Itd be less annoying if it wasnt predictable.
It's just as annoying as a killer who let's all survivors bleed on the floor for no other reason than to be a...DbD Gamer.
But people always pipe up disingenuously on the topic by saying "I'm just giving the killer some BP!" or "I'm making sure all our team gets out!" as if they dont know what ppl are actually talking about.
General rule of thumb is dont be a jerkwad, and dont waste peoples time.
But respecting peoples time is a mind blowing concept it seems.
It's a little thing called Empathy and the Golden Rule

✔ Another 2 screams from Static Blast.
i'm missing one, hmmm...
wait for it...
wait for it....
✔ 4th scream located from locker and now target acquired, cuz they're exposed
It's stupidly op on Doctor if someone doesn't run Calm Spirit, and let's be honest, this perk is never seen outside people doing Jake adept.
It needs to be fused with another perk to make it playable.
Yeah, it's awesome on Doc. I personally go all in on the Starstruck+Agitation Iron Maiden pain train with him.
You're screaming no matter what if you're in my range

Why exactly does it need counterplay?
You can be within 50m of the killer if it bothers you that much.

The lack of controller settings is such a huge issue I don't think most MnK players realise. On controller you can't customise:
- Joystick deadzones which is how much you have to push the joystick in order to make the character move or look around. This game has strict deadzones which makes console player's camera movement look incredibly choppy instead of smooth like MnK. This is also one of the sole reasons aiming killers are so hard to play - especially trickster.
- Trigger deadzones which is basically just joystick deadzones but for the left and right triggers. Not as big of an issue as joystick DZs but something that should be customisable anyway.
- (As you mentioned) The sensitivity is too low even on 100% for rapid movement killers like blight and nurse. The sensitivity should go up to double what it is now.
As for other issues:
- While blight and nurse are hit hard by the inability to flick, they both don't compare to how badly hit console Oni is compared to PC oni. Oni needs the flick and he just doesn't have it on console.
- Certain aiming killers being designed in an anti-console way. Mainly looking at trickster who is absurdly difficult on console because of:
- 2 firing points
- Randomised (and in turn being uncontrollable) recoil
- Long throw delay (the time between pressing the throw button and the knife actually taking flight)
- + pretty much everything else that makes trickster harder to aim including the 2 firing points moving inwards over time, the slight movement slowdown to make strafing harder over time, and once again the terrible joystick deadzones. I don't mind him being difficult, but the fact that he has SO MUCH to make a console players life harder I just don't understand.
- Now that im typing this it just sounds like a trickster rant.
Funnily enough, the Trickster buffs made him less accessible for console, I feel. I remember release Trickster being absolute dust, but I remember him being a little more functional for us.
-
DH is so busted that balancing it feels like oppression or a war crime to people lol.
ppl dont want it nerfed cuz its good, its a slog having every survivor have base kit iFrames.
-
overall i think console on current gen console aint bad. your average killer like nemmy and legion do just fine.
what blows are the controller settings and lack of adjustments. Trickster is literally impossible.
Nurse and Spirit get NTRd so hard by the auto aim or aim dressing or whatever its called. For some ungodly reason, your killer will have a spasm and attack around the survivor, making you whiff completely.
Wish I could do the moves that PC Onis could, though. You can always tell when you're against a PC Oni

NOED rewards a killer for not getting everyone dead before doing the gens which is their objective. After the last gen it become stopping them from leaving. Adrenaline rewards a survivor for getting all the gens done. They are not the same thing.
Nowhere does it say survivors need to die before the gens pop.
The survivors job isnt to do 5 gens, it's to escape.

Id like some level of communication and coordination by default, such as being able to say youre going for the lament configuration. Then from there we can make changes to killers in response. I think that'd be best for everybody

I don't know. Mine always like to hold secret club meetings behind those tiled lockers on midwich. Something got to up
I'm glad I'm not the only one.
Why is it that BOTH zombies end up like this? It's like one of them says to the other "hey man i got something cool to show ya, follow me bro"
even if you kill them, they spawn in and do it again!
I know it's really bad luck but still, feels bad

So what do you do when you dont play at peak time where games are watered down?
Or what do you do as a basic attack killer against safe or god pallets?
While I'd love to spend all day just gaming DBD at peak times with an expanded pool so I get more chill players.... sadly I dont, I'll play off peak time where people actually play sweaty.
I'll have 4 survivors stacking meta and actually know how to loop, they wont just give me free downs... but if you think they're all viable lucky you, I'll avoid killer till I can have fun, verse more chill players or perks like DH are changed.
Edit: no one is asking all killers to be nurse level, just better than they currently are. Alot of issues are maps, tile setups and some perks but apparently they wont change huge maps so...
I've noticed no particular difference in quality of survivor team mates during or off peak, with the exception being that i see more swf at night.
I'll take the predictable unpredictability of solo q if it means I get 30 second Qs. I'm kind of over waiting 10 minutes just to get grabbed by a GF and get basemented 😅

why cant we have both?

ive seen ppl thru Empathy waving to the killer to follow them and they trail after my Empathic Connection aura. Jerks.

to be fair OP, his base shock is kinda rough lol. if you use his addon that reduces the shock delay, youll notice that it feels much better to use. but yeah, its an addon :/

Bubba's too much fun to stay in one place too long.
may i suggest one very rare demogorgon? you can harass gens, defend totems as well as down survivors while effectively "face" camping the basement through either sheer intuition or through his leprose lichen. STBFL and Agitation is what I use on Demo and it work wonders if you need to get your hands dirty.
It just makes total sense to hook people in your web of portals, so Agitation and STBFL put in a ton of work.
Why sit in the basement and twiddle your thumbs with Insidious when you could walk upstairs and teleport back into the basement to read every aura?

FYI this thread will likely just be flooded with killers coming to defend the "strategy" and talking about how it's easily counterable and completely fair, even though we all know fine well it's BS and should be removed. Every single thread I've seen about this has ended the same way.
The same people who were kicking off about Boil Over when it was being exploited are the exact same ones who will rush to defend this terribly-designed add-on. Because ya know exploits and rulebreaking are only a problem when they're done by the opposing side 🙄
"AFKing" and "idling" are reportable offenses and hence Pigs doing this should be banned.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/U54X4F3KG3GO/image.png
Period.
Pig boxes aren't doing anything they aren't supposed to. There's no exploit, and you won't get banned for idling, either.
We're all just going to have to wait for Pig changes.

accept friend requests
sorry, i kinda just collect those as trophies.

my main 2 builds are:
BBQ, Agitation, Starstruck, Pain Rez
Lethal, BBQ, Noed, No Way Out
-
afk pig can only really be played if you want to mine DCs and salt and have your inbox overloaded with self-harm requests. It's generally too inconsistent, you need Rancor as well as a yellow mori to even have a chance of averaging a 50% kill rate with it.
You also need to spend copious amounts of BPs to stock up on Iri addons for matches where you wont even make your money back.
-
new maps are always better! last time i was super excited about dbd was the release of rcpd. god, pre boon rcpd was Heaven
seeing how every killer can interact with a new level is neat.
-
how much you do play recently has a huge impact on gameplay; doesnt matter if youre a god nurse, if you come back after a 2 month break youre gonna be rusty. if youre Ash 3 on the 12th of the month against all iri 1s, odds are its gonna be a rough match. doesnt matter if the iri 1s were the equivalent of Purple/Green ranks.

Actually if you want to fully promote survivors working together then their win condition should be nobody dies. If they win if anybody escapes then you can have a lone wolf survivor just hide all match and hopefully get out and all the survivors “win” if they do. Forcing all survivors to live to be their win condition though would make altruism toward the team much more important, if a teammate is about to die you need to do all you can to prevent it.
Honestly the game really should have been designed from the beginning with the survivors clearly being a cohesive team and having a clear win/loss objective. Semi-cooperative games rarely work well and DbD isn’t an exception in that regard. It’s really the one main design flaw I don’t like about the game. Unfortunately it’s way too late to go changing that fundamental aspect of the gameplay at this, we’re stuck with the game being built around semi-cooperative survivors and the problems that result from it.
Personally, as far as the original question goes, I agree with a bunch of people above that, to me, if I get 3-4 kills as a killer I consider it a win, if I only get 0-1 it’s a loss, and 2 is a draw. That fits with the way MMR works and also fits with the dev’s design goal of 1-3 kills being the most common results and 2 kills being the average result. And I think in general that’s also in line with my results - if I outplay the survivors I usually get 3-4 kills, if I play badly I get 0-1 kills, and if we both play well 1-3 kills is the usual result.
I have a similar view, but as a long time L4D fan, I think one sacrifice can still be considered a win for everybody. Those Bills who everybody leaves behind is a winner in my books
-
ive been playing nemesis lately so I cant really tell haha. My last match 10 minutes ago I got 2 dcs on suffocation pit, with one of them dcing basically after they were sacrificed. like damn, way to stick it to the man, bro. ya got me.
had a dc earlier on midwich too. people realy dont like getting infected it seems
-
at least you can have dance parties with afk pig. basement bubba is boring because survivors wont approach you and will all split up and just get out asap.
-
Did you have fun?
No? Then you didn't win.
-
that would be me lol. i was introduced to dbd on last gen hardware, where you couldnt really use exhaustion perks at certain points. you got used to it.

sounds like a nurse buff; can't have that

Nemmy is great at chomping pallets (and hitting over them), but I've had groups on Game that still manage to drag out chases by cutting loops really tight and making it hard for me to tentacle them.
Yeah, those games can be really rough. the ones that seem to loop super tight are also pretty good at making it hard to predict what they'll do at a pallet.
I'd still prefer to play them on the Game, though. Idk what it is, but even though how hard, difficult, and frustrating the level can be, I never have troubles finding anybody on that level.
Even on my worst Game experiences, I'm still thankful I'm not on the Eyrie of Crows or something like that. Places like that feel like a slog to traverse.

My only issue with the blurred vision is that it can make certain people feel motion sick. Otherwise it’s an intended and balanced part of his kit. It’s how he can pull off mindgames at a lot of loops which he needs to secure hooks
its funny because I personally only started noticing some motion sickness after they added a crosshair to your screen when you get drugged to help prevent motion sickness haha.

I do pretty good with Demo and Doctor on that map, where it's not a very big map as far as length due to it being 2 floors I feel like I can apply good pressure with the doc and get more use out of his power instead of a map like Ormond where it's just so big that doctor can't even properly get use of his power outside of chase.
Skillcheck Doc on the Game is a classic Dbd meme/experience, but Starstruck Doc is nightmare fuel.
Docs blast feels like an actual slowdown ability on THe Game and not just a tracking tool to compensate for playing on a gargantuan map.

The only killers I'd reckon work well on The Game are Nurse (but she's good almost anywhere), Hag, Legion and possibly Onryo (although she generally just sucks).
Nemesis is really strong there; The Game has tons of loops that he makes unsafe.
-
I miss Headless Legion. That was the best bunny
-
the Kick area should be wider too. kicking it feels kinda finnicky at times

nice to see other people recognize this builds potential. shadowstep and iron will can be evil. Making good use of the Linger effect can make for really strong plays.
