David being made gay was literally nothing but a giant PR stunt that in no way shape or form improved this game, only served to make people feel good. Admirable yes, a waste of time, also yes.
...are you homophobic or do you not realize that the writers dont code the game

Okay.
Your sentence doesn't mean anything, because it encompasses so many elements that in the end it generalizes 150,000%.
Look,if you believe that Nurse is not overpowered, your opinion is just objectively wrong and I honestly don't see the point talking

"proof me if I'm wrong?"
YOU are making an accusation.
It's up to YOU to bring the proof of what you say.
I'm waiting for videos of you playing the nurse.
Videos of several of your games.
In full.
you want proof? the past 6 years of dead by daylight. lmao
-
Mfs legit LEGIT USING HER KILLRATE AS AN EXCUSE.
Of course a new player can't manage to play Nurse and gets ######### on. She's really hard to pick up,yes.but then she's the most overpowered character in the game, lmao. Y'all are insane.
-
And then again I dont understand how y'all dont think how if we just bump the DC penalty people will just suicide on hook instead
-
This game regularly disconnects you because of server errors and there's a surge of hackers atm holding people hostage. If anything we should lower the DC penalty lmao.

Sorry, that doesn't answer my question
My question is if Legion can insta down you with only 4 feral slashes, or if its a bug or something like that..
he indeed hit me 2 times and deadly stab me but, one of my teammates was already dead, which makes no sense
That answers your question. He could have chained his hits multiple times off the same survivors who mended before. The Legion doesnt have to hit 4 unique survivors to get his death stab, only chain the frenzy 4 times.

Because they're crybabies and want the changes reverted. The game is balanced now, and survivors have been the power role for 6 years. Of course some of them are gonna be pissed. That doesn't change the fact that the game is much more healthy now.
solo queue was never the power role and you're objectively wrong

Can you explain more what you think has changed between the old dead hard and new, other than it being much harder to pull off now that makes it less fun? Or is it that the decrease in the timing window is not fun to try to hit?
I've personally had tons of fun glitching into spots you're not meant to be in,DHing into a wall never ceased to be funny because how stupid it looked.
Just remembered, you also could DH into the air onto old haddonfield and fly away from the killer lmaooo

The gen slowdown is secondary to you maybe, but it's the most important part of the perk. Survivors are not constantly healing, it is not their objective. What they are doing constantly is gens.
It's effectively -20% heal speed when self healing. Basically disabled by having a teammate heal you. Pointless.
If they're constantly doing gens injured then you can just punish that, lmao. If they're stacked up healing to try and use their medkits or healing perks (which 99% of survivors use as it's the meta) then you can punish that too.
-
@YOURFRIEND said:
So it's basically -7% gen speeds, while capping healing at 80% speed self heal, 150% other people heal.
You understand this does absolutely nothing, yes? It's furtive chase tier. 7% is inconsequential and 80-150% healing speed is still extremely fast. On top of overriding penti for some bizzare reason. No one would run this.
I dunno,I would defo run this. I think you're not encountering as many medkits as a lot of people do or don't realize how powerful they are.
This will make medkits, much, much slower when used for self heals, essentially negating green medkits. We'll make it and juiced medkit setups on other survivors are basically negated with this.
The slight vault speed reduction is also pretty nice,it will give you a small edge in some chases.
Also I think you missed out on the gen slowdown being secondary.
-
poppin in with an obligatory mention of my rework for thana which solves most of it's problems. i dont think this perk can live with a number's change.

I think the biggest problem for me is that, while Killer for me was always "stomp or be stomped", survivor felt like more or a back n' forth
now it's extremely "stomp or be stomped" if I play survivor where either the killer gets rolled or my team
it ain't fun
-
I remember being very excited for my first two matches this patch,it was lots of fun seeing all the new silly combos and having fun.
Now I'm kinda playing less or playing on autopilot without even thinking about it, really,I only play to get tomes done and I don't really get fun games anymore.

How about...no? Those aren't the only three killers that would be overpowered with old slowdown in current DbD.
Nurse and Blight are the most balanced killers in the game. Wanting to remove them so your main can have the perks that would be too strong on them is ridiculous. Ask for buffs to Freddy, not nerfs to other killers because you decided to main a ######### one.
nurse is not and anyone with over 500 hours will agree with her being the most op killer in the game

Hello,
Hoping to get advice from a mod if possible.
I'm trying to file a report on a killer who took my game hostage/harassed me the other day, as I have video evidence for once.
The video is from a twitch VOD from the killer, so I cropped to the game where the griefing happened, leaving only a few seconds of the lobby (to show his username matches the ID I want to report), loading into the game, and the part showing his problematic behaviour.
The video is nearly 7 minutes long, and the least heavy format I could export it to with decent quality makes it a 168Mo MP4 file.
However, whenever I try to upload the file on the reporting page, the loading bar flies by until it gets interrupted with a message saying "The upload took too long, connection was lost.". The uploading process never goes longer than a few seconds before being interrupted. (I do not have connection problems at the moment)
I tried to upload a screenshot to see if it was working at all, and the screenshot got uploaded without a problem.
Is the problem coming from the video file being too heavy ?
If so, I don't know how to proceed to upload the video proof. Yet, I do feel that it is necessary. Uploading only screenshots does not translate faithfully all of what happened, and a claim without evidence would not do.
I would appreciate an answer on this matter. Thank you in advance !
just...upload it to youtube?

I've noticed a pattern with DbD's updates over the years. While the game has had glaring issues that actively hamper the experience of players, (Performance problems, bloodpoint grind, bad map design), the devs decide to change things that absolutely no one asked for. Here's a list of the things that I can remember being unnecessarily changed just off the top of my head, in no particular order.
- Adding the overheat mechanic to Hillbilly instead of just nerfing his charge speed add-ons.
- Redoing survivor animations.
- Redoing Doctor's face (His cosmetic images still haven't been updated yet).
- Redoing Trapper's mask (But not changing the loading splash screen with the OG mask being used).
- Making PWYF tokens consumed when killers perform non-lethal actions (Such as Clown's bottles).
- Removing all survivor face cosmetics from Leatherface
- Moving two lockers in the house in Garden of Joy making it safer when playing against Dredge
- Adding a cost to resetting your bloodweb level after you reach level 50
- Changing Blight's "Soul Chemical" add-on to a skillcheck gimmick
- Making it so running Blastmine and Repressed Alliance forces you to activate both of them at the same time when repairing a gen
- Nerfing Selfcare
- Reducing totem blessing and cleansing speed whilst using Calm Spirit
- Nerfing Mettle of Man (How is this even real?)
- Removing the exhausted effect from one of Clown's add-ons
- Removing the exhausted effect from one of Doctor's add-ons
And these are just the things I can remember. Behaviour really needs to take a look internally and reprioritise what exactly their goals are when developing this game. Because sometimes it seems like they have no idea what they're doing and are just making changes for the sake of it.
are you still mad about the masks holy

Sadako is a worse dredge and he is widely agreed to be around B tier. His locker tp is outright better and he has a chasing power.
sadako is clearly better because you can instantly Mori a survivor if they turn off the brains and don't think while playing the videogame

- Extends the duration of a Survivor's Aura being revealed to you by +2 seconds.
To me, it seems like that means that any time a survivor's aura would be revealed to you, it would continue to be revealed to you for two seconds after it would normally stop being revealed. It doesn't say that it only applies to effects with an explicit timer.
What duration is there to extend? You can't extend the duration of you pressing the stalk button

That's... not how it works.
It is most decidedly not if those fast iterations are all terrible. It can still either be good and lead the game towards excellence or bad and lead to the game crashing and burning. All fast changes does is get the game to those end points faster.
The mantra in game design of "Fail Faster" only works if you learn from those failures.
they might! i just hope they dont learn "dont try this at all" and instead "do this but dont bring ######### perks to the table"

The problem is not that its too strong, its that no other killer can benefit from the perk, i just wanted that they gave it a rework (new mechanic that isnt that boring but has the same effect(gen slowdown)) so more killers could use it, maybe make it so injured survivors cant work on generators together with healthy survivors and vice versa... idk
yeah even IF it performs worse on plague and legion it now just doesn't perform on anyone else which is BLOODY STUPID

Oh boy, that's a lot.
Okay, so... yes, Legion has one addon for inflicting Broken on people. Legion would still need all four survivors both alive and injured to get maximum slowdown, and the second one guy can heal, the slowdown is shredded. Even if that doesn't happen, the pressure lets up when one person dies.
Provided one person can be healed, Thanataphobia is near useless. It categorically was nerfed, both for Legion and for Plague. It's not a perfect solution since it's still useless for any other killer, but facing Thana Legion or Plague will categorically be less obnoxious because countering it is now way easier- to the point where countering it is meaningfully possible.
As for MoM, yep, those are the nerfs! Well, kind of- MoM already did that last thing when you were healed, and now it does it straight away. MoM also got a buff in that it requires only two Protection hits to activate, so it seems pretty clear that the intent is to bring it more in line with other Endurance perks while making it easier to activate. There's room for discussion as to just how much that'll help, which is why simply saying it "got nerfed" is misleading; that clearly wasn't the intent, even if it might end up being the effect.
also you do realize vs plague you either eat the same Thana value or give her the second best chase power in the game, right?

If a person shoots someone with the intent of healing them and ends up killing them it's not misleading to say that they've committed a murder. Intent doesn't matter, what the hell are you talking about

There is an obvious lack of validation in the various states and contextes.
It feels like the server acts as a "dumb" message forwarder and the clients gobble everything mindlessly.
So a player can move at high speed, teleport m, change hook state, ... without triggering any kind of trap in the program.
The simple fact an EGC can start and not lead to the end of the match, holding players hostage, is kind of ridiculous.
edit:
EAC and its kind can only do so much.
yeah their dedicated servers are like..peer-to-peer janked onto dedicated with some validation checks (pallets/etc.) and it's really, really bad
