  • it's VERY frustrating when you chase for a while then you lose the chase because of no audio and the person shift W's away from the tile and you lose pretty much half of the game because of it. Then you have bad maps which adds up to the frustration of the gameplay

    Hey Man.

i'm not a killer main but if I play killer I do play Hag. I agree that she needs an improvement .

I also play in Dubai, UAE and have been having Disconnection from Host error. I've seen your posts about your ping too being high from this region but for me I just get disconnected. I hope you can help me to at least still play the game even at higher ping, just not get disconnected.

    please connect with me. Thanks.

    I'm on playstation not PC

It seems there is a lot of confusion about what's bannable as far as trolling I've seen it pop up a lot lately, can you clarify what specifically is bannable when it comes to trolling? Ive heard a few different responses to this and from what I can gather , trolling to BHVR is something different than what people are reporting for

2 survivors get caught early in the match* sorry didn't specify it in my recent comment

I agree with you. for me imo, trolling is when 2 survivors at the start of the match. survivor on hook and another slugged near hook not moving away. throwing strong pallets early in the match. not unhooking. Many forms of trolling from them. Especially in high level. gold and up

  • @moonwinx said:

Yes, people can be banned for griefing/trolling/bad behavior, but I believe that you have to report in game, and then also submit a support ticket with video evidence of the behavior.

the problem is 90 to 95% of my matches have these players. It's extremely frustrating to keep on recording and submitting video evidence of it. I don't mind doing it in game though

  • @Iron_Cutlass said:

I believe AFKing is reportable though, since people can abuse it to get Iridescent Shards and BHVR does not like that.

I'm on nintendo switch (console) so I don't think they will take console reports serious. I can post many many more proofs of AFKer's but there is no point in doing it. I just hope they do something about it because it's totally selfish and unfair for other online players who have a limited time on their schedules to be wasting it on unentertaining things like these scenarios.

  • 1.jpg

This is just 1 match of many matches I've encountered an AFK killer. It is an insult to our time and I think this shouldn't be allowed especially in an online game VS real people. please look into this situation BHVR

Reaching P3 just gives you the tier 3 perks

You can P1 them and the perks will be in the Blood web

ah ok then I guess thats pretty decent. Thanks for clarifying it

  • @I_am_Negan said:

If you had the perks unlocked on other survivors/killers they stay.

The perks are locked for any new survivor/killer you get until you P1 that survivor/killer.

very silly how they made it this way. So that means I have to do it all over again and waste time? I know now the grind isn't as bad but still it takes a lot of time to even reach P3

  • @Xernoton said:

The way it should work is: Prestige a character, unlock their teachables on tier 1/2/3 on all other survivors/killers. But because many players never bothered prestiging in the past (understandably) and already unlocked the perks the normal way, they also unlock all perks on all charakters on tier 1 if they had them unlocked before.

It seems your game is bugged. Because you already had the perks unlocked you now have them on all charakters but the game still thinks the perks should be locked because you didn't actually prestige. I'd recommend you make another post in the bug report section and submit screenshots.

but maybe they will suspect I am trolling them because they can't tell when I started playing DBD. Only I know when I started and it was in june of 2020.

It’s a homage to the RE series which does that.

Personally I’ve always thought it was a bit much. Kinda cheesy.

But I’ve never been a big RE fan because typically it’s so over the top it’s just schlocky and in no way scary.

Nothing wrong with schlock if that’s what you’re going for but when you schlock while trying to play it straight and serious, like dbd or RE series, it immediately cheapens the experience.

honestly respect your opinion on the RE series and the voice over but I really like the announcer because it makes me laugh a bit everytime

See, on big maps like Eyrie of Crow, I would agree. Rancid Arbattoir is one of the smallest maps in the game, so the higher amount of safe pallets are not a big deal.

3:12 - OP could have easily gotten a hit their with a lunge.

3:33 - OP outmindgamed the Kate, just to then let her get to the pallet for free. That was a 100% guaranteed down.

4:36 - long wall pallet misplayed clearly. They could have clearly gotten a hit there.

And these 3 examples are justregarding potential hits at those pallet loops, and nothing else. No talk about map pressure and stuff for example.

Also, Pig is an M1 killer. Most killers don't struggle with these pallets nearly as much. This is why M1 killers are generally considered too weak. But that doesn't necessarily have to be because they are too weak in chase, but instead because the rest of their basekit just doesn't make up for the lack of their chase power.

Too many safe pallets are not good. Normally. I do agree with that. However, there are maps with more safe pallets than Rancid Arbattoir, and Rancid Arbattoir makes up for the safe pallet loops with it's very small size.

Farm maps in general are a bit problematic, because they have far more safe tiles than many other map realms. But Rancid Arbattoir really isn't a problem.

Dude you did not play well at all. I have only watched a few parts of the vid and I have already seen multiple instances where you could have easily gotten a hit against survivors.

You argue that anyone can play survivor the way they did, but that's because you didn't play very well yourself. This has nothing to do with map design.

they also made a lot of mistakes. You can't just say it's my fault. the point of this video is to show map design not awesome gameplay. Watch my other videos I promise you I have played better than this. Don't judge my play in this video. They also made loads of mistakes.

  • @neb said:

we don't need proof, it's been garbage.

Pallets after pallets after pallets. Then you're told to "drop chase". Ok. I chase someone else who does the exact same thing, reaches pallets after pallets. Ok, at least im getting rid of pallets, right? It doesn't matter, gens will be flying by fast, you're not getting any pressure by breaking pallets. Congrats, you've broken 15+ pallets and you've lost the game because of it. The counter? Don't play an m1 killer.

The life of an m1 killer is pain.

    100% agree with you

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3149298#Comment_3149298

i wouldn't say its maps themselves. the maps look beautiful. its more of the pallets. too many safe pallets that force killer to break pallet because their ability doesn't help them in the chase/outplay survivors.

just looking at your video, go and check how many pallets you were forced to break as killer on that map

    0:32 - jungle gym pallet

2:56 - jungle gym pallet ->kate made movement error that you could got a hit on.

    3:12 - cow loop pallet

    3:33 - shack pallet

    3:57 -safe filler pallet

    4:36 -long wall pallet.

    5:02 - safe filler pallet

    5:24 - first unsafe pallet.

    8:00 -long wall pallet

you had to break 8 pallets and you got to play 1 pallet. i think map had like ~3 more pallets. killers are suppose to use their ability to get downs at the pallets.... but pig ambush dash is .... not very good for any of those safe loops. Its mostly similar for all other maps. you have to break 80% of pallets and like 20% are pallets that killer gets gameplay at. Its why 10% pallet breaking speed doesn't do much since you can still chain all these loops and the killer lacks gameplay at them.

    nice well said brother.

  • @DragonMasterDarren said:

We already know that map design is flawed, on Coldwind especially, but honestly this video of yours is more of a show of you making mistakes rather then a show of bad map design

and i've mentioned this issue ISNT only coldwind. A LOT of the maps are like this when you play as killer, Did you forget badham, red forest? and many more? Don't just point out coldwind

  • @DragonMasterDarren said:

We already know that map design is flawed, on Coldwind especially, but honestly this video of yours is more of a show of you making mistakes rather then a show of bad map design

not true. How many mistakes did they do compared to me? I mean at one point in the video I was close to earning a 4k by slugging them. Don't be biased

  • @HugTheHag said:

I mean, you got looped well but... it happens ? I've had plenty of good games as killer on this map and of bad games as survivor on coldwind as well. Those survivors knew how to loop and were somewhat organised. But looping is literally all they have not to die.

Also, and I don't mean this meanly but just as question, but why don't you break gens ? Is it to get the traps activated quicker ? (I don't know anything about Pig)

yes for activating the traps faster. But tbh they weren't amazing. They were playing as basic as you could and they got SO REWARDED for they're gameplay that I ended up with 1k only. If you watch closely in the video you can see that they had so much resources. Back to back loops or tiles. Anyone can play the way they did as a survivor even me and even you. But when you play normal with killer you get punished

  • I'm reviving this post because the maps are STILL BAD! for killer

  • @Phantom_ said:

Instead of going through 40 perks, adjusting gen-times, and overall buffing every killer's basekit, they should have reworked on balancing the maps and removed infinite loops.

As for survivors they don't have that many recourses, let alone "really powerful ones". If you're still having that much of an issue to hook a survivor after the patch on a map like Ormond, it sounds more like a you problem.

you sir are 100% wrong. I literally just played on Erie of crows as wraith 1 of the survivors wasn't running ANY perks and they still destroyed me not because i'm bad. 1 of them literally ran around the main building and jumped through the window with the breakable wall and I lost sight of him and bloodlust even dropped. I only could get 1 hit on him then i couldnt catch up while his other team mates were on gens and they got 2 and a half gens done during that time. And I just did it once I didn't over chase him. clearly a map design fault. ORmond and now Erie of crows. there are more maps as well. I don't need to explain much to you. People have been literally complaining about maps for a VERY LONG TIME

Just remember this, Pvp, not a cutscene. That's all you need to know.

survivors 16 perks, killer 4 perks that's all you need to know. killer chase 1 survivor and 3 other survivors have free will to do gens or whatever. let this sink deep into your head. This is logic. Your comment no logic

  • @Aneurysm said:

The last few maps and buffing bloodlust kinda indicate they're very committed to terrible map design at this point

if they had fair maps with 50/50 chances for killer and survivor theres no need for bloodlust to even exist. Bloodlust is a band aid for broken loops that can't really be dealt with or back to back looping tiles

  • @Sumnox said:

Are you saying you need more buffs?

just remember this. 4 survivors, 1 killer. That's all you need to know.

  • @DeliciousFood said:

They don't know how to. They won't admit it, but they've proven it with the last updates to maps. NONE have been improved in a a BIG way. The BEST update was Ormond, and people still dislike getting it because of how MASSIVE it is.

Reminder: They thought Gideon's update was completely fine in 2021.

They DO NOT have proper know-how and resources in whatever part of the team that handles maps. Cowshed is also notoriously bad, even in their statistics, but it remains UNTOUCHED.

It's too hard to balance maps. So let's just tweak numbers instead.

100% agree with you. They don't know how to create maps

  • i'm surprised no one really cares about hag yet most people complain about her camp strat. SPEAK UP people. let bhvr hear our voice for a rework of her

  • @WishIcouldmain said:

Ideally make it where after an unhook traps within so and so of hook dissolve removing the insane loose-loose camping scenario, then remove flashlights removing traps already can be disarmed by tripping the edge no need for this item to butcher them.

yeah I agree with you 100% it's very annoying to deal with. That's why I don't see many hag players on my server. I think HAG is the lowest picked killer because of the drawbacks she has. Very irritating tbh. And yeah the fix to the flashlight problem is to use franklins but a fix shouldn't be considered with a perk.

    I personally would disable:

    • Doctor: he is very noisy. Constant screams and static sounds give me headaches.
    • Trickster: boring, badly designed Killer who just kills you if you are in the open.
    • Artist: shift-w is the only way to prolong chases if she decides to trap loops.

Nurse only because she is unfun to play against and also unfun to play with. Very bad designed killer for the game imo. Even if you play her expertly there is no satisfaction just killing survivors because they can't do much to react to you. that's why it's a lose/lose situation with Nurse which is bad for the games health.

  • @GentlemanFridge said:

Eh... DbD features serial killers, a pedophile, and just all-around bad minds. Fictional ones, I should stress. Adding actual, real, life people who "look like horror characters" seems rather inappropriate, to say the least.

ok, Ash williams is also a real life person who kills in a fictional world. So how is it inappropriate? It's just a video game so honestly it would be cool if they added them in DBD. Plus SMITE added them so it's not weird at all imo. Whats weird is thinking it's inappropriate to have people in a video game kill.

Why do you prefer the Switch version? I just tried Apex yesterday on my Switch, and uninstalled it after two matches. Can't imagine trying to play DbD on it. Not that I would without cross-progression.

I like how the game is flexible where you can play it both handheld and docked with a wired connection. Also the game on switch feels nostalgic to me that's why I love it on switch the most. I'm a simple person that enjoys the small things in gaming.

  • chases aren't really engaging or satisfying as they used to be. it feels so crappy when you chase a survivor and finally land a hit on him he gets more connected loops with pallets and a back up dead hard just in case so you're forced to drop the chase and find others. ok so you land a hit and they are injured. u ignore him they heal and u gain nothing out of it but waste time. I remember there was a time in this game where hit and run used to be a valid tactic, not anymore, nope. that's why im saying killer is pathetically boring to play now. it's gross honestly in it's current state.

  • @ChampagnePapi said:

So this is another one of those videos that tries to blame the game other than blame your own mistakes, which I’m sure we’re all victims of. Map design is a problem but you didn’t exactly play well there.

ok I admit to my mistake. I understand I played it wrong but i'm not blaming you can see in my video there is 2 back to back loops that have very strong pallets that's what I mean. If I got the survivor to throw the 2 pallets quickly it wouldve been the right way to play but I kept mind gaming and failed that's why I played it bad. I admit to my faults but this is definitely an unfair game design having 2 connected strong loops

thanks for sharing. Great video definitely learned something new but there is one issue I have to point out. This is harder to do when you are vsing 4 survivors. in the video the person made it look easy because it was a 1 v 1. but if you go against a good team of survivors some of the harder loops you keep chasing you will lose maybe 2 or 3 gens. but overall still a great tip video. Shack is hard for killers like Ghostface who rely on M1ing. You have the strength to crouch and hide your red stain, but the only advice I can give is if a survivor is at fullish stalk in the shack, you could attempt to get a down with mind gaming and proper stalk usage. The god pallet will hurt you just as bad as any other killer, but the sooner they drop it, the better.

I avoid shack with Ghostface unless I know I can afford to be there. If a survivor is really good at playing it, I'll usually go to try and find a survivor on a generator and leave the stalk on them for later.

thank you. I will try to be careful I guess in future but i'm so upset at that match after I lost to that ace and lost 3 gens with 0 hooks I had no hope of trying and just gave them all the W lol. I was so frustrated by that match tbh

  • @TheGentlemen said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2691274#Comment_2691274

You have to understand that when playing Ghostface you need to focus on 99ing survivors for later.

Ghostface is all about managing your stalk for one shots when survivors are at weaker areas of the map.

If you see Ace at a very strong loop, you should not be targeting him, you should go focus on the other survivors who are filling in all of the objectives opposed to letting Ace run you around for a minute. Most of the time, getting stalk on a survivor as Ghostface is infinitely more valuable than chasing them immediately.

what would you recommend when playing ghostface if a survivor is by shack should I just focus on stalk then ignoring him or what? because It's very tough to catch them in shack. shack is too OP

  • @espooked said:

is that your clip? NIce skin btw and I avoid shack with ghostie unless stealth or I'll get looped forever there. Idk if you can blame map design, I would blame more the killer you're playing than the actual map design itself
