yeah...?

Tier list are pointless in DbD because killer isn't the power role.
-
Just don't play. You don't need the Game to tell you to play it, you either want or don't want. If things go south then stop your play session, do something else. I had the exact same thing happening to me, 5 Cake game and dumbasses just gen rushed me to the point i had Tinkerer going off in 3 different gens when i was at 2 hooks. I asked them why do they do that if there's 5 cakes in the match? They answered bro you're playing Ghostface, you're gonna get genrushed, i wouldn't if you weren't gen rushing but sure now it's my killer choice that's the problem.... I guess they were happy with measily 100k points when we could all get 250k plus if they just let me play too. It's the same thing as Gen Rushing on PTB's... why? You don't get anything from PTB's why are you ending the matches ASAP?
I can only conclude people don't like playing DbD that long, they want quick EZ wins and that's it. Thank God i used Steams Summer Sale to get some games i can use my time on cause playing DbD is just frustrating no matter how manny chances i give the game.

Youre calling nemesis crap?
X
Yes i am.
-
A crap killer like the last 3.
-
Most definetly should not be made basek kit for killers. It's a DLC Perk but besides that no current Perk should be made base kit. Maps is what needs to be adjusted so that Spawns are fixed so killers don't have to use Corrupt as much. As is there's killers who don't benefit from Corrupt and there's times where Corrupt just won't be on the gens you'd like it to be because of Map size and Spawns.
-
He doesn't need more Zombies, he needs a complete redesign and a proper killer power that isn't a mix of old killers.

That's what you do anyway sweetie you're saying it like you're doing those things for perk? What u named is whole killer purpose and ur main objective that rewards you with perk that give you advantage just like dead hard
Yes and shouldn't a killer be rewarded for doing their objective, it takes time while Dead Hard is rewarding you for getting hit. You don't have to do anything to get Dead Hard available, stand there and get hit, now use Dead Hard. If you had picked Old Ruin as a Vs to Dead Hard then i'd agree with you but you picked Pop out of all Perks. Hell you could even pick Tinkerer or Discordance but you picked Pop..
-
@justbecause said:
According to them it gives survivor not earned and unfair distance by just pressing e
However they absolutely love pop which gives them unfair and not earned advantage by just pressing m1
There you go
Finding, chasing and hooking then going to a gen? Pop is not a free perk... Go play some killer.
-
I just don't like having a winning Chase denied by a Perk. You can counter Ruin and not have your Gen regress so you countered my Perk but i'll have to deal with your Dead Hard all match. Dead Hard requires the killer doing their job, you can get hit for Free and then have a Massive Help to deny the killer alot of chase time by either avoiding a second hit and prolonging chase or Dead Harding for Distance and prolong the chase much further.
Then there's latency issues, i hate facing Console players when i play killer, either PC or Console killer, because Console Dead Hard has always been weird looking and has delay. It's like they escape at the exact milisecond you're supposed to hit them or Survivor is exhausted on the ground, it's inconsistant, BHVR needs to find a solution, it's called Console Optimization but it's nowhere to be found over the last 3 years.
-
All Seeing is good but you're still up against SpineChill, individual Survivor skill, Map RNG and your sound and visual cues as Wraith so the best thing about All Seeing is Survivors won't know you have it for longer than if you use some other add-on. Silent Bell will work mostly on indoor maps, on outdoor Maps you will have to aproach the survivors without being seen before you make use of the Silent Bell add-on so if you're already doing that then what exactly did the Silent Bell do? You'd get the same result with the Bone Clapper, there'd be a sound but no discernable direction or range, so in fact you're getting more value cause you possibly scared someone else, the trade off is they know who the killer is already and what add-on you have. Silent Bell only works if they don't know you're coming.
All Seeing will help with Pallet Campers but Silent Bell won't help in most loops. When you cloack you cut the chase so a Survivor knows wether or not if you're going to try to hit them at a pallet and will know if you have Silent Bell or not so camping Pallets against Wraith is dumb but it's a mistake less skilled Survivors make cause they think Pallets equal guaranteed safety and when they guess wrong or don't react in time they think Wraith is strong when it's not true, camping Pallets just isn't smart unless you know the loop you're in and you know you can react to Wraith's uncloack Lunge by either having visibility in the loop, wich makes any and all add-ons useless or by guessing.
In short, All Seeing is good but you might not always be able to capitalize on that information and Silent Bell only works sometimes when you play it right. I'd rather use Swift Hunt or Bone Clapper over the Coxcombed Clapper
-
Sluzzy using Distortion and Self Care against All seeing Wraith, get rekt!
-
He got stronger in the loops he was already strong at but is now weaker where he was already weak...BHVR adjustments alright. Hitting 8 or 6 Blades is virtually the same if you're hitting in succession so there's no benefit for skillfull players, they'd hit the 8 blades anyway, and if you're in a loop, it saves you 1 corner... IF you don't hit tho Survivors are now recovering much faster, not only Decay kics in sooner it also Decays faster. I would not call this a Buff at all.
-
I've gotten a few grabs lately, finally managed to use Ghostface's stealth , hadn't happened since Dedicated Servers...
-
The matchmaking during events always gets this "special", consider it as Christmas Noobs when that was a thing in older Call of Duty games.
Since MMR was turned off i havent won a single match, i barely got hooks and getting 1 kill was a real struggle, i havent left rank 5 since rank reset after the MMR test, i feel like i'm playing as if MMR was on in every match as killer, everytime i check survivor profiles i always encounter a DUO, not full squads but 2 players in an SWF is already a big plus, i've only seen a handful of people who have the same experience as me, a couple here on Forum and the rest were all smaller streamers.
Now during the event i'm having "normal" matches with rainbow ranks. I'm finally able to get hooks before losing 2 gens, i'm finally able to turn matches around when i have less of a Map to worry about and i am getting my kills.
All this to say that Matchmaking is the cause of this, we're all facing more experience and less experienced players in a gigantic mix, thanks to alot of people coming back to the game because of the event and new players because of the RE chapter.
Just a few minutes ago i had match in Coal Tower where i had all 4 Survivors in the same place, Cheryl on hook, David and Yui both injured but around the hook and the 4th guy was healthy but doing a gen, the David and Yui didn't bodyblock for each other so it was up to the 4th guy to come Rescue Cheryl, and the 4th guy does aproach but then leaves without even trying and he had never been hooked, meaning he was on 1st hook and didn't even try. Result? Nobody tried and Cheryl died. Fast forward to end game chat i get called Camper, not by the Cheryl mind you, but the others... 3 guys don't attempt to rescue and i'm the Camper? If you're all around the hook but do nothing then yes i'm gonna sit there.
i understand how for SoloQ this is a somewhat difficult situation, not really tho, the 4th guy should definetly trade the hook, especially considering it would be his 1st, or at least finish the gen but in this case neither things happened. I played like i had to as killer, Ghostface btw. I didn't camp any of them aside from this moment i'm telling you about, i had BBQ, Enduring, Corrupt Intervention and Tinkerer so i could see where people were and go after them in stealth and if seen then a Tinkerer proc would help me out with more stealth to either get a down if i was mid chase or know where to go to prevent a gen, so i wasn't camping. They completed 4 gens still 2 people died on 3rd hook, David and Yui, Cheryl died on 2nd and the 4th guy who did no rescues die on 1st hook at the end...If that 4th guy had traded hooks, David and Yui could have healed, done a gen and i'd be in a 3v1 scenario at the end instead. I won because Survivors were not playing the right way.

More people playing. Non regulars or returning payers, hence the ranks.

The thing is. He IS A-Tier...In chase and that's what people were going off of. But even since the PTB. People were saying the speed boost just from infection is rediculous. And it is. And that's really all the changes he needs
It's not the only change, he suffers as much as any other M1 killer. He isn't A tier in any aspect of his design, all his design ideas are reused from other killers and those killers do a better job with those ideas than Nemesis does because they were designed for those ideas instead of jsut having a bunch of them mixed in 1 killer. He is a poorly designed killer.
-
Ofc it's worse, BHVR made an update on the update, if the first didn't fix it then the second will cause more issues. BHVR's Competence at show.
-
What happened to Nemesis being A tier? He is crap now? Ah the Wonders of New Content... That's what happens when PTB's come around and only a handful of people can play it. It's not even the performance issues, he just isn't a good killer to begin with. Now that the Novelty effect has worn off people realise he isn't viable.

The point I'm making about Fog Whisperers is just one way of illustrating how the devs have done things for PC people that they neglected to do for console players for what, literally years?
What have they done for PC because of Fog Whisperers? Comestics? Charms? Charms won't make your Console Experience better...

That depends on your hardware , my pc runs it in ultra just fine I don't have any issue but when I tried to hop on PS4 it was just a ######### show I agree with some of the above comments that they don't even test console before they release it they just assume its gonna be ok
That's proves your hardware is vastly superior to the software but it doesn't negate that the software is still problematic. That's my argument as to why PC DbD is stable but not optimized either. How manny people do you know that use Low or Mid instead just because they are prioritizing and preventing performance issues or just because those lower settings offer a graphical advantage because there's less effects? The graphical presets don't help all players, playing and streaming on Ultra requires potent hardware because the software is that bad. So Yes console is a shitshow because the hardware is much more limited hence it can't just overpower the software, same applies to XbX and PS5, better than previous Gen but still having issues cause they are naturally limited on Hardware and the game itself offers no options to minimize the problems. I'm not denying Console issues, i'm saying everything needs to be better. Yes PC is less impacted but still impacted, think about Cross-play, how playing PC killer vs Console Survivor feels, it's awful for Console Survivors but doesn't mean it's any better for PC killers and the same applies to Pc Survs vs Console Killer. The Game, without platform reasoning, needs a better foundation, needs more optimization and needs to give players basic options.

You just said PC isn't any better, and then you said it isn't much better, and said it's more stable. I'm not angry at PC players, but the devs absolutely treat them better than console players, and they always have. You said yourself it's more stable. So, there's that. There's also the fact that the PTB is only for PC. I guess their feedback is all that matters? How about the official Fog Whisperers? For how long did they only do give aways to PC players? I'm pretty sure when the Silent Hill Chapter came out, you could only get the secret charm on PC, which is ######### ironic because wasn't the game originally on console only? I don't even know if that eventually got fixed. It's a joke that you think PC has a problem with lack of optimization compared to console.
The game just runs but the issues are there, i play both since 2018, all the issues Console has Pc also has, it's the same moldy spaghetti monster of a game in both platforms, it's just a matter of hardware not software, the software is the same #########, it's a moldy spaghetti mosnter of a game. I understand my wording wasn't the best and that's my bad but it's the same as playing on PS4 vs PS5, the issues are still there, the PS5 just runs a bit better doesn't mean PS5 DbD is fine cause it's not. Same with PC, PC runs a bit better but the issues are all there still. The game is the same broken mess for everyone, just cause you can run it doesn't mean it's better. Think of this as a diseased patient being on the brink of death to recovering to a stable condition, they are still affected by the disease, doesn't mean the patient is any better and won't die, the risk of death is there. Same thing with Console DbD vs PC DbD, it's still the same disease, PC is just the somewhat stable condition and Console is the disease in full effect.
FEEDBACK DOESN'T MATTER, never has and never will, there's 5 years of proof, go search it. PTB's don't matter, they are just short early access previews for HYPE purposes, what did BHVR change from Twins PTB to live? what did they change from Tricksters PTB to live? They have no time to make meaningfull changes from PTB to live, that's why Mid-Chapter updates exist. They need the extra time before the Content is finished. They purposefully release unfinished content, go search for details on the 4 previous Chapters.
Who cares about Fog Whisperers? They are ignored, BHVR only listens to Casual players cause those are the ones that won't know about how messy the game is, they just throw money at BHVR on chapters and skins and that's it, they won't play enough to care about the game's health, they jsut want a quick match to detress from work or whatever. They'll shrug off any performance problems or lack of bare bones functions cause they are Casual DbD players.

You can say that about any game. Established players aren’t going to keep the money coming in like new players will. Most games cater to new players and casuals sadly and I really hate to see it. Established players should be much more rewarded, but that’s not where the money is so game developers don’t give two hoots.
So you're agreeing with me about how there's no way anyone should be excited for the event, even new players cause before the event we are dealing with the usual DbD and BHVR shenanigans. That's my point, there's no way anyone should be excited about the event, not veterans and not new players, new players can't even play what they just payed for... We're all getting scammed.

I never played the OG event and as a new player, I need those blood points just to get a stable perk line up. Or just level the killers I use. I would prefer they fix the performance, but I will settle with an event while I wait.
You're a new player, that's exactly what BHVR wants, people who will ultimatly need and enjoy the event regardless of everything else. This situation excuses the fact that the event is copy paste. I'm not saying it's your fault for being a new player but you can't expect everyone else to excuse BHVR for just copy and pasting something. If you decide to stick around for next yera then you'll see what alot of people are saying it's true, then you realize that players who are already here don't matter, only new comers matter cause new comers means more Money, they'll feel inclined to buy things without knowing that they are being scammed cause the prices of things are super high and since they are new comers they won't know all the issues that plague the game but BHVR doesn't care as long as you are new comer spending money willy-nilly.

I don't think anyone's making this an us vs them situation. The difference with consoles is compared to PC is you don't get to act surprised when these issues come up due to all consoles being the same, the hardware specs are the same and to play online they have to all be running the exact same OS version, its the only advantage of developing for console over PC.
If they roll out a patch for PC and it tanks the game you have to give the benefit of doubt because there's only so many different hardware set ups you can expect them to QnA the game on.
It's been 5 years you can't keep giving them the benefit of the doubt, plus the PC version also has the issues, so they don't know how to develop to PC aswell. In 2019 Console performance promisses were made by BHVR and they've never been met and right now Console Performance is at an all time low... It's not about being hard it's about BHVR not doing their job. They already got the Money from the Chapter, they already got new players spending money without those players knowing how broken mess of a game it is before and after the Chapter.

The cakes are just a band aid Fix to the BP Economy, it doesn't adress the issue at all. I'd rather get rid of the issue than rely on something that happens once a year if it gets to happen this year...

It's incredibly frustrating. Reading your take makes it even more obvious that this was just negligence. I know (I assume since I get almost all PC players in my lobbies) that this game is more popular on PC but I'm getting tired of this game so blatantly treating its console players like the red headed step child.
PC doesn't fair any better either, this isn't a PC vs Console thing. THe game isn't that much better on PC, it's more stable yes but the same issues are still there, lack of optimization, lack of graphical options, lack of everything same as on console. same bugs same exploits. This is a BHVR being bad at their job Thing.
-
How can anyone be excited for a copy paste event in this BP economy and performance state? Being excited for an event in these conditions is why BHVR has been winning for 5 years...
-
I wouldn't say they favor PC, i'd say they have no clue how to make a console game instead. PC has better performance and that's it, it has all the same problems otherwise, lack of graphical options, lack of Balance, etc, etc. Most people don't even use Medium High or Ultra settings either, they use Low settings cause the game isn't optimized for PC either. This isn't a PC vs Console thing, this is a BHVR not doing their job and sucking at doing their job thing.

Ps5 and Series X runs perfectly fine and smooth for me so I'm guessing it's either a case by case basis or last gen consoles. BHVR was a little too optimistic as to how consoles could handle all the upgraded things they have been trying to do.

I doubt they would ever do this since the costs for a couple of weeks ptb to sony and microsoft would dent their wallets.

Yes, we need to make this Public. A 9/10 from a BOUGHT IGN Review is not the truth about DbD, not even on PC is it a 9/10 let alone on any other platform. All BHVR cares about is Money from New players, they don't give credit to the people that actually made DbD a viable source of income for them, they don't care about the players that during 5 years expose the game to all corners of the world. BHVR wasn't ready for DbD to grow, the proof to this is the state of the game right now, the lack of basic option settings, the lack of optimization, etc. All BHVR wants is New Players, because New Players = More Money, More Profit Margin. Doesn't matter if they play for a long time, it matters that they buy the game. DbD is self published, there's 0 accountability on all Non Licensed Content and apparently the Licensed Content owners don't care much either given how we have no word from Capcom on this COLOSSAL FIASCO.Maybe Capcom doesn't give a rats ass about DbD and just took the money and free exposure for their characters. Maybe that's why it took a lot of time to change Freddy, to change Bubba, why Ghostface and Myers haven't had Updates in Years, BHVR doesn't care they already made their Money from the License and the License Holders couldn't care else either, because they also got Money. Everyone is getting Money while we HAVE AN UNPLAYABLE GAME. Maybe we should not CARE aswell...
-
I expect NOTHING but guess what i'm already expecting too much out of BHVR. We've been in this film before.

A wild question that just came out of nowhere, pretty much.... I don't know, what do you think?
BHVR has a problem when it comes to saying they'll do x thing & then not accomplish it.
- When u buy a product, do you care about the process behind it, the difficulties, the problems or you're only interested in the finished version?
We first are customers, before we are part of a community.
There's a difference between understanding the process of making said product AND caring for the process of making said product.
Let's talk about this from a customer point of view.
As a customer you should care about everything. It's one of my favourite parts as a Gamer, knowing how and understanding why it was made this way, it's why i don't buy into fake hype. It's why i don't like BHVR. I legit disagreee with how and why they do what they do in 90% of the cases. Example, beating a dead horse here but whatever, Breakable Walls: Stupid Mechanic that didn't solve any of the Map issues, still gives Survivors extreme safety, forces killer to stop a chase to break the walls or stops killer from patrolling cause it's a blocked passage way. You're forced to deal with them instead of making Map Design better. It's a band aid "fix" that nobody asked for and that didn't really fix anything. Some Breakable Walls MUST be broken while others are benefitial to not break, the Mechanic isn't consistant and never will be. Thank god the RCPD Map is disabled, i played it on PTB and it was Hell, NEVER AGAIN THANK YOU.

The problem isn't SoloQ then the problem is the players being bad.

You'd only be able to select 5 anyway. Base game only has 5 killers on PC and like 7 on Console if i'm not mistaken, Console get's Hag and somebody else. They can't give every killer on Tutorial since you'll have to buy most of them and not everyone does so they can't exactly unlock characters for free even if it's just the Tutorial.

- Yes yes yes, this mechanic is very inconsistent it needs to be tuned up
- I agree rework some of his addons so there more fun and unique like Blight
Point 2. would be strong yes but still with counters. Think of it this way, if that's an isolated Survivor why should GF lose his power? He accomplished his goal, he went in unannounced, got the kill and left before anyone knew anything. It only removes information on where the slug is not that there's a Slug, everyone will notice the change in status for that Survivor player in the HUD. Plus there are Survivor perks that counter Knockout such as Empathy, After-Care for example.
-
It's a good add-on in indoor maps but in outdoor maps it won't be as effective. People are overrating Wraith alot. Despite the Speed buff he has the exact same problem he had before, he can't do ######### in chases, his cloacked speed makes travelling easier that's all it does. Pre dropping or dropping pallets as he uncloacks kills anything Wraith can do, immediatly vaulting windows negates anything Wraith can do. Vault Build is super effective against Wraith.
Wraith still has to play like he had to before. He still has to bodyblock, now it's easier because he moves faster, he still has to hide himself as much as possible but now uncloacking takes longer so without making it faster or masking the sound you're still very easy to counter by doing Shift W. We traded the necessity of Windstorm for the necessity of Swift Hunt or The Serpent, although The Serpent is a gimmick, pre dropping pallets and going away forces Wraith to waste time breaking the pallet or stay cloacked and he's harmless when cloacked, depending on the Map survivors might have plenty of pallets to use before Wraith can get a hit, meaning extra time for everyone else to just do gens unbothered. His uncloack Lunge is reactable aswell, it will work very often cause very often you won't find that manny good survivors but his uncloack Lunge is not a super weapon.
I honestly don't see how Wraith is any better than Ghostface even when Ghostface's add-ons are trash, Ghostface doesn't have a period of time where he can't do anything, he doesn't need to stop using stealth to hit somebody, he can set up quick downs, there's potential to get multiple downs with 1 use of his power, he has better mindgame potential by using his power on loops or by crouching and his sound cues are better than Wraiths aswell. Ghostface got hit hard by the power creep of the following killers, Oni, DeathSlinger, Pyramid Head, Blight, Twins, all these killers have very good abilities that lessened Ghostface's impact on the game. With a revised Revealing Mechanic and some tweaks to Nightshroud he can quickly close that power gap. The biggest change i'd make to Ghostface is survivors not being able to reveal him from his back, this solves using Shroud after hooking survivors, solves random crouched survivors revealing you when you were stalking someone who didn't know where you were. I'd let Ghostface keep Nightshroud if hitting a Marked target while in Nightshroud, this means you used your power effectively and you should be rewarded for that, the reward is keeping Nightshroud active. With Knockout this would be a nice combo, staying undetected and not revealing aura of downed Survivors but you can prevent this by using Spinechill and knowing when Ghostface is coming so you might be able to reveal him. But let's assume this works, you've now created a new off Meta way of playing Ghostface, wich is good. Then do an add-on pass. Either Make Nightshroud 20 sec default CD or increase the add-ons efficiency so you can use just 1 recovery add-on with something else, instead of using 2 recovery add-ons. Chewed pen could be 12 secs reduced cooldown for example, going from 30 to 18 secs, that's 2 sec slower than current Chewed Pen and adress book but it's a 50% buff to Chewed Pen meaning you can use only Chewed Pen and then use another type of add-on.
With a quick revision Ghostface will be the unrivaled Stealth killer.
-
With Nemesis it's quite the other way, everyone thought he was strong in the PTB, only a few people were actively disputing that. Now that the killer was released and more people can acess it people are saying he is on a weaker side. A big issue with tier lists is that those tier lists don't seperate Casual gameplay from "Competitive" gameplay, A tier killers won't work in "Competitive", they are A tier in a normal match. In a sense most killer are being overrated in tier lists.
-
Chase time is irrelevant in a 4v1. You can't down multiple survivors at the same time, except if you're Oni, someone will always be free and safe to do gens. With 3 hooks to kill someone it's really hard to get 12 hooks and keep gens, unless Survivors are complete potatoes.
I had a match last night as Ghostface on Hawkins where i got 9 hooks, 7 Marked Downs and 2 quick downs thanks to I'm All Ears, all short chases. I lost all the gens anyway because there was always someone free to do gens. Granted i was trying Adept so i only had Thrilling Tremors for Gen defense but i was getting Marks and downs fast and it didn't matter. Meaning Chase time doesn't matter at all, against good players even short chases are punished, against bad players even long chases are fine. Survivor efficiency trumps everything a killer can do.

But data now shows most games are a 4K for killer. Logically that would show survivors are not able to compete. You can say some are just bad but surely not all are. If they are, why is that?
Most survivors are pure casuals. The only reason a good survivor dies is if they are trying to save the bad ones. If all Survivors are good then killers getting 2k is already a massive effort, this is what MMR showed.
