So it takes skill to go against Spirit at red ranks. Let survivors have difficulty levels too.

What makes you say that? The most toxic survivors are at red ranks, where I'm at. Thanks for your rude assumptions, though.
Sorry, didn't mean to be rude. In my expirience all toxiс survivos was focused on yellow ranks 16-13. They just smurfing back to troll beginner killers.
I'm playing at red ranks and I don't see much bad manners from survivors actually. Maybe it's because I don't pay attention to it and it doesn't hurt anymore.

Very hard to pull off. When you down a survivor but not hook him right away, more experienced players will have a close watch on the timer. I would rather like it if it would be triggered by camping the exit gates. We would see this perk on every second killer.
I know it's situational, but because almost no one run it survivors most of the time don't expect it coming. Especially on lower ranks. I guess OP is a beginner, so this perk might help.
-
Another satisfying perk that benefit from teabagers is Blood Warden. It's a bit situational but if you often get into situation when everyone is alive at the end of the match it might help.
-
You don't realise that sometimes teabaging actually helping you if you don't take it to heart. I hooked so much idiots that stopped just to teabag and get downded inches by exit line. It is so satisfying when tables turned because he tryed to taunt me and then died because his own stupidity. You will definitely get such moments someday. Just don't be offended by this stupid gesture. You may run Save the best for last perk to make them miscalculate their time and you will probably get this moments more frequently.
-
In theory haunted grounds could be activated up to 3 times. But you never get survivors stupid enough to cleanse haunted grounds twice. If you take ruin to stimulate cleansing you may activate haunted grounds twice a best, but you still have high risk they cleanse ruin or even undying first.

If anyone cared, I decided to give up (and not spend any auric cells), but at least I made it to tier 50. David's Jacket was something I really wanted, just so I can do this.

I now have Jotaro David, so that's neat.
You still have 3 hours and 40 minutes to try reach level 55 to get full Zarina's outfit.
Did you complete challenges?
-
I prestiged Huntress to level 3 with all perks and got spend all add-ons and offerings. Now I play her without add-ons and she is good anyway.
Exhaustion add-ons is convinient but nothing special. It is more interesing to bait dead hard by holding charged hatchet.
Iri head is so useless. Once you bring iri head survivors dc and give up without trying to play.
Belts are awesome.
My favorite add-on is Glowing Concoction that let you see the aura of survivor hit with hatchet for 5 seconds. So much sick shots I did with this add-on. Shame it's very rare.
Worst add-on that should never exist is Pungent Phial that make you see auras of lockers. Who would need to reload with hatchets in stock? Even if you need to reload, you always have no problem finding lockers. And its quality is rare. If this supposed to help to beginners it should be common at best.
The rest of add-ons is good but it doesn't really change gameplay.
-
I don't know for sure but it should. I know death from pig's helmets counts as killing by hands. When you kill someone with your hands by mori, killing perk or special power - icon of killed survivor appear as clean shaped skull. Same goes with final judgement.
-
Demogorgon
Ghostface
Plague
Anytime I play as them I feel so helpless, I can't make a single kill!
Oh, wait, it's a survivor main thread...
-
You can run him around the rock for a minute because he has 110 speed. What a great chase potential. His power only good in open areas and unsafe loops with short walls. He can shot you when you run to the pallet but only when he is straight behind you. When you see 2 survivors in one place you can use your power only on 1 of them. While you using your harpoon then reloading your gun it is got so much time that second survivor unharmed already repairing a gen on another end of map. Good deatslinger mains can shot you through the hole in the wall but it require a ton of skill and luck. His power has pretty high skill cap and limits. Stop acting like he is chasing god.
He is already balanced by his weaknesses. So let us have a variation of killer that is slight better in chases sometimes but slow walking to prevent gens. Instead of making him equalized to the rest of killer pool.
-
Why don't you close post game chat? If it's so annoying you may click bubble icon to close the chat.
I like to talk about match in post game chat, discuss builds or strategies. If killer performed poorly I give him some tips if I can. When I see someone go toxic I don't really care about it because most of the time the reason opponent toxicity is because he lose. At this point his words absolutely not harmful. Almost no one in my expirience didn't go toxic after win. Very rare case.

I just said this to OP, because he once said he thinks "Blood Favour" is a good perk.
Can't blame him. Almost everyone was thinking that way when perk descriptions was released. But after testing it no one would run this perk again.

Use "Blood Favour" to block pallets. Easy solution man.
Maybe i'm unlucky but I find this perk useless. I think it would be useless even if there was no cooldown. Once you hit survivor by the pallet he uses his speed boost to reach another tile. With this perk you just make survivor not to waste palet in panic.
This perk seem strong on paper but when I tried to get adept blight this perk never helped me.

As much as I hate, and I really meant hate, to admit it, I half agree with you. Not about killer being easy; only a select few killers are easy and even then one of them can still be rushed if he messes up (the other one is spirit). But about the early game being less important than late game; I always used to play with the motto that the only gen that matters is the final one.
Can't say one part of game is more important than another. If you mess up early game it's almost impossible to comeback in the end unless survivors deside to stay and troll you, or if you get entire endgame build.
Otz once said that if you get one guy killed when 2 or more gens left, it means you doing right. And I noticed in my games that this rule is pretty accurate.
It won't work if you just tunnel one guy and ignore others though.
-
Making first hook while 1 gen done is pretty normal situation at the moment. You lose 1 gen while 6 gens are untouched. If they don't do first gen in first 35 seconds it means they do separate gens and you gonna get 3 gens fly by 80 secons if you not prevent it. Then you will get into situation where is no one close to death and they just need to do 2 out of 4 gens to escape. This is much worse than first gen done in 35 seconds. It is gonna be barely winnable situation for you even if they 3-gened themselves.
-
I don't like the idea of censoring swear language in names. Steam is not that family friendly. They allowed to publish 18+ games not so long ago.
I understand that N word is hardly forbidden. I live in Kazakhstan. I have seen black person IRL maybe twice in my life and never had chance to speak with them but I completely accept this rule. But censoring this word may cause censoring another words. I don't really like where it is going.
PS. Excuse me, is name Dwight Lives Matter is offencive in your opinion?
-
I remember when I started playing a killer. First games was pretty fair, I was getting survivors of my own skill. We all were noobs. When I got to rank 15 I met good teams more fequently. They felt like they 10 ranks above me. Seems like there is a layer of survivors that don't belong on their ranks and they only trolling newer players. Once they get killer of their own skill they got stomped bacause they used to play against weaker opponents. I've seen videos of high rank killer get to rank 15 and get this cocky survivors that confident they get another noob and they all got destroyed so hard. Survivors like this can't troll at higher ranks, so they smurf back and give hell to killers like you.
When you get better and get to higher ranks you will get less toxicity. Their bs techniques only work against unaware killers. Once you learn how to avoid it, you will get to levels where no one doing an attempt to ######### with killer and actually playing to survive. Unless they accidently get bad performing killer in their lobby once again.
So what I trying to say. Learn some tips to counter their jukes and mindgames. I can give you some basic tips if you want.
And most importanty don't be offended by teabagging and clicking. It is not really bad manners, it is just their stupid funny noises they make to get your attention. Report if they get too much toxic in post game chat. You can punish them in-game but never be rude in post game chat. We all just playing a game here and trying to have fun, no need to be rude no matter what happen in the match.

I'm a killer and I don't tunnel but survivors sometimes blame me tunneling for some reason. Tunneling is when you chase and hook one guy until he dies ignoring everyone else. I always chase someone else after hooking and I always get 4 stacks of bbq before someone is dead.
I always switch targets if I see someone repair a gen or selfcaring in my range. If this was a guy who was recently unhooked it doesn't mean I tunnel him. Should I ignore his careless just becase he was on hook 30 seconds ago?
Only time I may tunnel on purpose is when unhooked guy jump into a locker with ds. He think he is smart but he is saving my time chasing him and picking him up. I consider this act as he asking to be tunneled. So I eat his ds and if he is still nearby I give him attention he wants. It is actually not frequent strategy from survivors these days. Looks like they learning.
-
She is hard to master. And she doesn't need to be easier. Dead by daylight includes killers for every type of player. She is for players who like to play in hard mode. If you make Nurse easier you just insult player base that like playing Nurse at her current state.
If you want to learn Nurse play her more. If you want easy games find a killer that suits you.
-
I'm a yellow ping Huntress. I've noticed I missing hatchets little more often but it doesn't seem unfair. I just aim better and hits go normally. Rarely I have seen survivors falling little bit behind the wall after my hatchet but not as far as before. You have to keep in mind both killer and survivor have latency so it's pretty much fair. Server hit validation works well. My internet is good and stable, I never lose packages, only issue I live far from servers. And devs said that players with good connection not gonna notice any changes. Conclusion: I'm pretty happy with recent test.
-
My steam profile filled with complains about me tunneling. But I never tunnel. At least not on purpose. Most of the time they blame me tunneling because they run into my face after hook and expect me to ignore them. Or they just don't see me chasing and hooking other survivors and only remember times when I chase them. Also it's rarely someone comment my profile when I play fair. I always play fair but it is normal, no need to talk about it. But when something gone wrong they write down everything they want. So this is not good idea to judge people by their profiles.
-
It is still live for next 3 hours. I didn't played yesterday unfortunately. I really need to test it.
-
Good. I never used Undying+Ruin combo as killer. Hope to see more people like you in the fog.
-
My opinion is most unpopular apparently but I hate to play against Trapper. When I play vs trapper I'm a walking beartrap magnet. Trapper only has 5-6 traps and I always find them hard way. I hate to fear of walking and running.
-
I personnaly think Deathslinger is a B or C tier killer and he doesn't need any rework at the moment. He got too much weaknesses. He can't pressure more than one survivor. He is too slow to control gens. He is only good for chasing one survivor in open area. And I don't know why there is so much complains about this one poor weak killer.
-
@Heartbound said:
Honestly I think a lot of problems would be solved if they gave Deathslinger a red sniper dot. It'd let people know where he's aiming and let them know if now is the time to wiggle or juke.
That won't help against quick scopes and flick shots. And I guess it would be bad for survivor anyway.
If it's only shown to survivor, that would make him nervous and juking everytime he see red dot on him. Then survivor just lose distance. Red dot from quick scope is too fast to notice on short distance. And on long distance survivor doesn't have problem juking harpoon because it has small hitbox, long travel time and loud audio clue of shot.
If red dot will be shown to killer even if he not aiming, that would help to killer to aim better. Killer doesn't need red dot while aiming because he see exact center of screen already.
-
Devs doesn't play their game as much as Otz and dbd community. Otz has more expirience seeing what is wrong with the game.
But I suspect this game is popular because of unfair things. This changes shouldn't be made in one patch. It make this game so different that huge part of community may quit because "this is not dbd I knew".
-
I picked Demo as not effective and None as too opressive.
Perhaps I'm playing wrong. Looks like it's my own fault but I can't play Demo at all. Everytime I play him I can't land a hit. It is so weird, he is regular 115 killer with good abilities but I still can't do anything to stop survivors. Missing m2 attack constantly. Teleports never stay for long. Once I use teleport survivors seal it instantly. And he has global audio clue for every single action.
When I play survivor, the only killer i'm affraid is a good Trapper because he gives me fear of running and walking. He makes me nervous but he doesn't need a nerf so I picked none.

It's not the biggest problem, unless killers start to camp totems. Either way, I am hearing arguments that those other perks should be buffed, instead of Undying nerfed. The issue is that they need to make sure they BALANCE the perks, or no matter what they do, Undying will be picked over the others because of its overall benefit. Nerf some, buff others.
Killer that camp totems is biggest present to your team. Why would you want cleanse then? Just do the gens while he camping totems.
-
Every perk should have effect even if you bring only this perk alone. Of course Undying is good for its synergy but side effect is necessary. Also it isn't so bad for survivors get their aura revealed for couple of seconds. Just cleanse when killer is busy chasing or picking up another survivor and he never notice you there.
Only exception come to mind is Open-handed from Ace. This bad designed perk only work in synergy. Also Ace doesn't even have any aura reading perks to make synergy when you run Adept Ace build.
-
It can't be every single killer tunneling. It is just impossible.
When I play survivor, I get tunneled once in 10 games.
When I play killer, I don't tunnel, but survivors sometimes blame me tunneling. I don't mind it.
I guess you don't really know what tunneling means. Tunneling is when killer focus on one single survivor until he die. Focus ignoring gens and another survivors. Sometimes it is your teammate's fault because he unhook you and dissapear in the fog left you injured. So when killer returns to the hook he only see you and only option he has is chase you. It is silly to expect Killer not chase you in this situation.
I think killer just chase you everytime he see you as he should and you mistakenly call him a tunneler. If you were healed it is not a tunneling. If you were repairing a gen it is not a tunneling. If you had time to do anything it is not a tunneling. It is usual chasing. Every single killer is chasing.
PS. Why you put it in feedback and suggestions? You not tested anything and you not suggest.
-
Not so long ago they made 3 perks appear in bloodweb after level 40 and 4 perks after level 50. I think it would be great if 4 perks appear in blood web after level 20. And 10 perks after level 50. That would reduce grind.
But best way is get rid of perk tiers I agree. Each side now have over 120 perks avialable if you have every DLC.
-
Good point actually. Never thought about that.

This works until it doesn't. On more open maps, this just means that someone sees you coming, they scatter and you don't see where they go.
Why not just not let it work against undetectable killers? None of these are even close to top tier as it is.
Yeah, right, you can't really be sneaky on open maps. But on open maps you can't be sneaky no matter if survivor has spine chill or not.
You still can look away while coming to gen if gen behind wall, fence, tall obstacles. Even when you sneak up to 8 meters closer to survivor, it means you pretty much successfully countered spine chill. Survivor got less time to react and it's good even if you not grab him from gen.

Okay, I'll explain how to achieve effective pressure...
Close your mouth and nose. Tense your stomach muscles (do you have some?). Now, the important part. If you farted, than the pressure was effective. If you didn't, than it was ineffective and you need to tense your stomach muscles more (some exercise may be required to gain muscle mass). Now, go practice.
p.s. injuring both is more effective.
Farted on first try, thank you so much!

It's not whataboutism. It's a matter of priorities. Rather than working on something as subjective and nebulous as 'facecamping' - there are so many other issues that could be worked on.
This right here is the toxic little loop that exists right now where essentially, killers are always expected to pay the price for the fun of survivors.
If you suspect spine chill, just look away from the gen while approaching. Not a problem for a stealth killer. If he notice you anyway, that means he would notice you even without spine chill. But spine chill users often rely on their perk more than looking around so this counterplay may help.

Clearly you haven't played much at rank 1 if you think facecamping killers only stay at low ranks lmao.
I'm playing on red ranks and I don't see facecampers at all. I see them patroling or coming back to hook, but this is not a facecamping.
-
Run Kindred. It's should be a signal for your teammates to do gens. You will probably die, but other 3 survivors get out easily if they not stupid to try to save you. You can be saved with Borrowed time but Killer just get another survivor in exchange and keep facecamping. Or he may try to tunnel you. Both scenarios are not good for your team.
If he played normally and facecamp only after gens done you can't really blame him. He doesn't need to check gens anymore and checking gates while everyone healthy without noed is a losing guaranteed 1k.
Anyway facecamper is a rare type of killer because he always lose and stay on low ranks.
-
I don't understand why this add-on reveals aura constantly, not just when you activate key. Any other key aura revealing add-on works only when you activate key. Key have all survivor's revealing add-on, killer revealing add-on. I understand how broken it would be if this add-ons worked like wedding ring. But why wedding ring should work different? Is that a mistake?
-
Devs changed Executioner which was released after Deathslinger. I think it gives confidence that Deathslinger not gonna be reworked soon. His power is not that great. He still have to hit survivor twice. Good survivor may dodge harpoon at long range. He is slow and his power doesn't even justify his speed. Zoning is situational because it's only works in open area. His power is useless at the safe loops.
Deathslinger can't make a threat to multiple survivors no matter how good player is. If he find all 4 survivors in one place he can injure one, harpoon another, and while he dealing with one survivor, other three is already doing three different gens. He has no tools to make fast pressure. Slow mobility and time consuming reload doesn't help against more than one survivor.
In my opinion Deathslinger doesn't need a rework. At least not yet.
-
Entity equilize killers' powers. So Hag and Pig might carry Jane Romero and walk with same speed as Oni. Also every killer have to do 2 hits with m1 weapon to make non lethal knock down.
I'm not familiar with Hulk's lore but I know he is ridiculously strong. And outside of Entity's realm he would probably easily win even if Oni was much stronger.
-
My personal record is 39
-
Don't use speed add-ons. Oni is already fast and making him faster may cause you losing control. And I love that you can control his movement with A and D keys, it's so different from Hillbilly. You can run through the whole map without smash into wall.
Don't use your power in tight loops. Use your power everytime you see someone in 24 meters from you if it's ready. Even if survivor is injured. You may pick up him and save the rest of your power or you may find someone else with Infectious Fright and down multiple survivors.
There is only way I know how to counter good Oni - predrop pallets at the match start and not give you make first hit.
When you hit healthy survivor you gain almost half of your power. Hit 2 healthy survivors to gain whole power.
-
Survivors always saying: Just pressure gens!
And now when killer can bring pressure gens build you suddenly begging for it to nerf.
-
It won't work if devs give immunity from penalties to fog whisperers. Yes, everyone has no doubt that fog whisperers not gonna abuse their immunity. But then hackers might just focus on random streamers with 10-15 viewers. And this problem may take larger scale.

I bet you're usually wrong when you assume things about strangers. Out of my 4 years of playing, I can confidently say I run into cruddy games 4-5 times daily. I started on pc and it wasn't too bad, other than the hackers. But now I'm on console and the amount of sweaty try hards, the moris, the tunneling and camping, the teaming with killers, the dc'ers, and the constant disrespectful rude and insulting messages you get almost each round - yeah I encounter it a lot. And I like to think I play rather fairly.
Your 10% is completely incorrect and if you genuinely think that, you are ignorant to the fact.
I play for 2+ years and i've got 2100+ hours on steam. And the difference is I don't consider toxic such things like camping, tunneling, slugging, mori, keys, SWF, any perks including OoO, taeabaging, clicking, noding, pointing, farming.
Teaming with killer is toxic, but I've seen it only once long ago. When someone talking bs in post game chat is not really toxic. Most of the time they are just upset they lose. I'm losing games quite often and I rarely, like really rarely, see someone say gg ez baby killer in post game chat. Sandbaging is toxic but that kind of thing is also rare and I can see the difference between intentional bodyblock and bodyblock by confused survivor.
As killer I never use red or green mori. I don't camp or tunnel on purpose but I often see complains that I camped or tunneled someone. I don't mind it. As survivor I never teabag or click flashlight. At the end of the match I always say gg no matter what was the result.
And I don't expect you agree with me. There is a lot of people like you, that think this community is rotten toxic. So my point there is less that 10% of community is naturally toxic. Let's say it's my unpopular opinion.
-
I would pick Doc first. My favorite build on Doc is Thana, Sloppy, Coulrophobia, Distressing. It is not meta build and not guarantee you get 4k often but I like this build.
-
I bet you don't get games like this often. Don't judge whole community by one unlucky match. I've seen a lot of toxic players but in my opinion there is less than 10% such players. Most of the time they playing as they can and saying gg or nothing after match. You think community is toxic because cases like this get better remembered than normal game.
Also I think you better choose some chilling game if you want to relax after stressful day. Like Witness or some different chill indie for example. Just an advice.
-
Tunneling is a way for 115% killers. Hag is 110, she can't chase whoever she wants. She can only rely on someone step into her trap. She can't tunnel on purpose with this conditions.
She doesn't camp as the other killers. She always away from hook so you have to plan saving little earlier than always because you need time to crouch under hook.
How can Hag be boring? She gives you a fear of running and walking. Her traps jumscare you. How can you be bored by this? Unfun, maybe, but not boring.
