  • Most of the time I see TTV players, their stream is offline.

  • I got one toxic streamer as teammate once, don't remember name. He was making fun of my steam profile. That made me angry but I tried to not think about it. And in game he suicided on first hook. On Haddonfield, most survivor sided map in the game. That pissed me off even more. I checked his previous matches and he was sandbagging teammates at every part of the stream I chose. He was worse than Ochido back in a day. So I reported him.

I was just thinking about this!

Essentially, make the game darker and reduce terror radius on killers. To compensate, provide survivors with temporary invulnerability baseline while unhooking/after being unhooked before 3 gens are down.

I don't know about Invulnerability. It will bring confidence which is opposite of scary.

  • It helps if there is windows nearby or if it's end game and you picked up in front of opened gates. But if you downed in opened area you pretty much gonna down again quickly. This perk became more situational.

    1: make game more scary

2: add a game health chapter (fix bugs and balance)

3: give more killers rework, like leatherface and hillbilly.

It is not scary since we know what's going on. If we remove red stain and terror radius it's gonna be scary for first couple of hours but then it just become annoying. Also jumpscares could make this game scary but this is cheap way and it become annoying as stepping into hag's trap. Add random creepy designed ghosts in fog may help but we gonna get used to it eventually. Make game darker gonna help to blend more than make it scary. It would be legit if darkness was dangerous like if you hide too much entity will slow you down for 30 sec and this debuff also go off if killer hit you. But at current state it just would help to survivors.

What is your suggestion to make game scary exactly?

    1. Bring back Pig's roar spammng in ambush mode.
    2. Remove bloodpoint cap
    3. Temporary ban those who suicide on first hook. This guys don't realise they are exhausted and they need a cooldown unti they ready to play without ruining game to everyone else.
  • I remember him as one shot killer. Also does entity capable to abduct artifical creature without soul?

well i tried out pop bbq sloppy and brutal but just got an entity displeased 2k FeelsBadMan

Change brutal to monitor. It's really good on Myers. And I would also try nurse's calling instead of sloppy or pop.

  • Never teabag at exit gates. But I stay at the exit gates right next to escape line to make sure killer has noed to give this information to others. If I know killer have no noed I stay near exit gate in case teammates need my bodyblock.

  • Streamer Scott Jund said that good Deathslinger has no counterplay. And if survivor managed to juke his power it is not because survivor is good but because killer made a mistake. This is all I know.

its not. My point the amount of shards you need for getting all the perks you would usually need at red ranks is extraordinary.BBQ? paywall. Discord? 9k shards. Corrupt? 9k shards. Undying? 9k shards. Pop? 9k shards. Do you see my point. one devotion (1-100) only gives you 25k meaning unless you bought the dlc most of those perks you ain't getting until later. and thats my issue. I like call of duty because i do not feel like i need to buy something to win in the game or spend crazy hours grinding for something. Even if i wanted to level a weapon to max at least the gameplay isn't as aggravating as this game. Its way too grindy and way too aggravating. But thats not what i asked. I asked for tips and answers to my question. Anything else is off topic for this thread

Hating to grind is a problem here. I see why you hate it. Not everyone likes it because it feels like you making slow progress when you playing it feels like eternity. But when you get your 9000 shards to unlock a character it feels like an achievement. It feels great. You finally get what you want. 1M BP is just enough to upgrade character to level 38-40 to get all the teachables.

I'm personally ok with grind in dbd because I like dbd gameplay. I'm just playing and shards coming by itself.

If you don't like to play without certain perks, perks not gonna help you to enjoy the gameplay. When you get all the perks you will find that almost every perk is counterable by smart survivors and not guarantee you win. And then you quit this game frustrated for wasted time.

Let me explain. I do not have 24 hours every day to dedicate to this game. Along with the fact that its aggravating as hell decreases my free time for it even more. Currently i have about 4200 shards and have gotten about 20k over the time i played this game. Which it took me about 500 matches to get to that point. Thats a lot. And considering i have other things in my life besides this game and the fact i play some other games doesn't help here. This is my point, i do not want to have to spend a ######### ton of hours in this game or use cash to stand a chance in this game. Why am i even playing you ask? I already have stated but its because of pride and hardheadedness. I feel like ######### if i stop playing because i feel like a failure. So i come back and experience frustrating match after frustrating match after frustrating match for maybe one semi chill game. Thats why i play and thats the dilemma i made this entire thread for.

No one have 24 hours to dedicate this game. I play 1-2 hours a day at best. When I bored I may try different killer or change side. And I often make a big break from game for days and weeks until new challenges or chapter released.

If this is too much time for you maybe it is not your type of game.

like i pointed out in the original post, that would require me to have 9000 shards or use money, which is kinda pay to win. also not everyone has the time nor money to go get those perks.

It's play to win. All of this perks are unlockable or free. So if you don't want to spend time playing game why are you even playing?

  • A. Myers can be efficient without corrupt. I played yesterday on Mother's Dwelling as Myers and I got 4k at red ranks without any slow down perks. Use his power. For using his power you better have more detection perks in your build. Discordance helps to find multiple survivors on gens. Monitor and Abuse helps to be sneaky. Whispers help to not waste time searching in areas without survivors.

    B. Community is fine. You just met some stupid people. Just don't be toxic yourself. If you will be toxic some other person will see this and start thinking the whole community is toxic. Like it happen to you.

С. This should be your own decision.

  • It doesn't seem imposible to replace mask textures in certain scenarios.

  • Sometimes I play 1-2 matches, sometimes 10-12 matches. If it's weekend I can play up to 4-5 hours.

  • You've got to be extremely unlucky. I see Freddy only in 1 out of 15 games when I play survivor.

  • Freddy was beaten by bunch of kids in every movie. Why would batman struggle with him?

  • Opinions about this skin is strongly separated. And both sides are understandable.

Some people want to see her like on concept. Shiny clothes and thongs out. It looks great for sure.

Some people don't want see her out of character. They don't mind about sexy characters but only if it's not conflcts character's lore.

  • It's not hard to say gg at the end of the match. I don't see any time wasting there.

Usually i'm first who send gg and I like when other players gg back.

Dbd community is not that bad. And if we keep good manners in post game chat is always good.

  • No as far as I know. It would be difficult to sale because new chapter release every 3 months. So such bundle would be more expensive with every new chapter. And if you buy it once you would get every new chapter for free like it's a season pass. It doesn't seems possible because DBD is not a type of game with 5 planned episodes.

  • DS is useless against well-performing killers. Hard tunnelers doesn't care about DS. They will eat it and tunnel you anyway. If you lose because of DS that means you not so well-performing.

As killer when survivor farm someone and I downed unhooked survivor quickly I most of the time pick him up to eat DS just to give him his second chance. If he have no DS or missed skillcheck, he goes back to the hook. Shame the unpatient rescuer.

  • Looks like Technician was shadow-buffed.

  • What if I have good and stable ethernet connection with no packet loss with no vpn but I live far from servers and my ping is yellow. This is not my fault. What can I do to you? Move closer? I don't have advantage because I hit you where you are on my screen. It is you have disadvantage.

  • It's a bug. You can't change to 1-3 tome archives when you coming after match. But if you go to compendium right after game launch you can access to older entrys.

  • It's sucks when survivors do separate gens. My advice is when you chase someone and you notice someone repairing gen - drop the chase and scare him off. Don't break the gen if someone nearby, it's a waste of time. They touch the gen in no time and gain a distance while you trying to brake it. You better injure someone than break the gen. Take more effort to protect good gens in the middle and good gens that appear close to each other. Give up on gens that is hardly reachable. Don't bother much about gens on far side of the map or gens on 2nd floors and basements. Protect them if you have opportunity but keep in mind this gens worth less for you. Of course at the end of the match every gen is worth protecting.

  • After rift is closed you can't get this items anymore. But I heard cosmetics from the old rifts should appear in the store eventually. No date announced. Charms from old rifts most likely never gonna be obtainable.

  • Any loop you may run without exhaustion. Most survivors extend time of looping with Dead hard but it not nessessary. If pallets are broken T-L wall you can use without pallet but not for long against good killers. The secret of good chase is change the tile everytime you reach the point when killer is far from you in the current tile. While he looking for you in this tile you have time to gain distance untill he realised you leave. But if there is no pallet the safety of tile is minimal and it's harder to mindgame because killer just gonna bloodlust you. It sucks when your teammates camp pallets and waste it without trying to run a round.

So when you have no pallets you can only rely on windows and distance. Holding W sometimes waste more killer's time than looping around one tile.

  • If you not good at chases you may change perks and playstyle to stealth. Spine chill, Iron will, Urban evasion, Quick and quiet.

Of course sometimes killer gonna chase you, but stealth playstyle often will help you to avoid chases sometimes.

This is a bug that has been reported a lot since the new patch and I don't know if today's hotfix has fixed that.

I'm aware about bug but that was different. You may solve the bug by drop survivor and pick up again. I couldn't drop her and I couldn't move. The rest of survivors swarm around and blind me, it didn't cause escape from grasp. They even saboed the hook and i still stuck.

  • I played as killer yesterday. There was a Lisa who run no mither + soulguard to prevent slugging. When I tried to hook her i stuck in hooking animation. I couldn't hook her, I couldn't drop her. Only way to punish this kind of scum is slugging but she runs anti-slug combo. Obviously she turn on lags on purpose. I reported her.

  • I don't understand what is everybody talking about. Community is fine in my opinion. I have seen toxic behavior back when Ochido was popular dbd player. But when he got banned on every platform I haven't seen this much of toxicity anymore. Maybe because since then I got to red ranks or maybe because I play in wholesome region. But it's really rare to see someone going toxic in post game chat. It happens but mostly not because this person is toxic but because he mad about something he consider unfair.

And I should say that t-bagging, clicking, pointing, constant blinding doesn't trigger me at all. I don't do most of that but I also don't think it's toxic. In-game toxicity is sandbagging or intentional bodyblocking of teammates. And I can't say I see this much.

  • I was struggling with adept because I was trying to use his power everytime I see survivor. So I kept failing chases in tight loops.

Then I realised how his power makes him strong. He is good for covering distances. So I strated to use his power for searching survivors and when distance is short I could play like normal m1 killer. Breaking a pallet is not a wasting time for this killer. Once he break a pallet he can rush and hit survivor before he managed to reach next tile. Also his fatigue is almost instant. So if smart survivor hide behind tree he still in danger because blight just qickly cancel his power and hit him normally. His 10 seconds power recovery (or even less) much faster than spirit's. It's makes him always ready for battle.

Good Blight is a crazy maniac who doesn't let survivors to take a breath.

But things might change after terror radius is back.

  • Enduring doesn't decrease ds stun time anyway.

Thats fair, I could see why people don't like it. The doctor has had quite the history of being trapped in places so I feel like the Entity taking away his tools would do enough to realistically trap him. I don't think they'd necessarily need to grab the doctor either, a companion could be cool too. Sorry for nerding out.

I guess it's might be possible. Don't know for sure but there should be some monsters and people in the show that would fit into dbd.

  • I don't really like this show. And even if I liked, not sure if this alien time lord (if i'm not mistaken) could be trapped in entity's realm.

  • Facing survivor helps to Hag significantly even if survivor run over the wall.

I haven't tried Blight yet, but I know his power a little bit different. Facing survivor who actually triggered the trap it's understandable. But facing survivor you chase and survivor who closer to you, it's not nessessary survivor you aim.

  • It also can be healed by adrenaline. Looks like it's little bit of both.

  • They all seem straight to me, idk. Nea might be a lesbian.

  • Fun perks are Adam's Diversion, Zarina's Red Herring and Jane's Head On. Good with Meg's Quick and Quiet.

  • Now it's survivors turn to be fat shamed.

  • I almost believed it's christmas time already.

Hmmmm i appreciate the lengthy response bro. But to be honest idk man, i was playing with a friend and 2 randoms. Once he hit me, it seemed as if every one else as hit in the next like 20 seconds. And everything just snowballed and avelanched after that. Its like no gen progress can get done at that point, he won already right there.Especially with the build i mentioned. And who knows what add ons hes running.

I guess your problem is you were often really close to your teammates. Legion's power is useless if survivors decide to separate for long distace and try to keep outside his terror radius when he chasing someone. So many times I lose as Legion when I didn't see anyone within feral frenzy range after hit. Only thing you can do as legion if your killer instinct doesn't show other survivors is chase the guy you hit. In that case you just wasted huge time just to injure one. And even if you see other survivors with killer instinct, they most of the time so far away that there is almost no point to run there. This is how survivors counterplay legion.

  • As you said doing a gen is Almost suicide. So there is a chance to do a gen and make killer close a hatch. Open gates 1v1 is really hard but sometimes it happens. It's a pretty much killer sided situation. But he kinda deserve it if he managed to kill 3 survivors.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/189957/is-anyone-else-unable-to-hook-survivors-randomly

Ive had this happeb before where you get to the hook and it doesnt give you the prompt and your just kind of swaying back and forth with the survivor on your shoulder.

Thankfully i usually always get the hook its just laggy or something. Doesnt happen often but i have had it happen before.

I think it's different. I have seen survivors that turn on lags on purpose to escape grasp or to change location.

With this new patch killers sometimes expirience something weird. They trying to hook and the glitch of animation stucked rapidly for 2 seconds. And then when killer step back a little he hook normally.

  • I played survivor yesterday and I noticed Blight sometimes expirience weird lags while trying to hook.

  • It has 8 gb size because it includes a lot of new hq textures.

  • Any killer has no terror radius at the moment.

  • I played several games as survivor. First impression on Blight he has no terror radius. But then I realised it's a bug and any killer has no heartbeat sound.
