I don’t know the process for anything other than PC, so I can’t help you there.

The forums have a “Help” section that maybe has some answers for you. Otherwise, I’m sure one of the moderators will see this soon enough.

hopefully and thanks for the assist. I really hope these blatant hackers have a stop some day because this is just absurd. I was playing the game normally and hitting the targets and he was trying to show me he was blatantly hacking so I ended up giving up and going AFK and getting on my laptop until the match was over but he decided to keep me in game even after the end game collapse. So then I thought alright he is holding me hostage then I DC and ate a 5 minute penalty ban and now here I am on the forums complaining about it loool

Report them, it’s the only thing you can do. Make sure to record the game if at all possible.

I recorded them but I'm on ps5 and I don't know how to upload the clip on my laptop. Also not sure about the seconds allowed and what not. Can you even report them without viewing their steam ID? because I'm on ps5

Ranks don't even matter anymore and right now im getting less than 2kills most of time at the moment, but i still don't think this should be in the game because it's overpowered and it would not be fun for survivor, and i already don't find survivor fun. I also think there's already better options that exist for this kind of thing, there's many aura reveal add-ons, bbq and chili, whispers, etc. I just think this is overpowered and i don't like the idea. That's all i am saying. I'm not attacking you.

whispers I agree with you is good and bbq is also good but add ons not all killers have access to them. pig has a great add on for aura reading and michael myers does but what if I wanted to play ghost face? he don't have any add ons like that and also there are perks like lethal pursuer but it's only 9 seconds at tier 3 and that's it it's gone throughout the enitre match. so u end up playing with 3 perks instead of 4

Distortion is mostly fine right now, if it had to be buffed because of this perk it would be power creep and probably destroy every aura addon and perk.

This perk just removes the hide and seek aspect of the game entirely for every killer. I don't find that fun. I think it's overpowered.

this isn't a single player horror game. It's an online interaction between players. that has horror in it. If players want to always be scared and hide from the killer the majority of the match they should not be playing an online horror game. They should just play Resident evl or any other horror franchise solo alone. If they like this playstyle in DBD let them face BOT killers because it's "fun" for them to just hide away

you should try then reaching red ranks or gold ranks as killer and using leatherface or nurse. see how most of your matches are going to be played. My matches always have survivors hiding and doing gens while I try to find them wasting 2 or 3 minutes then chasing. then catching them then after that I camp them because already by the time I get them hooked 2 gens get completed. then someone comes for the save gets it the guy that got saved has BT so he body blocks the hook saver and u hit him he gets a free sprint burst and the other guy that u want to catch gets away for free... that's fun to you? that's OP and boring to play against. if my idea made it to this game you'd always see killers chasing for variety not always tunnelling the same guy. only if the player was toxic he would do it but most players would play it fair.

But then survivors would be forced to run Distortion to avoid something that was never there before. That is, imo, never a good thing.

why not? It's good to change their meta a bit. change is mostly a good thing you know? You learn something new and challenging if they keep running the same thing over and over that just gets boring. it becomes easy as saying ABC. Let them be pressured more. Survivors are 4 man. Killer is only played by 1 player and he has a lot to deal with. this perk would make the game more healthy for both killer and survivor. Besides survivors will have fun being chased and looped. Hiding and camping is so boring. Survivors don't like campers and killers dont like when they hide. So this perk would fix a lot of issues the game currently has.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Distortion? So they quickly run out of tokens? Hiding in lockers? Every 30 seconds? Sorry but this is obviously overpowered...

also if u play leatherface or nurse you'll notice how survivors LOVE to hide way more than the usual basic killer.if u play pig sometimes survivors love getting aggresive but when its a powerful killer they always love hiding. I don't get their mentality. They get extremely scared of these 2 killers for some reason

  • @[Deleted User] said:

no the developers can buff distortion and maybe make it better than what it is at currently. but not too strong because survivors already have a lot of great perks compared to killer. Killer suffers a lot from hiding survivors. it really wastes a lot of time for them and this game the killer has so much to do and so little time to do it so that's why i'm saying that a perk to see survivors aura would help and make the game more interesting

  • @bjorksnas said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/296758/new-killer-perk-idea

Too strong of a perk that requires nothing from the killer to use it, and almost no way for the survivors to know the killer has it unless they specifically have object of obsession or distortion

What if it was something like this instead

Every time you hook a survivor for the first time, or a generator is complete gain a token, you can press the active ability button to consume a token and see all survivors auras for 4 seconds, this effect has a map wide terror radius while you are using it this effect has a cooldown of 40/35/30 seconds

Limited uses that are survivor and killer dependent, a cooldown to prevent using it back to back, its a strong effect so survivors know when you are using it

yeah also a good idea. I want something for the killer that makes the game more interactive because from my experience as the killer I mostly have 90% survivors just hide and do gens and never want to interact with me. This is especially true when im playing leatherface or nurse or even deathslinger. A lot of the times they will hide from me scared so I end up find 1 guy chasing him catching him then camp because I have no choice when gens are flying and I have only 1 or 2 hooks. I think it will make the gameplay more interesting. Sometimes I would find aggressive teams that all want to loop me and be aggressive but mostly it's survivors that hide a lot which is pretty annoying experience

There’s almost no reason you should be getting hit by 3 or 4 DS’s now, especially if you’re in high mmr based on your skill and not simply based on killing potatoes.

no actually there is a reason. The reason is called GEN RUSH. When u get gen rushed as the killer you're supposed to tunnel a survivor out the game. there are perks and tool boxes to help with that. Gen defense perks on killers are useless so don't defend by saying that. Also all gens are pretty hard to defend and impossible on most maps in game.

  • @Mileena_Kahn said:

DS works as intended now, so if you find yourself getting hit by DS multiple times, you’re chasing the person who just got unhooked (aka tunneling) Slug them if you think they have DS and wait it out. I don’t really have a problem with DS and I’m a red rank killer. As for flashlight saves the best thing to do is face a wall or bait the savers. Head on saves are a tough one not many SWF’s can pull those off but just bait the locker.

easier said than done. With unbreakable being a big part in their quick recovery. Oh also forgot to mention medkits can get a quick revive. ohh wait theres more. WE'RE GONNA LIVE FOREVER. ohhhh wait wait theres more. boon totem circle of healing OHHH WAIT THERES MORE. multiple survivors getting them up quick....... Think before u post

Survivors being able to tell where approximately she is, is only helpful to an extent. Because she moves so fast when phasing, she can still mindgame almost all pallet or window loops, easily still having the upper hand in most scenarios. Survivors now just have a bit of information to deal with, making these mindgames not as favorable for Spirit than they used to be, and giving survivors a bit of skill based counterplay.

Maybe they could reduce her cooldown from 15 seconds to like 12 seconds or something like that. But other than that, she seems perfectly fine. I personally don't think she needs any further changes, except for maybe a few addon buffs and nerfs.

also her lunge range is lower than most killers in game. and she has a 4.4 movement speed. she is a joke now imo. she needs some sort of small buff because now she is in a joke state.not at all worth the time investment on her

if they made her regular movement speed 4.6 and slightly lower her phasing speed i'll be cool with that.

No, she was the most hated killer in the game for a reason, she still moves absurdly fast while phasing and the new audio que stops the bs stand still mind games. Even when you do hear her, her location is vague and she can't win safe pallets every single time anymore.

Stridor and Iron will? It needed it i haven't seen a single doctor complain about calm spirit.

I strongly disagree with your opinion. This survivor community just loves to complain and bhvr listens to their compalinsts which is so sad. I just played a match recently after her nerf I got only 2 hooks. 2 hooks on a strong survivor team. I'm a rank 1 killer as well. I swear I could NEVER mind game them and when I chase them normally I could never catch up to them. I become a joke of a killer. And the 2 hooks I got was on the same guy..... you need to try and see how she is in her current state. i'm absolutely disgusted at what the devs have done to her. If I knew this day would come I would never waste my money on this useless joke of a killer. Maybe I would only for her perks but that's it.

What is this entire post about. Is it like some type of secret dirty confession? You should post on reddit confessions where you can do it anonymously.

no it isn't. It's a message to all survivors that DO this playstyle. There are LOTS that play like this by the way. Maybe u don't notice because u stated you're a survivor player. Try killer and see

  • BBQ has counter play. They can hide in lockers when they know u are running BBQ and ALSO if they are in your terror radius u can't see them so BBQ is not a good excuse.

  • @Munqaxus said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/296049/survivors-that-hide-and-gen-rush

As a survivor, you just expect half the Killers to camp or proxy-camp anymore. I don't think threatening survivors, that you are going to camp if they playing stealth, is going to do anything.

i'm not threatning I will camp I DO CAMP when it happens then after the game they get upset for it in the chat or on console they send hate messages

  • @Mooks said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2653779#Comment_2653779

And killers that camp complain about genrush.

people in general just like to complain. Don’t let it get to you.

yes they do because of their perks and because of the map size that's why they complain about gen rush. some killers can't play at their best because this game has a dumb blood web design to it where u have to unlock perks from level 1 to 3 with a lot of points wasted on meme add ons for killers or map offerings and what not. And Gen rushing becomes a problem because of this factor and because of the map size. Also prove thyself is another problem so you cannot blame the killers for complaining about gen rush when u factor all of the things I mentioned

  • @TAG said:

You play how you want, and they play how they want (all provided that no cheating/rule-breaking is happening). No need to justify anything.

the funny thing though is the survivors COMPLAIN about camping when they play this way. That's what I find very awkward.

  • can we also bring up that stretch resolution is a part of the problem with cheating? not just scripts and apps??

here is a reference to show you my region. middle east is closer to europe than it is compared to Eastern Asia and Australia. Yet I get connected to Australia or East asia and play on high ping?

  • Most people don't care about this post because they already live in the regions with the server. Europe, U.S. so they always playing on good pings. But players like me and others around me in my region that play suffer with high ping. And we can't do anything about it because the game Auto connects to a server. The only way to do it is if I had a VPN or something but why should I do the extra steps and effort when it should be done from the game side? C'mon Behaviour please do something to help us.

  • can't have fun playing survivor because its so dependent on the ping of me. On my screen I'm at a far distance from the killer but for the killer I am closer to him then what it looks like on my perspective and that's just something I deal with every time I play the game. It's become extremely frustrating for me

In what other game does one side have such a massive advantage? I woke up this morning to try a build against the Ruin/Undying that killer mains says "counters it completely". This is proof there is no counter and it is false. I spent almost 5 minutes looking for these totems even with half of my build devoted to the secondary objective. In almost every match, it is either the last totem or next to the last totem that was Ruin. In this example, by the time Ruin is removed, survivors are sacrificed. They couldn't do the objective. Here we have a map where totems are hard to find and when the totems are gone, you see what you have. A killer that easily won because of perks. 5 gens still remaining and two is actually dead. If this isn't broken I don't know what is.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/S5KL3BK90VUB/badly-broken.png

killer is HARD to play with against strong swfs or survivors. Not easy at all. That's all I got to say to you.

  • @Spirit_Hag said:

Killer mains (specifically on console) What sensitivity do you guys play on that best fits on console? I have gotten used to playing on 100 so i can lunge and potentially hit them still if they try to 360 but i still miss alot...probably due to me not playing killer nearly as often as survivor but im trying to do all i can to increase my gameplay skills as killer and not be a potato. Thoughts?

for all the killers 100 is great. for aim killers like Huntress, deathslinger. 35 or 60.

I guess cause I play solo queue I don't see it from that angle.

Perhaps they could decrease the likelihood of that realm actually spawning? Rather than get rid of offerings all together.

Or perhaps offerings could become a 'multi selection' affair i.e burn this to increase the chance of going to Lerys or Midwich. I don't know how feasible that is though.

they have to do something. but who knows whether they'd care or see this post. It seems like most people don't really care enough

  • @jajay119 said:

No because 'random' is clearly the same MacMillan and Blackwater swamp maps over and over again.

Its actually a nice change of pace when you get somewhere new and offerings can do that.

We all have maps we don't like. It's just a fact of the game. Midwich, RPD, Thompson house, Lerys and Hawkins are maps I don't like but it's just how it goes.

I will say this though. I do fully agree with your point in low skilled matches. But in higher ranks. Gold, Red people do it to their advantage

but when you clearly see a swf right before the game starts as the killer or you see the killer putting a certain stage to their advantage it's not that fun. It's a degrading experience imo. I understand your point and kinda agree on it but at the same time I don't agree fully with you because MOST high mmr players play very cheap to their advantage and we all know that stages are a big part to their advantage.

I've got about 3/4 of all the killers available and have of them all to 50 so I can start loading up my main with the best stuff. Even without the full roster the level 1 and level 2 grind is brutal.

IMO they should make it that after a Character hits level 50 level 1 and level 2 go away and every perk is level 3. I want to play the game and will spend more money on it but I don't want to have to grind out a new killer and then also have to RNG my main to get a perk.

yes I agree with you 100% brother. Especially if you prestige a killer and have to grind from scratch again. It's very irritating to have to unlock the perks again hoping that this time you will get the right perks. Prestiging doesn't feel very rewarding for the time you put into the game which is an insult to hardcore players

most of the playerbase play this game on PC it should already be known.

It's estimated, but not known, because console manufacturers are quite adamant about never giving away player numbers, for some reason.

1st of all i'm on xbox and the person has cross play symbol.

That just means they're not on whichever specific XBOX model you're playing on. DbD is available on two different versions of XBOX and PlayStation.

laystation has limited names you can use. You cannot use a psn name with symbols or spaces. only _. pc and nintendo switch are the only platforms you are allowed to use ANY symbol and name for.

    That's a good indicator, yes.

but lets be real here. Do you think people play this game sweaty on nintendo switch at 30 fps and the fps isnt consistent.

I think most people play to win (what you call "sweaty"), regardless of platform.

Also PC is the only platform that has the MOST try hard sweats that take every flaw advantage the game has.

Gonna need a source for that.

for example. Full brightness in game, Stretched resolution. etc...

Those are not flaws in the game, they're settings. Settings that you can change on a TV screen as well, as someone pointed out in another thread.

about the xbox versions. Its actually all the same no matter which xbox I play on. the latest xbox series S or X when playing with original xbox one 2013. they all are considered the same platform. even PS4 and PS5 they are the same. they dont show crossplay symbol near the name. so they are 100% pc players majority of the time. plus some players I see have TTV and when I join their stream they are on PC. And I agree with you that most people play to win. But I play the switch and boy let me tell you. Its hard to play on there. The game is extremely dark. game stutters a lot. Its not consistent 30 fps so its usually very hard to perform perfectly on it. and about the source of PC players being most try hards. Just look at competitive gaming in general. What platform is played on the most in real life tournaments? PC. so thats why i'm saying they are the most try hards ever. On console I dont think its possible to even change your resolution to stretch it in game. i've never seen it so I can't really comment on that.

  • @Orion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2403161#Comment_2403161

How do you know they're on PC and not another console? Hell, how do you know they didn't just have a perfect game? Those happen from time to time.

most of the playerbase play this game on PC it should already be known. 1st of all i'm on xbox and the person has cross play symbol. Playstation has limited names you can use. • because some games I go against red Rank survivors that play the game normally and sometimes I go against try hard sweats that play the game PERFECTLY. We are human so it's impossible to play it perfect. seriously every mind game I do fails and they are on PC so it should be obvious as to why they did so well. Stretch resolution is the only answer. and it's not every game like I said. Only some games. It's very frustrating to go against these types of players. Full tryhard and full sweat taking advantage of stretch resolution and they are playing as a SWF. just imagine

  • @apathyinc said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2402762#Comment_2402762

How can you tell a lot of them are using stretched resolution? Is it that they are hard to catch at red ranks?

when i'm in a tile trying to mind game the survivor I hide my red stain and moon walk. Or sometimes I fake a direction i'm going in then I go back the opposite way. They always time it PERFECTLY. They avoid me real perfectly which doesnt really happen that much without crossplay. its kind of hard to guess where the killer will come from when you hide the red stain. but people who use stretch resolution have a wider field of view. They get a free "shadowborn" without the sacrifice of a perk slot. thats why i'm saying its unfair advantage.

  • I guess you have a great point. I personally love crossplay with all platforms but sometimes in the high red ranks a lot of survivors I go against that play on PC use stretch resolution and it becomes impossible to mind game them as the killer since they have such a huge unfair advantage which is pretty annoying to deal with. anyway. I agree with your point.

  • @ChurchofPig said:

I play on switch too and I get what you mean. Maps like The Game and Midwich are unplayable without turning up monitor brightness because they are WAAAAAAYYYYYYY too dark. I'm just glad the next update will NOT be a dark map. Thank god.

I used to play on monitor on the switch but then I swapped over to handheld mode because that’s the whole point of playing it on the switch but it’s too dark on AutoHaven. Also on the switch settings brightness is set to full but still it’s too dark to see anything on autohaven. I hope the developers see this post and add the feature in the future

  • @Mr_K said:

Because everyone would crank it up to 100 anyways?

Killers want to see survivors and survivors want to see the killer.

Yes ok that’s fine. That’s a good thing to be honest. I don’t see that wrong. I see the missing feature of not having the brightness setting very wrong. If every player set their brightness to 100 then that’s fine. People have personal preferences so maybe most of them would put it 100 anyway but few people would set it below that. It’s a win/win situation if the developers just added the feature in game.

  • I respect your opinion but honestly it’s about time the developers do something and add the missing feature lf adjusting the brightness through the game options. If resident evil has that feature why can’t this game have it?

  • Excuse me? Ok you have a point but in console and PC if you play on a monitor you can adjust the monitor settings to make it bright and see everything clearly. Why can’t the developers just add it?? They added color blind mode. It’s time to add a brightness setting as well because if people can do it through there monitors then it shouldn’t have to be a missing feature from the game. Resident evil is a horror game and that game has a brightness setting.
