That's what happens when there's not enough red and purple rank killers. You get red and purple rank survivors being matched with low rank killers.
you have a point although I'm not sure what happened to all the red and purple rank killers because i can't remember the last time i got one haha
it feels bad getting matched up with a low rank killer. i had one game where the killer just gave up and i don't blame him. they weren't on the same level as the survivors. there was at least 10 ranks between the survivors and the killer. I ended up letting him kill me at the end because i felt so bad then i sent him a message because i didn't want that 1 match to deter him from the game.

Matchmaking is broken. it seems to be the normal now. i'm a red rank survivor and i ever only get green or yellow rank killers. I don't know in what world the devs think this is fair.

I use mori offerings, but I hook the survivor twice beofre i murder him. Do you think using a mori offering like this is toxic? Would you have a problem going against a killer that use a mori on death hooks?
i don't think thats toxic at all.

Hatch Keys completely negate the game.
It lets the survivors bypass their entire main objective.
And while Moris can be pretty unfair, they are NOT at the level of absurdity that keys are. The only really unfair one is the Pink Mori, which can easily be balanced out and is far rarer than keys are.
I don't totally agree with that. with a mori you only have to hook someone once before you can mori them which means the survivors game can be over fairly quickly. not to mention that 99% of the killers i've been up against with a mori camp and/or tunnel hard to get that mori.
With a key, the survivors actually need to do a certain amount of gens before the hatch will even spawn (unless you're the last survivor), we can't make the hatch spawn any faster even if we wanted to.
so the last survivor uses a key to get out hatch, i don't really blame them with how close the doors are in a majority of maps. i have killers that can stand between both exits and still see both doors without moving in some games because the doors are that close to each other which makes it impossible for the survivor so I don't blame the survivor bringing in a key. With saying that I don't see that many people bring in keys. the amount of mori's that i see in game though....
I don't generally bring in keys unless i have had constant games where the killer will camp/tunnel and i've just have a enough of it, or for a challenge. maybe there have been more keys recently but that is only because of the archive challenges. those challenges have made a toxic game into an even more toxic game.

I mean on console we have a surplus of survivors and finding a lobby as killer takes no time at all, if anything this will help out the survivor waiting times since survivors are the ones who generally DC. idk how it is on PC but this might not even do anything since hook suicides are still a thing.
I'm on console too. I don't know too much about the killer side of things as I usually play survivor. i know that we only had 2 games in about 1 1/2 hours the other day though. they were fairly quick games. wait time has definitely increased since before the penalties. if you dc as a survivor you also can't play killer right? or is that wrong?
I guess time will tell.

You haven't even seen the new map yet, so there's no way to tell what it'll be like to play on. But that aside, DC penalties have you covered. If they choose to DC on it every time it comes up (especially when the chance to get the map is increased), they'll be sitting out for days at a time.
I agree that people should wait and see what its like to play on before judgement and knocking it down, however, in regards to the dc penalties, people won't care about the penalties. yes they will be out of the game for a period of time but in that time they will be playing different games...slowly dbd will lose its player base. its already noticeable with the longer wait times in lobbies because people are giving up on the game or have been slapped with a penalty. the more time people aren't playing the game, the more it will hurt the game and it's only been a few days. you said it, "they will be sitting out for days at a time."
also i'm not sure if something has been done to the matchmaking yet or if its because there aren't as many people playing but since the dc penalties have come into play, red ranks are getting matched with rank 20's and those rank 20's are getting destroyed. it's not fun for the rank 20's and its disheartening...how long will they stick around for when they have games like that constantly. they aren't even getting a chance to learn the game.
my point is, yes you are right, DC penalties will have people covered but its also going to kill the game.

The point that you are complaining about not being able to weaponize the DC system to force killers to play how you want them to play and are now wondering and complaining about finally being punished for doing so with the new soft ban system when it's been told for years that doing the very thing you are doing is not okay and doing so makes you liable for punishment.
When I'm playing survivor, I don't like being camped or tunneled either, but that doesn't mean I'm going to be a baby and DC. Camping and tunneling is a boring play style to go up against (and I would argue to play, as well), but it's still a play style nonetheless and I certainly wouldn't say it's "unfair", especially when it more often than not leads to a killer losing more than winning.
Similarly, I'm not going to DC on survivors as Killer and cuck them out of a match, simply because I don't like that they're looping and hugging the same overpowered structure.

There's no need to 'accuse' you of denying killers points. You literally admitted it yourself.
"so its okay to deny the survivor points because they are playing in such a crap unfair way but survivors aren't allowed to deny the killer points?""if the killer is playing in that way then they don't deserve the points. why would i encourage camping and tunneling by dying on hook and giving them the points."You didn't say you DC because they had to play how you want them to play, but that's what you're doing.
Again, if you don't like it to the point that it causes you to DC, then you should play a different game.
Perhaps Identity V would be better suited for you. Camping is a lot more prevalent in that game at higher ranks, but there's also a lot more you can do to counter it as a survivor as well, and even if you do get camped, you will be sitting there for a lot less time that it's not worth it at all to DC over. Identity V plays very similarly to DBD and it was made with the help as BHVR as well, so you'll still be right at home.
again, they can play the way they want.

"If the killer wants points they should play the way how I want them to play"
That's entitlement 101 right there.
i didnt say they had to play i want them to play, i'm just not going to participate in that type of play where i can't do anything. hard tunnel or camping is a waste of time and it's fact that you can't get many points by camping or tunneling. you actually need to chase people and hook multiple people, break things etc...
like i said a couple of times, they can play the way they want but if you are going to accuse me of denying killers points then of course i'm going to mention that you need to do things to get points because you do. thats not entitlement at all, its how the game works.

Don't care. None of the reasons you stated for why you DC are legitimate reasons to do so. You can try to justify it however you want, the result is still the same -- you're still cucking the three survivors and the killer out of their points and emblems.
Either learn to stop doing it and be an adult about it, or find a different game to play.
which points are we talking about?
- the points that you don't get because you're not on the gen because you're trying to save the survivor that is being camped
- the points that you don't get because the killer won't let you get the survivor off the hook
- the chase points that you don't get because the killer won't chase anyone but 1 person
- or the points that the killer isn't getting anyway because they are hard tunneling and camping 1 person
killers are equally to blame for anyone losing points.

Then ######### on the hook. Atleast then the killer will get the points he/she deserves.
The devs have for some reason made the killers lose points when survivors dc
so its okay to deny the survivor points because they are playing in such a crap unfair way but survivors aren't allowed to deny the killer points? if the killer is playing in that way then they don't deserve the points. why would i encourage camping and tunneling by dying on hook and giving them the points. if the killer wants the points then maybe they should do something instead of camping hook or going after 1 person

If a killer decides to camp me, instead of being a little ######### and DCing, I ride it out. If the killer is going to throw the game to spend two minutes camping me, then more power to them. It's only 2 minutes. I'll suffer 2 minutes to make sure the rest of my team gets out and the killer gets practically nothing.
If a killer is going to tunnel me, well, that's what DS was designed to counter. And I have it, so if they wanna throw the game tunneling me too, again, more power to them. I'll hold out as long as I can to make sure that again, they get practically nothing and lose, and I'll move onto my next game because again, it's just a game.
The "Leave Match" button exists for when you need to use it -- not for when you want to use it and things don't go your way.
Camping and tunneling is a part of the game. If that upsets you to the point that you DC, then again, perhaps you should seek a game that's better suited for you, because I certainly wouldn't want a baby on my team who DCs when the game doesn't go how they want it to and people like you who DC when you feel like it rather than for legitimate reasons, who think they can just bail from matches constantly and make the 4 remaining players in the match suffer because you can't grow up, are exactly why we have the system in place now, whether it be good or bad.
You reap what you sow. Now you're paying the consequences for your actions. So either grow up and stop DCing whenever you feel like it and take responsibility for what you sign up for, or kindly go and find a different game because this game is clearly not the game for you and ruining other people's matches is not okay.
Pick your poison.
I have ds and use it. Not everyone has it.
I Don’t dc just when I feel like it. I dc because there is actually no point in being in the game when tunnelled hard then camped then tunnelled hard. You aren’t helping anyone. And most of the time when you are in hook and being camped you’re team aren’t working on gens, they are trying to get you off hook. I don’t care if I die so you saying that I dc when I feel like it is bs. I dc when there is clearly no point in me being in that match, when there is nothing I can do to help.
if a killer wants to tunnel and or camp then they can, they can play the way the want but people are going to get sick of it and it’s not fun so yes people will go to a different game or dc but again they will be losing their much needed player base. There’s already a noticeable difference.
some of the reasons for a dc are bs and I don’t agree with most of them but being camped or tunnelled to the point where you’re pretty much on the hook again before you get off...

i can give you a few reasons why survivors DC they get hit first they DC, don't like the killer DC, teammates not playing how they want them to play DC, map they don't like DC, killer using add ons or perks they don'd like DC. You can't just say survivors DC when they get camped or tunneled i have seen a lot off survivors DC because they were the first one's hit or hooked.
Killers also DC for different reasons why don't you look at it from both sides you say its not fun to be camped or tunneled hard what about when a killer has to face a 4 man SWF each bringing in a toolbox plus the meta perks do you think that match is fun for the killer, even if it's just 4 solo players each bringing in a item i.e 2 flashlights and 2 toolboxes.
There is two sides to this you want the game to be fun and i bet you the killer want's the game to be fun to, if survivors bring in items and add ons plus perks to take the fun away from the killer are you saying the killer should just accept that and not have fun. But soon as the killer makes the game not fun for you that's not fair and you DC.
Why shouldn't they dish out penalties when even you have said you DC when your not getting your way and having fun?
Yes there are some bs reasons for people dc’ing which I don’t agree with nor do I dc for those reasons. You keep saying just have fun. How can you have fun when the killer constantly comes after you, especially when they ignore everyone else around and keep going for you. How is it fun when you can do anything and you’re only in the game for 2 minutes. I at least want a chance to do something. I’m talking about hard tunnels and camping if they tunnel. Ds doesn’t make a difference when they are out to get you. People taking hits makes no difference. If it happens every now and then, then it wouldn’t be so bad. When it happens all the time because that’s all green ranks know how to do then it becomes not fun.
yes killers dc too. I’m not denying that. As for items, they are changing toolboxes anyway, bring in franklins, there are perks you can use to slow the game down or work the game to your advantage.
im not saying I dc when I don’t get my way. Again, I couldn’t care less if I died. Just don’t hard tunnel or camp me. There’s no point in being in the game when you can’t do a thing. Staying in the game when that happens is not helping anyone. It’s not fun for anyone.

How can you say that camping and tunneling isn't okay but leaving in the middle of a match and screwing over 4 players because it's not going your way is okay?
If being tunneled or camped frustrates you to the point where you just disconnect, perhaps you would be better off finding another game to play.
how is it screwing over other players when you DC for getting camped or tunnelled so hard that you can’t do anything anyway. What’s the point in being in that game if you don’t even get the chance to do anything. I couldn’t care less if I die in a game but if someone camps or tunnels me you better believe I’ll dc. id rather play a game that’s playable.
Killing the game is the only thing that the devs are going to achieve with these penalties. Give it time and no one is going to care if they get a penalty for dc’ing. It’s already started. So what if you have to wait to play, people will just go and play something else, find other games. They’ll lose their player base.
I agree that lobby wait times are already longer and it’s only been a few days. What’s it going to be like in another week? Or 2 months? Not only that but I’ve only been getting rank 18-20 killers since penalties have been in place. How long do you think rank 20’s will stick around after getting destroyed by higher rank survivors...then who will be there to play.
they should have taken a closer look into why people dc instead of just jumping straight into dishing out penalties. If people are dc’ing that much then there’s obviously a reason why.
