Interesting idea, it overlaps with Blood Warden though.
-
Kinda weird to say "Even Otz..." the man helped the community brainstorm a whole list of tweaks for perks and addons and Undying was among them.
-
I had a bug once where Demo's mori removed Nea's hair....that was pretty horrifying.
-
This is just a summary of the game, what gives?
-
We kinda do with Dead Dawg, it's dawn/dusk but the sun IS out.
-
The fastest survivor is whichever one leaves me to struggle on hook while running off to self care in a corner 😂
-
Blonde
-
Deliverance is always high risk / high reward. If you get hooked first, you can't use it. If you get hooked during EGC, you can't use it. It is still possible to use Deliverance vs a PH, as long as you aren't tormented, it's just more difficult.
-
I don't think Dead Hard is as powerful as you described it, since it only works once every 40 seconds and doesn't work against traps behind windows or dropped pallets. It might be a problem if a teammate was running Vigil, but no one ever runs Vigil.

I can think of a few possibilities.
This could simply be a case of the devs being anachronistic (which they are no stranger to, as they called Huntress's home "Red Forest," but it only gained that name after the Chernobyl Incident, well after either World War).
It's also possible that they didn't realize this and just put it in as a cool design, especially since Talbot wasn't fully fleshed out then, so his time period was still up in the air.
From a lorewise perspective, time isn't fluid in the Entity's realm, so he could have possibly learned it from another Survivor and put it on the tag afterwards.
I would like to offer another possibility, which is that Talbot invented/discovered it in his quest for knowledge, but his findings were lost to time until 1928

Huh? People definitely do. Maybe some are being pragmatic about it due to licensing and F13 and Trapper existing but it would still be cool to have him.

An obsession means a couple of things.
First off, nearly (though not all) obsession perks come with a benefit and a hindrance. This makes you seriously consider whether or not you can work to the strength of the obsession perk and overcome its weakness. A few don't have this weakness, and are considered powerful perks as a result.
Secondly, there are only a handful of obsession perks in the game. If you see that a Survivor is an obsession, this tells you that an obsession perk is in play. Depending on which role you are currently playing, it makes you consider what you are up against.
Third, most obsession perks (though not all) have a sort of build up. They get stronger as the conditions of the perk are met. Survivors need to be mindful of this and avoid feeding the Killer tokens to that perk. Killers need to be mindful to avoid breaking the perks conditionals in order to keep the buffs that perk gives.
For the most part, obsession perks demand a modification of playstyle, but reward the player for adhering to those modifications. It's a neat idea, though not always ideal depending on the Killer and player.
Or it's Decisive Strike, where this is no downside and you can do whatever you want for 60 seconds after getting unhooked. No downside there, but plenty of power.
The downside to DS is that I personally am very bad at hitting it and miss about half the time.

It looks like the new killer is pretty short, so that's cool.
-
It would be cool to see Daniel from Amnesia, though I'm not sure who the killer would be. The most visually iconic enemy are the Suitors from Amnesia: Justine.
-
3 Gen - Refers to a situation where the last 3 generators are situated fairly close together, which is advantageous for the killer. Occasionally you will see the more rare 4 gen variant.

Who is that guy on the far right with 56.21%?

the codes are limited for each one to 10, the fog whisperers have a butt-ton of them to give out. they are not sellable because when they display them people don't grab it and hold on to it they enter it... these are as exclusive as the rift cosmetics and charms are. they have said they will release them atleast 6 months or more after in the store. These are not exclusives like golden feng that was grabbed up by people at a convention and held on to because they had unique codes and then sold for real life money. that was a true exclusive at the time that made people money. I'm sorry you don't like it but how else are you to do it? I don't see any solid ideas on how to do it.
Give you a hint: they've handed them out at conventions, people complain. they've hidden them as easter eggs and people complained (web page easter eggs) then they hand them out on the forums and people complain. now they put it to where people are most likely to be (there are more people that watch dbd than play it so they give it to the fog whisperers to distribute to their communities (same item not special to the streamer) and as always people complain. I mean what do you want? something free for no work on your part? wow.... you got that... all those exclusives that ps4/xbox never had as they were steam codes? they are everyone's that logs in at all! come on put forth a modicum of effort.
As things are now, it's just a game of 'who has the fastest pc/internet/typing skills'. If it were random, like some kind of lottery system for people in the stream who typed a certain keyword, everyone would have an equal chance. Right now, console players, people with bad connections, people with dyslexia/dyscalcula etc., are at a disadvantage.
-
It's been acknowledged in the bug report forums, but unfortunately that doesn't mean it'll be fixed any time soon.
-
no Jeff is the survivor 😋
-
I think it's just because you used Devour and it worked.
-
I've been wanting an underwater map, and Fort Frolic is my favorite area from Bioshock. Not sure about Elizabeth as a survivor, considering her in-game powers seem like they would straight up counter the Entitiy, but it could be cool.
-
Congrats! It's a tough one to get, and some survivors will DC out of spite when they figure out what you're doing.
-
If you see OoO early on as Myers, you at least have the option to stay in T1 at least. If you see it on most other killers there's nothing you can do about it.
-
I play about 50/50 Survivor and Killer, though my first 50-100 hours were all on Survivor. A lot of what you're describing as boring seems to come from being too good at the game. If I manage to loop a killer so well they leave me, I feel amazing, because it so rarely happens. Heck, if I survive the trial I feel pretty good. So while your suggestions are interesting, it's important to keep in mind that new/returning players might have trouble with things like more objectives being dropped in their laps.
I like the idea of an item that hides scratch marks though.
-
Kindred and Spine Chill. I always SoloQ so I like to have that information.
For killer there's no single perk that works on everyone because their powers are so different, but I try to always bring at least one gen slowdown perk, usually Ruin or Pop.
-
Survivors with DS immediately jumping in lockers, meaning you either have to leave and give them a free minute on gens, wait outside the locker and give their teammates a free minute on gens, or eat the DS and get teabagged.
-
Honorable mention to some that didn't make the list:
Item of Obsession, which requires you to 1. escape last, 2. without being hit, 3. as the obsession.
Not Today, which (on PC at least) requires 50 self-unhooks.
-
The only time I think a survivor should automatically go from Dying to Dead is if they are the last one in the trial and the hatch is closed. Even then, I'd prefer just speeding up the bleedout timer. If the issue is with gens going too quickly, I don't think OP's idea is a good solution.

Also you may want to consider asking if it’s worth two perk slots for a harder to get rid of Blindness effect. Blindness isn’t bad so the answer might be Yes? But then again Blindness maybe isn’t great compared to other things you could maybe put in that perk slot instead.
I’m kind of neutral I guess on this, I use Third Seal sometimes and it’s ok but I’m not sure I’d use it over other perks I like a bit better?
I was thinking it would be useful because it still reveals the survivor's aura when they're looking at you, and if you run it with a third hex perk you're still getting your money's worth out of Undying, although it's a high risk build for sure.
-
@Boss said:
It gives them Blindness, so it does cancel it out.
The Third Seal is a Token-based Hex Perk though, and it'll lose them all upon being cleansed.
Hitting them again is no problem, but it means OoO won't be cancelled out permanently from the first hit.
Ohh ok, I never use it so I forgot about the tokens.

No reason, they just wanted to have Hag be played for a challenge.
Same thing for needing to play Kate for Dwight's lore.
I'm still mad about this. I'm not buying Kate to get Dwight's lore. Especially after buying her teachables for earlier challenges.
For anyone who's interested but doesn't want to spend the money, all the entries are available on the gamepedia.

Survivors who teabag. Especially if they didn't do that well but managed to get one pallet stun.
-
I wish they hadn't done this, but it doesn't seem like there's anything we can do about it.

Well, Botany and a green med-kit can be very fast but... still I don't think it's going to be faster than a weapon cooldown.
Yeah especially 3 times, even with duration addons you would run out too fast.
-
I think most games with a competitive mode do this. Some even have rank decay where you have to play a certain amount/win a certain amount to maintain your rank. It's not dirty or unfair.
-
@Orion said:
You guys do know you don't have to do the rifts, right?
I mean....I don't have to play the game at all. I play because it's fun. I liked doing the rifts because they were fun.
Plus, though I personally don't spend AC up front, I'm sure a lot of people do, and feel obligated to finish it for that reason.
-
Does Among Us count as asymmetrical horror...?
-
I'm feeling a similar way. Been getting a lot of rubberbanding in games, to the point where normally I would take a few days to a week off and hope it gets fixed, but instead I'm forcing myself into unfun, bugged games because there's only 5 days left to get those last 5 tiers.
-
If you watch Otz's 50 win streak on PH he shows some good perks that help you know when to cage and when to hook.

I'm not an expert on Freddy, but if they're a solo player or SWF not on comms, I'd suggest you drop chase when they're asleep and focus down the other survivors.
-
Like Bumbus said, I think it's just the mori animation is a little smoother now, and there's blood splatters.
-
I've gotten this one without trying before, but of course as soon as it's a challenge I couldn't get it lol. Finally gave in and ran Myers with Ivory mori.
-
It's likely a callback to 'death is not an escape,' since the Entity just brings you back when you die.

You want four survivors every chapter? I think we should focus on perks and story instead of pandering to ethnicities. I'm glad the diversity we've gotten so far hasn't been forced.
Pandering to ethnicities? It sounds more like OP wants these things for ahem personal reasons, if you get my meaning.

I didn't watch the video. No real need to. We all know DCs are a problem. Mainly because they disabled the penalty again. I assume hes good if he isnt relying on this perks but unfortunately he makes up a minute fraction of Legion players.
I'm just saying it doesn't benefit anyone to DC as soon as they see it's a Legion, without at least playing for a bit to see if it's a good Legion.
-
@gibblywibblywoo said:
Being completely honest? Me. If I'm solo and get a Legion with a meta legion build I know the game will last upwards of 20 minutes and end with my teamamtes probably just killing themself on hook. I absolutely hate playing against Spirit/Slinger/PH but I don't DC against them because at least the match wont be just sitting on gens/healing for 20 minutes.
Legions weak but if your solo team has a weak link that doesn't immediately make tracks and waits for him to get close in his frenzy instead of running the second they hear the heartbeat its over. He can absolutely stomp you with the right slowdown perks and 1-2 crappy players. It's incredibly boring and a waste of my leisure time.
There's nothing fun about filling bars with the occasional skill check as survivor. It's boring. I'm fine with a little slowdown to give the killer the breathing room they need but when it reaches into absurd territory. For example, a forever freddy or thana/sloppy/ruin/undying legion on wreckers yard I'm just gonna dip and either play killer or play another game.
Slowdown builds are required against good swf but against solo they are absolutely unnecessary and make the game incredibly dull. I went against 4 forever freddys the other day in a row. All different players. All solo teams. I decided to play Mordhau and CK3 for the rest of the day instead.
Understandable, but OP is running the least meta perks I can think of. Furtive Chase and Nemesis? That's an obsession roulette build.

With the MacMillan map reworks, there seem to be screens/monitors in one of the maps. Do you think this means Trapper is from a later time period, or the version of the map we're seeing is from a later point in time?
-
I would prefer Figmas or some other high end figurines instead of Funkos, personally.
