
Ummmm... I play killer... Mostly killer.... Probably about 2.2 - 2.5k hours worth of killer at this point. Been doing it for so many damn years. I don't need to ask them if the role is stressful. You are optional choosing to play chess 1v4... You would have to be stupid to think it would be the less stressful role. Yeah I get plenty of sore losers from survivors side. But you know what, besides when they are being racist, sexist or homophobic, I don't care what they have to say. ITS A GAME. People are going to get upset on both sides. And once again, you can hide chat permanently, just click the icon.
Now if you read my post before getting so freaking upset over it. I even said
"entitled" for lack of a better word
Because yes I can I agree that entitled is a strong word for this case, but currently didn't have a better word in mind. Most killers I talk to don't count anything less then a 4k as a win. And they will run such boring ass builds or playstyles to accomplish that task. And before anyone says anything, yes there are Survivor builds that are just as boring, but the topic was related to killer. This game is 1 vs 4 bots. Its 1 v 4. There are four other people you are playing this game with, that you have no idea what their day, week or life is like. They could have just gotten fired from their job and wanted to play a game and their first match is a Pop, Stridor Spirit that tunnels everyone off hook. In my opinion if you play pop stridor spirit, you're a boosted ######### and nothing anyone says is going to change my opinion of that. There are just unfun killer builds and playstyles to play against.
Once again, the chat can be hidden, and I don't condone anyone using the chat system to be racist, sexists or homophobic.

I agree Killer is easier than previous years. Yet we still have a queue problem and lots of Killer apathy.
Thoughts?
So here is two cents from a nobody with way to many hours and $$$ in this game who mostly plays killer
Killer is way easier then it ever used to be, but thats because people are comparing it to a time when hooks stayed broken, infinite windows, the inability to kick gens, old perks like OG DS and BT. They have changed and added a lot of features to make killer lives easier, however during those changes killers started get "entitled" for lack of a better word and think the deserve to 4k every game. And if this game was a match against bots, I would agree with them. But instead its a game that is played against 4 other people who most likely got of work and wanted to have some fun.
Now I honestly believe the game would have a healthier mindset if killers would aim for a tie of 2k and 2 escape and count anything over that as a win. However, most people I've met who play killer count anything less then a 4k as a loss. And if they don't get it, they get mad because they have this mindset that they are the "big bad scary" killer and they should get a 4k every game. So a lot of killers who are not getting that power role sensation filled, they leave...

I really don't play killer so yes, I'm bad at it. It doesn't matter, the killer still has to waste their time to kick the gen and sit through the animation. If you want to counter that, you should have to spend an equal amount of time in order to stop the regression. If the survivor feels it's safe enough to tap a gen, then they are not being tunneled.
The game is easy enough for survivors, there is no reason to make it even more brain dead.
The only problem with survivors is being paired with bad teammates and true tunneling from the start of the match. To fix those, the devs need to fix matchmaking and implement teleporting hooks (similar to how Pyramid Heads caging works) when there are 3 or more gens still needing to be repaired. Tunneling shouldn't be prevented when there is 2 or less gens due to the fact of how fast efficient survivors can pump out gens.
Yeah and the survivor isn't adding 20 seconds of progression to a gen by tapping it.
Also you can tap a gen while being chased fairly easily. Its not like it takes a lot of work. So yes you can be tunneled and tap a gen. They are not exclusive actions. Any survivor running past a regressing gen and not tapping it in a chase is kinda dumb.
The game is easy enough for survivors, there is no reason to make it even more brain dead
No its not. The game is brain dead for killer. I barely even try anymore unless its a killer I am bad with and get at least 2+ kills if not a 4k. The only time I don't seem to 4k is against a 4man SWF. Which is fine, I don't need to win every game and a team that works well together, I am not going to win a against. Anyone who thinks killer is harder probably also thinks 99% of their games are against swat SWF teams.
I'd actually be pro hook teleporting like cages.

Why should they be allowed to regress a gen? What if the killer uses Pop on it? They had to chase the survivor, down and then carry them to the hook and hook them in order to get it to activate. Why should survivors be able to willy nilly counter that by easily tapping it?
Everything about your response just tells me you are bad at killer.
Alright, so pop already did its thing once the killer kicked the gen... It added 20 seconds to the game. Someone tapping a gen doesn't stop the game from progressing, it stops the game from regressing. It basically halts all game progress.
I've always seen DS as an anti-tunnel perk, I've never had a problem with survivors halting the games progress by tapping regressing gens, because well, I am not bad at killer. My problem with DS was people who used it for immunity, tapping a gen doesn't provide immunity, all it does is put the game at a standstill. People who hoped off a gen and worked on it for 60 seconds because they knew I couldn't do anything. People tapping a gen didn't bother me.
-
My idea for this is as follows.
Working on a gen regressing for less then 1 second will not deactivates DS. Working on any gen that isn't regress deactivates DS. I never had a problem with people stopping gen regression with DS. I had a problem with them working on it in my face because they had 60 of immunity.
This would let DS users stop regression but not allow them to work on a generator.
To be clear, 1 second is kinda long but I figured it was easier then saying tapping as tapping as no defined length of time.

Yeah the filter is kinda crazy. But you know, as BHVR said its meant to protect people from hearing racial, sexist and homophobic slurs (which I am all for). But instead you can't say social media sites, picked me up, tbag... Its censorship.

I got filtered for using
picked me up

Welp, that was some trouble you had to go through, thanks for actually doing that.
As for the video, i don't really have anything intelligent to say, only: L O L
Yeah, I just don't get it. I mean I do get it. From what I can tell is this, BHVR "profanity" filter isn't really a profanity filter, its a censorship filter with tiers.
From what I can tell, the more you swear or trigger the profanity filter (I am also guessing this takes into account your chat history before today as I haven't sworn once since the patch) the less you can say. So basically, the more you swear the less likely you'll be able to use the chat at all.
My problem is this, its an 18+ game. I swear all the time. Censoring me for swearing seems kinda crazy in my opinion. And censoring me to the point where picked me up is censored is even more crazy... like what is wrong with any of those words under any context?!?!

Others can apparently see it, so it must be on my end.
Thanks for going to the effort though, i'll look into it.
I uploaded it to youtube. Hopefully everyone can see it now. This was me being stupid and not realize twitch required people to follow and be subbed to see the video. Thats is 100% my fault.

I guess it is a click/follow bait. I don't see anything. WeirdChamp
Removed the twitch link, its now on youtube... Not a bait. Sorry I didn't realize that is how twitch worked.

I'm not subscribing to your twitch channel just to see what you are whining about. Is your keyboard broken?
Wait twitch videos require subs? Can I change that hold on. I'll see if I can change that or post it somewhere else.

Nothing is showing up.
Edit the OP to include a link to the twitch video. Thanks for letting me know

I could be wrong... but aren't most perks attached to a licensed character much rarer in the Shrine?

Every time someone says DBD is toxic and mean it, I just know they never played online games before 2010. lol
This game isn't really toxic, not in a way that you think it is. Its more trash talking then anything else.
"You bad", "You suck at the game", "Could you sweat any harder". People get upset because they don't get their 4k because they tunneled the guy with a flashlight or crouched at a pallet. Or they get upset because they got downed first and kill themselves on hook at 5 gens. So basically the killer wins that round now, because 3 people cant really do 5 gens unless they are just the best of the best and the killer makes 1000 mistakes.
Trash Talk isn't toxic, dying on hook isn't toxic, using DS isn't toxic, tunneling and camping aren't toxic. They are all just unfun but not really toxic. People just see these things as toxic because its against their moral code, not the games.
Please be aware, I do realize there are some people that say some really beyond terrible crap in the game, but that is more so the outlier then the average player. Those people are toxic and bad for the community, but someone calling you basic, or swearing, or just being annoyed because you played in a way that broke their moral code doesn't make them toxic or you toxic. It just a little trash talking to let out the annoyance from a game they felt cheated in.

I am new as Ghostface. I am learning him. He is different from my other mains (Myers, Freddy and PH). And he is kinda hard.
For Trapper, he is not my main. I just playing as him for some challange missions. And he is also hard.
Wait are you seriously suggesting a perk change because you are new or not good with particular killers?
-
My struggle rules are:
- The killer is camping and people are working on gens. If I am being camped and I see 1 or 2 people just standing around waiting for the killer to leave. I just die on second stage. If everyone is working on gens, I struggle for the whole 2 minutes
- If I hit second stage and I feel like no other survivor made an attempt to save me before I hit that stage, then I die on stage 2.
- If its doctor, I just kill myself on first hook.
-
Sooo uuuummmm literally just a text fix... you just have to change "an item" to "a map" and this whole bug goes away...
It was reported nearly 7 months ago before I re-reported it recently...
-
Soo... just to be clear... this might not be macros... For example I can almost entirely spin around as oni but I also play at 4600 DPI... Its not a macro, its just I am used to very high DPI. Oni actually causes me issues because sometimes I over turn way to much and do a 90 when I just meant to turn a little.
To be clear. I don't play only oni at 4600 I play every killer at that DPI. My ingame DPI is 4600 and my outta game DPI is 4000.

I think the only chance you got is to hope a group of survivors bring the offering that lets them all spawn together.
naw we figured it out... I am stupid... I don't need to do it all at once just to every survivor in the trial... I was trying to hard my first few games because I misunderstood.
-
Yeah, I realized that, I think the reason I hadn't completed it before is because I was trying to hard... I literally did it the match I was in when I posted this... But the forums don't let you delete your threads... so now my stupid leaves on forever. LOL
-
OMG I am an idiot and can't read... I dont have to do it all at once. got it this trial...

Someone woke up this morning on the wrong side of the bed.
OP is just making a QoL change request, one that I personally and I think many others would like.
People asking for QoL changes don't need to be berated.

Yeah thats why I said DM, you can just leave and not deal with the chat after...but there is also a fine line between trash talk and harrassing someone
Naw I totally get that... I love a little trash talk to me or from me.
Going into someones DM's is unacceptable though. And even if you are going to be such a horrible person, messaging them racist, homophobic, sexist, etc stuff NEEDS to be a hard no.

I'm really glad it worked out for you in the end! Only thing that confuses me is that I have that challenge completed and I'm certain I didn't do it with a map (because I never use maps). Oh well. It's a mystery, haha.
Key maybe? It might just need to be an aura item.
-
How is what I said "going off"? Please explain to me, how anything in this senstance (which is my reply to your initial statement.) going off?
Lets put it this way... If it wasn't bugged and I didn't spend two freaking hours to just learn its bugged... Then naw... but now I spent two hours on this and its just another thing in BHVR spaghetti that just doesn't work...
Its not even edited... so its not like you can say, well you changed it. I started going off to you after you started attacking me for using swear words. My initial reply to your comment was not rude, it was fairly understanding given my interactions with you so far.
You're the one who took it from there. not me.

No one was offended I simply asked if it was that serious and you went off like you did in the OP.
No didn't... Is reading hard for you... My response to that response was this
Lets put it this way... If it wasn't bugged and I didn't spend two freaking hours to just learn its bugged... Then naw... but now I spent two hours on this and its just another thing in BHVR spaghetti that just doesn't work...
Where did I go off in that reply?
EDIT: Just noticed I didn't even swear in that reply... unless freaking is swearing to you?

So to be clear... Toxic is overly used for this community... There are games out there that has way more offensive language then this game.
However, trash talking someone is fine in a game... However it should remain in game... Messaging someone out of game is differently to much.
Lastly just to be clear... Trash talking is okay... being racist, homophobic, sexist, etc... Thats not okay under any means... But calling someone ######### because they tunneled you in a game, as long as its in the in game chat... I approve.
-
Figured it out...
So the issue is the devs can't spell... The challenge reads
Escape the trial while carrying an item with no charges 1 time(s) and using the perk Open-Handed.
But it Appears they mean:
Escape the trial while carrying a map with no charges 1 time(s) and using the perk Open-Handed
Though to be fair... It might work with a key to as someone pointed out, open handed is an aura reading perk... So this challenge is meant for aura reading items. Maybe specify that type of information next time BHVR...

Yeah, something about seeing condescending people trying to police the feelings of others always upsets me. Must be something to do with my constitution.
let him be offended... Him being offended seems to really only be effecting him, so if he chooses to be offended by the forums replacing my swear words with [BAD WORD] then let him be offended at this point. No real winning is all I figured out.

As a side note I suspect that the issue was that the medkit isn't an aura item, while the map is and, possibly, the challenge description is incomplete. After all, Open Handed works with auras. It's a very wild tin-foil guess, though.
######### WORKED MATE.... Thank you so much! It makes a lot of sense now that you state that, but it isn't want the challenge says to do...
