Erm... Never happens the other way around that I have seen although I could see a killer doing that if provoked like the survivors being toxic
It does happen. I’ve had killers face camp me until I die then message me and tell me to “git gud” and no, I wasn’t being toxic at all. I don’t play like that.

I just want the bugs to be fixed.

Ok good to know. I never play Nurse anyway (PS4 here) so I’m in the clear. Still curious though, what’s broken about the add on?
Pretty sure it makes the nurse go super fast when she hits someone
i accidentally came across this video by CowsIAM yesterday. That’s when I first heard about it. He tests the bug out in a custom match.

I agree with you:) I'm pretty sure there will be some game in the future that will challenge there game:) and when that does happen I am leaving this game for good unless they improve :)
I’ve heard so many people say the same thing.
People go on about how the stats say the game is still going strong but people are also saying the only reason they are staying is because there is no other game like dbd out there. Stats are good now but Come the day when there is competition then dbd is going to be in big trouble. I’ve only ever seen pc stats.
I’m also curious of the stats for console as I know a lot of people who have already stopped playing dbd on there. It’s becoming noticeable. Even my experience as killer, my wait times to get a lobby has been 10-15 minutes Pretty much every game although that was just yesterday as I don’t usually play killer so can’t talk about any other day.
Project resistance gets released April 3rd. That’s the day I’ll be leaving dbd.

First of all I love this game and I reckon a lot of cool changes were made like dedicated servers, instaheals nerf and toolboxes rework, etc. So now I want to suggest the next changes :
Mori's and Key's
The green mori and the ebony are too strong right now and make the game really unhealthy. I see most of the killers with mori just waiting for the unhook to mori the survivor on the spot. Even if the killer doesnt pip, it still ruin the other players fun. So my suggestion is to make that the mori only become active after a fixed number of hooks and you must hook the survivor once to mori him.
The other thing is the keys. I think they're fine but needs a little bit more of counterplay. Make a animation of a few seconds of the survivor unlocking it so the killer can hit him and cancel the action.
Killers addons rework
Myers is the best of example of cool addons in this game. I think the other killers need addons like his (that changes the playstyle with advantages and disadvantages. And also, buff the killers base powers so they arent addon dependables like Legion, for example.
Camping "punishment"
We all know that sometimes you have to camp as a killer. But I want to address the intentionally toxic killers, the ones that facecamp survivors on the first hook early in the game. So if they keep camping for a long time, they start losing bloodpoints and get a notification about it. And maybe slowdown the survivor death timer?
Infinite loops fix
All the maps that have infinites should have a breakable wall right next the one window. So that the killer dont have to leave a survivor everytime they are on that loop
Freddy and Plague nerf/balance
Freddy slowdown addons were nerfed but they are still too strong. I think the problem isnt the numbers, but the fact that he can slowdown the game a lot without doing anything. Give a drawback to this addon : deactivate the passive transition to dream state. This will make that the Freddy will have to work more to get the slowdown but the slowdown could be stronger because he will need to hit everyone.
Plague is the real problem. I see a lot of players that doesnt know how to play with her and this make her look weak. But the truth is that she is strong as hell. The purge (vomit) is really easy to land, she can get everyone injured without having to work for it (if you rescue someone sick you become sick). And the only counterplay that she had(if survivors didnt cleanse) now its gone because the devs decided to give her a free corruption pool. Iron will and Calm Spirit doesnt work against her power. It's really easy to see sick survivor because of that giant green smoke on them. If you want to understand more of how strong she is , watch Otzdarva and Monto playing with her. She is broken af. So I suggest to make her vomit more difficult to land and remove this damn free corruption pool. And get rid of that giant green smoke. Make the sick effect more smooth please.
I agree that ebony mori is too strong. The green one though, I think that is fine. I also find that killers tend to camp and tunnel now just so they can get the mori but if they make it so you have to wait for a certain amount of hooks before it becomes active then you might as well just use devour hope.

The only only thing i dont understand is why are only the suvivor towards the killer tocis and not towards other suvivors or the killer towards the suvivor.
Oh I’ve had other survivors send me salty messages when I play survivor and I’ve also had killers send me messages as well. I’ve even had survivors t-bag me and leave me on hook for no reason. I don’t even know the other survivor. It does happen but for some reason survivors are just more toxic towards killers.
-
Welcome to dbd. It’s a toxic community. Unfortunately it isn’t going to get any better. Best thing to do is try to ignore the salty messages. Don’t let it get you down and keep trying to have fun.

@Mister_xD said:
its a perk for hookfarming without getting punished.
and quite honestly, this does not need another buff.
at least allow some killers to be able to counter this perk..
The way to counter bt is to not tunnel or camp in the first place then the perk is useless and you won’t get hit with it. For it to activate you have to be in the killers terror radius. So saying “at least allow some killers to be able to counter it” is pointless. ALL killers have a counter to bt......just move away from the hook.
but if you just want an easy kill where you don’t have to do anything but stand in one spot and take 1 swing as soon as someone is off hook then by all means go right ahead.
-
@Purple_Orc said:

Then why do survivors with BT go right for the hook even before you turn around. You can't be camping if you don't get the chance to leave.
I can’t say I’ve had that happen in the games I’ve had and if it has happened then it must be such a minimal amount it times that I don’t remember it.
If someone did that to me I would be pissed but at the same time the killer still has a choice to go after the person that unhooked rather than the hooked person. if someone takes the person off the Hook before you get a chance to walk away then you can usually grab them or land a hit in them first anyway.
-
I feel like all the killers that complain about ds and bt are the killers that tunnel and camp. Yes tunneling and camping are legit strategies but so is using bt and ds.
survivors only use those perks because there is so much camping and tunnelling going on.
if a survivor gets unhooked jumps into a locker and you go for them and you get hit with ds, well that was your choice as a killer to tunnel. What’s a survivor meant to do. They don’t want to get hooked as soon as they have been unhooked.
you can’t tunnel and/or camp then complain when a survivor uses one of their perks to counter that.
-
Why is it when killers complain about ds and bt, they are the ones that tunnel and camp?
Yes the 4 perks you mentioned can be strong but half of them are situational. don’t tunnel or camp and bt and ds are useless. That’s 2 of them gone.
adrenaline you only have a speed boost for a certain amount of time and yes you get healed a state but noed is an insta down and the killer is faster until noed is gone.
with saying that, I personally don’t care about noed. I try and cleanse all totems anyway. I always go into a game expecting the killer to have it. Especially now.
my point is, if you tunnel or camp then you’re asking to be hit with ds and/or bt. If survivors don’t cleanse totems then they are pretty much asking for noed. Both situations can be avoided if the killer/survivor really wants.
-
not to be a jerk or anything but the matchmaking in that game doesn't look that bad.
i do think that the gen repair speed needs to be fixed though. do you have the perk corrupt intervention? if you used that and discordance together...less gens for them to work on and it's more likely they will be on them together.
i don't play killer enough to know the best perks to use especially at the moment with the way the game is so it's just an idea.

tbagging isn't meant to be toxic?!? XD
Yeah. It's totally not toxic when they stun you then tbag. Sit by the exit and tbag. tbag after an unhook. It's totally meant respectfully.
And those perks are used because they allow you to screw up and get away with it. You unsafely hook someone? BT. You want 60 seconds of immunity? DS. You want a free screw up during a chase? DH. All they do is let the game forgive you for making bad plays. Killers get no such perks.
Still. tbagging not toxic? That's just a hilarious statement.
i half agree about the t-bagging. doing it unnecessarily can be toxic, however, if the killer is being a dick then i don't blame the survivor for doing it.
and about the perks being used because they allow survivors to screw up and get away with it. I disagree. DS is there to counter tunneling/camping. if it's an unsafe unhook then thats not the person on the hooks fault, again, don't tunnel and you won't have to worry about BT or DS. In regards to being chased, sometimes there isn't much you can do, especially if you are in a bad spot and/or the pallets have been used but again, BT or DS wouldn't be an issue in that situation if you didn't tunnel.
I see Killers constantly complaining about BT and DS, however, if there wasn't so much tunneling and camping going on then people probably wouldn't use those perks.

This is Rich.
"Stop camping and tunneling."
"Do you want the game to die in a few months?"
-Realizing that camping and tunneling have been going on for 3+ years.
Yes it’s been happening 3+ years but until recently it would only happen every now and then and you could brush it off and move on to the next game knowing it will probably be better and there’s still a chance of having a decent/fun game even if you do die.
Now, it happens every single game. Yes it’s a legit strategy but it still doesn’t make it fun especially when it’s all the time. I can understand why the OP said what they said about the game dying. Maybe this is not the case on pc but on PS4 It’s already started. It is noticeable. I know it also has to do with the changes but that doesn’t change the fact that no one wants to be camped or tunnelled every game.
for killers that do want to camp and tunnel, you can play how you want but just don’t expect or complain about people that won’t put up with it and are toxic or dc because if it.
I know no one believes it but if the game keeps going the way it is, it will die. People don’t keep playing if they aren’t having fun game after game.
-
tunneling and camping has always sucked but since the changes it has become really bad. pretty much every single game now killers will tunnel and/or camp.
had a game yesterday where the killer went after 1 person. luckily this person was a good looper but he eventually got hooked, someone got him off hook and the killer came straight back to tunnel him. the person that unhooked took a hit to get the killer off him but killer kept going after the person that was hooked. he got hooked again and the same thing happened. got him off the hook, killer came back and went for the hard tunnel. i took a hit for him and again he kept going after the freshly unhooked survivor. he was looping in the shack so i decided to sacrifice myself because it was just becoming ridiculous and i hadn't been hooked. blocked the doorway so the survivor could get a little distance, i went down and the killer left me to keep tunneling this survivor that he had been chasing all game and already hooked twice. it didn't matter what we did, this killer just hard tunneled the whole game.
someone opened the exit and we all ended up getting out but then the killer sent a salty message saying we were try hards and we should learn not to be sweaty. all we were trying to do is get the killer off the person that had been hard tunneled all game.
getting tunneled and camped is not fun and i don't see how it is fun for the killer either. knowing how to loop doesn't make any difference. also so many times have i heard killers go on about how they camp and tunnel because survivors are being toxic. well not this time. and why do killers play like that then get salty when people get out?

Honestly I think they only enabled the DC penalties before matchmaker to stop killers that are being bullied by their inadequate matchmaking and bad ranking system to stop disconnecting.
Rather than fix the actual issue in a timely manner they put a bandaid on the problem at people's expense.
The people who DC a lot just use alt accounts, same thing they smurf with already; and alternate between them so they can basically DC as much as they want with no penalty.
All that being said the amount of survivor DC's and instead suiciding on hook HAS shifted, which is nice, so it's not all bad but like.... that is barely much of a change for survivors, killers are the only ones really who are being targeted by it. Which, I would still be fine with, if they had addressed the major issue first.
i agree with everything you said. unfortunately now though, i'm seeing more and more killers dc too. i had 3 games in a row where the killer dc'd mid game. weather it was because they couldn't even hit anyone i don't know. they were lower rank killers against high rank survivors so i don't blame them to be honest.
i really think we are going to see more and more dc'ing happening as time goes by.

Did she have spinechill? (That can account for some of the speed because rank 3 gives you 9% on everything you do but still that speed is strange especially since she can't have haste)
Why did you get randomly stunned?
Was she running lightweight? (But still scratches should have been left even at that distance)
i don't think spine chill makes you move faster in chase right? i thought it only works on gens, opening exit gates etc..
can't be 100% sure but i imagine that stun was from someone with Head on who jumped out of a locker.
you could see some scratch marks when you were in chase but not as many as there should have been. that seems a bit weird.

DC penalties are a must in the game. People need to be held accountable for their behavior or crappy internet. Both hurt the game for those of us out here just trying to play.
a lot of people don't care about the penalties, if they did then they wouldn't dc in the first place. get a long penalty, no worries, they will just get on their smurfs. i've seen lots of people do this.
There have been plenty of dc's over the past few days. it's not having any effect on them at all so i wouldnt really say its a "must in the game" but thats just my opinion

I feel for you. matchmaking is ######### at the moment and unfortunately i don't think the devs care or they aren't bothering to fix it because they are bringing in a new system soon.
Also, unfortunately for the few killers that are left, there aren't any red rank killers so all the red rank survivors are getting lower rank killers. I was in a lobby with all red ranks the other day and had a rank 18 killer. how is that fair? it's not right!
it's not fun for the killer or survivors. i would like to think most people if not everyone would like a bit of challenge but during this ######### matchmaking time, in the example of red rank survivors against rank 18 killer, the games go way to fast, the killer can't even hit anyone so survivors are just doing gens and thats it while usually 1 person is chased.
i guess all you can do is hang in there and hope that it gets fixed or do what you have done and uninstalled the game which i think is what a lot of people will eventually end up doing. thats just my view on it anyway

Tables will turn next week. Level 4 has "Mori 3 survivors" as their first challenge.
Sounds like it will be a fun week. some people have been dc'ing while in the loading screen if there is a mori just to avoid it because you don't get the dc penalty if you leave that early. with that challenge, i wonder how fast dc'ing in the loading screen will catch on.
and the tunneling and camping is about to get way worse if thats even possible.

I've played a few times against the ghost face killer the last days and I've noticed, even if I spot him peaking around a corner and looking at him the whole time, I can't reveal him. That isn't what I've been thinking how ghost face works. If I look at him for a short time, I should be able to break his "hidden" state, so he can't stalk me for a one hit.
I've experienced similar, when ghost face was about to chase me in another match. I looked at him right at the start and continued to do so, to get sure, not to get a one hit. He just stopped for literally 1 second, stalks me to 100 % in the same moment and got me with one strike shortly after that. Not even the sound appeared that I was about to reveal him.
How does this work? Is the ghost face mechanic broken or are there some mods for this killer. I couldn't find any perks or addons that could cause this, in the matches I mentioned here. I don't play killers, so maybe there is someone who can explain that to me.
i actually think there is a bug. i have come across the same issue where i can't reveal him and i know other people have also had the same problem. it's only started happening recently

I’m confused. How is giving up the “lesser of evils” just giving up means they aren’t helping anyone or doing anything either. It’s pretty much the same thing. so why not just let them dc if they want.
im just struggling to see what the difference is between ruining it For everyone by dc’ing over just giving up.

I dont think smurf accounts would work in this game. You would have to unlock all the perks again. If your going to dc because you were found first or you don't like the killer being used id rather you stop playing dbd all together. Makes my life easier. I dont have to listen to the other 3 survivors whine at me for not going easy because someone quit. Better than letting them get away with it. I remember the days where
I missed my ds /quit
ruin wasnt cleansed in 20 secs /quit
I was found first /quit
The killer is nurse /quit
Someone brought a BPS /quit
The killer isnt farming /quit
The killer hit me /quit
Lots of people use smurfs. You don’t need all the perks. Experiment with different perks or build them up. Eventually you would get them but a smurf is just that, a smurf acc. Its not your main so it doesn’t matter what you have on it.
most reasons that people dc are bs and I don’t agree wit but there are also some situations where I don’t blame the survivor at all for dc’ing.
dc’ing will always be a thing. I see it just as much now as what I use to. Had 3 killers dc the other day in the space of 4 games. Had a killer dc yesterday, every few games I still see survivors dc’ing. The penalties won’t change anything

True but it's an online multiplayer, DC penalties come with the territory and should've been in the game from the beginning. If you DC you ruin the game for 4 other players. That kind of behavior needs a punishment. At least now players will give up instead of outright leaving.
i’m sorry what? You’re ok with people just giving up but not dc’ing because dc’ing ruins the game for everyone?
isnt just giving up ruining it for everyone also? What’s the difference?

Maybe or maybe not. Seems like no one cares about the penalties. People are either going to get on smurf accounts or it will drive people away from the game. Forcing people to not play your game can’t be a good thing in the long run. 🤷♀️

That ruin nerf was a band-aid and the way it was implemented was a sham. They must have known that games were going to fly and that certain emblems were going to be affected.
I am not a killer if i have to follow a set of rules. Hamstringing me into doing ten hooks in a game is not going to make me way play this was.
10 hooks, 2 or 3 gens left and winning more than %90 of chases results in the game that counts as perfect and 32k. Good luck getting any of this to work in the current game and at red ranks. Might work on 4 randoms who dont run meta perks.
not to mention the toolbox changes they are going to bring in....faster gen repair speeds, 2.5 second sabotage time on hooks. not only will the killer get gen rushed even faster but they may have trouble hooking survivors depending on the rest of the team etc...good luck to anyone that wants their adept trophies now too.

It's basically heading back into the dark times. Give the game a few more months and I bet all my Salty Lips that the Devs are gonna pull another 1.9.2. Swf buff with new sabo, FTP, etc.
-Insta sabos
-Faster toolbox repair speeds (what a nerf, it's not like Wire Spool and Scraps/Instructions exist)
-Breakout and MoM to synergize with insta sabos which will make baby killers wanna mori themselves and force experienced casual killers to make slugfests
I honestly don't see how anyone can see this as being healthy for the game. All we can do is just do what we've always had to do, rely on the mistakes of survivors in order to gain momentum. Good luck trying to get red rank swf with 1000+ hours of experience to make more than 1 mistake the whole match.
you can't even pip at the moment with the way the matchmaking currently is. not in red rank anyway, you just have to hope for a safety pip. so basically red ranks are on the way to extinction anyway.
most of the games i had yesterday, like i said were against rank 16 or lower and because they weren't as experienced or still trying to learn the game or whatever, the games went so fast, the killer dc'd and/or you couldn't do enough in the game because the killer couldn't hook or hit anyone so there was no one to save or heal. i barely saw the killer in most games so you don't get bold points, you don't get enough points for doing gens and totems alone.
-
@Eye66 said:
The last several killer nerfs went too far and ruin was the breaking point. I love the game but barely feel like playing anymore since killer is so weak. Most red rank killers quit the game or try to stay in lower ranks so they can play fair matches instead of getting instantly owned by red swf. Unless they buff the heck out of killers soon this game may not last another 6 months. They don't seem to really care though
I agree and i'm a survivor main. they say they are catering for the newer players but as a result of that, they are killing their own game. everyone sucked at ruin when they first started playing but everyone sucked it up, dealt with it and learnt how to push through with ruin. why make exceptions for new players now. not just that the poor new players don't even stand a chance with the matchmaking as it is. how long do they think new players will keep on playing for when they keep getting destroyed.
-
@Rezblaze said:
This game has just become so unfun. The matchmaking itself is busted, and I find myself going up against both SWF that pop three gens with one left after my second hook, and the next match I'm stomping poor Rank 20s who are scared of the Killer the whole match.
Its unfriendly to beginners, frustrating for veterans, and all we've gotten for its fundamental issues is band aid patches. Its lasted so long because it doesn't have competitors.
I mean, jesus, the game developed a culture around DCing bad games. Even with the recent penalties, it doesn't seem to hurt the amount of DCs, or people just AFK.
I don't know why I keep coming back at this point. I think this game would have been in its grave a while ago, people just don't have another ship to jump to right now. The recent patches that are coming through seem to put it on the right track, but it seems like so little actually adjusts for every chapter.
they may not have any competition at the moment but i believe there are a couple of games coming out this year that may change that. come april 3 when project resistance (resident evil 3) comes out, i'll be moving on to that. it's also an asymmetrical multiplayer game.
with the issues with matchmaking, i'm wondering if they have already started testing the mmr system. matchmaking has been broken for ages but recently its just got 10 times worse and you are right, it's really unfriendly to beginners.
i do hope they can save dbd because it can be a decent game but the way it is now, i don't know.

So, as all DBD players know, majority of survivors always deny gen speed being unbalanced and killers always nag about it (I also am a killer main who is rank 1 on both sides)
It takes 80 seconds to do a single gen alone.
The killer is physically unable to chase more than 1 person, therefore at all times there are 3 people on generators, meaning that it takes 80 seconds for 3 generators to pop, now taking into account how long it takes to down a single survivor with dead hard and sprint burst and balanced landing and all that good stuff and also finding the survivor in the first place, 3 gens are done by the time you've hooked and gone up to a generator.
Now survivors always say "pressure gens 4head".
this is the thing that annoys me the most, there's no such thing as pressuring gens against a coordinated team, SWF or not. with maps being as big as they are, you can not walk up to 4 generators and stop all of them, you stop one survivor and you don't chase after them since you gotta "pressure" gens, therefore as soon as you leave the survivor is back on the gen and then you've achieved absolutely nothing.
So, if you agree with gen speeds being unbalanced then well... nice. Nothing we can do about it tho, since the devs apparently don't see it or don't want their precious survivors to get sad by balancing the game, but at least us killers realize that people appreciate us playing killer and understand our pain.
But if you don't, let me hear your thoughts.
~Cheers
i'm a survivor main and i think gens go way too fast. instead of doing something about it they nerfed ruin which i think was the worst idea. like i've said in a different post, i could cleanse a totem and by the time i'm done, 2 gens can pop depending on the items brought in and add ons, perks and weather people are working together etc.. it makes the game go too fast. no one gets a chance to do anything.
they nerfed ruin to cater for the newer players but EVERYONE was new to the game at some point and everyone would have sucked at skill checks when they first started but you get better over time.
less charges on toolboxes won't make any difference when they are making repair speeds faster with a toolbox. even without a toolbox, the repair speeds are too fast. thats just my opinion.

It’s just stressful sometimes and I feel like killers got too much control over ones experience playing. The Killer being host, DCing games losing stuff. Camping, it’s all a lot to put up with. That’s why I say, it should be harder for 4Ks than I feel like it is. Rank 1s might have your ass beat looping you but it’s NOT something everyone is good at. That shouldn’t be the difference maker 😂 I’ll just go die in F13 it’s so much more satisfying and at least I’m like yeah I can see how I got outplayed in that situation I shouldn’t have gone over there to repair that car at that time. Jason’s right around the corner chasing that person and I got caught up in it. Here I’m like, nah you’re back there you don’t deserve to hit me. That lunge though.....

Rank up dude. Play killer against really good survivors, you haven't seen abuse yet. Wait until you face survivors that coordinate with borrowed time, DS, adrenaline, head on, etc... gen popping like popcorn.
it's true. i just had a game as survivor yesterday and abused these perks but only because the killer was camping and tunneled the whole game. finished all gens, i got downed by noed, got hooked. someone else got hooked, someone got me off with BT, i went to the other person hooked (who was being face camped), got hit but BT protected me, i got the survivor off hook (gave them BT) then i got downed but when i got picked up i used DS, the person i got off hook took a hit for me with BT and all 4 of us got out oh and someone else used DH to make it out the exit.
my play style is determined by the killers play style during game. yes, i have all those perks but if the killer hadn't tunneled the whole game and face camped then i would have left the save for someone else.

I played today and got hooked once, and I died as soon as second stage took place. That should never be a thing. Like I said, map design is absolutely terrible for survivors. I don’t want to come in and die in these games because trap based killers have a million reusable traps, have impeccable range, are fast and just kill you too soon. Just don’t get caught? Map design literally prevents you from going anywhere. Too many dead ends and not enough places to hide that don’t seem too obvious. Work on gen control killers not so much how many kills you get every game. We both have objectives to do, that’s how it should be.
I don't totally agree with this. there are maps that favor the survivors way more than killer. haddonfield, some of the car wrecker maps, red forest even Lery's i would say favor's survivors more because there are so many loops/windows etc.. I'm not a big fan of the coldwind farm maps but depending on the killer then these maps definitely favor the survivor more...killers like myers can't stalk through the corn and he 's a slower killer, thats a huge disadvantage to him.
as for killers that have traps, use urban against the hag or just crouch. you can usually predict where her traps are anyway and flashlights can get rid of her traps. Trapper is annoying but he can only hold so many traps at one time. a lot of survivors disarm them and you can still get/struggle out them. the small game perk can counter traps too even against freddy. use the perk sabateur and break the trappers traps.
there's lots of places to hide in maps.

I think DS is one of the few cancers of this game. i mean killers already have precious little time to work, so if everyone in the enemy team brings DS its an aditional 4 extra chases you have to engage in.
Which is pretty mental.
If you tunnel each of those survivors. Sure.

I preferred the old ruin. Even as a survivor main the games go way to fast. I could cleanse a totem and 2 gens will pretty much be done in that time, depending on items, add ons, perks etc...
bring back old ruin. I’d prefer to have to work for it or feel like there was more of a challenge.
nerfed ruin is a waste of perk space now in my opinion. I’m sure a lot of people disagree though.

Not to be a d*ck, but if I was getting 2 games in 1.5 hours, I'd be playing a different game. If lobby queue's are more than 5-10 minutes, I would not play that game. Not just this game, any game. That's way too much time to ask. I think 30 seconds to 2 minutes is a reasonable amount to wait, more than that you are trying your customer's patience. After 5 minutes on a regular basis, I'm thinking somethings wrong or the game is dead. 5-10 minutes, you better be fixing something quick or I'm gonna shelve your game if this is the norm. Just my feelings about it.
I enjoy this game, but I won't except a lobby simulator from any game.
If a significant amount of people are waiting this long, they have worse problems than I realized.
Sorry, I should have clarified. 2 games in 1 1/2 hours is in a 2 man SWF game so I guess the wait times are expected to be longer.
I get what you are saying and I have considered going to play another game. I guess I just don’t want to give up on dbd yet. If I have people to talk to or things to do in between then it’s not so bad.

Queue times are probably just as bad on PC. Killer queues in the daytime are 2-5 minutes. Killer is usually instant after 4-5pm. Survivor queues both solo and SWF are 2-10 minutes at all times for me on PC (Southeaster USA).
Those are pretty good times. On PS4, as survivor, sometimes I only get 2 games in 1 1/2 hours. The long wait times occur more so than not especially at night time.

I don’t really play killer and I agree with you. In my opinion it’s not even fun for survivor anymore with how fast the gen speeds are. You pretty much do one gen and they are all done. The game goes way too fast and you don’t get a chance to do anything else. There’s no challenge anymore. Also with the bad matchmaking. High ranks get low rank killer and the poor killer can’t even get a hit on anyone before gens are done.
they broke the game after nerfing ruin and once the toolbox changes come in, it’s going to be even worse. Gen speeds will be faster and when the killer dies down someone they won’t be able to hook them because sabotage time will be 2.5 secs.
You’re also right that survivors get camped and tunnelled out of the game, more so now than ever and it is because of the gen speed. (In my opinion) that’s when it started happening more.

Was playing Leatherface and face camped the first person I hooked with chainsaw revved and insidious. Got a down from a survivor the tried to unhook and left her slugged. Another survivor tried to heal the slugged guy right beside me and I downed them as well. Then a gen popped and I slugged the last guy.
I left them slugged and let them bleed out without hooking anyone.
I will continue to play like this in protest until gen speeds are fixed.
What’s the point in starting a match if you are going to do that. You clearly don’t want to play the game.
and if you stand there with your chainsaw revved, why do you even have insidious? It’s obviously a waste of perk slot.
the survivor you downed trying to get someone off hook should have healed then moved away from the hook. Or moved then healed. You can’t keep an eye on both survivors that way.
makes me think that because of your camping And slugging ways, waste of perk Slot and the fact that the slugged survivors didn’t move away from hook, you’re a low rank.
If I was in a game like that I would just dc. Who cares about the penalties, it will still be more interesting than spending the whole match on the ground just bleeding out slowly
-
Honestly some of the challenges encourage bad behaviour (toxicity) and screwing people over. I just play normally and eventually I’ll get the challenge done.
-
Yep it’s slightly annoying. You can’t vault the window because there is like a dip/hole there. I’ve died a couple times trying to vault that window. 1st time I thought it was lag or something so tried it another time and same thing happened.
I swear a killer couldn’t find me when I was in dying state because I was under/in the ground.
-
And that’s why they escape...because they do nothing. Can’t get found if you aren’t doing anything but this also means they wouldn’t get many bloodpoints.
if you max out in each category then why does it matter if you die. I get that it’s nice to escape but if you have max points anyway it’s not going to matter if you escape or die.
