I remember survivors complain a lot about his 1v1 potential. And with M&A he was stealth killer with easy free hits. His only strenghts are nerfed and now devs need time to see what they did. Do Deathslinger have any strong sides left?
New Deathslinger needs field testing. And then hopefully devs change something to make him stronger. Hope killers would pick him to gain that data.
I personally think with new conditions Deathslinger deserves to be 3.6m killer.
His chain can be broken by obstacles. Survivor can predrop pallet to be safe. Teammates can bodyblock if they around. He also spend some time on reeling survivor. He not able to quickscope anymore. With 32 m terror radius he is not much different from such ranged killers as Blight, Plague, Pyramid Head and Nemesis.
Even lorewise his leg prothesis can help move faster because of how good engineer he is.
-
You can also keep some amount of iridescent shards to spend it in shrine of secrets on PTB. Shards won't decrease in live version.
-
It will divide playerbase which is already not that big. So queue times probably become awful on both sides in both modes.
And competitive mode seems pretty casual to me already. It depends how seriously you take it.
-
Where is "no one" option?
-
I really like Third Seal. So many times I got survivors that can't find a hook and let teammate die.
Making it trigger on special attack make it worth a try on killers with opressive special attacks.
-
It's more like a tech. It's not that easy to exploit. Otz spend time to learn how to perform that kind of attack. And you need spend some time to master it and learn how to use it in certain scenarios.
For me it seems too hard to bother. I do fine with usual 90 degree turns.
-
I don't rely on addons this much. Most of the time I just use brown addons.
Does someone really want to have their MMR maxed? There absolutely no point to use best addons to play against sweatiest survivors. You don't get any rewards for that. You can't even realise that you at highest mmr because it's hidden for everyone.
Point of mmr is getting equal opponents and have comfortable games. Sweating your ass to have sweatier opponents is beyond my understanding.
-
Surge is a perk from a killer with special attack, so it should have same treatment long ago.
But it also have it's own active radius, so if Huntress down someone with distant hatchet, should it work from killer radius or hatchet radius?
-
I think it will be perks that survivors should got to find and lit dull totem into a boon. Or even convert hex totem into boon but for longer time.
Effect from boon totem should be significant. Something like entity don't block windows after 3 vaults. Or survivor can make a dropped pallet out of broken one. Or slow health regeneration while injured.
And killer will be able to just stomp boon totem in one second instead of manual cleansing.

You are correct. They buffed Trapper and improved some niche or outright useless perks which will continue to be niche or serviceable at best. Although this still deserves some kudos for the effort.
Trapper changes should have came long ago, but good for BHVR. Small but acceptable QOL changes.
Spirit change is the opposite of trapper… a HUGE, knee-jerk reaction nerf that is obviously in response to survivor complaints. Instead of simply adding an animation for when she starts phasing and testing that, they add an entire audio cue PLUS directional audio PLUS a visual cue (footstep dust).
Typical BHVR will be slow to buff a killer, but too quick to nerf multiple aspects. Case in point, Freddy. They made pretty much all but 2 of his add-ons bottom tier, made his slower when using his snare power, and correct me if I’m wrong but reduced his snare count. All he needed was a rework of his gen slowdown add-ons, but they like to overcompensate. Same goes for Billy - insta saw was a problem but then they gave him an overheat mechanic.
I actually prefer big changes like this than traditional small steps. They always can revert some of Spirit's changes if she become too weak and her pickrate go below Hillbilly.
-
For me most fun always was Huntress. You need to learn to play her though.
And recently I had a lot of fun with Nemesis using only his tentacle strike. Once you learn how to hit tentacle effectively you become unstoppable pallet breaking machine that devastating at short wall loops and pretty good at high wall loops as well. Bonus fun points when survivors accidently get hits by zombie. You can't seriousluy rely on zombies but when they help it's so much fun.
-
Didn't noticed any gameplay changes. The only thing become worse is queue times for killer.
I had a ton of fun with m2-only-Nemesis.
-
I often take break for a month between rifts. And I dropped the game for over month in the middle of tome VI because it was tedious.
-
From what I remember:
Huntress: BBQ, Whispers, Discordance, Nurse's calling
Doctor: Sloppy butcher, Distressing, Coulrophobia, Thanataphobia
Hillbilly: BBQ, Bamboozle, Enduring, Spirit Fury
Oni: BBQ, Monitor and Abuse, Enduring, Spirit Fury
Deathslinger: BBQ, Monitor and Abuse, Discordance, STBFL
Plague: BBQ, Blood Echo, Hysteria, Thanatophobia ("fine, don't cleanse" build from TheClownIsKing)
Nemesis: BBQ, Deadlock, Hex: Plaything, Discordance
Seems like I'm most reliant on chase and detection perks than gens slowdown. And Doctor is my only killer I stopped using BBQ for some reason.

More survivors than killers so it's gonna force you to go against sweats because logic lol. It just creates more sweats because mmr
Queue times for killers is currently longer than it was before SBMM. And survivors tmes become shorter. That make me think that there more killers than survivors.
But I didn't noticed increased amount of sweats. Point of SBMM is playing as you like and you will get equal opponents. It doesn't mean you need to sweat yourself. You play casually and get casual survivors. At least it works in my games.
Don't get me wrong. I play to win but I don't use full meta builds and I play killers which I don't have much expirience with. And my survivors are ok even when it's full swf party.
-
I personally not enjoy playing Nurse and Blight because it's too hard for me. And I got tired of Spirit.
I actually had a lot of fun playing Nemesis using only his Tentacle strike. I enjoy playing Trapper with padded jaws + STBFL. I absolutely love playing Huntress. I had fun times with Ghostface, even if it's often was hard as #########. Oni also one of my favorite killers I always have a good time with.
You can get good results with any killer if you enjoy gameplay.

He is only OP when chainhunt is active. Then yes, survivors can't do ######### and killer get free tracking and slowdown. Bonus points if survivors decide to play injured. God help you in that case.
But chainhunt can be easily prevented just by picking up the box. If you healthy you almost not risking solving it. Better solve it in save place with windows and pallets around. Survivos can even prevent chainhunt before it begins. So as survivor you are in full control of his ultimate ability. It means depending on survivor's playstyle Pinhead can be your angle... or yuor devil.
His portal ability is slightly better than clowns bottle if he catch you somewhere in open area. So stay around obstacles and you'll be fine. His portals more helpful in preventing actions than it helps in chase so you can basicly loop him as a regular killer. Besides his portal ability requires skill and you can also dodge it if you lucky. That often make him waste more time in chase.
-
SBMM doesn't mean you need to sweat. It means you should play as you like, and game will bring you opponents of your level. If your opponents become harder than you can handle, you will get easier opponents and game will be comfortable again.
-
It would be great if current zombies were fixed. They still often stuck in rocks and trees. I have seen gen was completed while zombie was stuck in it.
They probably should not hug walls and corners to avoid that scenarios.

There is only East America and West America. There is no server for South America.
They have or had servers in South America: Sao Paulo.

I think first tentacle strike shouldn't give speed boost.
-
I hate "playstyle" when people just give up at the first difficulties. Survivors that dc or suicide on hook, and killers that dc or go afk.
Would you call them strong?
-
This map sucks for most of my favorite killers but I don't like whole situation about Stranger Things license. And there still plenty of much worse maps in game so losing Hawkins doesn't feel good.

Only 28% think Pig needs a nerf. Another 72% think that Pig should be nerfed.
If devs bring back rapid roar spam in ambush mode I will become Pig main despite any future nerfs.

Not to be that guy, but all of them, I am a horrible survivor. I don't ever have an easy time unless they leave me alone. Rofl.
I guess Wraith is that one that makes me roll my eyes. So maybe he is the worst? It is not by much, though.
Same. If killer has more than 500 hours on account I most likely get down before first gen done.
I'm not like bad survivor. I'm always paying attention to which gens are repaired to not get into 3-gen trap. And I can give myself to killer if he tunneling teammate that have been hooked twice. But at loops I'm terrible. My biggest problem is that I'm too greedy for pallets. Always save them for later or for teammates. But when I play killer I noticed that if survivor predrop every pallet, he most likely waste enough of my time to get 3 gens done. Pallets are not worth that much as I usually think when I play survivor.

I've had disconnects which were obvious on DBD server ends especially since it said something about server issues and even then when the game knows it's a server issue it will give you a disconnect penalty.
I had those. But it's too rare to worry about. I never get more than 5 minutes penalty. Last time I lost connection was probably this spring.
-
Dbd sessions are too short to make you able to reconnect. While you reconnect you waste half of the match. By this time your team may easily lose without you. Because it's much harder and because they lose their motivation to play. If you lose connection as killer, survivors will end a match without pressure. There absolutely no reason for survivors stay in game without killer.
You really need to fix your internet. If you play by wifi you should probably connect via ethernet cable. It usually makes connection more constant.
-
I'll get chains outfit for Demo. And maybe Scoops Away for Steve but not sure yet.

Well I'd join in but I don't have demopuppy yet. I'll probably get him before it's too late though.
They going to sell it with 50% discount soon.
-
I'm planning to waste all Hawkins offerings on my killers. I hate to have unavailable offerings in inventory.
-
If I only got 3 hooks for 4 gens, that means I already lost and I wouldn't expect them do something stupid.
Honestly I would try to chase them there. Maybe get tier 3 and down some survivors for bbq stacks. I like to chase survivors more than secure one kill. Even if it means they all escape.
-
I thought their perks will become common. Like Bill's teachable perks was common on consoles when he wasn't there as a playable charachter.
It's kind of unfair to have their perks available only by random for newer players.
-
No ._.
I'm not a big fan of the series. Only Stranger Things cosmetic I'd like to buy is chains outfit for Demogorgon. He has iron collar that make him look like demo puppy.
-
In theory we will stuck at rank 20 after rank reset because we will have games equal to our skills.
-
I got one game like this recently. it's frustrating to see them hiding while killer in other side of the map. They are beginners and even with full team aura reading they have poor game sense.
I think gamers like this wouldn't save you even without Kindred.
-
I played survivor a lot and my matches was mostly fair recently. I used builds to help me with challenges. Like healing build or pallet build.
-
I am at 27. I played a lot during bloodhunt and then I took a break until now.

The main reason I don't think it's Jason is because I feel he's one of the few licenses that feels fitting for an anniversary. I don't think they'd put such a major license (at least in these days of dbd) into the middle of the year.
They will easily miss that opportunity.
Pride month was an opportunity to add Robin from Stranger things as legendary outfit because she is gay. But they added Jonathan Byers.
Greek collection was an opportunity to add white robe outfit for Jeff, so weared with crown he would look like Jesus. But they added another pants and jacket.
-
My first yellow glyph surprised me with skillcheck that I missed. On second try I figured it's a complicated skillcheck. On third try I closed the glyph but I knew it was a luck. With second yellow glyph I wasted 4 or 5 tries to close it.
Yellow glyphs are fine. But I would like its skillchecks was filled white or at least capped from bot sides. I don't like how skillchecks without white zone look. Same as Autodidact skillchecks.
-
They selling outfits that was released as complete set in rift. Cosmetics that released as 1 piece probably remain exclusive. But it's just a recolors though.
-
I used to play Huntress a lot. Now I play all other killers as much as Huntress. So it's fair to say I rotate trough all killers and I have 1 main.
-
For me it's so rare, so I would say never.
-
I tried that build on Plague that @TheClownIsKing advised. It's Hysteria, Blood Echo, Thanatophobia, Dying Light.
But I replaced Dying Light with BBQ.
This build is very strong on smaller maps, but on Ormond and Coldwind I couldn't make more than 2 kills.
This build always makes survivors want to cleanse without exceptions. But on big maps all my fountains often were inconviniently far away from me. Survivors often smart enough to not give me fountains that easy to reach. And sometimes my spray control is absolute garbage and I can't down survivor in the dead zone.
But I had several good games.
-
Only thing I dislike about this skillchecks is how they look. It's a hollow skillcheck area that uncapped on one side. That make them faint. I would prefer it was capped from both sides or filled white like hook skillchecks.
Same problem with autodidact skillchecks.
-
Meg is just playing a role of random victim. It's only weird because you know her name and her story. If it was unknown model you would probably didn't think about it.
And if it was for example Jill instead of Meg it would be frustrating for Jill fans to see their girl got killed in couple of seconds without a fight.
-
That probably what Asian players expirience tonight because bhvr kept sending me to Asian servers. For some reason I got 5 seconds queue times but my ping was stable 200+. I didn't have a chance to connect to EU servers so I had to play like this. And surprisingly I mostly did well because players were also 5-10 ranks below me.
Never used vpn and with queue algorithms like this I don't need it. I just had easy games tonight for the cost of unlucky Asian players.
My ping would probably be better if I used vpn to Europe, but I'm kinda lazy to install and configure new stuff.
-
Alright. I played one game with 200 ping and it wasn't as bad as I expected. I did 3k and Asian survivors wasn't even salty for my ######### connection.
Looks like today I play like this. Hope this problem will be solved soon. I'm not a fan of bringing inconvinience to survivors because of my ping.

@Aven_Fallen said:
Usually this happens when all Servers in your Region are full, so you will be connected to a different Server. For me, I end up with around 130 Ping at this point. And this is not me, everyone in this Trial will have around the same Ping, because they are from my Region as well.
If this happens, you should wait a few minutes and queue up again. Searching for a match immediatly again will most likely have the same result and connect you to a Server which is not even close to your location.
It started today. Yesterday it was fine. I waited 2 minutes and get closest available server.
Today I wait 5 seconds and it connects me to Korea or Japan.
They obviously tweaked queue algorithm.
-
I dodged 20 lobbies and accidently pressed ready on 200 ping game. It's gonna be a ######### show.
