The thought of a killer stopping to let a survivor collect something mid chase only for the chase to reignite 😅
It happened to me during 4th anniversary, a Ghostface let me get the crown. 😄
-
This bug isn't new, the update is not 'getting' worse, it's the same level of bad and will continue to be until a hotfix comes out.

Am I the only one who finds it kinda nifty to come across the red glyphs randomly during matches, so I'm just not going to complete the challenge so I can keep it as an option forever?
I did the same thing with one of the pustula plant challenges. I wish those would show up in killer matches like the red glyph does.
I always find them mid-chase because that's when I'm running around the map the most 😂 Killers never let me stop and grab them
-
They would love to do so, but there are issues with licensing, plus there is another similar horror game featuring Jason.
-
OP, do you have crossplay turned on? I get a bunch of different killers.
-
Was disappointed to see that there was at least one game-breaking bug on the PTB that went through to the live (spectator soft lock).

It could be. Do you think you can reproduce it in a custom game?
I don't think so. It only happened in one match out of maybe 10 so I'm not sure the circumstances needed to reproduce it.
-
I was spectating the last survivor the other day and he was opening the gate, got about halfway through and then suddenly went down out of nowhere. The killer was Deathslinger so I don't think that's supposed to happen. Not sure if it's related to this patch or not, though.

Almost 5 years and survivors stopped giving a ######### about the killer.
i think survivors like David should stand up straight by guys like Dwight should hunch down. It just makes sense.
-
Thank you for making this. Just finished a trial on Dead Dawg and I did not see a single red glyph, guess I was just looking in the wrong spots.
-
On Steam, it says you need to do this on the Asylum map. Not sure if it's the same for all platforms, but was that the map you were on?
-
Devs love breakable walls for whatever reason.
-
It wasn't in the PTB so I'm not surprised it's not in the patch. Not sure when it will be....

Hi, DDDD. If you know what AFK deranking is, I believe you're exaggerating your lack of knowledge. If you were that new you wouldn't even care about ranks let alone deranking.
This said, I agree there are some killers or perks which need a lot of practice. For instance, I am good friends with a Demogorgon killer who was having a ton of issues hitting with the lunge attack. So I bought the game mostly so I could be a survivor for her in a custom match so she could practice the attack. This worked tremendously well for her, and getting the chance to chase a zig zaggy survivor (me) for an hour made her an expert at the attack. And in the process I decided I like the game and play it as well.
But not all killers have very difficult attacks to master. For instance, I played doctor for lots and lots of matches without putting points into him. He was level 1 with only one perk (the generator overcharge one), and he is easy to play well enough to have fun. He's got an area attack (non-damaging but increases insanity level), a range attack (non-damaging but increases insanity level), and a swipe. That's enough to have fun without needing to find a friend spending an hour in a custom match for you to test special attacks.
There are a few things about survivor you probably won't learn without talking to other people or reading. For instance, depending on the killer, they may see you easily when you run. Some killers may see you when you heal near them. Crows gather above your head if you stay in a place too long, and there are killers who can see any survivors who disturb crows. But this kind of knowledge doesn't need a custom match. It needs talking and/or reading.
Don't worry about not being able to enter a custom match alone. Just start with stuff which doesn't need a custom match for practice.
Anyone who has played a multiplayer ranked game knows what deranking is.
@DDDD I know it's hard starting out, some things are the same on the maps every time but most things always change. The wiki can help you figure out some of that stuff, but I believe there's a Looking for Group forum on here you can use if you want to explore in a custom match.

How do you counter that? You just constantly stuck in the dreamworld and thus almost guaranteed to lose?
I believe only the obsession is permanently asleep, as stated above me in the thread. So if someone uses a perk to change the obsession (Decisive Strike, Deliverance, For the People), you should be able to wake up.
-
Yes it's been happening to a lot of people, check the bug report forum.
-
I really feel the PTB should have been longer and things should have been workshopped before being released to live.
-
That's the result of his addons. There should be a red icon somewhere on the HUD (not sure where since the UI update) letting you know when this is in effect.
-
Better teammates. 🙄
-
This happened to me as well. I went from Rank 4 to Rank 5 as Killer which is frustrating. I am also playing on PC (steam).
-
It hides hooks nearby so I guess it would be useful if there's a hook behind a wall and no other ones nearby?
-
I would love to see Pinhead, another amazing character imagined by Clive Barker. Also to answer your question, yes people have thought about Candyman, he's definitely in the list of potential killers that's been suggested.
-
Kindred is a must when I'm playing survivor. I also like running Stake Out because I am bad at hitting great skill checks.
As killer, STBFL is great against overly-altruistic survivors. I also run Discordance on most killers for early pressure.
-
This sounds like it's in response to Haunted Ground or T3 Myers. If you are constantly getting slugged and 4k'd then my suggestion is working around the time limit as best you can. Don't spend that time healing, and try not to group up too much.
-
Some people say it is a crutch perk that makes it harder to learn to blink as Nurse. Not sure if this is true because I always run it because I am a bad Nurse.
-
No Mither shouldn't leave blood orbs for Oni
-
You will not have to hear his voice for a little bit, so there's that.
-
I watch Otzdarva for his entertaining streams and general killer advice. If I need help learning a specific killer I will watch streams by someone who mains them Scorpionz for Pig, Drey for Doc, Ryuga for Legion, etc.)
-
I am learning to play Pig and she's difficult to master, plus her starting perks don't do much for her. I don't think she needs a nerf but I do think her addons need a rework.
-
Huntress but only if you're playing a female survivor.

Odd, I was able to get it just a few hours ago...

Ingroup-outgroup bias is inherent to humans as a species and each of us has to make a concentrated effort to see both sides. Unfortunately, gaming forums tend to bring out the worst in people. Sometimes it's best to just take a break for a while and look at a cool bird.
-
I am currently trying to get better at Pig, and she definitely needs some changes, but I don't think adding more boxes is really the way to go.
-
iirc, matchmaking currently matches you based on the highest rank in your party. Unfortunately, matchmaking is so broken that red ranks go against yellow ranks anyway.
-
But how will I get free clicks on my topic that's been rehashed a thousand times?
-
There is a question in the latest survey about which characters you would like more skins for, I'm sure if enough people ask for it they will listen.
-
I thought it was just me, but I'm seeing streamers getting it too, it seems something is going on with matchmaking right now.
-
Wish I knew how big the scratch marks are when you run. I started out as a survivor main and couldn't figure out how the killer kept finding me.
-
There are also conflicts between the Legion's cinematic in Tome III and the character backstory itself, which differs on how the murder of the janitor went down. You could chalk it up to variance between universes, or just lack of fact checking on the part of the writers.
-
It's just an okay perk on its own, at best the survivors make bad plays trying to go back for their hallowed blight lunchbox, at worst they drop their key in a safe spot to come back for it later. I've seen it paired with Hoarder for some fun meme builds though.

I love the “i only play solo argument”... you know there are so many ways to look for groups right? Not an excuse
You don't need an excuse for not playing SWF. If the devs wanted everyone to play SWF, they would incorporate voice chat into the game.
Besides, not all of us have friends. :(
-
Never faced a killer like this. Sometimes a killer will complain when you tbag and point, but I think that's fair.
-
The good news is, you don't have to use it if you don't want to, you will still have the faster reload.
-
Depends on what you consider winning. With short chases and 9 hooks you should get at least Ruthless Killer.
-
Trapper main, not the biggest change, but one we've been asking for.
-
I'm pretty hype to run Undying + Third Seal now
-
NOED + PWYF + Antidote to really zoom around as clown
-
Used to use it when I first joined, then promptly forgot about it until this thread.

it would, but it would mean the killer have 2 perks for the whole game
I mean people would not run both because they have a similar purpose. Why bother with Blood Warden if you could just run this? Or why run this when you could run Blood Warden and a hex perk like NOED?
