I thought that Hatch spawns at start of the match and I dropped the game to find it and open with a green key.
-
I used to think that Cannibal is strongest killer in the game. And I unironicaly thought that he is Pay to Win killer.
-
That would make stream sniping killers easier.
-
I was wondering about it myself. A lot of threads begins with "I'm so tired being high mmr fix your game pls".
Sometimes I think there is no MMR and we still playing by old ranking system. As killer I win several games with 4k and then I lose several games horribly. Almost no inbetween results. Pretty same situation for survivor.

G-Good events?
We got a recycle of the year 4 anniversary and PUMPKIN SMASHIG for Halloween this year, with pity "Collective" unlockable Cosmetics and NADA respectively in each!
BHVR have disappointed me time and time again with their false promises, lies, and broken releases.
If they do a Christmas event, it would be the same thing as the Anniversary/Halloween "events", if you could even call them that.
Looks like we had very different expectations from BHVR. You expected another game mode and tons of new content. I expected they forget about halloween again. So I consider recent event was success.
And I'm pretty satisfied if next event will recieve at least same amount of effort from dev team.

Devs tried to make server validation for hatchets when dbd tested dedicated servers. It caused hatchets could one shot healthy survivors. All community was confused. We thought devs secretly implemented headshots for Huntress.
But for some reason it was a bug that register successful hits twice sometimes.
-
I can't complete one survivor challenge. Escape as Elodie with Ultra Rare item.
I plunder every ######### chest twice and I never get item with quality more than very rare. It's so annoying.
I tried to bring ultra rare item at start but I failed to escape. So now I need to prestige Elodie to find more ultra rare items. But I don't want to spend bloodpoints on her for now.
-
Devs said that they want to focus only on 2 holidays - Halloween and Lunar New Year (or anniversary I don't remember), because events are very time consuming. Seems like they found the way to make good events in time. I like the idea of making little simple archives for events + some simple mechanic like crushing pumpkins or snowmen.
-
When you start the game you only have 5 killers and 7 survivors at level 1. You have to play without bbq and bp offerings. You have to figure that there is some tutorial, daily rituals and archives to get some boost for bloodpoints. Then you need to discover teachable perks and slowly grind the way to unlock good ones. Buy or unlock characters and grind their bloodwebs to unlock teachables. And then grind this teachables on characters you like.
As new player you need to play hundreds of hours to start the game on equal conditions with veterans. Those who stand this grind will stay. But imagine how much players find this grind is unbearable at start. They probably never come back to this game.
I kind of understand the point of grind. Devs probably want you to play the characters and not ignore them while you level them up. For example new character with interesting perks released and only way to test his perks is play him. Later you can unlock this perks on your main character. If you could level up faster you would not try out this character.
-
Same. I hate playing survivor rituals. Break hooks, escape as character, run for 180 seconds. It's annoying and it not worth said reward. Survivors earnings very little. I prefer Killer rituals to earn bloodpoints while earning bloodpoints.
I see the solution. We have united challenges in archives. Break or Drop 20 pallets. So rituals should be made same way. For example Chase or Run for 180 seconds. Use power as certain killer or Heal teammates as certain survivor. Sacrifice as killer or Save as survivor. Mori as killer or Escape as survivor. Break or Repair gens. Hook as killer or Break hook as survivor.
-
When I started playing dbd I was a survivor main, so when I switched to main killer I avoid to use noed. I guess it's respect for survivors. I'm not an avenger for my survivor career. As killer I play as I would want to be treated in my survivor matches.
When I play survivor I expect killers could use some late game perks as noed or Blood Warden. So if someone downed and facecamped (as you say it happens EVERY SINGLE TIME) you can just find hex and attempt rescue. If you are facecamped one, you only have to hope for your teammates.
Noed is annoying but it has its own downsides. Killer sacrifice 1 perk slot for endgame. It means you have an easier time during the game. Noed is a hex perk so it could be broken before or during endgame. If there all survivors remain alive when noed activated you can deal with it.
Perks help to cover your weakness. If noed is your weak spot as survivor you can use at least one anti-totem perk. Small game is the best one in my opinion.

Hag's walking animation always make me smile. And little Victor is also amusing.

It never occurred to me to try Blood Favor as Huntress, given she can score hits at a lot of pallets even if they are dropped. But I guess it would really help on some of those short loops the Huntress really struggles on with her slow movement.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2631853#Comment_2631853
Yeah Whispers is so useful on her. Should try Bitter Murmur, I think it is one of the best perks for getting long range hits the Survivors don't expect, and is sometimes absolutely clutch for useful info
I tried Bitter Murmur. It's alright but I can't rely on this perk. It works up to 5 times and sometimes you can make sick unexpected shots with it. But problem is gens often pop when I'm extremely busy with chasing, carying survivor or reloading hatchets.
Another good perk is I'm All Ears. This perk is very good but long ass cooldown made me discard this option. It's frustrating when you down survivor while he vaults and this perk reveals aura of a slug. And you have to wait another minute to use it again.
Huntresses often use Iron Maiden for faster reload. But I don't like this perk oh her. Offered time save absolutely not worth a perk slot and expose status effect is not good on 110 killer. Anyway survivors rarely use lockers against Huntress because you never know when she decide to reload.
I don't recomend any M1 perks on Huntress because she more like M2 killer. NOED can compensate some amount of speed but her hatchets are already deadly weapon so One Hit perks also not effective for her in my opinion.
I haven't try Lethal Persuer but I think Whispers and Discordance are better options to find survivors at match start. Whispers also help during the match and extremely helpful to find last survivor.

That's explains everything. Yesterday I played as killer and one survivor in post game chat said Hello to my home town. I was shocked a little.
I can't use vpn because I live far away from servers and I have to fight for every point of my ping to make game comfortable for me and my opponents.
Vpn will make my ping worse and switching steam settings probably make connection slower.
I wish BHVR or Amazon open servers somewhere in East Europe.
-
I have hard time learning Claudette. She can vault same speed as survivors and drop pallets, but she is 4.0 killer so I can't reach survivors when they hold W.
She don't have terror radius, so she can sneak up to survivors. Most of the time survivors don't even run away from me which is good.
But the fact that I can't hit and hook survivors make Claudette worst killer in game.
-
I can play with any perks on Huntress because I like her power but I get used to one build.
Whispers, Nurse's Calling, Discordance, BBQ
4 detection perks, you can run but you can't hide. I noticed that if I constantly know where survivors are, I don't need any gen slowdown. I don't even waste time on kicking gens as Huntress.
She is my all time favorite killer.
-
My first tier list ever.
-
I'm also a killer main but I think I know answer for number 3.
When survivor is about to get hit they sometimes hop into a locker to avoid hit. It may prolong chase for couple of seconds but if unexpirienced killer got confused by this action it may give enough time to reach the vault nearby.
Killer that have 300+ hours in game would react and press space instead of m1.
-
I was playing Clown on Midwich and survivors DC after few chases. And in postgame chat they blamed matchmaking for putting them against red grade killer. I can't even say they were bad. They did some gens and their looping was pretty average. I consider myself as average killer especially as Clown on Midwich. If they stay it still would be a fair match.
Majority of players still think that grades are used for matchmaking.
-
CrossPlay apparently.
-
I'm glad survivors use CoH without Shadowstep.
But I concern that when there will be added more boons survivors will go crazy with boon combos.
-
You will make it. Nemesis is fun killer. I like to play m2 only Nemesis. He is like short range Huntress + 2 zombie buddies. It means little patience with charged tentacle and hit is pretty much guaranteed. Once you get tier 2, pallets not a problem anymore. Windows are not safe from start. Zombies often stuck but sometimes they give a good info and harass survivors from gens.
Nemesis is my second favorite killer after Huntress.
-
I made it when I found afk Felix. I used the opportunity because it was on RCPD. I would never made it fair way on this map.
But on open maps I feel like it's not that hard challenge.
-
I like warm colors over cold.
-
There is 25 killers. And every player can play different with every killer. For example I'm a chill m2 Hillbilly playing for fun. I can 4k early if i'm lucky or ######### it up with 3 hooks total. But as Doctor I'm a ######### sadist with annoying healing slowdown meme build. You sure can survive but you probably not gonna have a good time vs me. And as Nurse I'm an absolute harmless baby.
Also as killer you can play different depending on situation. For example if I catch 4 survivors swarming injured around the hook I will take this opportunity to down them all at once. Survivors probably not even realise that I'm normally not a camper and I don't slug for 4k. It was their fault they got into this situation.

Context: I was banned 3 years ago on DBD. I very much regret what I did and my friends have been asking me to play with them. If i were to permanently remove my game from my steam library and buy DBD a second time on the same account again, will I still be banned?
I guess it will still be banned on same account. And I also not sure if you can remove non-f2p game from account.
But on second account it may work (not sure). Hovever I remember a case when a guy was banned even on another platform in a while. But he probably just broke the rules second time.
-
I did hate rank resets. I never understand the point of it. And I stopped caring about ranks after I get rank 1 achievements.
Now ranks converted to grades and it's not used for matchmaking. Higher grade gives higher reward on reset. Rewards are humble but it's better than nothing.

This is right, but good killers are not super few, and many good killers say that the killers are too weak now. I don't play DBD much, probably played 2000h. 900h for survivors, 1100h for killers, but I feel The killer has been weakened in recent versions
I have about same time in game as you. 2600 total. I guess 1000 on survivors and 1600 on killer.
I'm absolute awful on certain killers like Nurse, Blight, Piramyd Head and some else. I just don't know how to use their power effectively.
But overal I'm not a bad killer. I'm good with most killers but sumetimes I lose even if I feel like I didn't make mistakes.
We can't win every game. Sometimes we just need to accept lose. Even best killers in game don't have 100% winrate. And best survivors with best items on most convinient maps sometimes die. This game gives a chance to win to every side pretty much equally.
If you lose half of your games it's normal. If you lose more, you probably need to learn something that you missing.
-
When you play as survivor vs good killers you notice that is not killers weak. It's just a lack of expirience.
-
My friends when they tried the game weren't invested into learning what perks do. They just wanted to start the game and have equal power as leveled players. And they also were disgusted by outdated graphics for some reason.
-
If you loop a camper around hooked survivor, he will slug you for 4k.
-
MMR is hidden for a reason to not encourage sweaty playstyle. Because if you don't know what your current mmr number you don't work hard to gain higher number.
But for some reason I keep seeing that people on the forum playing to win even if it's going harder and harder instead of play in comfortable style with any killers in comfortable niche.
-
Well, if killer didn't bodyblock you as last survivor before endgame begins, it's not bannable.
There is nothing in the game encourage killer to pretend farming and then kill survivors. So I don't know how you want to deal with this. You can just lose your trust and don't fall for this to next farming killer.
-
I had similar issue.
You need to wait for animation end.
EDIT. I didn't read whole post, sorry.

Because many Americans dont know that other countries exist.
Fair enough.
-
I would prefer if it saved your current perk build on reset. Or set all your unlocked perks to tier 1.
-
Old DS was protecting for 1 minute, same as after nerf. So how would it protect you if you being tunneled for 5 minutes?
If you actually tunneled it protects you basicly on the same level as before. If you not chased off hook and you have time to heal, repair, save or cleanse, it means you are not tunneled anymore.
-
I searched it up and I don't get one thing. Why it called "World" series if it's exclusively American thing?
-
I have no idea what is this but I choose Astros. I like this name more than Braves.
-
So survivors would dodge my lobby because I have 2600 hours in game.
I have a lot of "-rep camper tunneler god know what else" and it's there because I don't delete it.
I don't want to set my profile to private. So you suggest me to wait hours to start the game with survivors who don't affraid or don't bother to play with expirienced killer with some negative feedback in profile.
-
Isn't vault validation already was turned on? They tweaked window hits even before pallet validation. Now window hits seem pretty fair on both sides for me.
-
Noed should be balanced by making it only work after all gens done. So killer should play with -1 perk slot before end game. And it should be a hex, so survivors could get rid of it.
Oh wait...
-
They made a good step in right direction by making hook suiside not instant. I'm fine with current system. I don't see much hook suicides in my matches currently.
-
If you missed a skillcheck you lost some amount of charges. If you didn't it's probably a bug.
-
Also Huntress has very strong Basement game. When she comeback after someone rescued from basement she just machinegun survivors down there. So at least one survivor always stay on basement hook. It's very hard to recover from basement against Huntress if she is around.
-
I had a lot of bully squads when I was new. It was 2017 and back then survivors was very inspired by Ochido - toxic dbd youtuber and streamer.
But then I get some expirience and learned their tricks and counters. And now bully squads are my favorite type of SWF. They traditionally don't do gens much and give a lot of free hits, so they die or dc pretty quickly. They are very rare in my current games though.

Dont believe I said sweaty. I think I said it forces them to play to a certain style in order to rank up. That style is camping and tunneling. That is the ######### part of this game. In the last two days I have faced maybe one killer that hasnt done those things. That makes people literally not able to play the game. Which will kill the game in a very quick time frame.
Alright, but rank up for what? What is reward for ranking up? For what reward killers do this playstyle?

Did you even read what I put? I explained it very simply. MMR has forced killers to play a certain way because of MMR works. Killers its solely getting 3-4 kills. Survs its getting out and thats it. That promotes the idea if you want to rank up you have to do w/e you can to get kills. Even OTZ says that camping and tunneling is necessary to get more kills. When you get to a certain level and that happens constantly to you its annoying. You dont get to play the game. I run the killer and then when I finally go down I get camped or tunneled out of the game. So basically played 3 mins and after that im pushed into the next game. That ######### is ruining peoples experience. It will be the death of this game. Im tired of having a debate about MMR. Its never been good for games esp for this kind of game where it was made to casual not competitive. The game has far too many factors to balance in order to be competitive. Its just another example of trying to make a game competitive so people can make tournament money. This game should be fun first and competitive second. Thats it.
I didn't get one thing. What forces killer to play the "4 hooks 4 kills" playstyle if only reward for winning is stronger opponents and nothing else.
MMR number is invisible to be proud of. You don't get any BP or XP multiplier for high MMR. So how exactly MMR forces killers to play sweaty?
-
I like to watch addon numbers go down. I wasted all offerings and addons on Huntress once. I played Huntress without addons for a while after that.
