I don't have a lot of trouble avoiding the Nurse. Not looping, just playing normally while not really having to get near her. My understanding is that this is uncommon though, she's always listed as a top-tier killer. I personally hate going up against the Hag and Wraith more. Far more cheap.
-
I have relatively little trouble against the Nurse. I don't know why. Play cautiously, keep your distance, and listen for her screams. I usually don't even encounter her.
-
I would think that all mouse players are better at maneuvering than joystick players. That said, I don't care. I grew up with controllers and play all my PC games with a 360 controller.
-
-Playing against Freddy on Midwich, which I've gotten to do only once, was an awesome experience. That map suits him far better than the Badham maps. That match felt like simulating an actual game of Nightmare on Elm Street.
-
Solo survivor.
The Game is my favorite. I love the aesthetic, I love the complexity, I love the Saw franchise. Next would be pretty much all the other indoor maps. Hawkins lab, Lery's hospital, Midwich elementary. I like the tighter, more mazelike gameplay (though I very much love most of the rest of the open maps as well, Red Forest in particular).
The map I like the least is the Saloon. I hate the color scheme, I hate the layout, and I hate how exposed everyone is. The map just feels like a chore for some reason, the only one to me that does. The only other map I don't really care for is the 6703 identical variations of the Badham / Springwood (can we not just say ELM STREET) maps. They're awkwardly designed and tiresome.
-
Meg, though apparently for some reason I'm considered the devil because of this or something. I don't get it, she's pretty. Love her hair and her figure. Virtually all the female characters are pretty to be honest. The only ones that I think aren't are Feng and Claudette. Nothing to do with race, everything to do with face.
I'm straight but I recognize that Felix, Ash, Jeff and in particular Steve are handsome.
Most of the characters in this game are pleasant to look at, except for Quentin who I'm convinced was originally designed as a monster.
-
Jeff, Meg, Claudette and Bill. They seem like they'd be the most likely to hang out and share interesting stories with you. Plus Dwight, because I feel bad for him.

Have you read his lore? It gets a lot better if you read his and yun jin’s as the back each other well.
That’s the point. Like clown he uses his guise a an artist to kill people and use them to make his music. Both like killing and use their “jobs” as a gateway to kill
His name is based off his stage name. If you’ve read his lore you would know that
His lore isn't necessarily terrible, I just don't like the character concept. I find it silly and non-threatening. I mean again, you have a game full of poltergeists, witches, mutants, monsters, and famous slashers, and then you have some random obnoxious day-glo raver who throws knives. I find it dumb.

Trickster's backstory is way more compelling than Legion's IMO, as is his design.
We'll have to agree to disagree.

He plays live on stage. Of course he isn’t going to look insane because that’s not the image he wants to present his audience.
Legion are a group of edgy teens in masks and they fit just fine
I don't care about the reasons, I find him stupid. He's just some guy you'd bump into on the street who happens to like killing people. There's nothing special or memorable about him. Nothing physically imposing, nothing threatening. Anyone can throw knives at you, and that's all he can do.
Legion at least has a somewhat compelling backstory, a cool look (subjective) and seems to have been the archetype for Ghostface before they knew they could get Ghostface. Trickster (who doesn't do anything especially tricky) is just...A human DJ whose power is having throwing knives. They might as well have made a character who was a librarian that could stun you by yelling at you to be quiet.

When survivors complain the devs take action immediately but when killers complain the devs just be like "nahhh your fine deal with it and we will be nerfing a killer and their perks."
I think that the devs listen to the survivors more than they listen to the killers to balance out the fact that they listen to the killers more than they listen to the survivors.

They’ve evolved from making bargain versions of horror icons to making their own killers. What makes trickster any less out of place than a cowboy or a priestess?
The fact that he's just some guy.
Over here we have a cannibal wearing someone else's face. Here's a floating, faceless nurse. Here's a deformed woman with a ghastly conjoined twin. Here's a disembodied spirit. Here's an insane doctor who's harnessed the power of electricty and mind control. Here's an interdimensional mutant. Here's a Kpop star who has throwing knives.

I love Midwich, The Game, and Hawkins. They're something different. Not every map should be a giant, wide-open field.
My least favorite map, by far, is the saloon. I hate the colors, I hate the layout, I hate how exposed everyone is. But hey, the more maps the better. Again, variety.

The problem with the "just do generators" argument is that killers may not realize how few points you get for doing that. I try to play stealthy, carefully, strategically, and only go for saves when I feel it's especially safe to do so. Since everyone loves camping, it doesn't happen often. Well, I'm not going to throw myself out for a free down and make it that less likely that we'll win, so I hang back and do generators, like everyone says to do.
The result? The teammates who get whacked and saved over and over get 15 to 25 thousand points for their heroic efforts. Me, for having hung back and done three generators in an attempt to actually turn the game around, I get maybe 8 or 9.
The game rewards running out there and doing a little bit of everything. When someone's being camped you can't just wait it out and do generators or you get so few points you might as well not be playing the game. The person who runs out for the save and gets clobbered gets twice what I do for being stupid. Me, I get enough to afford a couple of cheap toolboxes.
-
I just asked this exact same question a few weeks ago, lol.
-
I'm a solo survivor and generally don't have many complaints. I feel that I escape a fair amount of times, sometimes with all three of the others. In the beginning it was pretty tough, yes, and I still get games where apparently a fourth member (me) is of such low priority that he's allowed to die on the hook sometimes, but it more or less gets better the more you play.
-
I don't think that solo players should necessarily be catered to (I myself am a solo survivor) but I do think that there should be some kind of subtle balancing to offset the fact that they're playing with people they don't know, often teams who work together and chat and all that crap.
-
I stand at the gate if there's someone else in the map and I'm not sure where they are or if it's safe to go for the rescue. If I and others are at the gate it's because we made it there, not because killers are so nice that they play to lose.

I appreciate this, thank you. I’ve recently switched from using Bill to Dwight and it’s incredible how useful Bond is. I’m hoping to get Bill’s teachable because I do miss BT when I play Dwight. And thank you for the code too.
You're welcome. I've found that having aura perks (Kindred and Dark Sense come soon on their own in the blood web) helps you to get a feel for how other players move and behave, as well as giving you a bit of an advantage as you try to navigate and learn you way around the various maps. To me that's been the greatest help. I'm sure that by now if I switched to the more powerful perks I'd probably do a little better but being able to get a general sense of where others are as I play really suits my playstyle and helps others as well (some of the perks provide aura reading abilities for others in the match).

I've lurked the forums enough to know that matchmaking sucks, I'm not here to complain about that. I've been playing for about two weeks and I'm just wondering what I can do as a new player without many good perks or killers when the game decides to throw my rank 17 baby killer in with rank 1 survivors, or when it decides to solo queue me with purple and red ranks who still decide to let me die on first hook. Any help from people who have been there?
I know you're not asking but feel free to add me, my name here is the same as it is everywhere. I'm a solo survivor main and if you'd like to play with someone who's also somewhat new (6 weeks for me) maybe we can match up and offset the horrible ranking system a bit.
Otherwise, my personal advice (just what worked for me anyway) is to get aura perks as soon as you can. Dwight's Bond plus Dark Sense and Kindred really help to make you aware of your surroundings in a match. The third perk is up to you. You don't have to follow this advice, but I found these perks to be lifesavers when learning the ropes. Still use them a lot.

I had a match earlier where I decided to play as Meg because I got a new outfit for her. I joined a match with two Claudettes and I don't remember who the other person was, but they changed into Meg too so there were two Claudettes and two Megs.
Match started and I found a gen to work on, but the Huntress chased the Claudettes near me, so I tried to leave the area when I ran into the other Meg. She followed me around the map and I don't know why. I don't know if she was trying to see if I was doing actual work or if she was new to the game and was lost or scared or if she was just playing with me. Anyways, she followed me for a while until I ran up to help one of the Claudettes finish a gen. The Claudette waved at us to follow and we did, but I saw a totem so I stopped to do it. I try to do at least two or three totems a match and this was my second one that match. Well, the Meg stayed with me and she got in and out of a locker so I thought maybe she had Inner Strength and I let her destroy the totem. While she was destroying it, I started to go find the Claudette and she stopped destroying it and started following me again. I told her to go destroy the totem and I stayed next to her while she finished destroying it. We made our way near the killer shack and she decided to go into the basement to loot a chest so I followed her. While she was opening the chest, I crouched next to her and was like "Ooooh what're you gonna get!?" She got a flashlight and I was like "Coolies!" but she hesitated before taking it and I said "You can have it xD" so she took it. We ended up getting separated because the Huntress downed her and one of the Claudettes. I managed to help the Claudette up, but the Meg got hooked. I tried to take the Huntress far away so the Meg could be saved and they could heal. Well, the other Claudette finished the last gen and when the Huntress finally hit me, I went down immediately due to NOED. As she was picking me up, I was like "Please go save the other Meg - don't worry about me!" I got hooked and I guess one of them had a key so one Claudette and the Meg left and the other Claudette was opening the gate. I killed myself so the Claudette wouldn't try to save me.
All in all, it was a really fun match eventhough I died. I'm a big sister irl and it reminded me so much of being a big sister, having the Meg follow me around xD
That's really sweet. I also like "Coolies". :)
I played a match against The Spirit on Coldwind tonight. Tough match, as most Spirit matches are. I wound up being the only survivor and made it to the gate but she downed me. "Ah well, good game anyway" I thought. I didn't fight back, which I often don't as a sign or respect to the killer that they played a good game (subtle, and most probably don't notice, but I still like doing it). To my surprise she ran all over the map for a couple minutes before finding the hatch and letting me have it. I nodded, hoping that nods show up even when you're downed, and crawled in. I commented "sportsmanship FTW". Thank you, Gumbananas!
Then there was this. I didn't do it in any way to be a jerk to the killer (who won a steady game, one in which I played terribly), an opportunity just came up and I went with it for a laugh. You don't have to watch the whole thing but I call this little clip "Silent Bill". XD

Well no offense bu the essay was in-depth because it was meant for the devs. They need as much information as possible.
Anyway you're not wrong on paper about Vigo's shroud, but there are two issues I have with it: I shouldn't have to always waste my offering slot just to counter something that shouldn't be happening anyway, and I've been told by several experienced players that this offering should be avoided like the plague anyway because killers can tell when it's used in the loadout screen and tend to make a beeline for the farthest areas from their spawn point anyway, thus negating it altogether.
For me, the simple fact is that killers and survivors should not be placed virtually right next to each other. The maps are big enough for this to not be necessary, ever. Everyone should have a chance to explore their surroundings and get a feel for the map without pressure from the other side starting within mere seconds of the match. No killer should be so close that the survivors have six seconds to leave the starting room before they get chased, as demonstrated in my video. That's a bit much.

This is accurate and how I feel too. And jfc I'm getting more survivors working with the Killer these days against the team to farm points. It really is infuriating, especially if you're the last survivor. Other day I had a Bubba and a Nea both hunting me and the other team mates were dead. Last night a Nea and a Claudette farming me and the other Solo survivor with an Oni (we got mori'd at the end, they ran put the gate with 27k BP each). And there's nothing you can do. Can't disconnect because of the penalty.
These people are just toilet film.
On the other hand, (and few and far between), I have fun with decent survivors, or ones that are chill and joke around. I guess that's why I still play. For those rare times I'm not face camped, tunneled, or farmed lol.
"Toilet film". I like that.
I find collusion (killers and survivors working together) the absolute bottom of the barrel scumbag behavior possible. It doesn't just ruin the game for each and every other player, it actively sabotages their own chance of enjoyment. It blatantly flies in the face of what the game is all about with a giant middle finger. When I'm in a position where I see this happening and the two little friends don't realize that I've seen them running together or whatever, it sickens me. I try to go out of my way to run circles at the survivor, point to them, body block them, do whatever I can to let them know that I see what they're up to. Then, of course, I report both participants. I record every match I play so screenshots are coming as well. If the devs care, they'll find a way to fix this. If the game is smart enough to understand things like "deviancy" then I'm sure a system could be put in place to monitor how often a killer and survivor are around each other and not involved in a chase or any other competitive action.
People like that disgust me. They're cowards.

Ultimately, I don't enjoy playing against people who are less interested in playing a game with me and more interested in spending the entire time trying to piss me off. It's not the following me around clicking that bothers me, or the tbagging at the gates; it's not the action, it's the intent. It's the fact that there are people that behave like that because their idea of fun is making someone else angry that gets to me. I don't think that's going to change and I wish I had the option to sidestep them, because I'm here to play a fun game, not get my teeth kicked in by a group of pissants who want to revel in how much better they are than I am. Same deal as when you load into the game as a survivor and it's an irihead huntress/MD Spirit/Bubba whose only intention is to slug the whole team and watch you all bleed out because they have a grudge against survivors and want to see how many -reps they can get on their profile. Even when I survive against them, or kill the Dwelf that was tbagging at every window, I'm still pissed off over the exposure, because what kind of person does that? You can say ''you're the one in control of your responses" all you like, and you're not necessarily wrong, but it doesn't change the fact that there are bad eggs in the playerbase and engaging them is not a good time. That runs directly counter to why I'm here and it's not immature to want to stop playing after you get unfun experience after another.
Nor do I want to turn off the chat - I have more friendly interactions than bad and I'm not going to lose that because some people are compulsive jerks. (On that note, the censor was an abysmal idea and solves nothing.)
Bad community makes people drop a game and I don't understand why people are so ardent on defending it as something healthy. "Stop being annoyed by it" is an answer, but if most people here had that level of emotional control, you wouldn't see a fraction of the salt you do in postgame chat, or the rage over every mechanic that favors one side or the other. It's just not happening, it's unrealistic to expect perfect apathy towards provocation as a baseline, and it's not an answer that retains the players who bail because the game frustrates them more than it gives them a good experience.
(I should add, saltwise, that that's the only thing that makes me angry in game - I don't care about winning or losing, I care about when players are trying give each other a bad time.)
Everything you're saying is valid. I completely agree with you: Survivor or killer, win or lose, I don't care. I just want to have fun, chill and enjoy the game as it's intended, and play matches long enough to mathematically NOT be a waste of my time.
In the case of being annoyed by the toxic sociopaths, I know that it's not easy to just "flip a switch" and not b bothered by them. They suck, they DO ruin games, and when you sit and stew on it and think about how ######### it is that they're ruining games, the angrier you get. I know the feeling. There's an area near my house where punk teenagers gather and rev up their engines, play loud bass music, etc., sometimes well until 2 or 3 in the morning. This is a neighborhood. They have no reason to be doing this. They're allowed to, because they have permission from the owner of the lot to be there. They just aren't supposed to causing a disturbance, so when they do, cops are called. The cops - who are probably related to half the kids in this stupid little town - simply swing through for 30 seconds, ask them to tone it down, and drive off. This happens a dozen times a month, nothing ever changes. No tickets are given, nothing stops it. In the summer of 2018 I literally had something akin to a nervous breakdown because of this. It wasn't the noise so much (though that obviously bothered me, especially since I have GAD), it was the principle of it. The simple fact is that these people were showing absolutely no consideration for anyone else, they knew that they were in the middle of a neighborhood and couldn't have cared less if they were annoying anyone else with their behavior. They seemed to get off on it.
Eventually I started to try to teach myself not to be so angry. To tell myself that I can't control what other people do. Rationalize the fact that it happened during a relatively short amount of time during the day. Work against it with headphones or a white noise machine. At first I asked myself "why should I have to be doing any of this? Why is it me that has to make the changes and adapt when I'm not the one doing anything wrong"? But sooner or later - though it took quite a while and to be honest I'm still trying to deal with it - I just sort of came to a form of acceptance. It's just going to happen. By carrying it with me, by knowingly allowing myself to be upset by it, I'm allowing them to ruin my night. Just shut the windows, turn on the fan, turn up the TV, whatever, and try not to think about it. I know it sucks. BELIEVE me, I know it sucks. I know how ######### it is to deal with people who think that they rule the world and shouldn't be expected to behave like decent human beings. It's miserable.
But I heard a good quote one day: Allowing yourself to carry on in anger over someone else's actions is like drinking poison and expecting it to affect the other person. Don't drink the poison. Try to remind yourself that not every game is like that, not every player is a piece of #########, and that if they actually knew you as a person they likely wouldn't be doing such juvenile things. They're just doing it because they're dumb, and the person they're facing isn't a person to them. It's just an anonymous villain who's controlled by some rando behind a computer screen.
What I'm saying is, I share your irritation. Not in this game, but in other walks of life. And while it doesn't eliminate the issue, it does help to try to change your mindset. Try not to take things personally. Try to understand that the human brain doesn't finish development until the mid to late 20s, and most of these people are just young brats who think that the world revolves around them. When they mess with you, just laugh. Laugh knowing that the misery that is adult life will wipe those smug grins off their faces soon enough.

This is why I complain about being spawned in so close to the killer, which is happening on a regular basis now.
I've never waited 20 minutes for a game - I wouldn't unless I was also doing something else, something worth focusing on during the wait - but I HAVE had queues of around 5-7 minutes, which already feels like forever. Then another minute to wait for the inevitable idiot who insists on running out the lobby clock (there's always at least one, I guess that's the rule), then almost another minute to load the actual match. That's around ten total minutes of waiting.
Then boom, no matter what direction I go or how I go about trying to get there, the killer is on me within 20 seconds or less. I recorded a match just two days ago where I and the other teammates were against the exit gate in Gideon's, and could only go forward, and by the time we left the room - six seconds - Freddy was already around the corner coming to get us. Six seconds.
-
I'd be extremely disappointed. That character would just be a promotional tie-in rather than something I feel most fans would actually enjoy. No one knows much about the character, she's just a flapper babe with big breasts. For that reason tons of people want her. Maybe the character is actually boring, irritating, lame, etc., and we wouldn't know it until the game were released.
I'd much prefer any iconic RE killer over her. Then at least we know what we're dealing with.

Solo is a mixed bag. Some games are pretty fun. Some games you get hard tunneled out of existence because a fellow survivor unhooks without BT and immediately activates their stealth camouflage. Other games, you don't make it a foot away from the hook because you got farmed without BT. Other games, you run the killer for 5 minutes, then as you go down, you see the 3 yellow auras of your teammates hiding behind a bush in the corner of the map
If you're seeing the pattern, usually solo isn't miserable because of the killer. It's usually miserable because of the teammates. I'd love for SWF/Solo/Killer to be balanced equally, and I do think SWF is currently a bit busted, but I do also understand why people would want to play SWF when solo can be a bit maddening
This is the best way to put it. I solo survivor and my experiences are a completely mixed bag. Sometimes I have loads of fun whether I win or lose. Sometimes I have an absolutely miserable time and don't even want to touch the game for the rest of the day because I get matched against several experts in a row, have crummy teammates, and / or get paired up with survivors who are working with the killers which is the most pathetic, rage-inducing ######### this game is capable of.
I wish I could say that I had a consistent way of enjoying this game, but I don't. I just hope for the best.

What you need is another tune that's repetitive, catchy enough to get stuck in your head, but more entertaining to listen to than Huntress' tune. I would start with this one.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPAr7kL-mmg -
I haven't played many of the killers - I play as a survivor main - but I've given a few killers a try and I found Legion pretty fun actually. As a human who can (when certain conditions are met) do things like slide across pallets, he plays similarly to survivors. His power is also easy to use. You basically just enter a frenzied state where it's easier and more rewarding to rush forward and stab victims.
I'm sure more experienced players will have a number of reasons to choose someone else, but if you're looking for a relatively easy starter killer to begin learning the ropes, I myself would go with Legion.

4-year player here on multiple consoles.
DbD is no longer fun and here is why:
1) Cross-play disabled = sweaty mode. As a solo queue survivor cross-play disabled is a nightmare. The only reason I do this is to avoid 12+ minute wait times for a match. That only games you get are against top-tier (OP) Killers controlled by THE sweatiest players that will do everything in their power to make you have a bad time.
2) Cross-play enabled = you're on your own mode. As a solo queue survivor cross-play enabled is a nightmare. Enjoy waiting 12+ minutes to be paired with survivors far under your skill level that will only function as liabilities rather than assets. The Killer will also likely be a PC player which means its really a 1v~2 game mode.
3) Community is probably one of the most toxic gaming communities in gaming history. From T-bagging and SWF (huge advantage by communicating through Discord or other equivalent) to harassment, insults, and hateful messages left on your steam profile page. This community thrives in bullying each other and the developers have turned a blind eye to the situation.
4) Entitlement. According to each side there are unwritten rules that must be followed at all times. Streamers especially like pointing out which "rules" you break and get followers to harass you.
5) PC players have advantage through exploiting high input sensitivity (confirmed by dev on devstream). No PC player has to worry about landing a hit (especially Nurses). With a tweak of your mouse sensitivity and a flick of your wrist an attack in any direction will hit. Same goes for survivors, max your look sensitivity and spin in a circle, from the Killer's POV it just looks like you shake left then right and phase through attacks.
6) Servers are garbage. Dropped a pallet? You're not safe, a Killer's attack will still hit you. Get a notification that Dead Hard activated allowing you to dodge an attack? You're still getting hit. You got the animation for grabbing a survivor? Nope. You'll freeze in place for roughly five seconds while they get a head start running away.
7) Meta perks need updating buffs/nerfs, older killers that haven't been changed in a long time are way below in the tier rankings.
At some point this game stopped being fun. People don't play to have a good time, just to aggravate and bully others.
I'm done with it.
I agree that the toxicity is a little high for this game though certainly not unique to it.
As for everything else, again, I find that it's true of most games, not really specific to this one. I'm a solo survivor and also don't have the miserable experiences nor 12 minute queues that you have. Do I have some frustrating games against some really cheap (or way too differently ranked) killers? Yes, it definitely happens. Do I sometimes feel like I wait forever for a match? Yes, up to five minutes (plus a minute for someone to wait out the lobby clock, then at least another 40 to 60 seconds for the map to load) sucks, especially when I go against someone who ruins my game within 2-3 minutes.
But generally speaking I don't think that this game is treated any worse by its developers than many other games, nor do I think it's horrendously worse a game to begin with. I guess we've just had different experiences.
-
I began by maining Dwight, Meg, Claudette and Nea because those were the free characters that I felt had the most useful perks for my playstyle. Now that I've begun prestiging and teaching perks between characters I find them mostly interchangeable except for Meg, who I like playing the most because I find her cute.
When I start building up extra BP I'll move onto other characters like Jeff and Kate, etc.
-
I prefer, when it comes down to it, "hide and seek" than "tag". I always have. Games like Monstrum were great at this, forcing the player to be cautious and pay attention to his surroundings. One serious mistake and boom, game over. I enjoy that, I love the adrenaline rush of creeping around and dashing under a desk or inside a locker whenever I sense that the monster is coming. When I DO get into a chase I love the excitement of running away and trying to lose him in a maze (as opposed to just run boring circles around obstacles). I love the feeling of quickly jumping into cover not knowing if he saw me, and waiting with held breath as he enters the room looking for me.
Killer? Eh. It's essentially just playing as The Terminator to me. Find, chase, destroy, repeat. I love the killer designs and have nothing against the killers or those who prefer them, I just find that style of game to be a lot less interesting.

There is counter played a 1k match where two just wouldn't let me set up. There is counterplay just requires good attention. And when you put Spirit and Hag so close together it's likely to misinterpreted.
Again, I feel it's subjective. Everyone seems to think that the Nurse is equal to the Spirit, I have a much easier time with Nurse. I've probably won more matches against her than lost. I kind of don't see the fuss. I think a lot of it depends on the individual playstyle.

If you guys are interpreting "cheap" to mean "easy to learn" that's not what I meant. "Cheap", in my opinion, means "unfairly tricky, unreasonably difficult to predict or counter using conventional gameplay methods without having to rely on specific perks".

So you don't believe Hag takes that much to master?
I'm not saying that, no. I've never tried using her. Based on how tricky she is I would actually assume that she's fairly difficult to master.
My complaint isn't about the people who use her, I respect anyone who can decimate a whole team in minutes the way people who use her can. My complaint is how OP the character's powers seem to me. I mean she can surround a hooked survivor with portals, thus popping up instantly out of nowhere to attack anyone who comes close, while also have 6 or 7 portals all over the rest of the area - in front of generators, in front of windows, anything, and there's no limit to how often she can do this. In addition to trying to keep track of where the Hag is you also have to figure that at any time there are also TEN other spots where she can suddenly be, without warning. It's incredibly difficult to counter that.

The only situation in which Wraith or every killer in the game is unconterable is when you're outpositioned.
Be mindful of your environment, listen for his audio queues and be near pallets and windows to defend yourself once he gets to you.
Your advice is in theory perfectly valid, but the problem is that Wraith can now pretty much just hang out and wait for you to be anywhere that's to his advantage, then zoom over and smack you halfway before you've even realized that he's uncloaked. I'm not necessarily calling for a nerf, I just thing that the latest buffs he got push him over the line. Invisible AND super fast AND basically totally silent AND he can now uncloak right near you without you even hearing him do it? That's just too much. It's as if the survivors are expected to play the entire game as a group, in the diamond formation, just to avoid him instantly appearing and starting the downing process.
I admit that I'm still a pretty new player, I'm humble in my defeats. I know that with practice it won't be so bad. I just don't understand how I can have a more or less fair game against pretty much any other killer - sometimes I win, sometimes I lose, it's all good - yet whenever I face the Wraith now (definitely NOT before the update), I just pretty much always lose. I can walk, or run, or even try to hide (which I hate doing, I don't like playing that way) yet no matter how aware of my surroundings I try to be, he has every sensory advantage over me AND he's now faster than he was before. Since the update there has not been one time where he uncloaked within my vicinity and failed to land a hit pretty much the SECOND he fully appeared, and chase me so fast that he lands the second hit just a moment later. And I just sit there thinking "what could I have possibly done to avoid this"?

It was a knock on how powerful she is in the hands of a skilled player. It's subjective but I put Hag right up there next to Spirit in terms of "oh well, I might as well just let her kill me I guess" cheapness.

So can someone explain why Huntress's hatchets are circles and not you know what every other hit box is a square because all i get when facing her are impossible hits.
I can dodge Huntress' hatches extremely easily. Except for the times that I can't. I've noticed that whatever shape they are, whether they actually hit seems to be random.

Oh god, now I'm imagining DBDers in WWE games.
'Nerf The Rock!'
'Rick Flair is a crutch wrestler!'
'Nerf cage matches!'
Eeeww...
Sort of. It was usually more like "these are the same create-a-wrestler parts that were in the game last year. There's nothing new. The developers are lazy". "Hey, remember that glitch that reset your championship data in the last two games? They said they'd fix it but it's still in the game this year, AGAIN. This is the last time I'm buying one of these games (until the next year, of course). "Wait a minute, the average skill level of Daniel Bryain is only 89? He should be at least a 92 or a 93. Do the devs even watch this show"? "Another year, another round of bugs. Nothing ever changes". "Do they listen to us at all"? "Oh look, the latest patch messed a bunch of other things up. Great job, THQ / 2K". "Why did they remove this? It was one of the best features, the game sucks now". "Why did they change this? That's not realistic, the WWE doesn't work that way, this is stupid". "The game is too much like an arcade fighter". "The game is too much like a realistic simulator". "Online sucks". "Nothing is fair". "I hate everything".
Literally the same crap, just different details lol.

To be perfectly fair I think that teabagging also happens a lot because there's no human connection. You're just the villain on the screen that wants to kill them. But I was doing a ritual last week and, despite doing plenty of stabbing and some hooking, chose to let all the survivors live. Why not? We all gain something.
At the exit gate all four were there and at least two of them were teabagging. I just stood there and nodded. They all stopped in their tracks, confused. I nodded again. Two nooded back, I walked away, and they all calmly left. In chat several said "gg" and after I told them what I was doing and to enjoy their points, one of them even thanked me.
Teabagging is stupid, and many players of this game act like children. But I think it's interesting (and cool) that when I showed some of them that "hey, I'm like you guys, I'm just trying to have fun", they understood and dropped the taunting.

Thanks for the answers guys. Good to know I'm not just doing it incorrectly.

That day has finally come, people are complaining about the Wraith, basic M1 killer, i can't believe it lol
What difference does it make how many buttons a person has to press in order to successfully attack someone who has literally no way to counter your powers?

I absolutely can't stand the Wraith anymore. I used to enjoy his unique challenge, now he's just phenomenally cheap. It's already a bit of an uphill expectation to be able to adequately evade a killer who moves super fast while invisible, but at the very least he had to reveal himself with the bell and take a few seconds to uncloak. Now, and apparently it's not just me getting this impression, he uncloaks and enters the ready state WAY too fast, catches up WAY too fast, and on top of that can avoid even having to use the bell when uncloaking. I mean good lord, that's a little much.
You know how some people say that they immediately want to DC when they face the Spirit? That's how I feel now when I face the Wraith. The whole game I'm just going crazy looking over my shoulder everywhere I go, anytime I stop, desperately trying to focus on whether I can catch a tiny glimpse of the 95% invisible blur from all potential directions while also doing gens, unhooking teammates, or even just running for a place to hide. Only for a sudden bout of "nope, I guess I happened to be looking in the wrong direction for that 0.03 seconds and now I've been hit. And oh look, I made it twenty feet before he hit me again. It's my fault for not having the map put windows and pallets next to me.
######### the Wraith. I absolutely abhor playing him. It's the absolute epitome of cheapness. How are you supposed to even avoid him now? He's nothing but "zoom around at the speed of light, sneak up on someone, get a free hit, race right over to them and down then. Hook, cloak, step away a few feet, repeat the process". Yay, so fun!

Question for anyone who attempts wiggling with a controller: Do you literally juggle the stick back and forth or do you swirl it in a circle under your palm? I've tried both methods and escape maybe once out of every twenty times. I don't know if that's really bad, really good or what, but I worry that if it's THAT unlikely to get free then I might as well not bother and extend the life of my controller.

I swear it’s both killers and survivors, there seems to be these made up rules that everyone has for this game and how they expect you to play and if you don’t follow them now your toxic. I swear this whole game would be so much more better if everyone just saw each other as people and not just killer or survivor
This game, like many games, are a microcosm of society. We live in a profoundly entitled, instant gratification age.
Trust me, I used to moderate the WWE game forums at THQ. The players there were just as entitled as anyone you see here. It's not unique to DBD.

Teabagging boosts the ego of those with insecurities.
