Yes. The whole scoring system for survivor is incredibly outdated and because of that survivor BP gain is horrible. There should at least be some altruism or survival points awarded for being camped. Being camped is technically distracting the killer.
I'm no expert, but I've wondered if excess points in one category should borrow from the others. so somebody who gets chased for 4 generators with zero opportunity for altruism or objective can still gain some decent BP. I feel like the cap was there originally to encourage you to do a bit of everything, but I think that's not really feasible or realistic.

eh, ive been rocking solo q lately myself. Well, this week specifically. Last week was miserable for me. Ive been finding team mates who actually notice and appreciate my Empathic Connection.
solo q can be really inefficient as its hard to coordinate so sometimes theres redundancy, but its not the lack of communication that makes it miserable imo, its everybody only looking out for themselves. Why die for a stranger?
The Heroes of Solo q, also known as Bill players, save you and they usually get rewarded with abandonment and are left for dead, which probably creates some kind of feedback loop where people don't want to help others.
This week I've been blessed with heroes, people on death hook and injured, the killer expecting them to be looking for hatch, and end up saving me like a boss. Matching with them makes you really want to try.

People miss being able to shut down killer builds by cleansing Ruin
Saboing and bodyblocking Scourge Hooks aint as easy as that, so ofc people are going to want it nerfed. Because killers are waking up to the fact that Ruin is over rated. Pain Resonance was literally mana from the heavens. It's the best thing we've gotten in a long time.
Killers are starved for time. Pain Resonance rewards us for focusing on our primary objective of killing. The more we try to kill, the more chances we get to kill.
-
you got epicly PWNT and TROLED like an epic gamer boss. truly skilled, very outplayed.
i wouldnt even bother trying to understand somebody who tries to power trip you. they do it to have influence over you, like making you feel miserable and quit. camping first down with saw until they die and all the other survivors escape is an easy way to do that.
-
tbh grim embrace should reveal ALL survivors instead. this would make survivors truly feel grim.
i am aware this would be amazeballs on Nurse, but not even Starstruck has gotten her nerfed and shes gained an additional blink since then.
Imagine Mikey with this
-
I just want sneaky DS back, so I petition that we give DS a global TR.
I promise that this is a net neutral change and I'm not promoting some kind of Starstruck propaganda
-
Her gameplay is pretty binary, but lacks the dopamine rewards that Nemesis gives.
-
I spawned in direct LOS of a Mikaela last night....on Ormond.
She got the full Lethal Pursuer Nemesis experience, but without the LP. I've had ppl spawn in my TR but never direct LoS

Some may say Nemmy should just suck it up and let Claud escape, but hes under no obligation to.
Claud could have done gens. Sure that's heatbag, but she can locker hop after she does one until he goes back to hatch or something.

Not sure what's good on Pinhead these days tbh, ever since his addon nerfs I went on a break and I have yet to figure him out again.
I used to like keeping up pressure with Hoarder, but now I'm back to using my classic build aka starstruck, agitation, bbq and pain resonance. I feel like his aura addon and his impaling wire pairs well with this. Good for keeping exposed survivors in place.
-
Its...a killer buff in the video game Dead by Daylight, that is for certain.
But I cant say I feel anything in regards to it. The music being attached to addons is kinda sus, personally.
-
I agree; nerf the Artists disgusting bird noises
She makes plague sound like ASMR
-
Main Nemesis and buy every Game offering you can. It's almost a guaranteed 3k

Before they were absorbed into the general pool of perks, I'd have said Steve. Despite being one of the popular characters, his perks are pretty niche, but Ace and Ash are strong contenders for that. They have really bad perks that do not sinergise well in general, outside Open Handed and Flip-Flop that is. I see people being constantly praised for Mettle of Man plays.. but it's so rare to actually see it on play or get any value from it.
Steve was honest to God trash.
I'm so happy they buffed Babysitter and Second Wind.

I'll take Sadako over GF

Deadlock requires you to lose a gen, it’s bad.
you consistently 4k at 5 gens?
-
a couple of them(1 and 5? 3 and 5?) have the whole level behind the school, whereas the others has everything in front of the school. That's been the only significant difference I've seen.
-
i love it paired with UB, but wouldn't use it on its own tbh.
I get value like, maybe once or twice in 10 matches? But when it works I'm reminded why I used it in the first place haha. No greater high than having a killer leave me slugged to go for a 4k, he kills that guy, and goes to seal the deal only for me to just Unbreakable in his face and laugh all the way to the hatch. Perfect for when I'm in a Shining Lion flashlight Feng mood

if CoH only offered bonus healing speed, even at its original PTB/launch values, the best boon would easily be Shadowstep .
CoHs problem isn't the heal speed. It's the fact that it essentially spawns a limitless amount of Brown medkits for all survivors, all for the low low price of 1/16th of available perk slots. Talk about power creep.
Survivors normally have a finite amount of resources. Even with 4 Ranger Kits on The Game, a killer can burn through the kits and remove all the pallets and leave the survivors with nothing except for the co op actions. if you need to heal, you to need to work together. Minus of course Self Care, but that's a fine perk.
Now survivors as a team have an infinite resource through Circle of Healing. You cant ever exhaust it except by flat out killing every survivor that has a boon. They don't need to group up anymore, they can visit the boon at their own leisure.
The perks actual problem isn't being addressed, so it's fair to not just accept whatever we are being given. I want CoH nerfed properly, but I also want it to be a fun perk that people would want to use.
-
it should be the same size as an autodidact skillcheck. it just seems silly to me.
-
id love to see spirit be 115; i feel like nothing meaningful will happen with iron will, so let us just be able to loop normally. one thing i think that kinda gates people from Spirit is precisely because shes 110% and kinda needs to use power, which is not a bad thing but at this point frig it.
But I think shes a strong and balanced killer. Way more than Blight that's for sure. I think Spirit is in a good spot right now.
-
Trickster is a bit more "guaranteed" damage in the sense that every loop you do, you can force at least 2 knives on a survivor. Eventually this will lead to a health state. Meanwhile, charging hatchet can be tricky when the survivor loops really tight.
Huntress is way easier and way more forgiving though. Trickster is NOT easier just because he has more knives. If he still had his 66 knives base I may have agreed, but not now.
-
Sadako needs some love, but they're a bunch of small things. She doesn't have really anything glaring that needs to be addressed, per se.
I'm just hoping they'll treat her right

I've personally taken to combining Empathic Connection and Empathy. Someone hurt, I can find them and they can find me. Put together with Autodidact or makes for a reliable healing build. Fourth perk is flex but I've been getting good value out of Renewal.
I've been doing the same! Atm I've been going for full roleplay with the Nurse so I've been using Iron Will+Bite the Bullet to patch my children up in peace

the separate MMR thing is more of a joke than anything.
I remember when Bhvr was experimenting with the SBMM, and back then they really did have separate killer mmr lmao it was a clown fiesta. They scaled that back massively, if not entirely. Rightfully so, because it was too forgiving and one thing we know is that DbD players will do whatever it takes to face the weakest opponents possible lol.

Wraith better too
I'm a garb Wraith but I still can't get used to nerfed Wraith. My body only remembers his pre nerf Lunge.
Might as well play as Sadako now 😥
-
my survivors hug walls so tightly they're practically making out with the wall
If I so much as get close to a wall, it's like my shoelaces come untied, my sweater gets caught on a branch and my hair gets yoinked
-
Oh great, I rolled Midwich and I've got zombie addons! Oh no, whats this? BOTH of my zombies are BOTH stuck inside the back of lockers permanently? Guess I'll just kill them!
*zombies respawn and immediately get stuck inside of lockers*
Useless man, useless. addons like Zombie detection/movement speed are just wasted slots that could be given to more useful addons. Broken Recovery Coin is such a boring addon but it's sad how it's indisputably his best.
-
If a killer lost when the gens were done, then the game would finish and perks like Noed, Nwo, and Bloodwarden wouldn't exist.
-
Right now my primary form of gen pressure is simply to overwhelm the survivors. Sometimes I run Lethal Pursuer to put on the pressure almost immediately. Either way, I focus on forcing that first down. That lets me use my favorite perk, Starstruck. Sometimes I use this with Agitation. Starstruck makes survivors play so much safer for a few seconds, and can multiply my pressure if I can get a follow up down, possibly with the assistance of BBQ.
But what makes it all come together is Pain Resonance. I sometimes am a little slow to get the ball rolling, but downing healthy survivors and chaining Scourge Hooks has been working for how I like to play. I love saving The Game offerings for Nemesis haha, either BBQ finds you or your coughing will give you away.
I'm a huge fan of Plague, too. I had a lot of success using her prayer tablet addon using the perks Fearmonger, Tinkerer and Jolt. With Plague, you can puke on the generaiders that you want to contest. The survivors will be forced to break themselves. They will likely refuse to give you a killer power, but they'll suffer for it with Fearmonger and Tinkerer. No Dead Hard means no free getaway, Tinkerer means you approach unexpectedly, and Jolt is my way of saying " nice try"
Outside of my personal biases, mobility really helps. Blight is one of the best killers in the game because he can easily cover lots of ground. All the Tinkerer notifications don't mean a whole lot if you can't get there in time. And good survivors typically split up.
-
For the longest time I had no clue that survivors such as Feng and Ace were actually DLC. I would never pay for smirk man, that's just laughably bad. I'm glad I own him through gamepass though, because he's got some decent outfits.
-
I've managed to loop Legions, GFs, Myers and even a Bubba for at least 10 minutes each, but I attribute that to having played a crap ton of Legion. He's good at keeping my survivor gameplay in shape.
I really struggle against stealth killers though. I'm pretty lame against Pyramid Head, Nemesis and Oni. I still can't quite seem to get in the right spot to dodge Onis bonk, and its always PC Onis.
-
I've been goofing around with a full spellcaster build with all 4 boons lately, and my opinion on Exponential has improved slightly. I don't think the perk itself is bad, but it's really competing for space and there's tons of competition.
I typically only see any Exponential value(whether to myself or anyone else) every few games. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but there are other perks that activate just as rarely but are easier to get value from, requires less setup and are perhaps even better such as DS, Soul Guard and Unbreakable. Exponential is also a little more map reliant than these perks.
-
My #1 archenemyis probably a tie between Ghostface and Billy. Then its probably Clown, Trapper and Pig.
-
The problem with Killer is the gargantuan grind, not by being pay to win.
-
I wish they'd get rid of locker saves, but i'd rather survivors have flashlights than other items
-
I've met cheaters, but how do you even program auto dead hard? How does that even work?
-
Beret Jill sound like a money printing press idk why it's not a thing.
Chatterer skin is pretty great, I'm confident whatever Cenobite they would come up with next would be just as dope
-
He needs some power adjustments.
The old saying "nerf addons buff base " is a tired line but it really is true for Doc.
You can either have an inconsistent badass shock or a functional one. Feels bad needing either a range or a shock delay addon when Doc has so many decent addons.
-
What about killers who cant be assed to chase?
-
I took noed once and no one died
Plz buff killer bad
-
probably starstruck and pain res
-
the jump scare is probably the coolest thing about the Hag, that's all I can politely say. I think it should be left alone.
-
I've been having the time of my life. For some reason solo q team mates have been actually trying to follow the Empathic Connection aura and get healed up by the Nurse. Usually people see that aura and think of it as a negotiation tool to sell me out to the killer

im kinda sad that fingernails an addon in the first place. maybe im just being greedy though.

i like the good iri a lot. really helpful for keeping up and not falling behind

For survivor, it's probably Distortion. Even with 3 tokens my opinion on it hasn't really changed. Knowledge is power. Just ask otz after that Legion game that was posted today where he used Blood Echoes lol.
Being able to sometimes confirm that there's a 0% chance of Noed is nice as well.
