You don’t get to have the luxury of a team to help you survive the Killer only when it’s beneficial, then when it becomes detrimental you suddenly get to have the power to stand up to the Killer solo. ( IE : Old Hatch stand offs).

You live as a team, you die as a team. It’s that simple. Your team failed, like it or not, you were part of that team. However, you are rewarded for simply outliving everyone else via a chance at the hatch. Further rewarded for failing to even get that by a very small chance to open a door.

If any mindset is wrong, it’s thinking that you should have anything at all after failure, twice over. However the developers did give you one anyway.

It's only a team game if you're playing swf.

  • Yeah. Really should be 4k or even just ruthless (1 pip).

  • I follow my own rules which are generally.

Step 1- get all BBQ stacks

Step 2- gens popping, 2 gens left 4 survivors I'll tunnel/camp if necessary

Usually if someone farms someone off the hook, I'll down injured guy amd go for the farmer. Sometimes if I need momentum I'll be a dick.

Even if you play nice you'll still get hatemail.

moris are literally a daily ritual for killers, it is not only part of the game, it is part of the achievement list.

the game pretty much requires killers to play moris.

Requirement? Sure. Even though I've played over 1000 killer matches since November and probably used a mori in maybe 2 or 3 of those games. Hardly a requirement.

  • I dodge moris. I put up with killers that lobby dodge all the time. They can put up with me mori dodging.

Now if you want a fair trade of not allowing killers to see survivors pre-match then I'm all for blocking secret offerings as well. Until then, well, killers justified lobby dodging as "why play a game if I know I won't have fun" and now the shoe is on the other foot and SURPRISE- they don't like getting dodged. Go figure.

I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but #4 almost certainly will not happen. Bloodpoint gains are disabled in KYF for a very good reason, and enabling them isn't very likely. It would likely just result in a bunch of people farming for bloodpoints for hours on end, which isn't fun for anyone and is just going to cause people to burn themselves out more than anything.

We are taking a look into the grind and seeing how we can lessen it, though.

Not to be rude, but I think it's time you guys do something about the grind instead of just come up with ideas for it. Numerous ideas have already been brought up months ago. Yet the only response is we're looking into it. Grind is a necessary evil, but it's pretty ridiculous right now.

  • Gens probably could be slowed down a hair.

I agree. But mics and chat should be disabled too. You shouldn't be able to communicate with other survivors, pin-pointing every move the killer makes. That's my prob and it's not just SWF either. On PS4, they go into party chat and still communicate while running solo. I get group invites 2 outta every 5 games when I play solo survivor, so I can just imagine how bad SWF is on ps4 with it. What if the killer could communicate with the entity and know every move your team makes?

Ive played plenty of solo games on PS4 and the only time I get party invites are to farm which is pretty rare.

Nice trying to spin the narrative though.

  • Isn't it pretty much whispers?

  • Just have it when end game happens that the door lights on both sides are either already powered or not powered (door progress would stay the same). Having the killer take a few more steps tp actually find a survivor as opposed to just seeing a door light powered up would at least gives survivors an extra second or two. It also gives them some mind game potential as well.

As it is now, it's just too stacked for the killer. I usually just try to get a few more bold points if the doors are too close together.

  • Ivory mori should be base kit and allowable on 1 player after 4 survivors have been hooked at least once. This promotes and rewards killers that go out of their way to hook everyone. If you camp, proxicamp, and tunnel a survivor to death before all four survivors are dead, no mori.

    Ebony more should not exist.

I hope they don't get rid of prayer beads, It's one of the few things in the game left that can actually get experienced players scared. I do think they should make it an ultra rare though.

Agreed. Though it's difficult to play against, it's also makes great jump scares.

Great it stays for people, not for me since when i reset to get the last bloody clothing item at P3 and start again on a brand new character

Yep. I feel you. I am about a month or 1 from all survivors P3/all perks. This just wastes my time.

    It sucks being a completionist.

  • @Tzeentchling9 said:

Try playing killer past rank 10 without it and see what happens.

Yep. I play more survivor, but plenty of killer. Hex Ruin is almost a requirement as usually 2 gens pop before the first survivor is down.

  • Calm down. If you need a mori than you deserve the black pip.

  • I'm disappointed. They need to do something about the grind. This doesn't help if you're a completionist.

  • Fwiw, sometimes it's just bad lag. I had someone accuse me of it and I wouldn't do it and I don't know how to do it.

swamp is the perfect map. but the theme is ugly and disgusting. and that's what is making it hated. change my mind

Agreed. Probably the most balanced but it's so drab amd dreary.

  • Lol. It's fine as it is if not a bit too slow.

  • Yep. Rank 1, played against a camping Hillbilly with BBQ, SF & enduring. Camped and 1 hooked pretty early in the game. He was rank 3 btw. Real fun.

  • I think it makes sense, but it would really hurt survivors when there is 1 gen left but only 2 or 3 survivors left.

Gens definitely nees slower repair/faster regression in the early game though.

  • Yeah. I certainly haven't figured it out yet.

Because they're not disconnecting in-game, they're disconnecting during the loading screen, to take advantage of the band-aid fix to prevent 3-man lobbies from starting a round, just as everyone said they would.

No different than killers dodging lobbies. Womp womp.

  • No different than months and months of killers dodging. Sucks, but I'll consider the killer queue times being too long an issue in about 7 or 8 months.

  • I play as survivor with my friends because it's easier to chit char and play survivor than to have them in my party talking while I'm trying to kill.

Solo survivor is pretty boring most times.

Killer is not fun to me really either, but those bloodpoints are hard to pass up on. And at least there is variety.

  • Killers get rewarded for kicking gens and pallets. Why should you be rewarded for failure? Letting survivors get on the gens and pallet stun you. Sad.

Why do killer mains always want to limit survivor point gaining? From a killer point of view there are plenty of legitimate things to complain about. Survivors gaining more bp is not one of them. Grow up, losers.

  • Honestly the wiggling should be the button mashing instead of the toggle and the struggle should be hold x (or just a timer).

  • Keys are fine.

  • I think it's great. Killers are less apt to dodge if they can't immediately find a new lobby each time. I still see some dodgers, but not nearly at the same rate.

Also, I play killer as well and though wait times are longer, they're not usually that long. Maybe during the mornings they can be 5 minutes, but during peak dbd time it's not usually that long.

  • Yeah. Terrible mechanic. It's just annoying. Please get rid of it.

The best decision i ever made was deleting Dead By Daylight. The devs have made this game so rewarding for bad killers and hide it behind a terribly pixelated burning ground. I do not enjoy playing in Dead by daylight for one simple fact. They dont really kill any one. Like REALLY kill. DBD looks like a supped up PS3 title. At least in F13 Jason actually murders you a couple hundred ways and the graphics look alot nicer. The rewards for completing objective.. Not just finger banging a generator.

Dead By Daylight is a game where playing killer rewards you for being bad at the game. The Devs finally ruined DBD. I was devotion 5/54. I loved this game and Endgame Collapse ruined the experience to the point were i had to delete it. I went back to F13 and the new patch made the game a whole lot more enjoy.

    Simply waiting for PREDATORS:HUNTING GROUNDS.

When the devs truely balances out this poor excuse of game i will happily come back to it. It;s a shame i can't get back my money for all the DLC and skins i bought.

3 Changes which killed this game of for me.

    1. Reducing the Field of View of the survivors..Not Cool.
    2. Secretly increasing the turning sensitivity for the killers on Console but not the Survivors. I tested both with videos i recorded from both points of views. These were not in the patch noted btw.
    3. ENDGAME COLLAPSE rewarding the killers with free kills. IMO once the timer ends the game should simple end with the survivors not getting any Escape Blood Points and the killers not getting free kills.

but hey what do i know? im just a self entitled survivor main whose really good at loop killers and saving my teammates.

Delete this ######### and come back to Friday, you ll be glad you did.

    Lol. F13 is trash.

It is on console as well, the only difference is that there's no textbox for console reports (and also no chats to log).

Where do you send video? I feel like I hit the report button and then there really isn't anything else to do so it feels worthless.

  • Yeah. Best you can hope for most times is they somehow 3 gen themselves. Even then though with basement gens and 2nd floor gens it's pretty difficult to put much pressure. Throw in BL and then it's even more difficult.

I love how everything thinks it's some super awesome strategy to never cleanse against Plague, yet apparently Myer's infinite EW3 addon is apparently super powerful. All the survivors going down in one hit for the rest of the game is the same end goal, except it's easier to get everybody broken and doesn't require an ultra rare addon.

Exactly. When I play plague I'm more than happy to 1hit down people everyone. Good times.

  • Without watching the video, I'm assumimg it's Tyde. Am I right?

  • Tempting as it is, I won't use Wake Up until they fix it.

  • I didn't even notice it. But if people hate it so much I'm glad they're removing it.

  • @Tsulan said:

@Dehitay things that give WGLF stacks:

    - safe unhooks

    - getting hit next to a injured survivor

    - getting hit while blocking the killer with a survivor on his shoulder

    - flashlight saves

    - pallet saves

    Things that give BBQ stacks:

    - hooking a survivor for the first time

    End of list.

There are way more possibilities to get WGLF stacks.

There is also way more competetion to get those stacks. Getting hit next to a survivor rarely gives you a stack. Also not all hits while a survivor are getting carried work. Now if this list contained code that worked all the time, then maybe you'd have a point. But protection stacks have always been hit or miss (more miss than anything).

Not hard to hook four survivors. Btw.

  • Yeah. No way is it easier to get wglf stacks than bbq. And I'm a very altruistic survivor and average killer.

  • They've definitely been safe unhooks.

    I'm hoping it's a visual bug.

  • Just have to go m1 kill, don't use the stalk at all. That's how I got it.

But to your point, you're right. At least lower the threshold from merciless to ruthless.

  • You guys ever heard of borrowed time?

And someone is much better off getting tunneled than hitting phase 2 or dying just because a killer is camping.

  • Are these offerings only good the next couple of days?

  • As a killer I message the survivors "farm bps or normal match". If they want a normal match I don't use my streamers.

As a survivor I'd only use bps if I got a message asking to farm. I haven't gotten any farm matches this weekend as a survivor. I just use throwaways (luck/mist) and map offerings. That way I can DC in the loading screen if I see a black ward or mori offering.

  • I just ran empy and we'll make it. Got it a little longer than I thought I would because playing altruistic is my strong suit, but not hard to get. I wish PS4 would incorporate a progress bar for their trophies.

Slugging isn't holding the game hostage. You're gonna die, the game is gonna end.

It's just annoying and wastes your time.

It is holding the game hostage temporarily. You're basically either just going to sit there bored and annoyed for the 4 minutes or how ever long it is to bleed out. Does that sound like fun?

  • Both sides are just as toxic. There are 4 times as many survivors as killers. Killers DC, killers can hold the game hostage (down a survivor and stand over them until they bleed out), do things like nod, swing at the hooked survivor (i chuckle at these, but just as toxic as bagging), they can close the hatch and force the survivor to run out the timer (more points for me, but still a time waster). Killers message survivors post match as well.

I had a Billy spawn face to face with me. He instadowned me and face camped. Then messaged me after. The amount of DC'ing killers do just as survivors are about to run out of the gate is annoying. Almost a nightly occurrence.

Again, you can definitely come up with a list just as long for survivors as well, but I have to chuckle whem players say killers aren't as toxic.

  • Lol. Sure, go ask Jason over at F13. Such respect with dance emotes and what not.

  • @Shad03 said:

If this was horror movie logic in DbD, then there will always be one survivor.

@Redd This may be just a game but it is a game where the killer should be feared (I'm not saying they should be the gods of death), yet being t-bagged signifies they are a absolute joke.

Killers get tea-bagged in all video games because you can't have real fear over a digital killer. This has nothing to do with killers being too weak.
